Dinner at KOHO Korean BBQ House was a flavorful rollercoaster with a few plot twists. We kicked things off with Smoking Oolong mocktails, smoky, refreshing, and dramatic enough to deserve their own entrance music. The kimchi pancake came out crispy, savory, and disappeared faster than my self-control. The bibim naengmyun brought that icy, spicy, tangy cold-noodle magic, and the marinated boneless short ribs were the real headliner, tender, rich, and absolutely worth fighting over. Now for the twist: the food was giving VIP, but the service was giving "we forgot what table you were at." For the price point, I expected a little more attentiveness and a little less hide-and-seek. Overall: incredible food, fun vibes inside LIVE! Casino & Hotel Maryland, but service needs to level up to match the menu. I'd come back for the kimchi pancakes!

I'm glad I finally got a chance to visit and I was not disappointed! Everything was amazing and we were more than satisfied. There's the option to get the bbq option where the food is cooked in front of you or you can order food from the kitchen. My friend ordered the spicy pork belly, but because I don't eat pork I didn't want my food to be cooked on the same grill. The shrimp bbq was also pretty expensive, so that turned me off from getting it as well. I got the shrimp fried rice which was cooked in the kitchen. It came out pretty fast. It was topped with a fried egg, and man, I have no complaints! It was amazing. For my drink I ordered one of the mocktails. It was on the sweeter side and also very fruity. I'm upset I didn't come visit this restaurant sooner. My friend and I were so impressed with the food and the service. I will definitely be back.

Service was ok. They didn't refill our side dishes as often when it was empty. Food was delicious and flavorful from the kitchen. Our ribeye was well cooked by the waitress but sauces was not that compatible. Atmosphere was alright. It is next to casino so it's a bit on the pricier side.

Update: Koho still has the same beautiful standards as a year ago. Hwa Young is an amazing waitress! She was so sweet and we enjoyed her company! Koho is definitely worth it , don't let the price scare you. It's ALOT of food and the dishes are excellent and traditional. If you are looking for amazing service and food to match the same quality, I recommend Koho forsure!

Located inside the Live! Casino & Hotel Maryland, I will start off by saying finding parking and then locating the restaurant was a bit challenging. My wife and I do not frequent casinos so this was a different experience. When going through security, we didn't have to show ID after telling them we were eating at Koho. When we got there, the hostess greeted us and she was welcoming and nice. My first impression of the space was that it was modern, vibrant, spacious and pretty clean. Our waitress was kind and we definitely ordered a lot of food. Everything tasted pretty good. Our waitress cooked the BBQ for us, but there were moments where she didn't come back in time therefore our meat burned a little. I've been to places where the waitresses/waiters are super attentive and are always on top of it. I would recommend ordering whatever you're in the mood for. Me and my wife were sick and we asked for hot water, honey and lemon. She brought that out for us and it came out in a nice set. We also ordered some broth based dishes to soothe our throats. It was quite expensive but given the location, it was to be expected. Had an overall good experience and glad we came.

KOHO Korean BBQ was fantastic. We ordered the beef, brisket, and shrimp combo, everything was tender and full of flavour. The service was truly top-notch; we only had 30 minutes before an event, and they made sure we were served and finished right on time without feeling rushed. And I have to say, the espresso martinis were absolutely spot on. Highly recommend!

Came here with 2 other people late like 10ish and they were open and well staffed. The servers seem liked they just started, fun, fast and professional. All the food and drinks we had were delicious and the portion size is excellent. I enjoy the table side grilling and everything was cooked to perfection! I would definitely come back!

The entrance is a little difficult to see if you're coming in from Live Casino but otherwise, it's engraved in my memory because I will certainly be coming back! The purple drink pictured was a little sweet for my liking but tasty. Their cocktail lists includes many options from different spirits (vodka/gin/whiskey options) to different soju-infused cocktail options. They offer a nice variety of options on the protein front. We tried the kalbi and chadol (brisket). Both were delicious but the kalbi was better than the brisket. The wait staff is very attentive and friendly. They speak both English and Korean well, putting up with my boyfriend practicing his terrible korean. They're open pretty late so it's nice to have that as a late night kbbq option.

Koho is easily one of the top KBBQs. The quality of the meat and the service is outstanding! We went on a weeknight so it was not crowded and our server shared different ways to incorporate the sides and the meat.

    Koho grand combo (medium)
    Lina C.

