Found David's on TicTok. The posts made the food and place look fantastic. While it's a beautiful restaurant, it didn't meet my expectations from social media. I arrived for brunch, food options were nice. I ordered the BLT crab cake. It was a little on the dry side and the fries were soggy. Megan the bartender and server was somewhat unpleasant in the beginning but the longer I was there, she was pretty helpful and friendlier. I will try David's again for a second chance. read more

Please save your money. This brunch is one step above the free breakfast offered at your local chain hotel. Buffet offerings did not match the menu posted online. All of the savory items (sliced beef and mashed potatoes, shrimp and grits, salmon) looked recycled from the dinner service from the night before. Flies all over the restaurant. Was in the area for a wedding. Really not much going on aside from the Mall, Casino, and heavy drinking. All of which are right up my alley. We stopped by David's for brunch on a Sunday and waited to be seated. Took about 10ish minutes even though I made a reservation, and there were 10+ tables open. All good though. What we snagged: -Bottomless mimosa's ($12). Not advertised on the menu ANYWHERE. However, ask a you shall receive. Very good sized beverages too! -BLT. Very good choice. Large pieces of perfectly cooked bacon and lovely yellow tomatoes. -Regular burger. Was large and in charge. However, it wasn't medium in temperature like I requested. More like medium to well. Wasn't going to complain though as I was starving. Fries were great. -Eggs Benedict. Nothing to blow your socks off, but delish nonetheless. Met some friends who were staying at the hotel at the casino and decided to come here as it was close. We walked in and was greeted by the hostess. We were given the option to sit in the bar (and seat ourselves) or a table, we went with the bar. At the bar, the bartender greeted us and asked what she could get us started with. We reviewed the menu and decided on just drinks as we were still missing folks. The drink was spectacular and delicious! As I watched food being delivered to the bar it all looked good and the people eating it looked pleased (I actually asked the guy sitting next to me about what he ordered and he offered me some however I declined). My cousins and I have been to David's for Galentine's the last 3 years and usually have a great experience. How ever this was the worst experience I have has an any restaurant and will NOT be returning. We made a reservation for the bottomless brunch buffet with runs about 70 per person before the tip ( There were 9 of us). We placed orders for bottomless mimosas that never came. When I got to the buffet, the plate smelled like old dishwater. On my plate I got French toast, potatoes bacon, salmon, and brisket. The buffet is not that big and it once I got to my table , about 10 feet away, my food was ICE cold. By the time all 9 of us got to our table the mimosas still hadn't come. We asked the server about water because as you know about 99.9 percent of restaurants provide water and already have it available their guest. The server came back with Voss water that he informed us was $6 a bottle. Who charges for water and why isn't it complementary. It was very inhumane. We spoke with the manager and was told that the restaurant was under new management. This was by far the worse experience I have ever had at a restaurant and I will never recommend David's to anyone again. Just throw the whole restaurant away. read more

We tried this restaurant while we were staying at the hotel. Very disappointed. It seemed to take forever to get our food even though there were maybe 3-4 tables of diners. I ordered the crab leg special which came with a baked potato. Once the food arrived my potato was lukewarm as were the crab legs. I sent the potato back. At the next table- the same occurred. Sat in the bar area, at the wall couch, next to the entertainer/singer at 6:25pm. Bar seating is almost full while bar area is fairly empty. I assumed a server would canvas the bar area. It's 6:55pm and no one has approached me. I'm very visible and right next to the entertainer/singer. There are three bartenders at the bar ... This restaurant is relatively new. It's located inside the Casino live Hotel. We had a concert to attend and figured let's enjoy a drink and dinner before the show. So glad we did our server Kristen had a smile on her face and was very efficient with checking on us and our service. The food was great! Started off with the calamari. It was plentiful and delicious! The wine was to our liking. We had the riesling. We both ordered seafood and actually did a little tasting of both. The fried oysters was nice and crunchy. My husband Thai basil clams was yummy with a nice kick to it. Both dishes was cooked perfectly. They had live entertainment. Very good music. We definitely plan on returning. I booked a private event here this week to entertain 100 customers. Last year did the same and it was 4 star with some slight hiccups. This year 5 star for sure. David's is a beautiful bar and restaurant located on the casino level of Live! near the hotel elevators. I think it's the best sit down restaurant in the area and a great option for food and drink. We were immediately seated and our server was very nice. I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs and the BF ordered the chicken and waffles. We both got a glass of wine. The food itself wasn't anything out of this world but it was tasty and did the job. I thought the spaghetti was savory and the portion was huge!! It was easily two and a half meals worth. The BF enjoyed the chicken and waffles. He said the waffles were a little too thick but it was good. I liked the environment in the restaurant. It was very nice and chic. What a nasty experience. We were looking for options to take a group and found David's online. We noted that the food and beverage menus posted online looked interesting but also noted there were no prices listed. I called the restaurant in an attempt to get an idea of the prices of a few items and the telephone was answered by someone who sounded like an operator. Upon asking to get some price information, she directed me to their website. I told her I had already checked and no prices were listed. She then suggested i try Google. I told her I had already done so. She then told me that, in that case, providing me some price information was "not something we can accommodate." Wow. I asked what hours the restaurant would be open that day and she flippantly directed me to the MD Live site. I told her the reason I was asking was because Google, the holy grail to which she had directed me earlier in the conversation, gave conflicting information and I had no way of knowing which was accurate. Rather than be helpful, she was argumentative. Let me be clear...we can afford whatever prices they charge but will steer clear of an establishment with no transparency. Do they even disclose prices on the menus in person? Or is it all a secret until the bill arrives? Doesn't matter. The lack of transparency and highly unpleasant operator are more than enough to ensure that they, and the casino, will never see a dime from us. read more

