My husband and I stopped here at lunch time for a quick bite and a drink. We sat at the bar where our bartender was a server in addition to her fixing drinks for the entire restaurant. She was definitely extended but she did her best to check in with us. She never stopped moving from the time we arrived to our departure. The chicken taquitos were okay as were our drinks. This Chevy's has to provide a warmer atmosphere as in the place is cold. You have the cold air coming in from the doors from the mall and then they keep the entry doors open, which feels like a wind tunnel if you're sitting anywhere in the bar area tables or booths when you mention it to anybody, they say well there's nothing they can do about it. Shut the front doors then the draft won't be coming in the restaurant from the mall and the front doors of the mall or you could put up plexiglass between the booze and the entry doors of the mall at winter time you absolutely freeze if you sit in the booth of this restaurant because people come in and out of the mall and it's cold outside it's winter it's snowing and you get that cold air coming in and you're trying to eat your dinner every time you're trying to eat your dinner. The cheese gets cold and your dinner gets cold. There's no reason you can't put a thin piece of plexiglass against that wire that you have there for decoration and entry of the mall and there's no reason you need to keep the entry doors open at all times providing a wind tunnel in that restaurant when you have the complete mall entrance on the other side people walking, they all know you're open and you even have your some of your people standing at the front desk they're wearing coats which makes no sense when you mention it to the manager, she tells you it's hot in the kitchen hot in the kitchen is not paying for the food that you're providing for the customers on the floor. It be common courtesy to make the comfortable atmosphere in this restaurant. Your food is great. You have the greatest servers there why don't you accommodate the customers with a warmer atmosphere when it comes to the temperature your restaurant it would be the only common sense thing to do when it comes to the wind tunnels that you got going on in that restaurant, you see people freezing in their eating and trying to accommodate eating their food fast so they can get out of there. There's no reason for that. You could put a little piece of plexiglass up there for your little decorations with the wire entry as people coming in the mall and you don't have to keep both your entry doors open at all times you have the greatest servers there you have the greatest food there why don't you try to accommodate the customers with a warmer atmosphere like temperature in the restaurant, we come there at least three times a week and we always have to bring our coats no matter what time of year it is because it's so cold in that restaurant and you all even know that the entry of the Mall causes cold weather in your restaurant so why don't you fix it? Plexiglass doesn't cost that much to put up on that wires as to where your Booths are and there's no reason you have to keep both our entry doors open at all times when you have all your tables at the other side of the mall where people can see that you're open I mean, you should at least accommodate the customers as far as the temperature of the restaurant once again great food, great queso Greek guacamole everything there you have is great to eat and Jefferson and all your other servers are fantastic servers. We don't live anywhere near there, but we'd like to come there at least three times a week for your great food. Please try to accommodate us with the temperature of your restaurant. Hello and welcome to Chevys Fresh Mex Arundel Mills. For an in mail restaurant there is a lot of offered space for seating and you are seen by a server almost immediately. I specifically went there for the infamous table side guacamole dish. I was disheartened to learn that it was no longer made table side but still available under that same name. I patiently waited for the dish to arrive and I was offered more chips and salsa in the interim. As the dish arrived it looked normal but definitely not freshly mashed avocado. I suspect the avocado mixture used is from the premade tub that pico de gallo was added to. This is drastically different from the table side guacamole made by a specific team member with the cart who makes it to order. The avocado was overly acidic which I don't not believe is achievable with fresh lime. I really hope they bring this dish back to the table or simply rename the dish to guacamole. The original real table side guacamole made by chevys was a solid 5 of 5 and made the overall experience more enjoyable for me as a customer. Overall I'll rate this experience 2.2 of 5 read more

It wasn't that crowded but we decided to seat in the bar area. The wait staff was a little slow but nice. We order margaritas which was more juice than anything. I have been here and other Chevys before but I was highly disappointed. I thought let's keep it easy and simple. So I order the shrimp and steak fajitas. The shrimp were small but cooked to perfection, also tasty. The big problem was the steak. Most places ask you the temp u want for your steak and if they don't it usually comes medium. I was not asked and maybe I should have said but I didn't. It came out like old leather. For real like it was soooo dry like it had been seating under a warmer for hours. Not a bit of moisture on it. So I ask the manager if they could bring me one med/med-rare. What I got was more just rare. I inquired again and the manager said I heard rare!?!?!? So I ate my shrimp tacos and took the steak home. This was a very mild salsa and I loved that. Steak and chicken nachos: pretty standard issue but very good. Crab and shrimp quesadilla this was actually better than I expected. Although there was very small shrimp the taste was exceptional and very moist. Paired with pico and sour cream was the killer combo. I used to work in the area and would come to HH every now and again (which I think they got rid of). The service is always quick. The margaritas are OK. The chips and salsa are free. The food is consistent. It's tex mex, and I think they do it well. Every single time I come, I get extra sweet corn tomalito. It means the world to me. I also always get the crispy chicken flautas. YUMMM. The drizzle and the pepper jelly it's served with go so perfectly together. You can add this as an item when you build a platter, and I always do that. Before the entrees arrived, you are greeted with complimentary chips and salsa. I can usually finish a bowl by myself while waiting. Onto the entrees. Everything is so good! Cheesy, delicious goodness, you can't go wrong here. The rice, beans and polenta are also very good. My rec is to order the 3 combo plate and choose chicken flautas for all of the entrees. This gets you 6 falutas with sides for an amazing value. This is essentially two meals so I usually share it or have left overs for another meal. The flautas are just soooo good! I can't help but say Mmmm every time I take a bite. The gooey texture, the crispy shell with a side of pepper jelly just hits the spot every time.
