Not mad at Rinconcito. I wanted to give a fourth star, but service fell a little short and house margarita wasn't great. I know not to expect a lot from house margs, but the bartender said it was pretty good. I stopped in during their HH and when asked for a HH menu was told they didn't have one. The bartender just had to tell me about some of the specials. At this point I was starving so I ordered the three street tacos. Chicken, steak, and chorizo. They were delicious. Fresh corn tortillas stuffed with well seasoned meat, with cilantro and onions. Yummy!! The spicy sauce on the side can be dangerous for some as it has some heat to it. We've been here multiple times since our 2019 visit, most recently being Monday 7/14. We get the same things: beef tacos and the vegetarian meal. The service was friendly, attentive, prompt, and profesh. There's never a wait, but there also is at least 4-5 tables full so it doesn't seem deserted. The ambiance is lively. The food is on point (fresh, ample, not greasy, and visually appealing). The service is excellent. They offer complimentary chips and salsa, which taste great and can certainly ruin your meal if you're not careful. Went to Rinconcito for lunch, and got the Mix Fajitas. While the place was not busy, the service was still exceptionally fast. Exceptionally good, too. The table salsa and chips were home made, and very good. I also got Choriqueso (Queso with sausage) very tasty! The food arrived hot, and properly cooked. Ingredients were quality as well. Tortillas looked home made and were nice and hot. Like most places, there is more food that the few tortillas would allow, so I did have to ask for more. The server was Oscar, who was friendly, but was not annoying and always asking how every things was. He would pass by and check his table out with out saying a word, and look for any signal if you needed him. Over-all, a very positive experience and a great lunch. read more

This restaurant is amazing whether you're donni and or getting the food to go I've ordered from here several times and each time the food is always hot and fresh. The staff is very nice and the options and price are very conducive to my budget. I always order the number 25 which includes rice and beans with a beef enchilada and a beef taco. I never have to break the bank in order to enjoy a great meal. You can tell the food is prepared with love and the flavors are very tasty as well as the portion size is very plentiful. I'm never disappointed and recently when I dined in, I was even more pleased because I was able to enjoy a cocktail and it was prepared just right. It wasn't too sweet nor was it too strong. Arrived for lunch and were promptly greeted and seated. The server came snd took drink orders while dropping off menus. Shortly chips and delicious home made red salsa were served. About 10 minutes later our entrees arrived hot snd fresh. Enchiladas with refried beans and rice were aptly constructed with authentic flavors. We were in the mood for some authentic Mexican food so we decided to try Rinconcito Mexicano! We arrived and were seared very quickly without any wait but it was definitely a well attended dinner as we had arrived just before the dinner time rush! It was obvious this place was quite popular as the ambiance was quite lovely! We were immediately served freshly baked tortilla chips and salsa...chips were nice and crisp and salsa fresh with nice seasoning. I decided to go for the beef chimichangas and my girlfriend went for the chicken tamales. Both were so good!!! And the portion sizes of the rice and beans were very generous. We took our leftovers home for another meal the next day. The service was amazing, too. Our waiter was very attentive and checked in on our meal often, but not too often. Wow I went there tonight to celebrate my daughter with her boyfriend. We order 1 pitcher of margaritas for the 3 of us, one drink each. Ordered a full dinner. A beer was ordered as we finished our drinks and were told couldn't be served because his face was red. WTF he works outside in 90 plus degrees we call that sunburn. I must admit this time around left me regretting going there. It wasn't anything major, but the food taste was just blah given the price points for all of their food. It is best to come here during lunch otherwise, unfortunately, I feel it is overpriced for the dinner menu. Also, be sure to check your check--at times, it doesn't match their menu pricing since they have yet to make the correct updates within their system (they have stated this since May 2023). Food is typical for the cuisine, nothing fancy or overly flavorful. Many people state it as our local Gringo Tex-Mex stop. They kept us afloat during COVID and we will always be appreciative for remaining open/feeding us/allowing us to do carryout MARGS! Happy Hour specials are from 3:00PM to 6:00PM every Monday through Thursday. Happy Hour includes a small list of drinks and appetizers. On Tuesdays they have Taco Tuesday (all day long) which you can get three tacos for $8.99 or single tacos for $2.99. Sadly, Taco Tuesday does not cater to the vegetarians or pescatarians. On Thursdays they host a live band starting at 6:00 PM so if you like quite dining, don't visit on Thursday nights! You've been warned so no complaints! read more

