Orange crush - A yellow-colored beverage with ice in a clear plastic cup, accompanied by a red straw and a yellow straw, on a teal table at an outdoor dining area.

We came on a busy Saturday night with a large group of 10. We wanted a quick dinner before heading out in Fed Hill and found this place. There was a good amount of seating outdoors for our large party - they have blue picnic tables on top of a section with fake sand, very cute and beachy. The food was, at best, average. Most of it was overpriced, not particularly tasty, and sometimes cooked incorrectly. We got a variety of drinks as well - the orange crush seemed decent and not too expensive. Also, if you ask for a burger well done, be ready to receive a burnt one instead (see picture below). The crab dip was also ok - not terrible, not the best. I don't have too many stellar things to say - I think there's something for everyone on this menu, if you're willing to pay a little extra to receive subpar food.

Riptide is a solid casual option for seafood with boiled crabs, crab cakes, shrimp and the like that won't break the bank. There's 4 tables on the front sidewalk which can be good for getting some sun and people watching. On the downside it's tougher to get staffs attention when you need a fork. Crab cake sandwich was solid. Mostly picked crab meat, as it should be, with a something akin to a spicy mayo in the binder. Fierce competition in Baltimore for crab cakes means means there's better specimens elsewhere in town, but it's probably better than you can get out of town. Ultimately to tide is a decent spot for a casual lunch.

We traveled down for a family event and then decided to visit the area to explore and grab bite. We ended up at this place and was a great choice. Service was good and so was the food ND drinks. I'm not a big blue crab person as it's so much work for little meat but this place was cool.

Location really outweighs the quality of the food when it comes to Riptide. As the name suggests, it's by the water and that's a HUGE draw in fells. If you snag a table during a cool, sunny day, then you're in for a treat! Especially on a hot day (or really any day), you have to order one of the crushes (alcoholic slushy goodness). We didn't go at a busy time so service was probably at its best and I'm very grateful for that but I could see this restaurant quickly becoming overwhelmed. When it comes to the food, the most consistent quality here is salt! Both the crab pretzel and the wings were really delicious but also fell on the salty side, almost to the point that they became difficult to eat. Overall, I really enjoyed my time here but with some great restaurants around the Fells area, Riptide needs to boost their food to compete!

Beach themed college dive bar. I had to double check when I was writing my review due to the bar looking so different at night. This spot had cool neon and fluorescent lighting. I went on a Sunday night and was surprised there was a DJ until close, but the music was great. Drinks were very watered down , so I would suggest ordering beer or a canned beverage. If you're looking for a sophisticated bar this is not it. I would probably recommend this for 21-26 year olds or anyone young at heart lol My tab had an extra shot I did not order, but I was too tired to complain. Last thing to note is that there was an automatic gratuity of 20% even though I was only 1 person.

Get the crab pretzel!! It was good good mhmm ... The cocktails were pretty good.

Get the crab pretzel!! It was good good mhmm ... We also had the Housemade Linguini Pasta and honestly it was nothing worth writing home to. The cocktails were pretty good tho and they had some live music playing too, music wasn't my type but the music bought a good vibe. It was a nice Sunday so we sat outside, not bad for an early Sunday chill & relaxing evening.

We came with big expectations to the IatBO due to favorable review on TA. It is well located and…read morethe staff really go out of their way to accommodate you. The rooms (at least ours) was HUGE, probably almost 1000 sqft, with a large BR, LR, kitchenette, and bath, There are problems, however. The highly touted geothermal heating, really didn't work that well, with blowing cold air, and the hot water never was that hot or plentiful. The fancy net-based house phone didn't work either, nor did the coffee maker. Although located on a quiet street, it is opposite a construction site that it quite noisy, and the street does get a surprising amount of traffic. The staff, though helpful, are a bit too "laid back" for my taste, just seem like some "slouchers" hanging around the front desk more than service professionals. For my money, I'll stay next time at a big chain and leave the autoclaved gypsum walls, hypoallergenic concrete floors, organically grown linens, and geothermal heating for someone else to enjoy.

Omg it's like wow I just ate but all of a sudden I'm hungry :)..our room was spacious and very cozy. They have a nice size jacuzzi in the bathroom area and they also give you a complimentary bottle of wine. Be sure to ask for it as we did when we checked in. The only reason i can't give this hotel 5 stars is because i could not get with the fact that they didn't have a microwave in the room. They had a frig but that was it. Maybe it's just me but if i had to stay there more than one night i would have preferred to have one. The organic very very healthy breakfast was super delicious. I enjoyed every bite.. also kudos to the comfortable bed. Overall it was a great stay :) And definitely nicer for couples..

It's on the site of one of the Carroll mansions and close to the flag house. Lots of history to consume. There is also lodging on site. And a courtyard for weddings right off S Front St. This is where the ceremony was held. The catering venue consists of four floors. Elevators are available for those needing it. The cocktail hour was held on the second floor under the City Lights. Dinner on the fourth. Wall murals all about Baltimore! Easy access via elevator or stairs. The food and beverage business at 1840's Plaza is exclusive to Rouge Catering of Hunt Valley. Exceptional team of professionals and food! Many shy away from evenings in town. Most of the time I can't blame them. But 1840's Plaza is well worth considering if you're planning a family or business event. Even if the fire alarm mysteriously goes off!

The transition was smooth! The ballrooms are spacious, vaulted ceilings, nice drapery but a bit outdated for my taste. I'm sure that's the theme of the place but I think even if vintage or retro is the theme/look, they could still use a facelift. It's wheelchair accessible! The courtyard is also love and spacious. Huge dance floors. 4 stars instead of 5 because of the food. It was bland, dry and bare served room temperature. For dinner we had dry stuffed chicken with some sort of flavorless sauce, green beans that were sautéed lightly, also flavorless and truffle mashed potatoes with caramelized onions. A rather bland seafood creole dish was on the menu as well. I took one bite and couldn't finish. They were absolute my delicious! I had two servings to make up for the rest of the food. We also had a seafood creole dish that tasted like canned tomato soup with with frozen shrimp and scallops. Others enjoyed. ‍

** 5 Year Review Update **…read more Fells Point continues to be great for the most part. Quality restaurants and boutiques, gorge water views, some of the coolest folks you'd ever meet. Some establishments have left, some have joined. The crowds stay heavy. Sadly lately, the crime has increased making it sometimes difficult to enjoy. Parking is gawd awful, but worth the hustle. I pray this area improves as Baltimore City deserves this.

Historic waterfront neighborhood [Baltimore MD]…read more Did some research while looking for places to visit in Baltimore and bookmarked this neighborhood. Fell's Point is located along the north shore of the Baltimore Harbor and just less than 10 miles from our hotel... we made our way here on MLK Day. Surprisingly, not all the businesses were closed on a holiday. We arrived around 10:30a and found parking. There are a few options for parking including metered parking and convenient lots and garages. We found an open spot on Thames Street. Fell's Point is beautiful as it was once a bustling shipbuilding port. We walked the snowy sidewalks and enjoyed the views of the wharf. Fell's Point is a historic waterfront and one of the oldest neighborhoods in Baltimore. It has served as the home to jazz singer Billie Holiday and abolitionist Frederick Douglass. I loved the cobblestone streets with many waterfront restaurants and bars and the local cute boutiques shops. We had brunch at Barcocina and did some window shopping at the cozy shops. We also shared a pastry purchased from Pitango Bakery Cafe located right there at the waterfront. Review #3664
