Great deals and good crowd, best bar in Towson by a long shot, definitely did not disappoint for the dive bar vibe!

Nate recommended the steak and stout pie, it was amazing. The fish and chips were flavorful and perfectly cooked. Shepherd's pie was so yummy. The prices are very reasonable. It honestly feels like you've been transported to a pub in Ireland (minus the handful of loud college kids). I'm a big fan of the decor and the fireplace that they frequently light throughout the colder months. Noelle is my favorite bartender here (Hey, Noelle!) and she could make you anything your heart desires. I'll admit, I've never once had the food here but the drinks are always on point and the service is fast and friendly. They have a free parking lot in the back for customers which is super convenient in this area. They also have some outdoor seating in the back too which is a new addition since Covid times. I'm not a huge fan of Towson or Towson bars in general (at least not anymore) but if I'm around, Kent House is the only place to be in my opinion. Cheers!

She knows us and knew that we were here for the Monday Night Half Price Burger Night. My husband had his favorite, a blue cheese burger cooked medium rare with French fries and ranch dressing on the side for his fries. I was not super hungry, so I had a salad. The salad was just perfect - loaded with fresh greens, carrots, cucumbers, and grape tomatoes with blue cheese dressing. I took half of it home it was so large. Bouncer at the door checking i.d.'s (saw him turn a couple girls down for having fakes). They serve a larger than standard size bar menu and we tried out several different items as well as cocktails and some craft draft beers. A Blue Hawaiin or Old Fashioned Whiskey cocktail is priced at 9 dollars each, but are served in full size pint glasses! I had a Rec Room Club Sandwich with sweet potato fries (see my pic) and my wife had a grilled Reuben and waffle fries. Both of them were insanely huge! Absolutely do not order an appetizer if you're going to get a sandwich or a burger. I literally could only eat half of my club sandwich and fries and I am generally a big eater. My club sandwich with s.p. fries was 12 bucks and it was a great value. It also tasted great and was made fresh with what seemed like Boar's Head meats, or something of that quality. I was very, very impressed and also quite surprised. It's a bar, so it's not the cleanest place in the world (see their bathrooms), but it's got surprisingly good food. I had a Troeg's IPA and 1 other craft pint (I forget which one) and they were 8 bucks each. I would definitely return here for the same reason...to eat and pre-game a bit before a show next door at The Recher. Note: there's no street parking here, but there's tons of paid parking lots behind here. It's like 5 bucks to park there for 8 hours at night.

Cozy neighborhood dive bar…read more My brother frequents Brannan so we went to check it out while I was visiting the area recently. My brother said he likes it because it's unpretentious and the regulars who frequent the bar are usually locals. He said it's always a good time as the people are cool and the drinks are fantastic. We actually stopped in for a midday cocktail on a Sunday afternoon. There were a few people there but not too many due to the time of day. We sat at the bar and an older gentleman took our order. My brother knew him so they chit chatted for awhile about the comings and goings of other locals. The bar is no frills for sure but I still found it warm and inviting. It had a certain charm to it that I can't really put my finger on. There are pool tables in the rear the bar and an electronic juke box. We played a couple rounds of pool while jamming to some tunes which was a lot of fun. I can't recall the name of the drinks I ordered but they were really good. They were fruity cocktails that the older gentleman mixed. He didn't skip on the alcohol either. We ordered 5 drinks total and the bill was just under $30. My brother told me that some people in the neighborhood look down on Brannan's because it's a dive bar but I had a great time. I didn't find anything wrong with it whatsoever. All the other patrons were really nice as was the bartender. The atmosphere was cozy and chill. I'd definitely visit again during a future trip.

It's a mix of old school dive bar and upscale cocktail bar. Like, you can get a Boh here, but you can also get a $16 craft cocktail that will rival anything you can buy at more classic cocktail lounge or speakeasy. It is small, so you will be forced to get to know your neighbors at the bar. They will undoubtedly be cool, though, because this place attracts a fun crowd. The only downside, really, is that it is so dark inside I can never read the menu, which is written in colored marker on the mirror behind the bar.

I did go on a Monday night, but the bartender was extremely off putting, and just gave off really negative energy but the service itself wasn't horrible. She just was kind of mean. That's said the cocktails here are stupidly good. The old-fashioned here used to be $10 but now it's $14 but it's still so excellent and worth it. It rivals cocktails of really good places and unexpected for this divey place. There is no food, but they do have chips that they sell that are clothpinned along the door and the plantain chips were really delicious. The lighting is really really low towards the back end of the bar, but to the front where they have the TV there's always something interesting. This is a must visit for anyone that is local or visiting, and hopefully the staff is friendlier this time.