Service was ok at start and faded (2 patrons had to ask for water and the waiter took his sweet time). Now for the reason that caused me to leave a review. Menu prices are completely different than prices charged. Combo on menu lists for 11.99, receipt had them at 14.99. . Guac and queso say 4.50 and are 5.99. Clean interior with friendly staff. Was immediately acknowledged and seated at dinner time. Waiter came within 2 mins and provided great service throughout dinner. The chips and salsa were fresh but not my favorite, as the chips were very thick and the salsa watery. Not awful, just not worth the calories. Lol The traditional Margarita was good but the frozen strawberry was much too sweet and the strawberry mix had an artificial aftertaste. I don't recommend it but YES to the traditional. I was alone so tried the Sampler platter: chicken flauntas; chicken fajitas nachos; and beef quesadilla. The flauntas are cooked with a corn tortilla. Very flavorful but very crispy to the point of being over done. The chicken fajita nachos were EXCELLENT! Loaded with veggies, refried beans, chicken and melted cheese sauce! I'm convinced after deconstructing it, the chicken was okay but the refried beans & sauteed vegetables pushed the nachos over the top! Also delicious was the steak fajita quesadilla...talk about loaded with meat, veggies and cheese...you have to use a fork and knife bc it's impossible to pick up.The veggies were excellent again but this time the steak was tender, bold and flavorful. Definitely a dish I would order with excitement and it encourages me to order their other beef/steak dishes. Clearly it was impossible for me to eat the Sampler alone as it was designed for 4-6 people but I did my best and thoroughly enjoyed it. We were quickly seated and given some yummy chips and salsa. It went downhill from there . We waited for at least 15 minutes as several servers buzzed by and ever stopped or acknowledged us. We were soon out of chips and salsa and still no drinks! I waved the lady down that gave us the chips and asked for more and asked who are server was? A guy named Michael finally came and apologized saying he was busy... he took our drink orders and we had our granddaughters with us so we asked for cups with lids... of course he did bring regular glasses so we had to tell him again. This is probably the best Mexican restaurant I've had in Maryland. It's legit and not Americanized which is the type of Mexican food I prefer (with the exception of Taco Bell - ha ha). The service is great and the food is delicious. ORDER: Guacamole - We got the works with everything from onions, jalapeños, and tomatoes. It very very good. We ate it with the complimentary chips that came with the complimentary salsa. I also topped my taco with it because it was that good. Combo 22 - 1 Beef crunchy taco with cheese, 1 Beef Enchilada, and a Chile Relleno (which appeared to be a stuffed jalapeño). Not knowing what a Chile Relleno was, I am pleased I went with this combo. The Chile Relleno was a large jalapeño (at first I thought it was eggplant which explains the size) stuffed with oozing melted cheese. Imagine a jalapeño popper on steroids. It was very yummy. The Taco was to die for. The entree came with rice and I asked for a side of sour cream. Bisteak - You can't go wrong with bisteak. It came with veggies, avocado and tortillas. The steak was cooked perfectly smothered in tasty sauce. Flan - Flan is my go to whenever available on a menu. It was a mini cup size with a dab of whipped cream. Although it was small in size it was a perfect ending to the evening; just the right amount when your belly has reached its limit. Drink - I got a Rumchata which is one of my favorite adult drink. We definitely plan on coming back. I want to try a burrito and can't wait to get more guacamole. read more

My taco bowl was soggy and was basically mushed beans and lettuce. The enchiladas I had before were salty and also lacked flavor. The chips and salsa weren't even good to me. My little girl told me to never bring her back again because she hated her food. The folks here are nice and my margarita was decent, but other than that -- no ma'am. I've been here a few times with different groups of people, and everyone always says the food is sooo good when they take their first bite. I wish there were more a la carte options, but I still will keep coming back. The enchiladas are great and have a very generous serving of meat inside of them. I recently stopped in with a coworker looking for a small lunch. We didn't see a lunch menu but decided to split a taco dish. We ordered a seafood taco with mahi mahi, shrimp, and scallops. It was so good and the seafood was cooked very well! It came with two tacos, but they were absolutely enormous and probably could have been split into two.
