What an awesome place for outside dining !!! My friend & I decided to have lunch at this place after someone had recommended it to us & so glad we went ! My crabby grilled cheese with bacon could've used some extra seasoning as it was a bit bland but my friend's shrimp salad sandwich was tasty. Our watermelon crushes were delicious ! The location is outstanding. The outdoor space is a deck, then tables in the sand, then a pier out to the water. It is gorgeous. The food is not outstanding, but it's very solid. We had the shrimp toast and seafood nachos, both of which were good, but the ratio of toppings to bread/chips was way off. The steak salad, steak and cheese, and omelette were all good enough to get again. They also have a build your own Bloody Mary and mimosa bar for brunch which is very fun. Visited the RHD on about the best spring day you could find. The visit was a mighty success. Good food, great service, and a friendly atmosphere. Fish Tacos were delish. They have a really good happy hour on Mondays with half off burgers. The view on the outside is nice there may be a wait however. I say try the crab devil eggs. You can walk to the edge of the beach and get it. I've never sat inside, but outside is a great experience!! read more

I assume manager (older woman not dressed like a server) dropped off apps said she would bring plates. Didn't bring plates. Asked the server for ranch didn't bring ranch. Finished apps. They were ok. Bar food. Woulda loved some ranch for my WINGS.... Another 20 mins go by. Server takes our entrees. Ordered a crab sandwich, fish and chips and crab dip egg rolls. 35mins for entrees to come out. My favorite weekly spot. Great music, great food and amazing atmosphere. Want o sit on the beach while eating? Want good food and regular changing on-tap local brews? Dockside is the Rams Head location for you. If you go often enough you can pay for meals with the rewards program. My go to is the Cobb salad with shrimp. It's huge, chock full of good vegetables and some hard boiled eggs. The service is good and friendly. 7-27-25 This was my first time here so I didn't know what to expect. This place is off the beaten path but it has a chill vibe. They have indoor and outdoor seating. I chose to eat outdoors. They had the fans blowing to keep you cool and to ward off any unwanted insects. They also had a band outside which was pleasant to listen to while eating. Our server was . I ordered the seafood omelet which came with fried potatoes, toast & fruit. It was delicious . I'll definitely will be back to get that again. I ordered sweet tea but ummm, it didn't pass the vibe test The calamari was nice and crisp... Crab dip, ummm wasn't my favorite thing but it wasn't terrible. After I finished eating, I sat on the patio feeling the breeze from the water and just enjoying the atmosphere. I wanted to stay longer but decided against it because (1) it started raining and (2) I didn't want to take up too much of the servers time holding the table. I wanted to go to Rams Head after hearing they had an outdoor patio facing the water. It also had sand on the patio which gave it a beach feel. The place itself is not very modern, but it goes with the seaside theme. The staff was friendly and gave great recommendations. We had the seafood nachos, the calamari, crab dip and I ordered a quesadilla to go. The food was good, but nothing spectacular. Took a little drive today and ended up at Rams Head Dockside and let me tell you, it was absolutely worth the hour on the road. This place is a hidden gem right on the water! I had the fish and chips, and they did not disappoint. Crispy, golden perfection on the outside with flaky, flavorful fish on the inside exactly how it should be. Paired that with a piña colada that was chef's kiss smooth, icy, and just the right balance of sweet and strong. The outdoor seating is right on the beach with Adirondack chairs in the sand and a perfect view of the marina. Plus, they have fans blowing to keep you cool, which is a major win on a warm day. Our waitress was super friendly and checked in on us just the right amount attentive without being overbearing. That's a skill! So we decided to go here for my Birthday! One of us have been here before but this was my first time. We ordered the buffalo wings and crab dip for appetizers. The wings were good but needed to be cooked harder they were not crunch a little mushy. The crab dip had a good taste but essentially was mainly cream cheese no crab in the inside only a little on top a little cheese on top but the bread that it came with was good. We ordered the Nashville honey chicken sandwich, the BBQ bourbon burger and fish and chips. The sandwiches were good. We had added the Nashville with cheese it came without it so we had to add the cold piece of cheese to the already on the table sandwich and the cheese was an additional price.( no biggie if it was on the sandwich as requested) the main food was good. We had drinks Shirley temples , ginger ale, two margaritas , rum punch, peach sangria and the red sangria. All the drinks except the red sangria was good. So here is the issue. We asked to switch out the red sangria for something else our waitress was really nice she asked the manager but apparently Mellissa ( not sure how she spells it) said no changing and no returns we were offered some Pineapple juice but something was very off in the sangria so it was terrible we left it and paid for it but the customer service on that was trash. This is somewhere we possibly would had frequented often but due to the manager response it's a no for now. Customer service goes a long way. Again our server Ella was nice and the place is cute especially at night and outside but the sad thing is the Manager. Ella should be the manager as her customer service is 110x better than the manager on duty for the night. Hopefully that is not the manager Mellissa's regular take on things but I'm going with it is since that's what we experienced. They do have good specials during the week and happy hour. read more

