One of the very best bars in Baltimore, and a must if you're looking for the best dive bars in the city. It's as welcoming as it is grungey. The bartenders are fabulous. Try the house shot "evel," you both will and won't regret it.

This is a fantastic dive bar. Pool table , check. Darts, check. Juke box (electronic), check Old-school vibe , check. Go to this bar if you want to have a good time, listening to metal, playing darts and drinking beer.

If I was to to add a photo to the Webster dictionary definition of "Dive Bar", it would show a picture of the 3 best bartenders a patron could ask for. Sophia, Brian, and Anna are some of the most personable bartenders you could meet. The house special "#1" which includes a natty boh and a shot of the house shot of "evel" is as good of a deal as you can find in the area. They have a wide variety of canned and bottled beer/ciders. Regulars are super fun and welcoming! Don't be afraid to play some pool while you're here, great competition and the usual players are super welcoming! Sophia in particular is a princess that deserves the utmost respect and the the largest tip allowed by law. Don't forget to tell sophia you'd like to here her spiel and the bar rules!

Mum's clearly a neighborhood dive bar. No food served but one can drink to their hearts content. The bar is "well loved" ... nothing new but a piece of Baltimore History located in the Federal Hill area. Who would have thunk it, but the only pool table in Fed Hill is located here. Great bartenders and cool locals. I hear the sraw crowds late evenings and weekends. Will visit again.

A barfly's bar A flavor all its own A damn good haunt Mums is more Schlitz than glitz, and authenticity is what will keep this place afloat in a residential area that maybe is arm's-length-OK with this bar, but might also be mildly uneasy with it. We walked in and the locals looked up from their beers and butts, assessed us, and, presumably deciding we were OK, went back to watching the movie that was midway through (2011's Carnage, of all flicks). Cool. We grabbed some beers and moved back to the billiards and darts, just as we'd wanted to. Would love to have seen an act play the back area of the bar near the fireplace, but we weren't so lucky this night. Before we knew it, an hour had passed and one of our crew who'd been in before recommended we do a round of the locally-made Lithuanian honey liqueur - similar to a Polish Krupnik. Good call. The stuff had such a full mouthfeel, fine heat, exceptional flavor, and general balanced charm to it that everything added up perfectly. We stayed around a while longer...got some more beers, shot some more darts, got to know some of the fellas up front at the bar, got some more honey liqueur, shot some more pool, and left fulfilled, happy, and pleasantly buzzed. Mums is one to add to your list.

Cool divey bar! Not too crowded, had the office playing on tv and a pool table. Bartenders were friendly and chill. Will be coming back!

Great dive bar. Darts and pool and cheap drinks. Just avoid a guy named RJ, huge a hole.

One of my favorite bars in the area. Laid back, good music, nice bartenders, and not full of preppy broski's. You can't go wrong here!

The dinner option was generous with 2 delicious crabby mounds, and two sides which I did not want, but I was able to sub out others. Nice! The old fashioned wasn't much to look at, but man o man... it was actually pretty good and a reasonable price. I had a couple as I'm not one to pass up cheap drinks. Service was spectacular too with our waiter joking around with us and taking good care of us while we dined after a conference. If you're in Baltimore and near the convention center (or the Orioles Park), this place is worth a stop if you're in a crab cake mood and don't want to venture to the Inner Harbor for something a little more upscale.

We stopped by around 5 PM on a Saturday before an Orioles game, so as expected, the place was extremely busy and had a lively pregame atmosphere. The beers were good, but unfortunately, the food is what brought my rating down to three stars. The fries tasted a little stale, and I ordered the smash burger (forgot to grab a picture), which was pretty average. I've definitely had much better smash burgers elsewhere. We also tried the chicken fingers, which were very basic and reminded me of typical ballpark food, not bad, but nothing memorable or something I'd crave again. Overall, Pratt Street Ale House is a solid spot for drinks and the pregame atmosphere, especially if you're heading to an Orioles game. However, based on the food we tried, I probably wouldn't come back specifically to eat. I'd recommend it more as a pregame drinks spot than a dining destination.

We order the turkey club, hush puppies, cream of crab soup, the charcuterie board, fries, and fried oysters to share. The turkey club was the star of the show. It had nice layers of avocado, the chicken was cooked well, and the bacon added a nice touch. For drinks we stuck to the margaritas and they were perfect! I would say you can skip the fries, the seasoning was great the batch of fries we had seemed like they might not have been fresh. The rest of the menu was so good I would still say you could skip the fries and order a double serving of hush puppies.

We immediately asked the hostess for a different table. She told as that the three booths and the six other two-tops were all reserved. She left us with no attempt at an apology and promptly put reserved signs on all the open tables. When we left an hour later, one booth and 4 two-tops had never been used. Much to our dismay, we saw people seated outside even though we had received a text before arriving saying the patio was closed for the evening. To add insult to injury, even half empty, the noise level was so uncomfortable since everything was tile, marble, or wood that the alarm sensor on my smart watch sounded because of the decibel level. We will not be back.
