Warm Pecan Tart

I grew up in the Owings Mills area and did not realize this establishment has been hidden here all this while. Came here for dinner as a party of 5 and all of our entrees were great. Our table ordered mocktails, which were just okay. The service was excellent and we appreciated our server accommodating us given that the kitchen was closing shortly after our reservation time.

It's been over a decade since I've been to Linwoods which is crazy because I drive past here everyday. A friend of mine gave me a Linwoods gift card as a wedding gift so hubby and I made reservations and went on a Friday night. Amazing service from Josh. The food and drinks are stellar. I can't wait to go back!

Honestly one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. The restaurant is beautiful with a view to the grill and dim lighting. This menu has a great mix of seafood, vegetable, and classic favorites with an inventive twist. I came with my husband for our anniversary and everything was a fantastic. Service was welcoming, kind, and fast. Our server Keri was so pleasant and offered great suggestions. We started with the spicy tuna tartar, it was a really interesting and tasty dish. The kitchen split in half for us to share and it was really thoughtful and this is a hard one to share! I ordered the shrimp and scallop linguine - spectacular dish. The seafood was definitely the star and so well prepared. My husband ordered the French onion burger and what a treat! The burger was juicy, and really tasted like French onion soup! It might be the best burger in Baltimore. I can forget the warm bread and butter you start the meal with, it was so yummy - I totally snapped a picture! They ended the meal with their s'mores dessert it was so thoughtful! This experience was top notch, so much so we are already planning to return!

This place was truly amazing. We went to celebrate my mother's birthday and from the moment we walked in, everything was great. The hosts at the front were super nice and took us to our table right away. The chef even came out to wish my mother a happy birthday and make sure everything was to our liking, which was such a thoughtful touch. The staff was wonderful. Our waitress, along with everyone who brought out food, was so nice and professional. We were a party of 5 and had a 9 year old with us. Our waitress was very accommodating and even went above and beyond to make a special sweet tea for the child. The food was AMAZING. We ordered steak, sea bass, scallops, and salmon and everything was cooked perfectly. The steak was soooo good that my dad finally understood why he should order a medium rare steak. It was cooked PERFECT. The drinks were also incredible. GET THE ESPRESSO MARTINI. It will CHANGE YOUR LIFE. It was PERFECTLY BALANCED, SUPER SMOOTH, and just DELICIOUS. Honestly, the BEST ESPRESSO MARTINI I have ever had in my entire life. My mom, dad, and sister all agreed it was amazing. We are already planning to come back JUST for that drink. Halfway through dinner we went to the restroom and saw more of the restaurant. The whole place was very clean, and even though it was busy and every table was full, it never felt too loud or rushed. The staff looked sharp, were very attentive, and the whole place ran like a well oiled machine. The restroom was spotless, modern, and fresh with no smell and no tissue on the floor. I also LOVED the open kitchen concept. They have a normal bar, but on the other side there is a bar that faces right into the kitchen. Next time I come, which will be very soon, I will definitely sit at the kitchen bar. And after that, I will sit at the regular bar just to see the magic that goes into that ESPRESSO MARTINI. I cannot wait to return. I 10000000% recommend.

My Mother treated me to a belated Birthday Lunch. She suggested this place, she's been here several times. This is my first time here. It's upscale with an open kitchen and a nice ambiance. We had reservations for 1:00 pm. They were fairly busy. I saw several guest celebrating Birthdays also. We were seated quickly. Our Server Josh kindly greeted us. We ordered quite a few things. Our food came out quickly. Everything tasted delicious. Our Server Josh was a delight, he was hospitable, charming and entertaining. He made our experience enjoyable. I highly recommend for quality service and great food.

Linwoods was very much an upscale restaurant to eat at. I was very pleased with the service. Ahme was my server and he was a perfect blend of attentive, funny, polite, and everything you'd like in a server. I ordered scampi and he gave me a spoon "in case i wanted to eat like the Italians". He had a great sense of humor and really made sure everyone was satisfied. The food was as good as you could expect. Everything tasted delicious and I was pleasantly surprised to find this spot after never having heard of it.

Linwood has some amazing food, I highly recommend the lobster tempura and pistachios salmon! Not only is this a good place to dine at night , but also a great place to have lunch and still get that fine dining experience, I was highly impressed, the service was giving a upscale type of atmosphere!

French Onion Soup

A Baltimore fine dining institution, Linwoods is the perfect place for a celebration! Rustic tables with white table cloths & friendly greeters from the moment you walk in. -Maryland Crab Soup has huge lumps of crab meat. -Soup of the day was this carrot curry soup with crème fraiche - 1 of the best soups I've ever had! -French onion soup had a subtle broth with fantastic gruyere cheese -Crab cake is exceptional with this delicious tartar sauce, old bay chips were a bit oily. -Korean beef tacos were enough for a meal with a soup -Warm apple tart a la mode with housemade pastry. Phenomenal service that truly made every moment of the meal feel special!

The glass is on the table wrapped in the cherry i chewed.

