A hop, skip, jump away from array of options, Anne Arundel Seafood muscles its way against competitors in and around the area. You can dine in and/or take out. Options of everything steamed, broiled, and fried are abundant in their menu, but note subject to availability. Daily offers of fresh fish, shellfish, and local produce with fresh homeade salads and desserts! There is ample parking. Inquire about their party platters for catering too. Check their daily specials, local fishermen's catch, and all season availability.

Huge and delicious portions. Hometown ambiance. Friendly neighborhood service. Highly recommended.

Amazing, Food was great and so was service, We didn't even have to pay! The menu had so many options and it was hard to pick because everything looks so good! Crab cakes were amazing and the drink options were huge. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Came here to pick crabs for lunch on a Sunday. Certainly a no frills place in terms of ambiance, which is exactly what I want when I am elbow deep in old bay and melted butter. They've got 2 counters- one where you get shrimp raw or steamed to order in a variety of sizes, beer, oysters, etc. and the other around the corner is where you order crabs. We ordered a dozen large males ($90 in July '23) and half a pound of shrimp as an appetizer. It took about 30-40 min for the crabs to come out but well worth the wait because they were awesome. The first couple crabs were so hot we had to wait a minute after opening the shell to continue. I appreciated that they supply you with a sturdy plastic knife in addition to the classic mallets to help open your crabs. Condiments (horseradish, cocktail sauce, extra old bay) are on the side table if you need it. They have a couple tvs in the seating area, which were set to the O's game so I was in orange colored paradise.

If you walked in blind, you honestly wouldn't even guess they specialize in seafood -- that's how clean and fresh the environment felt. Major points for that alone. Now let's get into the food. I started with the cream of crab soup. The portion was solid and there were huge chunks of crab throughout, which I definitely appreciated. However, the base itself just wasn't to my liking. The crab was there, but the flavor profile didn't quite hit for me. For my entrée, I ordered the oyster platter with two sides -- regular fries and coleslaw -- and added a shrimp basket because when you're at a seafood spot, you might as well go all in. The meal definitely satisfied my hunger, but if I'm being honest, it tasted more boxed and frozen than freshly battered. That homemade, crispy, just-dropped-in-the-fryer feel wasn't quite there. On the bright side, the fries were good -- hot, crisp, and dependable. The coleslaw was exactly how I like it: balanced, not too sweet, not too heavy on the mayo. Where they truly shine is customer service. The staff was accommodating, friendly, and very helpful throughout the visit. Service can make or break a dining experience, and they definitely delivered on that front. Overall, while this visit didn't completely wow me food-wise, the cleanliness and service alone are enough for me to give them another shot. I'll be back to try something different and will happily update my review. Stay tuned.

Our friends started off their lunch with a cup of Cream of Crab soup, which thy enjoyed. For their lunches, they chose the Crab Toast, which was an open-faced sub roll topped with imperial sauce, lump crab, and cheddar jack cheese and a Shrimp Salad on multigrain bread with Cole slaw. They also ordered an order of Sweet Potato Fries with melted butter and cinnamon sugar on the side. This was such an interesting combination, which he really likes. My husband and I decided to try the Shrimp Salad with no bread. He had his with tomato and onion rings and I had mine with lettuce, tomato and Sweet Potato Fries. The shrimp salad was a generous portion that was perfectly seasoned. They serve their drinks in small pitchers. To finish, we had the Lemon Cheesecake and Aunt Louise dessert which was a Smith Island Cake that was beyond decadent - it was a chocolate peanut butter cake. We all thoroughly enjoyed our lunches.

But honestly, we thought it became too expensive over the years (maybe I'm just getting old). With that said, I sat at the bar (service was excellent), and ordered the 16 ounce prime rib, $55, with a Caesar salad and sweet potato, and mozzarella cheese sticks to start (~$10). I ordered a tea to drink, but requested a beer (~$8)with the steak. Total bill was ~$80. The prime rib was ordered and delivered medium rare, and was by far one of the best steaks I've had in probably three years. It honestly could've been cut with just the fork, no knife required, and was well seasoned. The sweet potato mash was well seasoned, without being over seasoned. And the Caesar salad was super crisp, and I happen to like creamy Caesar dressing. The mozzarella cheese sticks look like they're hand dipped (not sure) and very good. And delivered with extra marinara per request. The bartender even remembered to pour the Sam's seasonal beer (winter something, it was not the typical winter lager which i like as well) when the steak was delivered. I did not have to ask. That was really nice. Also, I did not have to ask for a refill on the tea, it just magically appeared. Plus, the appetizer, the salad, and the steak, we're all delivered at the right timing intervals. I did not feel rushed, nor do I have to wait. So, was it expensive? Maybe a little bit. But the service made up for it, and that's all the difference.

We were seated immediately once we checked in. The brunch buffet was on its last leg ( we arrived at 12:30) so we opted to just order off the regular menu. The menu has a lot of great choices. We started with the rockfish tenders and the brodkin egg rolls, both were delicious. I was especially fond of the rockfish tenders, they were seasoned and fried perfectly. I ordered a side salad, it was huge. I ended up boxing because I would not have been able to try my main dish if I had eaten that salad. For our main entrees we went with the Shrimp Scampi and the Blackend Chicken Alfredo. The Alfredo was just the way I like it, creamy not oily (oily does not reheat well). My mother said the scampi could use some cheese. The portions sizes were on point and the prices are very reasonable. The only issue I had was with our service. There was a big confusion on who was supposed to be waiting on the table. Once that was settled it just took forever for the server to comeback. I had to get up a few times to get my own stuff; plates and silverware. It was busy so I'm going to give the service the benefit of the doubt. I made reservations to try the brunch buffet later so we'll see if there is any difference on a non holiday. Rumor Reel is a huge place with plenty of space for large parties. They have an outside deck/patio that overlooks the creek. Plenty of seating outside. There is a stage so I assume they have live entertainment. The parking lot is a gravel pit, it is big but it almost doesn't seem big enough for the amount of people that come here. Great place. Checkout and form your own opinion .

It was a solid spread of savory and sweet breakfast classics, including several types of eggs, old-school staples like cream chip beef and sausage gravy, as well as a waffle bar with all the fixins. There is plenty of fruit and granola for making a parfait. While none of us partook, there was also a Bloody Mary bar, so one can make up any sort of crazy combo. There are also mimosas to order.
