Cool restaurant in Towson. I visited this spot after googling "brunch near me". It did not disappoint. The restaurant is bigger than I looks from the outside. There are three different areas. A dining area, a bar area and an additional bar area with a stage and dance floor. When I entered I was immediately greeted by the bar staff and sat at the bar. The menu was decent and offered tropical brunch foods. I opted for the chicken and waffles brown sugar waffles. The chicken came out as tenders which where cooked perfectly and tasted great. The waffle was amazing. The staff was attentive and very helpful. I had "The Son of Nutcracker"drink which was ok. They have a Jameson club, which I joined. It allows you to purchase a bottle of Jameson to keep at the bar for $75 after a $50 club membership fee. I enjoyed this place and will definitely be back. The only potential issue may be parking. I was able to get a spot on the street but can imagine finding a good spot on busy days might be a daunting task. read more

The bartender on the left side of The Point is consistently terrible. He didn't greet us, ignored us for nearly 10 minutes at an almost empty bar, and then told us he couldn't make half the drinks on the menu. When he finally did, the cocktails were easily the worst we've ever had -- completely undrinkable. This isn't a one-off; it's the third time he's served us, and every time the service and drinks have been awful. He seemed out of it -- distracted, unprofessional, maybe even under the influence. To top it off, he served my drink in a dirty glass. When I asked for a replacement, he just poured the same disgusting drink into another cup instead of remaking it. I had to insist he start over. It's such a shame because the bartenders on the other side of The Point are excellent -- friendly, attentive, and professional. This one bartender, however, drags down the entire experience and the bar's reputation. I won't be coming back. read more

Came to this establishment on a Sunday for their bottomless mimosa brunch with my family. When we walked in, it took about 1 to 3 minutes for anybody to approach us. The person who did approach us was not the friendliest and informed us that there were no small tables, and that there was an event going on and that we could not have brunch at the restaurant. We left, and as we were looking for a new restaurant to go to a woman walked out of the restaurant and came up to us and told us that we could come and have brunch at the restaurant and allowed us to join in their Christmas themed event that they had going on. Do not come here for food. It is not often I waste time writing a review for 1 star places but this "restaurant" should be just a bar and only serve 1&1s like jack n coke or gin and tonic. Things your staff will have a hard time messing up. Just a suggestion for your "busy"ness. Excellent service, good food, nice atmosphere for adults and kids, too! We came in on a snowy Sunday, and were immediately shown to a table in the "breezeway" type of area with really cool murals and an industrial vibe. It was our second visit, but first in a long time, since we have moved out of the area. We enjoyed talking about the murals (our son said Poe was creeping him out and staring at him), and the artwork that filled the space nicely. The food was brought out very promptly, and was very tasty. We had a great experience overall. read more

We recently stopped here for a weekend lunch and were happily surprised they were serving brunch. Unfortunately our initial joy was soon replaced with melancholy as we waited eons for our food to arrive. We joked that maybe they didn't have a kitchen. Unfortunately they did have a kitchen. The food was visually appealing but rank in flavor. I can only assume the chef learned their culinary skills at one of the less esteemed hospital cafeterias. On the plus side we didn't have to hold in the food long. Upon returning home ,their vile attempts at food left all of our bodies through multiple orifices. All in all I give them 3 stars. I was very disappointed in my recent experience. I went for brunch. My bloody mary was so watered down it didn't even taste like a bloody mary. I ordered a side Caesar salad. So irritating to make a reservation here. I made one for 4 and wanted to change to 5 and they "couldn't" because they "didn't have space." What a joke. We showed up and there were three empty tables that remained empty next to us during the duration of our visit. I had asked over the phone while making the reservation if we could just pull up an extra chair. "Absolutely not because they wouldn't be able to provide us good service. Okay.. so we came for my birthday brunch. I wanted to try something new and give this place a chance. Mistake. The only good thing was the drink I had. The food was crap LOL my friends' meals literally looked like a high school cafeteria meal like literal dog food. They were really upset. On top of that there was a large and extremely annoying and loud party of about 15 girls in the same room as us. They kept screaming and halfway through our time here, I watched an employee take a chair and give them the ability to add to their table but I had to tell my friend she couldn't come because they couldn't accommodate even one more person at our table (even though there was space). Ive been for brunch a few times and each time it was pretty good. Service isnt always the quickest but the drinks are strong so I