The Blarney Stone is an amazing local bar Pool table. Jukebox. Good selection on the bar. don't come here for something fancy. Great local place to check out if you're interested in just having a good drink and chilling with friends. Usually not too crowded so you can chat with your friends. Our bartender, Chris, was really nice and accommodating. Alcohol is cheap here. A shot of tequila was only $6. They don't serve food, but you can bring your own. They have a pool table towards the back. Only thing I don't like is the swinging doors, but I guess that's just the ambience and adds to the vibe. read more

The thing I miss the most about Baltimore (my home for 3 years), aside from my best friend, is my home away from home, The Blarney Stone. This is my Cheers. I love the cheap drinks, I love the awesome and friendly bartenders, I love the actual wood of the bar. Everything in there is to make you feel comfortable and at home. If I had one complaint (and it's not really their fault) is it can get PACKED with the "WHOOO! OMG, Heather, Tiffany, Chad and Brad" crowd on the weekends and they really go against the laid-back local feel that I love so much about it. But, as those people pay for drinks just the same as I do, I can't begrudge my bartenders their paycheck. My suggestion is to go early on a Sunday and let the crowd grow around you. If you like a nice, small Irish style pub, this is your destination. If you like loud, bleach blonde tangerines with legs, the Green Turtle is right down the block. read more

I absolutely LOVE Irish pubs. I've spent many a-nights, and days in them, enjoying Guinness and the good people. Heck, I'm even half Irish, I'm meant to be in them! However, I was disappointed with the lack of patrons in Blarney's. The bartender also wasn't really engaged with us, even though we were two of only eight people in the bar. Which is fine, that's not the m.o. of every pub. He did point in the direction of Bertha's when we inquired about a good locale seafood joint. We left here really uninspired, it was just alright. Hence why maybe the lack of customers here on a saturday night. read more

This Pub is basic and sub par with a very limited selection of drinks. The staff I experienced (Greg) was rude and limited in his knowledge of drinks other than what's on tap. The Manager, Christopher Ignowski (Iggy) is lackluster and inefficient when addressing problems with his staff. This is a true dive bar that has no sense of loyalty to it frequent customers. I will NEVER patron this establishment again nor will I refer anyone here for future reference. read more

The Blarney Stone is a cramped, unappealing dive bar with high-end prices. Compared to bars like Kooper's, Max's Taphouse or The Waterfront this place has absolutely nothing to offer. That would be ok with me if it was cheap, but it's not. I'd never go here again when there are many more appealing places to hang out in Fells Point. read more

Dangerous and Seedy While I have to say the general setup of this pub is your generic hole-in-the-wall bar, I directly witnessed an incident last night that will definitely stick with me forever. My 2 friends and I (1 female, 1 male) walked in Blarney Stone one night after midnight. We sat down and had a beer each (prices are about average for the area...nothing fancy). While there, one of the guys in the back was making gestures at my female friend in an effort to flirt with her. His friend walked up to her and said something to the effect of "my friend thinks you are cute... blah blah blah". She wasn't interested, so she said thanks, but didn't go over to him. About 5 minutes later, out of nowhere, the guy walks up to my male friend who was standing at our table and proceeds to punch him, aiming dead for his face but missing and hitting the side of his ear, drawing blood and leaving a large bruise. My friend had not said a word to this guy or engaged him in any way during our time there. This was a full on attack that came out of the clear blue sky. What made this incident particularly scary was that all the wait staff, bartenders, and bouncers all came to this guys defense, threw us out, and at first refused to let us go back in to get our stuff so we could leave. After a minute, I was allowed back in to retrieve our stuff and quickly left. They were all laughing at us and treating us, simply for being involved in it. They all rushed to his defense. Everyone there was pretty "goth punk" looking in general (which is fine, just noting the atmosphere), and I know from how they were talking about him that they were heavily affiliated with the guy who attacked us. They were all friends with him, as he works in the area as a bouncer himself. I have lived in Baltimore for 10 years and NEVER witnessed anything remotely close to what happened there. I normally wouldn't blame the actual establishment for a random bar fight like that, but the way we were treated during and after the altercation not only made me not want to return (obviously), but it made me question the general level of safety in the pub itself. Who would allow someone like that back into their pub to stay there after slugging a guy out of nowhere? Why was this acceptable behavior, simply because the guy was friends with the wait staff? We could have been anyone out that night, and I was very thankful my male friend was out with us, because anyone that crazy could have very well attack myself or my female friend and likely cause permanent damage. I will never return here, and I plan to make everyone I know aware of what took place that night. It's not only unacceptable behavior for obvious reasons, but it's dangerous and irresponsible. It makes me sad that we now feel like we must carry protect with us at all times while in the Fell's Point area and that our sense of security was violated. read more

I'm a regular of the blarney stone and it is a great bar if your looking for good prices, a great bar tending staff and the best jukebox in fells point. It's a melting pot of different crowds and always enjoyable. 4 big tv's and always accommodating to the sports lover. read more
