This "restaurant" in the BWI Marriott was awesome for a hotel bar/restaurant. The service was just a bit slow, but if you factor in ordering delivery or venturing out to another place for dinner, you're probably still saving some time. I ate here a few times and had some of the best wings I ever had. They were fresh and crispy, and had this Old Bay Honey sauce which was quite amazing. The wings stayed crispy the entire time too. I would have loved to try the buffalo too just because the wings themselves were so good. The Creamy Crab Soup was also wonderful. A bowl was $13 but it was a good size, piping hot, and loaded with chunks of crab! So good... and something I wanted to be crabby! The Crab Cake was great too. It wasn't lump crab (nor did it claim to be), but the exterior was crispy and the inside was moist and delicious. It was even better with the orange sauce (color, not flavor) that was brought out after. It might be the onion ring sauce, but the waitress wasn't sure. It needed it! I wanted to go to the bar a few times, but during the week, it was kinda packed without an open seat. Bummer! I'll guess it's a popular place with guests. read more

I was pleasantly surprised by how good the food was. The she-crab soup and crab cake sandwich were both outstanding, and the Reuben was also very good. The only drawback was the slow service. However, the staff members were very friendly and apologized for the delay. I would definitely return--just not when I'm in a rush. read more

As a guest of the Hilton hotel next door and a disastrous experience at their restaurant the night before, this was a delightful surprise. Wonderful service, excellent cocktails. The ribeye was cooked perfectly and the sides were delicious. My wife rockfish was excellent. Despite being a hotel restaurant, this was a steakhouse level experience. It was enough to convince me that it might be time to switch my commitment to Hilton over to Marriott. read more

Hate the never ending music choice at the bar /restaurant. It's washed over techno-club-style garbage. Bartender/ servers are attentive and easy going. They deserve a raise for listening to the music choices made by their higher ups! Food is meh - pepperoni pizza at $22 is ok price for quantity but not for low quality. Hey, Mr. Marriott,,can we get some toppings not in paper? It's sad. Marriott....do better. Guests played their sports over phones loudly at the bar, making for an already awful audible experience worse. Atmosphere would be alright if not for the terrible music. Not sure how they have more than 3 stars. 3 is being generous. Nicer than normal hotel restaurant bar but slow service and inconsistency on if you get what you ordered. Simple Caesar salad and I never been served one you had to put your own dressing on. Normal salad yes. But Caesar is known for coming with dressing and shaken. Everything else I had is just ok. This a restaurant within the Marriott airport hotel. Our flights were cancelled due to weather snd we ended up booking a night at the hotel. We were tired and didn't want walk somewhere else. My expectations were low. We ordered fried chicken legs plain, gyozu, and crab cakes. Well our party of 4 was shocked snd overjoyed at the food and the staff. Ev everything was cooked to perfection and tasted fantastic. From the waiter Winston to the chef Gigi to the bartender Monique they made an otherwise listless evening into a very pleasant evening. Service was absolutely amazing! Huge crowd, but server was quick and friendly! Helpful in determining what to have. She sold me on the crab cake sandwich, which did not disappoint! The bun was toasted on the inside with a perfect crab cake! It was so full of crab (not fillers) that it fell apart when I cut in half! The tarter sauce was delicious! I came here on Valentine's Day. I couldn't believe they were able to accommodate me. The food took alittle bit longer to come out than I expected, but it was worth it. The steak was juicy. It was paired with carrots. On a normal day this wouldn't be my vegetable of choice. I would have preferred my carrots a little softer. The fries were well seasoned. It's a Marriott hotel bar. So you can always expect the high standards Marriott has. It's next to the airport so you have a consistent flow of folks who just got off a plane or will be on a plane. I'm a Marriott fan, I stay at their hotels all over the world. If I am going to stay in a hotel near the airport, it will be a Marriott hotel. With over 20 years of traveling, you'll want to stay at a Marriott hotel if you are near an airport. The drinks were fantastic and the pepperoni pizza didn't disappoint. With all the times I've had to fly out of BWI.. stay at the Marriott. If you've got any complaints, just know that they would be worse at the other properties near BWI. read more