appreciate the extra time to sober up lol. I know they still do bottomless but after one or two im done so ive never taken part. Food wise i also have no complaint. I typically stick to the brunch options but everything ive put in my mouth here is good. Nice quiet setting. They have 2 sides and 2 bars to enjoy yourself. One side with bigger bar has more dining room sitting. Other side has smaller bar with smaller dining area that can be arranged to fit a large group if needed. Started with a nice portion sized Caesar salad. Entree was the steak frites. Steak was cooked to the perfect medium well temp. Parmesan truffle fries were pretty good. The house made steak sauce had a nice tangy taste to it but it went well with the steak. Noah is a rock star. He gave the point an extra star just because of him. Noah worked his butt off al night and still was extremely helpful and attentive. He tried hard to make the right choice and I should have listened. The steak frites were not very good. The fries that it was on were soggy and had a weird taste. Noah told me to try the burger. I added breakfast potatoes and had my eggs to be scrambled with the egg whites only. The food was very good. The waffles are not the traditional large size, but it was more than enough for me. I appreciated the non-traditional size because I am lowering my carbs. I'd like to highlight the orange juice. I was disappointed that they put ice in the juice; that's super weird to me. Who wants to deal with watered down orange juice. But friend...I took a sip and realized that this was not Tropicana. Lol. This was fresh fresh fresh orange juice. The quality was so good, I didnt complain about the juice being on ice. It is to your benefit to order the orange juice. The overall experience was okay. I would have given three stars, but towards the end my friend began choking. Someone from the kitchen heard him and ran from the kitchen to our table. He came to his side and was ready to perform the Heimlich. My friend stopped choking before the Heimlich was needed, but my heart was overwhelmed by his genuine concern for a stranger. Very interesting combo as I've never seen that before. They were accommodating however with providing us with a wine glass after asking. I also had the chowder which was good. So my sister and I decided to check out the point for happy hour since we love the one downtown so much. Parking wasn't ideal but that's not the restaurants fault of course. We parked and walked about a block which wasn't terrible, it was just cold. Finding the restaurant was a little difficult but once we got close, the signage was great. We walked in and we're greeted fairly quickly. The bartender brought us menus and was very nice. Thankfully the place wasn't crowded because the bartender was our server as well. The happy hour menu had plenty of options which was great because we ordered them all to try. The specials for drinks were pretty good too. They had 2 for 1 drinks and their rail options weren't awful. I also liked that they had multiple options for all different types of alcohol. My drink wasn't that great. I ordered a Jameson with seltzer water and lime juice. I said a little seltzer and they brought me a cup full which was quite disgusting. I think If it was ginger ale, it would have been fine, but it was way too much seltzer. My sister was able to get hers down but said it was nothing to write home about. The food starting arriving and it was all correct. It was nice and hot and looked pretty tasty. None of it was nasty per se but it wasn't great. I have only been to the Point bar hopping never for a sit down meal. They were offering restaurant week (not sure if the things from restaurant week are on their regular menu!) and the food sounded delicious so we went! The service was pretty slow, we had to flag down the waiter in order to have him to refill our waters and even ask where our food was because it seemed that other tables were receiving our food before us. Taste wise- we ordered the lobster bisque but it was very bland, no flavor and to be honest, tasted like carrot soup.For the other apps we got the tempura brocolli and the buffalo chicken arancini which actually was pretty good! The arancini was something new I haven't tried and it was like a fried rice ball with chicken inside smothered in buffalo sauce. The spicy ness from the buffalo sauce wasn't over powering and the chicken to rice ratio was good. The tempura broccoli was pretty good, sweet and good crisp. For the entrée, the steak, I felt wasn't even seasoned and I asked for medium rare and it was well over cooked. We also got a seafood pasta (I don't remember the name and I don't see it on their restaurant week menu anymore) which was delicious, the sauce was very good, good creaminess too it and not too salty and not too sweet. There was seafood and it paired nicely with the dish. If the same restaurant menu came out I would do the Buffalo chicken arancini or tempura broccoli with the seafood pasta. read more