Loved the water seating area! Very cozy and beautiful view. Food was a-okay, not life changing but decent. Service was okay- we did have to chase our waitress at the end to pay, but she had tables inside too, some of them big, so she was being pulled in different directions. I ordered the fancy margarita and it wasn't as good as I hoped, but wasn't bad. Overall, I'd say 3 stars for service and food, but bump up to 4 for the beach seating and a nice view. I heard some good things about this spot being off the water , and who doesn't like a waterfront location? I invited friends to join me at this place , and I'm sad to say that I was embarrassed to have invited them. The drinks were extremely watered down, their "crushes" taste more like watery juice with ice. And their " mule" was exactly the same , watered down tastelessness. The food was mediocre at best . I ordered half pound of steamed shrimp and wings. The shrimp were small and over cooked , zero flavor ... mushy potatoes and mushy onions. Not tasty . The Korean BBQ sauce on my wings tasted good but the wings themselves were dry and tough. Very disappointing. Our server did her best, I'm not sure if she just started working that evening or what. She didn't know anything about the menu or the restaurant. Anything we requested was an immediate no, this place is not accommodating at all. Wasn't for me. I can see why rams head is a popular place, their outside seating is beautiful with palm trees, sand and pic Nic tables to sit with your friends and family. However that's pretty much It to this establishment I went a couple of days ago with a group of friends and we ordered wings shrimp flatbread drinks and Cajun pasta. I ordered a hurricane and the crab flatbread pizza. The hurricane was okay and the flatbread came warm instead of fresh off the oven. I did like how the price of drinks was relatively cheap but you barely can taste the liquor that you ordered so It was basically spiked juice. I went here last night with my husband and our mentors for dinner. Coming into the parking lot, we saw how packed it was, but thankfully it wasn't super hard to find parking. I loved how the restaurant has a beautiful dockside in the back and you're able to see the scenery of the waters. They also had a live band if you wanted to sit and enjoy the music indoors. The only con is that I didn't realize they'll be sand, so it's best to wear closed toe shoes to prevent the sand from getting on your feet. The waitress was very friendly but didn't seem to know a lot about the drink menu when we asked her certain questions concerning the liquor used to make our drinks. I ordered the Berry Sangria which was a great drink and affordable. I ended up ordering a Cajun Pasta which was pretty good but needed a bit more salt and pepper, thankfully which was provided for us on the table. Came out for the first time on Friday night because we were given a gift card. The parking situation was rough, but after that it was smooth sailing! Overall good food, good drinks, and we watched a beautiful spring sunset over the creek in 70 degree weather with our toes in the sand. Having never been here before, my boyfriend pulled into the lot next door for Dukes by accident. There is a tall fence in between the parking lots for the two businesses so if you don't see the sign for Rams head before you pull in, it can get confusing. There are 'Dukes parking only signs' and a women leaving warned us they tow a lot, so we drove around the fence and figured it out. I see why it is an issue, because Rams Head was very busy and only continued to get busier. We were lucky to find a spot. There was no wait time for indoor seating and a 20 minute wait time quoted for outdoor seating at 6:30 pm. We elected to sit at the bar for a drink while we waited for a table outside. Bf got a copperhead on tap and really liked it. I could tell there was a generous pour in my cocktail , which was appreciated after a long week! Once we were seated outside, we ordered the crab dip, Nashville chicken sandwich, and shrimp salad sandwich. Crab dip was the clear winner of the 3. So good! Nashville chicken was small and the sauce was boring and not authentic- don't bother. My shrimp salad was spiced really well but the croissant it's served on fell apart after 2 bites. We saw the berry bread pudding special get served to our neighbors and had to try it. I hope they make it a regular dessert because the crunchy outside gooey inside texture was perfect with a berry bourbon sauce on top that I wanted to swim in. Our waitress was super nice, prompt, and had no problem with our gift card. I visited Ram's Head Dockside with a group of friends for drinks. The restaurant is in an interesting location as it's tucked away in a residential neighborhood. However, it is located right off the water. I used to work in downtown Annapolis some years ago and I used to frequent the Ram's Head Tavern for lunch. Basically, the menu at Ram's Head Dockside is pretty similar to that location with a few differences. I ended up getting the crabby tots and a peach sangria. Overall, everything was ok. The crabby tots were a little lacking in the crab meat department compared to what I remember from my previous visits to Ram's Head Tavern. The cool thing about this location is that it's located off the water and they have this beachy outdoor seating area. Unfortunately, on the day of our visit, it was pouring rain so we dined indoors. At best I'd consider this a great happy hour drink and appetizer place to soak in the beach vacation vibe, show off too visitors, but I would not waste time or money on a full dinner service. To start off we all got a round of drinks and the crab tots which were plenty to share, very rich but enjoyable however they didn't bring share plates for us so we had to go search those out on our own. Then we ordered a round of dinner. The steak we ordered medium came on well done, and we sent it back (something we never do). They offered a free cup of soup or salad when we waited and then gave a free drink instead since the individual didn't want either of those things. The rest of the entrees were okay but nothing dazzling. The fries were limp and lacked salt or flavor so throw some old bay on them. The steak finally came out a second time and still was more or less well done, very little pink in the dead center so maybe medium well, but overall very disappointing.