I had dinner at Linwoods in Owings Mills yesterday to celebrate my sister's birthday. The service was amazing and food was really good. The only issue that arised during this dinner was the fact that I had a piece of glass in my mouth after biting down on a from my old fashion. This was very uncomfortable and could had really caused me harm if I swallowed it. I made the server aware of the incident and she got the manager. I was really stunned about the sharp piece of glass that almost harmed me I couldn't think right. All the manager said was he will take an appetizer and my drink off the bill. He handed me a new drink but I was shocked from the thought of that piece of glass in my mouth I was afraid to eat or drink anything else. This is definitely a fine establishment but for that mistake made by your staff the meal should have been on the house. I not telling you to not eat there but please be careful. I also posted the pictures. Linwood you could have done better. Veltjr782@hotmail.com if you need to contact me.

I had lunch and enjoyed a delicious beef tenderloin a beet salad and a couple drinks! The drinks were good- and they were more like a drink and a third with the shaker given to me along with the glass- the food was flavorful the steak was cooked to perfection the ambiance was nice- it was chill vibes for lunch

I substitute the scallops with shrimp. i received a large bowl of fried rice, crab meat that was almost non-existent (maybe a teaspoonful), and maybe two-three chopped shrimp. So, mostly I just had fried rice. The price was $17.99. Meanwhile, my husband ordered a fried shrimp basket. He received eight medium/large fried shrimp and two pieces of corn. His ordered was $14.00. I am very disappointed with what I received and will not order this again.

The quality of the seafood for the price point was great! The restaurant is pretty small but they have a nice flow to service and seemed to manage it well. We didn't have a long wait when we arrived and the food came out quick but the small waiting area was packed by the time we were leaving so I would suggest trying it earlier rather than later. Now let's get into the food. We started with the Banging Salmon Bites and they were very delicious. Seasoned to perfection. I'm not the biggest fan of bang bang sauce and I was expecting the bites to come tossed in sauce but it was drizzled on top which I actually appreciated so I could control the amount of sauce on my bite. Next time I will ask for it on the side but I did really like it. The salmon was juicy and flavorful. For my entree I did the build your own combo with a pound of snow crab legs and 1/2 pound of headless shrimp. The combo comes with 1 corn and two potatoes and I added additional corn which was two more pieces. I had the yard mix sauce which is a combination of all of the sauces together and it was delicious. Not overly salty but actually flavorful. I did medium spice level I think next time I'll try the hot. The medium was not spicy enough for me. The seafood comes out on a hot sizzling plate which is a nice touch and actually helps keep the seafood warm longer. The drinks were also a really good price and pretty strong. Overall I really enjoyed the food will def be back to try some more menu options and maybe happy hour. Only deducted one star because our server was lacking a bit but not terrible. He just seemed to need some more training but he may have just been new.

We all got to go containers. Service- exceptional. We were there at 2 pm, so not a rush time. Our waitress was friendly, just the right amount of attentiveness. We ordered the shrimp and grits, oysters rockefeller, shrimp sandwich, french toast, crab cake benny, a coffee cocktail, and regular coffee. Overall, everything was just okay, not terrible, but not something I'd rush back for either. The biggest letdown was the shrimp and grits. It came with what looked like a spoonful of grits, which was disappointing. We mentioned it to our waitress, and she brought us some extra grits to go, which I appreciated. The crab cake benny was decent, but the crab cake itself didn't have much flavor. The $12 coffee mocktail also wasn't worth the price in my opinion. We ended up ordering the beignets for dessert, but had to send them back because they were raw in the middle. The service was okay but it could definitely be better. I will say they tried to fix the issues we brought up, which I appreciated. I've been to the O'Donnell Street location a few times, and honestly, I've had much better food and drinks there. If you're in the area and have been wanting to try this location, I'd still say give it a shot because everyone has different experiences. It just didn't wow me this time. I've been giving out a lot of 5 stars recently, but this is a place that really deserves it. It's a must visit. It'd been many moons since I had escargot, so I got it. Despite one cooked snail being basically impossible to scrape out and my fine motor dexterity isn't great, it was delightful. My wife loved her seafood stew. Our shared side of the grilled Zucchini (definitely enough to share) was also a highlight. We've been raving about our fried clam sandwich and lobster roll since. Both were amazing; my wife said it was the best lobster roll she's had (we've never been to maine or anywhere known for lobster). The dessert passion fruit pie was a great way to end, also shared, but the crust was a little too thick and the dollop on top did kind of over power the curd. The birthday sprinkles (it wasnt either of our birthdays) were cute. We will be back. Especially to try the raw bar (We're pregnant and didnt want to risk it).

This bar does not give any presentation or flair to their non alcoholic beverages. Pom and Circumstance was zesty and sweet . The Half Moon drink was nothing more than grapefruit juice with a cherry . I was expecting more presentation since it's literally a tonic. I would like to mention that the bar was slammed with guests and the tables were not getting their drinks on time. So, maybe it was a slippery Sunday night for the bar and my zero proof drinks lacked in pizazz. The watermelon salad was a wild card choice as Glenwoods does not have much fresh fruit on the menu. I wish it was not so chunky ... chunks of watermelon and tomato covered in a balsamic sauce and feta cheese. This salad pairs nicely with the arugula. The sides were hot and came out expeditiously. The burger was undercooked and the server offered to re-Fire a new burger. 5 out 10 night .