My husband and I have been multiple times to this location and can say that they have continuously improved each and every time. The first couple visits over the last couple years were tough as they were opening and getting their menu put together, establishing their front, and working to make Towson love them instead of Fells Point essentially. The first couple times we went over the past couple years were two MAYBE three star experiences with overly-over priced food/beverages. With the most recent of visits, we've had nothing but positive experiences and couldn't complain about the food/beverages available and change of selection off and on. The cost still generally stayed the same but everything leading up to the final bill made the experience better. We've sat in all areas of the restaurant, including the back patio area, and haven't been upset about any location they have to offer. FOOD! - We ordered a bacon plate for the two of us which is literally what it sounds like. A plate of bacon. They have at least three different types of artisan bacons with at least three to four slices of each. Yum! Husband ordered the breakfast bowl and had no complaints. The bowl was full of all sorts of goodies and apparently was fantastic. I really try to order new items anywhere I go and I ordered the Steak Salad which of course had steak on it with slow roasted tomato, bleu cheese (YUM!), pickled shallots, and champagne vinaigrette. Absolutely delicious. The portions were great for the price. If I would have received my order and there was a little sliver of steak on it, I would have been very disappointed. I visited this location yesterday and I'll take that ride to fells point! Service was blah! We came for a bday celebration and the waiter was a trip! One it was freezing in there! This was my second time visiting but first time for the others! So they had a few questions! The waiter act as if we was bothering her! One person was requiring about the "salt life dish" they were wondering was it's really "Salty as the name" or salt life for fish lol crazy but I think it's a legitimate question lol The waiter going to say "VERY SALTY " they asked how was the "gangster cheesesteak ?!" Waiter response "very gangster " didn't like her sarcastic response to everything! The food came out pipping hot I can say that! We then noticed the waiter turn down the lights and caught up the air!! She definitely signal a lot that our presence wasn't no longer WELCOME! The final straw! We all asked for the check, one last guest came ordered and then came over asked to put a card on hold. My friend was confused inquiring about closing as too why she need to put a card on hold. The waiter responded "So you don't forget to pay me girl " like really?! If she JUST ordered food! Why would she leave?! Grant I know things like happen but...It was just her whole demeanor! I came to The Point for a friend's birthday brunch on a Sunday around noon. We were seated when we had enough people. We were given two tables based on having a large party and members of our party pushed the tables together. The first thing our waitress says to us when she comes over is chastising us for putting the tables together... I get that we weren't supposed to but that sets a really bad impression when you have 15-18 people who are going to be ordering lots of food and drinks (but I guess when gratuity is included then what's it to ya...) My next big qualm with this brunch is everything took SO. FREAKING. LONG. We arrived at noon and we didn't even place our food orders until 12:40 with food arriving around 1:20. Ridiculous. I get that we were a big party but we had reservations well in advance so plan staffing accordingly. I get that this isn't necessarily our waitresses fault but damn it took forever. It was almost 2:15 before our check arrived and we found out we couldn't split checks. This wouldn't have been as annoying if we hadn't been twiddling our thumbs for 30 minutes already waiting for our waitress to bring us the check. Overall, the food was ok but definitely not worth the timing and service issues. Luckily included gratuity was only 15% or I would have said something.This experience is disappointing because the space is decorated really beautifully. This is my 2nd visit to this establishment and I'm glad I came back... I think. My 1st visit was to weeks ago and very disappointing. I came here because I had a Groupon it was unable to be seated and accommodated once I got there, I was informed by the manager on duty that my Groupon was only good for a certain day. Although my groupon did not say it, they insisted that that's the policy. I showed management my Groupon w terms listed missing the information stated but there was still no accommodations made, not even 5 to 10% off my meal that day. I was livid, my husband and I got up and left. I must say that the decor was quite intriguing as well as the open space concept used in the dining area as well as the bar area and the front greeter at the podium was so sweet and kind. 2 weeks later, I got my courage up to call and schedule my reservation. My reservation was for 2:15 p.m. I arrived at 2:10 p.m. I wasn't seated until 2:40 p.m.. We sat down for at least 7 minutes before being acknowledged by the waitress (Rebekah) who was standing still talking to her colleagues a few feet from us. She did eventually walk by and say she'll be back with us. By that time my husband have flagged down another waitress (Erica) who was able to assist us quickly w a smile and take our orders. Soon after Rebekah came back to pick up. This put a really bad taste in my mouth because we're giving this place a 2nd try and immediate service isn't a priority. Next, the drinks... So it was Bottomless Mimosas, Sangria, Screwdrivers and Beers. The Sangria was ok, kind of tart. The Mimosa was terrible and tasted like Ginger Ale and Seltzer Water. The Screwdriver was the true MVP! And