So this is my second visit so I figured it was time for me to post my 2 cents. Of the bat I love that this place is 24/7. This place is perfect for that 3am breakfast fix. The breakfast menu is served ALL DAY!!! The menu selection is pretty descent; hong-Kong French toast, buttermilk panCAKEs, steak and eggs, Belgian Waffles......etc. You know what they don't have? Shrimp and Grits!!!! No dang on grits at all!!! Apparently grits are only a lunch and dinner food.....since when???? I like my grits 24/7 just like the restaurants hours! Next time I'll have to come at lunch or dinner to get the full option of whatever I want, shrimp and grits, chicken and waffles, spaghetti and stuffed jumbo meatball (enough for 2).....I like options and when I can't decide on one I just get them all!!! read more

I attended David's for the first time for the David's Private Selection Dinner featuring Van Gogh Vodka. I had a great time. The manager was friendly and fun. The atmosphere was very chill and laid back with a modern feel. I was apart of an event that served a four course chef crafted meal. Can we say AMAZING! I enjoyed every plate that was put in front of me. The staff was amazing, very attentive. Very accommodating seeing as one of the dishes I could not have due to an allergy. Outside of the event they do have a bar in the restaurant. It is within the MD Live Hotel located in the lobby. I would love to visit here on a regular day. Love the ambiance here! Given that the restaurant is fairly new, the decor and setup is, of course, pretty! My friend and I came here on a Saturday night for dinner--had reservations, so we were seated right away. We had came from the casino with our alcoholic drinks, and they allowed us to bring it to the table to finish. The food was great!! For appetizer, we ordered the Hot crab dip--it was delicious, with a generous portion too. We tried the Live! Crush flight--a mixed vodka drink with cranberry, orange and grapefruit juice--a bit sweet for my taste, but good and served in actual cup sizes! For entrees, we got the Shrimp & grits and the Rockfish Imperial--both amazing, I would highly recommend them! Price-wise, it's not extremely expensive, probably a bit more than your normal restaurant outside of a casino--but I must say, it's probably one of the better restaurants in the Live! casino! Service could be improved though--we waited a while for any of our food to be served. read more

Had a great experience at David's. Great ambiance, could be considered on the fancier side, though hotel/casino crowd makes it a bit casual. Eating on the healthier side this this month, so skipped the delicious sounding cornbread. Opted for the hot and sour sea bass with baby bok choy, mushrooms, and lobster broth. Incredible. The lobster sauce had quite a delicious kick, but not too much. It was definitely brothy, not creamy, which was good for me. The sea bass was cooked to perfection! A little crisp on the outside, flaky goodness on the inside. Also tried the rockfish imperial which was equally amazing. David's can definitely cook a fish well! Ordered the steamed shrimp as well. I don't usually get to MD Live! Casino but I got an invite from a very handsome guy that I couldn't refuse. Neither of us had been to the restaurant so we enjoyed the experience together David's is located in the lobby of the hotel and is very pretty and modern inside. We had reservations so were seated right away. We started with bourbon and a Shrimp Cocktail appetizer. Both were delicious! The one takeaway here was that they didn't have the big ice cube for the bourbon so we had to drink it a little faster so it didn't get watered down. We placed our dinner order so I got the Shrimp & Grits, my date chose the steak. The Shrimp & Grits were delicious but had a bit more liquid in them than I'm used to but still delicious. The steak was also good. He asked for medium but got well but it was perfectly seasoned and not dry at all. Our waiter was missing in action for a bit longer than I thought was appropriate so the awesome hostess took our order. She was great, provided excellent recommendations and service. And she took the order without writing it down and everything was correct when it arrived. That's an awesome skill I don't have! Overall, I loved it and would definitely go back read more

