Raw & Refined is the place to be during the summer because pool + bar and food + music = a great time. My first time here was at an evening private pool event. This place has many pros and some cons. Pros: -Pool was amazing. The hot tub was at a perfect temp. -Music selection was great. -They validate parking for up to two hours. Cons: -Service wasn't the best. The server taking poolside orders kept passing me. Even when she said she'll be back, she never came back. I ended up ordering at the bar. -My drink was very weak. I ordered an orange crush and feel like I paid $12 for orange juice and sprite mix. -Not sure if there was too much chlorine in the water but it severely faded my swimsuit. I'm hoping it was just a bad night because I really want to give them another try next summer for the Monday swim service. read more

Came here on a Friday. Enjoyed the nice size pool. The water was nice and cool. They do have showers as well as washers and dryers. In addition to the pool, they have a good menu. While here I had the watermelon salad, tuna tartare and calamari. All were good! Of the 3, I loved the tuna tartare the most. In addition to the food I did have several crushes. One being grapefruit. I am not sure where these good reviews come from but I was watching people sending food back all night including myself. This is the new Raw and Refined in middle river. Loved their day pass options to use the pool and hang out in summer - it's hard to find that in the city!! Great views of the harbor as well and really nice bathroom facilities plus dryers for wet suits if needed. The food was delish, the chicken caesar tacos are a MUST, I still think about them. Lots of options for drinks as well. Get there early to get a good spot with an umbrella if wanted, but overall really well organized and just a really fun addition to the city! read more

Had a girls dinner at R&R to celebrate taking the bar exam. We sat at their outdoor bar right on the water. Service was good. For drinks we had strawberry daiquiris, frozen orange crushes, grapefruit crushes, strawberry crushes, and blueberry mojitos - all really tasty and perfect for summer. The manager Brent is an Arrogant A-hole. I literally spent over $150.00 last week for food and drink at Raw and Refined Swim Club. I do this every time I come. There was a small rain squall lasting for a few minutes so a few of us stood under the Cabanas which was empty to get out of the rain. Keep in mind that there was no one at the pool and only one of the Cabanas was actually being used. He literally had the nerve to ask us to leave, ( I am a 65 yr old woman ) stating only "paying" customers can be there. We reminded him that we have been "paying" for a pool membership for over 15 years, and we were only staying there for a few seconds until the rain stopped. He did not let up and was extremely rude. What a jerk. We literally were there for less than 5 minutes. Guess what I will never buy a damn thing at any of their restaurants. I need a formal apology before I give them a dime of my money. If he had waited ten minutes and kept his Napoleon syndrome mouth closed we would have left as soon as the rain stopped and the money from me to his restaurant would have kept on flowing. Plus the food was never that great in the first place. What a loser. It was raining dude , we weren't planning to stay under the cabana. I can see myself visiting Raw & Refined in the summer. I ordered the Calamari ($18), which had a sweet chili glaze and a side chipotle mayo. Overall, the flavor was good, although the breading was falling apart. Their Coconut Mojito ($13) was really good and refreshing. They do add soda water which is a little different from the mojitos I had in the past. The service was good. Me and my friend were the only ones at the outdoor bar near the pool. I dropped by after a walking event. I truly appreciate them opening up the space for us to decompress and socialize after. There were supposed to be drink specials, but I couldn't tell if there were any or not. Servers worked hard to take care of the large crowd. I ordered a few small plates& The jerk chicken sliders were a highlight. I like their guacamole and chips as well. I wish the hummus came with veggies and pita versus chips--- maybe that's something to they can consider adding to the menu. As a restaurant, they're pretty good with a great location. But I love this place for their events. I try to keep up with their lineup on Instagram, they're always so much fun and a pretty good deal. Visited Raw & Refined after other plans in the area fell through! It was Labor Day, but the bar area wasn't too crowded. I was with a friend who had been there multiple times who also indicated the bar wasn't really crowded (in comparison to what he's seen). It took almost 15 minutes to get menus, and another 10 to get water. Each time they set the items down and kind of ran away so we weren't able to order anything yet. We finally had to go to the bar to ask someone to come take our order. So probably 30 min into being there we finally ordered (drinks and food). We got the nachos and calamari to share, and I ordered the smoked turkey sandwich. I asked to sub truffle fries for the chips. The food was all pretty decent, but my side was incorrect which they fixed relatively quickly. Again, when it came time to try to get the check we had to get up to find someone to get our check. They also add a 3% service charge which I generally don't mind, but irked me this visit since we literally had to get up from our table to find someone to get anything we needed. Overall, I enjoyed the food but based on the experience didn't think it was worth the price point and service. read more

