A Lunch date for 1. I purposely sought out this restaurant after seeing excellent reviews on social media. Street parking is available. This is a carry out Lobster shop so I ordered the lobster girl cheese which came with seasoned fries and I purchased a can soda. I ate inside the restaurant which has a very very limited wall seating. My food took less than 10 mins to come out. While I waited the owner came out and was very personable with her story of the business and how she opened during Covid. The lobster grilled cheese was excellent and cheesy. I requested a cup of iced for my canned soda however, they did not have any cups or iced maker~ bummer. Wednesday 3/26/25 I came across this spot through Yelp and was quite intrigued after seeing different items like the various lobster roll flavors and the lobster Mac n cheese. I made a call to get information regarding the menu because the bread pudding and lobster Mac n cheese weren't popping up on the website to order. The lady told me that the lobster Mac is only on certain days and that the bread pudding was out of stock, along with all other desserts. After gaining clarification from the call, I ordered on the website and the East New York lunch $20 and the 8 pc wings: honey lemon pepper ranch (with BK sauce on side) $13. The service over the phone and during pickup was good. - The East New York lunch was the classic warm butter lobster roll paired with chips. Those warm lobster rolls are always good. This one wasn't the best I've had, but it was good. My mom also got it and she enjoyed it. - The honey lemon pepper ranch wings were solid, but the "honey" and "ranch" features were non-existent, it's just lemon pepper wings. - The BK sauce is their house sauce and it was cool, reminded me of a creamy ranch sauce. The BK sauce wasn't needed for the lobster roll, but it helped elevate the wings experience. Severely over-rated and over priced. We ordered on the phone 30 minutes before arrival, and still waited 25 minutes to pick up the order. I would probably get it a 3-star IF the foods were freshly made and we spent that 20 minutes waiting for the foods to he prepared. The 2 lobster rolls we had were cold and dry. I came here for Baltimore Restaurant Week earlier today and got the East New York lobster roll for lunch. It was amazing! I love lobster and I like my seafood on the saltier side, so this was perfect for me. The slight crisp of the bun really enhanced the texture of the lobster chunks, and the amount of butter on the bun was just right. I'll be back to try other items on the menu! A hidden jem. We enjoyed really tasty NY lobster rolls. The giant one had more tasty meat than my wife could finish. Well worth the price. She told us about the family business and offered suggestions based on their most popular items. After much consideration, I ordered the the East New York, fried haddock sandwich, and clam chowder. Everything looked promising, but the chowder was ONLY thing I enjoyed. The fried haddock was so overcooked and dry that the fish had shriveled away from the batter leaving an air pocket; if you've ever had overcooked fried seafood you know exactly what im talking about. The lobster was equally (but somehow more egregiously) overcooked. It was chewy, tough, and so salty it was inedible. I might try again but the first impression wasn't a good one. I was excited to try some lobster rolls again since my go-to spot is no longer available and it had been a minute. I saw BK Lobster advertised on Instagram and instantly knew I had to go try some lobster rolls. I was surprised at how many of my friends had no clue about them. They are currently having an extended soft opening to get a feel for the neighborhood and really hone in on their menu. I'm appreciative of how open the owners were to reviews. I pride myself on keeping all of my reviews honest and I was able to sit down with the owner and chef to speak about what I liked and wasn't a fan of. I ordered the Crown Heights, East New York, and fries. I was surprised how salty the ENY was and found myself eating more bread to compensate. When I mentioned it, they discussed their marinade pieces to each other and I have so much respect for that accountability. I've always loved the idea of deep fried lobster and was hoping the Crown Heights would satisfied my curiosity. The flavor on the CH was good however the lobster was a little dry. I'm guessing it was cooked prior to battering and then deep fried. I missed the juicy interior that comes with deep fried seafood and if it was there, it would have been excellent. I read a prior reviewers post about the fries and decided to get those as well. Mine weren't very crispy and I'm not too sure if it was me not knowing to ask for them to be crispy or if they were just greasy. I put them in the air fryer and crisped them right up myself though. They did have the buttery soft rolls down and that's a must for lobster roll. I'm excited to see their full menu and I'm hoping some fresh jalapeno will be an option add on. My housemate and I decided to try BK Lobster after work. He ordered the Baltimore Classic with lobster mac n' cheese and I ordered the Crown Heights with fries. We were greeted by a wonderful woman (I wish I had gotten her name). She talked us through the various menu options and gave some recommendations. They have a self-order and payment set-up on a large screen which made ordering very easy. However I could it becoming an issue on busy days. They did have what looked like another ordering tablet off to the side. The wait for our orders was 10 minutes at the most. The sandwiches were the perfect size, in my opinion, and well-priced. The breading on the Crown Heights was very light. The BK sauce was perfectly spiced, a little kick but not too much. The bread was buttery soft and nicely toasted on the outside. The fries were perfectly seasoned and fresh, though I wish they had been crispier. The mac n' cheese was very cheesy and had a decent portion of lobster mixed in. I have been trying to get to this restaurant for two weeks now but I finally got a chance to go at the perfect time before afternoon- evening rush hour. So the challenge was begun to locate and conquer this challenge. I found the store front on Eastern Avenue a block north of Patterson Park and miles away from New York or Brooklyn. Although there is a Brooklyn in Baltimore, the real one is at least 350 miles and $50 dollars in easy pass fees away, so this BK in Baltimore is already a win. So I went into the establishment and found the environment very clean and quiet with soft music playing. In the area I did see a man who was dressed in Kitchen chef gear, I later found was the fine chef and co partner for this establishment and the cashier. She greeted me very nicely and asked me what I would like to order. She did a fine job at describing the different rolls and the contents that they had. They also had wings as well. I ask what would be the choice for a neophyte such as me. She then listed the three most common rolls. I was confused because the names of the rolls all came from various locations in the Big Apple. Such as Crown Heights, Flatbush, Coney Island. I said wow. I don't have a subway token either. She then provided a more definitive description of what the rolls were. She also said the Chef favorite is the Crown Heights roll. I herd a voice behind me said that that was the Chefs best. I said ok I will go with that. After ordering and paying for the roll, I had time to have a very delightful and informative talk with Chef Shabazz. We talked about the food industry, his back ground in the restaurant industry, his hopes for this establishment and other future plans for the restaurant. After twenty five minutes and a great talk with the chef, it was time to do some taste tasting. I have had lobster rolls before from no name places but this is by far the best I have ever had. The lobster was fried and had some bk sauce on top with a fresh brioche roll toasted to perfection. The lobster was very tender soft not over cooked at all. It was still hot and had steam coming from the container. This dish was Golden Brown and delicious. After this I think I want to go to Coney Island.