This comment is about the bar alone as I did not eat any food. I am staying at the Marriott for an early morning flight and wanted just a drink at the bar the waitstaff are quite nice and courteous, but there are too few staff for the amount of people at the bar and the restaurant. This is a comment for the management of the hotel that you cannot ask three people to be able to manage well over 20 people at the bar and restaurant plus takeout orders and to do it efficiently and effectively. read more

One and only restaurant at the Marriott bwi. We had a delayed flight and stay here for one night. Friendly staff and the food was excellent. A must try honey old bay seasoning chickens wings. We had the 14 oz ribeye. Grilled perfectly medium rare. You can't ask for more . The crab cake was ok I'm sure you can find better in the city . First things first, I don't like giving bad reviews but just wanted to share with anyone that may venture here for dinner. I ordered the crab sandwich with vegetables. Unfortunately both were a big disappointment. First the crab wasn't lump it was like shredded and reminded me of crab from a can, yeah that bad. It Didn't have any flavor even with the aioli that I had smothered on it to try and give it a flavor boost. Second thing to mention was the steamed green beans. Really good crab corn soup, tasted like clam chowder but with crab meat. Crab cake was very tasty except the center which was undercooked, but the edges were perfect. The composition & tastes were both excellent, lots of big chunks of meat, but the cook didn't cook the center through, still a bit runny. Also had short ribs, which tastes like Korean style that I like but it was too hard to chew. Overall the recipe seems excellent, near perfect I'd say, but whoever made my meal, the cooking skill still has some room for improvement IMHO. read more

This place is the worst. It's inside the Marriott near BWI. They say they are open and we go in and all staff sees us and says nothing, even though it says "wait to be seated" and was over an hour before published closing time. There were plenty of people at tables. Finally I get someone to acknowledge we are standing there and they say "we aren't serving any food or drinks because we only have one cook". What!!? They are still open and are obviously serving people. Then security asks them what's up and they say, "it's an hour wait" which by that time they would be closed. They had a bartender and at least 2 servers and other staff. What kind of BS is that? It's poor management, the Marriott poor attitude, and the incompetency of of the staff there. Thank God we are staying at a different hotel other than Marriott. read more

So far the cream of crab soup is excellent. Walked over from another hotel after reading some reviews on Yelp. Very few eating, but there must be a private function in the back because there's one lady carrying on and laughing very much out loud (!) like she's at a damn comedy club! A little loud (very) and a little annoying, but the crab cakes just came, so have to finish dinner! Well, the crab cakes were delicious, loaded with lump crab meat and grilled lightly brown. Instead of the potato, got the grilled vegetables, and they are very good as well. A mix of asparagus, green beans and cherry tomatoes. I have eaten at several hotel restaurant over the years. You never know what you're going to get and it's always smart to correctly set your expectations. Chesapeake did not disappoint. The food was excellent. I purposefully ordered my steak medium rare as most hotel restaurants cook food until well done. My steak came cooked to medium rare perfection. I also opted for the adding a crab cake to my entree which was also delicious. On top of the great food experience. The service is second to none. Don was my server and he was absolutely awesome. This restaurant is located inside the Full Service Marriott Hotel, towards the back of the lobby. At lunchtime, they offer a good buffet with a decent selection of hot food, salad and some deserts. They also offer a Caesar salad bar, with shrimp, chicken and steak, all cooked hot, while you wait that is quite tasty! read more

We had dinner there last night, and it was really good. I had the crab cakes and the crab soup. The crab soup was a bit pasty, but lots of great crab meat in it. The crab cakes rivaled the best I have ever had - huge chunks of lump crab meat, and very little filling. Superb! I tru to eat crab in every meal when I am in Maryland, and this was the best I got.
