a drink in a glass on a napkin

In the lobby of the BWI Doubletree hotel. We stopped in looking for a pre-flight meal and drink. It's not a big space, with a very short food menu. Drinks were fine, no cocktail list or specials. Bartender was efficient. The "flatbread" looked and tasted like those inexpensive round frozen pizzas. Served hot, but definitely skip. Strangely, the credit card system wasn't working? Odd, because couldn't they use the hotel front desk (unless the whole hotel was down), and odd because they should have said something when we sat down. Most people don't carry a lot of cash these days, fortunately we had enough. Despite the promising name and the separate (from the hotel) venue listings, this is pretty much just a hotel lobby bar. Grab a drink if you're staying here...on your way somewhere else for dinner. It's not worth a stop otherwise.

The restaurant is part of the Doubletree Hilton hotel near the BWI airport in Baltimore. I stayed at the hotel for 4 nights and got to eat at Eden's every morning and night because simply there isn't much options near by. For breakfast I tried the omelette and didn't like it but the southwest eggs wrap was really good. For dinner I usually had the chicken tortilla soup (little spicy but good) and the southwest pasta was very very delicious. I also tried the burger one night and it was good. On my last night I tried the stuffed chicken with pasta but didn't enjoy it, the chicken was salty. On weekends mornings they have a breakfast buffet. Staff are very nice. Prices are reasonable. Fresh food. Fast service. Clean.

For a hotel restaurant this place is pretty good. I had dinner there and the continental breakfast every morning for a week. The service was good everyday. For dinner the artisan grilled cheese with bacon is definitely recommended!

The food is ok. Wasn't that great but the drinks were rocking. This one of my homes away from home so I ain't gonna complain too much.

The food here is terrible and the bar way understaffed. The one bartender who was working did an amazing job considering he was alone.

The food is always delicious here, sandwiches are piled high with a meat of your choice, cheese,…read moreslaw, tomato, and fries. Onion rings are super crispy and stay together well. The drinks were HUGE but not very strong. I did get a little plastic duck with my cocktail which was very cute, though. Despite being a Pittsburgh sandwich and bar restaurant, you would expect to see Steelers memorabilia, but the Linthicum MD location is full of Baltimore Ravens gear! The service was attentive and always around if you needed something. Food comes out quickly, I didn't wait more than 10-15 minutes for anything to come out. Overall, Food and Drinks: 8.5/10 Service: 8/10 Atmosphere: 7/10

P is for Primanti Bros., representing 2024 in alphabet series:…read more I was familiar with Primati Bros. when I visited my parents in Lancaster. They live very close to a location there, and we got pizza to go when I was visiting them one time maybe in 2022. The pizza was very good as I recall. Then, I saw there was a location of Primanti Bros. opening in Linthicum Heights near BWI Airport, the first location in the Baltimore-DC area. They were having a grand opening on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, where the 1st 100 customers were going to get free sandwiches for year. I live about 13 miles from here, and I toyed with the idea of trying to be one of the first 100. But I opted against as even if I got there at 6 AM for the 10 or 10:30, whatever grand opening time, and there's still no guarantee I'd be the 1st 100. And I'd be pissed that I drove all the way there and stood there for hours to get nothing in the end. Not to mention, I had work too (although on average probably slower due to also Juneteenth holiday), which I could do from out there to a certain extent. Ultimately, I had emailed them, and they said the 100th customer got there at approximately 4 AM that morning! That's insane. This place really has a cult following! A friend, who knew I lived in AA County, loves this place and mentioned the idea of meeting up with me one Sunday to watch a Ravens game, and him and his fiancée (wife as of March 2025) went up there a few times to watch game or other reasons they went that way. On Thursday, October 3, 2024, like Juneteenth the holiday Primanti Bros. opened, it was Rosh Hosannah, and that friend who had off (as he works in a school & they get the Jewish holiday) off invited me to lunch with another friend of ours. My work was slow that day, and I needed to eat lunch somewhere anyway. I probably would've eaten lunch at home or close to home if they hadn't thought to invite me. So, I drove the 13 miles from home to meet up with them. Those two friends were kind of high. Well sure, it was a holiday they were off work. And they were hungry too! I was hungry too because well it was lunchtime. Service was prompt & friendly answering our questions. However, server was a bit of a klutz as she accidentally spelled some water got a bit on one friend. Geez, was she the one who was high?!...just kidding, it's just one of those accidents that can happen being a server. She was apologetic. My friend took it with stride having a positive attitude. I believe I got a pastrami sandwich, but could've been corned beef. Their sandwiches are big, pilled high with lots of meat & delicious too. I can really see why the following for this place with the quantity but also the high quality. Fries were plentiful too, which were also delicious. I ate well that day for lunch and was quite full. I went to an event that evening, and I think I just ate something small/snack for dinner that night after I got home around 9 PM. This was a great service with excellent plentiful sandwiches & fries and nice service.

This was pulled off their sandwich menu for combos with fries and a sweet tea. Pit beef was on my list of things to eat in Maryland. I originally wanted to check out another spot, but it wasn't convenient location wise. My friend suggested this one instead. He was the driver so I said it was fine without thinking much of it. Realized later this isn't actually the pit beef I read about and wanted, but it's a decent spot for a meat sando. All our meals came with a soup which was yummy. Kinda like chicken noodle / dumpling soup. That was actually my fav thing here. The pit beef was more like a roast beef sandwich which was fine. I actually enjoyed the brisket more. The bonfire bbq they describe like a sloppy joe. Tho I thought it wasn't as saucy and messy. Not exactly what I was expecting sandwich wise, but I was nicely surprised by their complimentary soup. I think I might have set my expectations a bit too high…read more Pulling up to the restaurant and seeing the massive amount of chopped fire wood, I was like this place is going to be off the hook. Upon entering, I thought it was an interesting setup because I assumed that this spot was a restaurant/(dive)bar. Turns out it is a restaurant in a liquor store...or maybe it's a liquor store in a restaurant. I'll admit that this misunderstanding was on me. Someone suggested the restaurant, and I did not do any follow-up research. Although the restaurant is connected to a liquor store, you cannot consume alcohol inside. But, I guess that was not a deal breaker because I was more interested in some good ol' BBQ. At the counter, I started to look over the menu because there were quite a lot of interesting items. They have a long list of various BBQ/meat items and a bunch of sides. For my dining pleasure, I went with the two meat (general BBQ and sausage), two sides combo (greens and mac n cheese), which was about 18 bucks. The price for the amount of food wasn't too bad. To be frank the food was not what I expected. Ok, the food was not horrible, but I think that I might have set my expectations too high. Normally, when I think of Texas BBQ, I think of meat that is slowly cooked so that it's very tender. The meat here seemed like it was cooked on a grill and mixed with BBQ sauce immediately prior to serving. To me, the meat was a bit tougher than what I have normally experienced in most BBQ restaurants. Perhaps, the restaurant was having a bit of an off day during our visit.

The food came at a reasonable time. Food was good but some things were much better than others. The skillet cornbread was heavily! Biscuits were good but the apple butter had a weird taste I didn't care for. I would have preferred them with jam. I also had the fried catfish and grits. The catfish was so good. The grits were good too but the gravy on the grits were a little salty and way too peppery. Because of that, I couldn't fully enjoy my grits. Also, for bottomless drinks (mimosas and sangrias), it would be great if they had pitchers and carafes because when the bar got backed up, some of the ladies at my table and I would have to wait for long periods for our glasses to be refilled. Overall, a great brunch. It has potential to be so much better. I do plan to return and I hope my next visit will be better.