I've given David's so many chances and I'm over it. The very first time a came here everything was fantastic! My steak was cooked perfectly, the service was amazing, and I was in heaven. The last 3 visits here have gone slowly down the drain and I'm tired of wasting my money. I don't know if they got a new chef in the kitchen or what the issue is but I can no longer be a patron of this establishment. Here are the accounts of my last three visits here: 1) Ordered the ribeye. Sent of back 3 times bc the temperature was off. I asked for medium well and kept getting well done. I eventually gave up and left. 2) I ordered pancakes. The tasted amazing but were so overcooked on one side I had to slice it with a knife. 3) I ordered the ribeye again. They brought me a NY strip instead. After waiting another what seemed to be 15 minutes, they brought me a ribeye that tasted like it was marinated in syrup. The manager, Oliver, came to speak with me and did not apologize for the steak mixup at all. ANd he said the marinade had brown sugar in it so the steak was going to taste sweet not matter what. Even after I explained I ordered this same meal several times and it has NEVER tasted this way. He just gave me a dazed look like "oh well". Welp David's you just lost a customer. Quite disappointing overall. We've enjoyed the Sunday brunch at David's in the past, but think that we will be trying some other brunch places going forward. First, David's no longer includes coffee or juices in the buffett price and they must be purchased separately....What?! Second, the brunch menu items have been pared down to look more like a Denny's brunch rather than a high end brunch location. The french toast was way under-cooked, the oysters had an off taste to them, the shrimp were overcooked, and no mushrooms in the make your own omelet station....What?! The best part of the food offerings were the desserts for sure. Finally, the bill nickel and dimes you with fees. facility fee, mandatory gratuity regardless of party size, and state tax that made no mathematical sense at all. It's a shame that our fav brunch place has gone downhill recently....time to find a new Sunday Brunch location! read more

I went by myself to have a relaxing lunch on 8/16 at 3:00. There was only one other couple there. I ordered the turkey Cristo. The sandwich was grilled on the outside, but was so wet that it fell apart in my hand. It tasted like raw egg. I looked inside and it had been soaked in egg and was extremely soggy. I ate some of the inside and the fries were fine. The waitress looked at it and offered to take it back. I did not want to wait because I was getting very nauseous. This was a horrible experience. I was in a party of 6, for brunch. We had a 10:15 reservation. We arrived at our 10:00 we were seated at 10:10. Our order was taken at 10:40, we didn't get our food until 11:50. ~ Loved this place. The lighting is right.. the furniture is comfortable. Not disappointed at all. Finally made it to the casino and I had to try David's. I really wanted those French toast, but I was only in the mood for drinks and wings. If this place was located in my neighborhood........ I'd only eat wings from here. They were absolutely perfect !! They only give you like five of them, so y'all know the monster has to order 2 of them. I love these wings and I will be traveling to this busy place to get them again soon. I'm going to get ahead and rank them #2 in my on my all-time list after "Avenue Kitchen & Bar". The drinks were cool. The salad was fresh. I had a great bartender that showed mad love. It got a little busy after a while and they definitely didn't have enough bartenders working. The poor girl was darn near doing everything herself. So I couldn't get mad about a little wait. All and all, it's very relaxing. Spent about $170.00 for this great experience. Even though I think the Casino is the devil, I'll def go back there to try more of the menu. Very disappointed with this $300.00 carryout order!!! Several of my menu requests were incomplete or just not what I ordered. Very frustrating when you place an order to go, get all the way home, and experience the anger of not getting what you paid for. 1. I ordered 2 classic burgers with bacon that tasted like overseasoned bean mash and both were missing the bacon that I paid for. They were so nasty that I was unable to eat! 2. The Shrimp Green Goddess Salad was missing the cherry tomatoes, goat cheese, chives, and radish. How careless is this??? 3. The 2 Grilled New York Strip Steaks were well done instead of medium-rare, and the bacon butter was not included. The added crabcakes were dry. 4. The WORST! My family and I took my mother and law to celebrate her 75th birthday. When we got the bill, we were overcharged by $1000. They said it was a system glitch. Six tables were divided between 2 waitresses, and neither of them caught the overage charge. The Manager Andy tried to facilitate, but they really thought we would give them a $300 tip. My boyfriend and I tried out David's because we were underwhelmed with the restaurant choices around the Arundel Mills area and wanted to try something nicer. After looking at pictures and reviews on Yelp, I was sold and booked for dinner reservations. Upon entering the restaurant, David is exquisitely beautiful inside the casino/ hotel. It feels open, classy, and inviting. We ordered a turkey BLT sandwich and a sausage meat flatbread for dinner, along with some soft drinks. We wanted to keep dinner light since we planned to shop right afterwards. Food was a solid 3 stars - it wasn't anything special or memorable besides the seasoned fries. The bill ended being $50 for two people, which wasn't so bad but were shocked that two sodas cost $7. The sodas were literally a half of a can, which was kind of insulting. Other than the mediocre food, the staff was very attentive and made you feel very welcomed. Overall, we had higher hopes for the food given its beautiful atmosphere. read more