My husband and I celebrated a special occasion and we ordered the medium grand combo. It was definitely more than enough (if not too much) for the two of us and everything was amazing! Our server was great and he kept us well paced and changed out the grill frequently. My favorite meat was surprisingly the top sirloin. The others were great too, but for some reason that stood out the most. The steamed egg was good but the soybean soup was on another level (compared to other kbbq places). Yes, the price is higher than most others in the area, but it's definitely worth a splurge for the quality and beautiful ambiance with decor flown in directly from Korea!

We made a last-minute decision to try for some of the nightly jazz (except Monday) at 18th & 21st on a Friday evening (Oct 2025), hip-ly named for the prohibition amendment and repeal :-) There's a free parking garage right across from the entrance of the building they share with a sister restaurant, Cured. We arrived in the bright seasonally-decorated welcoming lobby about 7:50pm. We ought to have made reservations, but in under 10min, the reception staff took us to the more intimate room towards the back where we were seated at at the bar, which is really what we wanted. When we arrived, the 6pm jazz band had just gone on break, so we felt free to chat with friendly regulars and with the bar staff. They have a changing list of ten craft beers from $6 to $21, plus one $6 non-alcoholic brew. Five of the $14-$35 per-glass vintage wines from their list of 17 are preserved with the "corovin" system that keeps air out, so they are never "corked". We focussed on their list of 11 crafted $13-$22 cocktails plus 5 non-alcoholic ones, all made with quality ingredients, each naming the staff member(s) (and guests) who formulated the recipe! We found Alex's $16 Fernetinez sublimely sweet: of bitter fernet amaro, Frederick-based locally-sourced award-winning McClintock One Last Time gin (exclusive for 18th&21st), smooth Luxardo liqueur, and a sweet vermouth. We loved the aroma and flavor of the classic Smoked Old Fashioned of bourbon from Kentucky's 10th-oldest distillery, Green River, moved to a mild well-rounded sweetness by brown sugar simple syrup, smoked in front of me by Mike (if i remember), with added richness from smoky bitters. They have a creative menu of $30 to $65 entrees, plus salads, small plates, apps, and sides, and they have a changing menu of small plates. We really hadn't planned on eating, but we couldn't resist. The $17 duck bao buns had thin tender filets with a sweet lightly-salty apricot-soy glaze and a tangy crunchy pickled cucumber slaw on a soft folded yeasted slightly-sweet white-flour bun. The $12 pair of fried fresh-tasting oysters were sweet and juicy with a light-flavored crunchy crust. They were so yummy, and easy to enjoy with our cocktails. Rodney Kelly's jazz band was excellent, playing with spirit, joking with each other and the audience, even staging a song or two with a skilled member of the restaurant staff. Afterwards we had brief moments with some of the band members, like an intimate jazz club. Later in the evening, i also had a Turkish Sunset, a Manhattan-variation created in a collaboration among the staff and a guest (Well-done Ozzie!). I love Elijah Craig, and wanted to try their dry toasted rye, with housemade allspice dram syrup, Small Hands grenadine, and bitters. By now, i felt very much at home with the staff, and when i learned that one of them had helped formulate this beverage, i confided that its amazing complexity was, for me, just a touch too dry. Alex (if i remember) considered the ingredients and the target flavors, and added just a touch of a sweet lemony liqueur, perfectly complimenting the recipe's flavors! Real-time crafting goes above and beyond, Thank you! (And when they next update the menu, maybe they'll have a custom option named for me :-)

This is Puerto Rican pitorro, also known as ron cañita, made with care and intention rather than gimmickry. Many local liquor stores now carry the brand, and it is well worth picking up a bottle, but visiting the distillery is an experience in itself. The founder is a fellow Puerto Rican born retired military member, a background I share, and like me, he has put down roots in Maryland. That story is reflected clearly in the brand's own framing, "Puerto Rican born, Maryland made." The space feels grounded and unpretentious, and that sensibility carries through to the hospitality. We arrived late on a Saturday and were still welcomed warmly, never rushed. We were taken care of by the founder's daughter, who was exceptionally kind, attentive, and knowledgeable. She guided us through a flight that included the traditional pitorro, almond, pineapple, coffee, coconut chai, and several seasonal offerings. The flavors were thoughtful and well balanced; even the infused expressions retained a clear rum backbone rather than drifting into novelty. We enjoyed them enough to leave with several bottles. This is artisanal pitorro done right, rooted in Puerto Rican tradition and confidently made in Maryland.