Went here to go to the pool. On a hot day it was needed. They have a basic menu like most pools it's just food to get you by for the day. Lol. I feel like there were only 3 servers doing the entire pool. But the service was really good considering. They added on a gratuity but we definitely tipped on top of that. Service was good. Poolside. This location has changed concepts a couple times, but the current version thankfully survived the pandemic! The location is fabulous, with wonderful indoor and outdoor seating facing the water and marina. They have recently expanded to the bar area next to the pool as well. It's not clear to me if they own the pool or have an agreement with the owners. The menu is delightful! At one point they had more flatbread options, but now they have reduced that section of the menu to offer more appetizers and entrées. Great decision! On our most recent trip we shared a variety of choices: The tuna tostada is tasty, but oddly portioned and difficult to share. It would be far better as an appetizer if it had a third less tuna/topping, and/or was split between two or three smaller tortillas. The fried calamari were amazing! The flavor profile is great and the dipping sauce is phenomenal. The burrata was equally amazing. It felt like a deconstructed bruschetta/burrata combination. The housemade toast was perfectly prepared, the burrata was soft and creamy without being runny, and the tomato chutney was flavorful and well prepared. For entrées we tried the cavatelli with goat cheese sauce... Which was absolutely fantastic. We also tried the Coppa flatbread. Honestly I can't rave enough about this flatbread. It's a must have. Finally we tried the lobster roll. The truffle Parmesan french fries were shoestring style and crispy. They were well prepared and well seasoned. The lobster roll itself was overflowing with lobster meat and very tasty. Honestly the entire dish as well executed... so I know this may seem odd... but I probably wouldn't order this again. There was absolutely nothing wrong with this dish. It's just that the other options were so amazing I don't think I would choose this one over them. To drink I ordered the Promenade Paloma which was a good choice. As an appetizer I ordered the Calamari and the Tuna Tostada. The Calamari was way too over cooked that it pretty much tasted like fishy breading. The Tuna was light and fresh. The taste was standard. For dinner I went with the goat cheese cavatelli. I enjoyed this as a vegetarian dish. It seemed like there was a bit too much white wine in it, but I did like it and my cousin ended up ordering after tasting mine. Made the very big mistake of ordering the Island Nachos......they arrived cold and "jerk chicken" was tiny tiny cubes of chicken thighs with no flavor. I tried to clean some of queso of these cubes so I could give my dog the chicken and was rewarded with yellow stained hands.......stains that I could not remove with water!?! Let the waiter know and what did he do..............charge us $26 (Tip included) and ask us if we'd like a To Go Box??? If this is customer service in Baltimore...............??? After this terrible experience I don't think I will ever walk in a Baltimore restaurant again that has not been personally recommended by someone. Tis the season! Visited Raw & Refined this Sunday after the O's game on its opening weekend for the season. It's right off the water with a very refreshing breeze and beautiful scenery. We sat in a cozy corner booth and watch the PGA tournament and had the chicken strips, crab cake burger, regular burger, truffle fries and strawberry lemonade crush buckets. We were so hungry we devoured the delicious food before i realized I didn't take pics for you guys. Therefore, if the pics don't look appealing it's because it was so good we already ate half before we realized lol. Just docked the yacht and everyone was on their own for dinner. I didn't want to walk far so I went to the Raw and Refined because it was close to the marina. By its name how could I go wrong. Didn't want raw seafood for dinner. I ordered the spicy chicken sandwich, it was served in a paper bag on the plate. It had no lettuce or tomatoes. It was not spicy. Maybe they thought because they put a pickle on it, that was considered spicy, It was so dry I asked for mayo to moisten it up a little. Didn't want to bother the bar tender to much because he was playing catch with a beach ball behind the bar. It definitely was a slow Friday night for the bar. My experience traveling the east coast, the bartenders make great tips talking and being friendly to the people at the bar. It was a good thing that the TVs were working and football was on. Came here with coworkers the other day and the restaurant was totally accommodating of the fact that we had 12 people - they let us sit in the back on 3 separate tables and enforced social distancing without being rude or judgmental about it, which was great. For drinks I had the cucumber crush, melon seltzer, and tried a sip of the gummy crush, and they were all great! I also got the truffle Parmesan fries (that weren't on the paper menu that we got but the waitress let me order it anyways when I mentioned I saw it online) and those were crispy, tasty, and well made. My coworker said that the burger was one of the best burgers they'd ever had.. but I didn't get to try it to confirm. The overall vibe was really cool too, it was sort of a mix of tiki and lounge bar. I absolutely loved Raw & Refined! I came here for a work event that was being hosted by R&R and really enjoyed my experience. At first it was a little confusing knowing where to go because I'm not from the Baltimore area but once the hostess guided us towards our event party everything was super enjoyable. Their pool was lit up even though you couldn't go in it which was nice so it still had that night time feel to it. We had nachos, chicken wings and a couple other items that I did not eat as I'm stomach sensitive but I did really enjoy the nachos and wings. My cohort friends and I walked along the marina and it was nice to not have to check in with the hostess every time we walked from the outdoor space, inside. I visited R&R pre covid when they opened and enjoyed the food so i wanted to make sure i supported them during COVID. They have great outdoor space so it was easy to distance and feel safe. Our waitress was very safe keeping distance, wearing her mask and being conscious about what she touched and where. I did notice that some of the staff and a bartender didnt wear their mask while preparing drinks which was a little concerning.