Arrived at 6pm our order was taken toll after 7. That was just the drinks and appetizers. At the point I was ready to go. We were made aware that they were short staffed although there where plenty of employees walking around doing nothing. We had the pork burnt ends fir the appetizer. Do not recommend they were not prepared properly at all. I ordered the classic burger with no option on how I would like my burger prepared. The burger comes with these huge potato wedges. I will say the burger and wedges were delicious. My husband had the crab cake sandwich with brussel sprouts. He enjoyed it but it was a no for me. He also a smoked old fashion, super watered down. David...David...David...my, my my! I came to David's to celebrate my mother's birthday following a friend's recommendation...and I am so glad I did! First off, let's start with the vibe here... David's is very modern, sexy and chic, making it easy to forget the 70's era carpet at the connected MD Live Casino. Then, let's talk about the astoundingly good food...part seafood lover's dream and part American/Asian/Italian fusion that serves just enough of everything to satisfy everyone in your party. From appetizer to entree, everything here that graced my lips was simply delicious...and then some. At our table, we had the Corn & Crab Bisque, Caramelized Onion Soup, Crab on Crab, Belgian Waffles, and the Chicken Wing Lollipops. We were able to enjoy stellar customer service from our waitress, who took the time to explain the background of the business (Heyyy David) and the menu offerings. Would I, Katrina L., the Yelp Elite, ever visit again? Most definitely! And I would also be on the lookout for one of the $100 bills David is rumored to be passing out whenever he visits. read more

This was my third trip to David's but my first review. If I'm being honest my first two experiences were not very memorable. This mainly had to do with the service. During the first trip we attempted to get a table without a reservation and even though the restaurant was half empty we were told that there would be a 45 minute to an hour wait until we were seated. We politely declined and walked away. As I walked away I opened the open table app and made a reservation for David's for five minutes later. We turned around, walked back and were immediately seated. Just seemed silly. Our second trip we dealt with service from our waitress that left a lot to be desired. Long waits between courses, not checking in on us, not keeping our drinks full, etc. Regardless of these experiences the food has been excellent and why we keep coming back. That brings me to this most recent visit and this review. On this trip we were seated immediately. Our waiter was soooo nice, friendly and attentive. He did seem inexperienced and his name tag said he was a bus service so I can only imagine that he has recently been promoted or they were short handed that day. For the life of me I can not remember his name but I would like to owners to recognize him. I know the owners monitor reviews so please feel free to contact me directly so that I can describe this young man in more detail. I was craving pasta and when we ordered I had the choice between spaghetti or penne pasta in Alfredo. I asked if I could have spaghetti with Alfredo instead of penne but I was told that it couldn't be substituted??? That bugged me at first but I went with the Penne and added Chicken. My wife went with the Salmon. We ordered the crab dip as our appetizer and I enjoyed it very much. It came out piping hot with pretzel bread sticks. The bread actually stole the show here ... delicious. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her entree. I tasted the potatoes that came with the salmon and they were spectacular. My aggravation from not being able to get spaghetti with Alfredo melted away when I tasted my meal. It was AWESOME. The pasta was cooked perfectly. The sauce and chicken couldn't have been any better. David's has a lot going for it. With focus on the customer and meeting their needs I feel like it could be a five star restaurant. Came here for an after gambling meal around 4:40 PM on Saturday June 8th 2019. It was fairly empty, only a few people at the bar and a couple of people were at tables. Our server/bartender was Courtney. She was very friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. She went over the drink menu and explained food menu items. The drink I chose was Crown Royal Apple with Sweet Tea on the rocks. She recommended the Crab on Crab so that's what I got. It comes with Cole slaw and creamy sauce and I added a side of fries. My drink was good. So I had 1 more. The crab on crab is literally a crab cake sitting in a crab shell. It was very flavorful. Good chunks of real crab but I just wish it was a little more done. If I got it again I would specify for it to be broiled a little longer. But I do love the taste. The cole slaw was crunchy and a little sweet which I like. The fries were just steak fries. Nothing special. Overall I loved the atmosphere and Courtney was great. I'll come back happy hour to see what other good treats I can try. Be advised that happy hour is only Monday to Thursday. Stopped by for brunch on a Sunday. Wasn't too crowded and was able to get seated right away. Fairly quiet which for us was perfect since we had a long night but If you're looking for a more noisy atmosphere then this isn't it. Ordered the eggs benedict but was told that they had a special crab eggs benedict for the same price so decided to upgrade and try it. It was very flavorful and the portion was pretty generous. It came with a side of nice crispy hash browns. Also tried the bottomless mimosas and Hong Kong style French toast which honestly could've fed 2-3 people and was so sweet and buttery.