on to the food... my husband ordered Steak and Eggs and I ordered Chicken Waffles. My Chicken and Waffles did not have good plating or plate appeal. They came out looking burned but they weren't. I think it's whatever they put on it to make it the dish that it is that darkens the skin of the chicken. It was ok, safe tasting. Kind of bland. The waffle was delicious. My husband's Steak and Eggs were delicious! His steak was so tender that you could cut it with a fork it was plentiful it very appealing so the eye. My husband really likes this place so it looks like we may return, I'm looking forward to have a 100% good visit here! And I mean from the very beginning to the very end. Although we had a great waiter and the food presentation was beautifully created, the quality of the food was poor. Not sure what happened here, but all of the dishes were overly salty with the exception of the Cinnamon Roll and PB&J Empanadas. The only good thing about the restaurant week were the bottomless drinks. I may return just to see if it was a bad day for the restaurant, and hope it isn't salty next time. This place is great. They have great options for brunch and lunch. They also have great drink selections and the servers are really nice and attentive. It's not too expensive but the food is very fresh. The open kitchen is really great to hear and see because you know everything that's happening and you know how confident they are with the food. The bar area in the smaller dining room is nice but there's also another room where they play trivia and open it for the night time crowd. Although parking may be limited, it's well worth the walk across the street or around the corner to get to this place. We love going there. read more

Sad to say I will not be going here for my brunch the food wasn't anything to brag about. Parking is a nightmare, service was meh, and they gave me and my friend 2 days old potatoes warmed up. Ew! They were not just visibly old but dry and hard to taste. We tried to explain it to the waitress she just said she would tell the chef but we were paying good money for our food and drinks and wanted to be accommodated accordingly. THE POINT IS NOT ON POINT! This was my first time at this establishment and it will be the only time. Why? Well...the food was not prepared well. My friend and I ordered a classic breakfast. The eggs were cold, the potatoes way over cooked, the waffle was as hard as a hockey puck and the bacon - which I requested to be extra crispy was extra greasy. I was returning home to DC and had stomach issues the entire trip...many pit stops which delayed my arrival by almost 2 hrs! As far as the ambiance: Horrible acoustics! We started with the crab  dip which had a fair amount of crab with veggies & soft pretzel  bites to dip (rating 8). Flavor was good, but it needed more CRAB  , of course! Donell had the Mac n cheese  topped with a jumbo lump crab cake (9). This is how crab cakes should look !! I had to get a taste of that crab cake y'all! It was GOOD! I had the NY strip with Caesar salad & veggies (7). The steak needed more flavor but the Caesar was yummy  ! Alyse had the chicken tacos  which she really liked but says they were too messy (8). The food is great and original and the drinks are yummy and the atmosphere is pretty cool, but the service ruined this place for me. It seems like the owner wants to do it all himself - he bartends and waits all the tables. He has no personality and does not check in on the tables except for maybe once every 45 minutes. We tried to order a second round of drinks and asked other staff to get our waiter because we had no idea where he went and he never came. Eventually I had to go up to the girl bringing out food and ask for our check. Still had to wait 15 minutes for that. There were only 3 tables seated in their whole dining room so they weren't busy. We've been here twice and same thing happened both times, so sadly we won't be back. Service has really gone down hill everywhere since Covid, makes you not even want to dine out anymore! Some might argue the owner is the only one waiting tables because no one wants to work these days but he had at least 3 hostesses/food runners/ bus boys standing around doing nothing. The steak came out and I cut the end portion and noticed it was a little too rare, I cut into the middle section and it was completely rare, almost blue in temperature. I told the person who helped bringing out the food about the temp and she insisted it was medium rare. It was not. She immediately came with a plate to take a steak that I already cut and touched back to the grill! She said they don't take things off the bill, which initially I wasn't even asking for...after her condescending attitude and willingness to take a steak I already touched back to the grill, I asked for the manager. The manager came and I explained the situation to him, and told him about her wanting to take a steak back to the grill after I touched it and he said "the grill is hot enough and it will kill the germs." It also appeared the kitchen had charred the lettuce, whether accidentally or to conceal the old age of the lettuce, I could only guess. The mac and cheese was the most bland I had ever eaten. The pit beef sandwich contained, not pit beef, but dried-out brisket. I also got sick shortly after leaving. I had eaten here once before about a year ago, and that experience was good, but this experience ranks among my worst ever. read more
