The caterer would arrive at 1:00 pm and the family and guest would arrive at 2:15 pm to 2:30pm and we would wrap up at 4:30 pm and be out by 5:00pm. I spoke with Demitira and she was delightful; she assured me that she we would have the tables and linen we needed. It was absolutely beautiful! What I was not told is the following. The person onsite, I believe her name was Pat approach my caterer and my DJ not me the point of contact and told them to shut everything down at 4:00 pm. I understand that the last hour was the cleanup. I don't understand why we could not listen to music for 30 minutes why we cleaned up. When I approached her, her response was, "Per the contract everyone must leave other than those that are part of the cleanup, and the music must be shut off." I made an announcement to 130 guests about the above-mentioned statement from the person onsite, that they must leave... Please understand that was a 130-guests last experience with Diamondz. We don't have to leave but you have to get out of here!!! 130 people will not return to your event space!

It's more intimate so the space isn't as open but it's nice. It has the vibe of a club or lounge, which would be great for younger and non traditional banquet hall people. Great for birthday parties, baby showers, retirement party, pretty much any party. I would not recommend for a wedding reception unless the guest list is small. This is only because the space is smaller. There are two floors. The bottom floor looks like where food is usually served and the upstairs is the bar and dance floor. I don't think this setup could work for a large wedding reception since the meal is usually served to everyone together and the downstairs space would not be big enough for everyone to dine together. I also noticed how this place allows outside catering. Not sure if they cater themselves but this is nice and may be an inexpensive option for those looking for a venue to rent where they may want to bring their own food. I would love to throw a party here in the future.

I arrived to the venue safely ... lol and realized my concerns were unnecessary. The venue has security at the door and $10 valet service. (Yesssss $10 for valet ... unheard of in Philadelphia) walking into the venue I was pleasantly surprised, the venue size is more of an intimate space and it's GORGEOUS. The decor is very modern (leather furniture, spectacular chandeliers, gorgeous flower arrangements and a beautiful bar area) The staff (the owners, doorman, valet, bartenders and cleaning crew) were all extremely accommodating, they went above and beyond to ensure the party was a phenomenal success.

The small kitchen in the back also helps when bringing in food and Kelly (owner) will assist with food set-up and will also provide sterno cups for a small fee. Kelly was also very accommodating for the use of our music and other audio visual equipment. The hall is very spacious and allows enough room for dancing or games or other activities in the middle of the hall between the tables. We also appreciated the use of a large cooler for ice and separate table for soft drinks. Set up was pretty close to what I would have done in my own home, but with much easier clean-up. She also had access to a gentleman to assist with clean-up and a bartender. We took advantage of the help from both and it made serving and shut-down that much easier. All in all, our guests enjoyed themselves immensely and the team that planned the party was able to get all that they needed to make my niece very happy with her surprise birthday party. During my one hour…read moreceremony on 11/25/23 David did the following; -Told our photographer how to do her job (unsolicited) -Made comments to a 16 year old girl that left her in tears -Began arguing with my father in law, calling him a "coward" at one point -Did his best to make sure we were not in the venue for a single minute longer than booked. 61 minutes is unacceptable, 60 is ok -Acted confrontation with me (the groom) when discussing this -Left my now wife feeling incredibly uncomfortable with both his comments about her and ways in which he touched her -Spoke rudely to my wife's grandfather, and immediately warmed up to him upon learning he was the pastor Last but not least: -Commented, "are THOSE (emphasized) people with you?" towards my wife's black family. As a human being and fellow business owner, I couldn't be more disgusted with the shameful way he conducted himself.

I shouldn't have been worried, though, as Chase Court was the first (and the last) venue we checked. Chase Court is very accepting and accommodating to ALL. It's a big enough event space but since it was SO HOT that day, the lack of shade in the square made too many people try to squeeze into the air conditioned rooms of the event center. All in all, a decent place for a festival - lots of space (indoor and outdoor), lots of seating, clean bathrooms. I just hope the day of the festival is cooler next year!

At the top of the hill, you are greeted by a medieval castle. The Cloisters sits on 60 secluded acres. You will be amazed by the beauty of this castle with its delicately carved wood, exquisitely detailed stained glass, and ornately designed wrought iron. It was the home of Sumner and Dudrea Parker. They designed the castle to highlight their extensive collection of medieval artwork and artifacts. It was built in 1929 and took 3 years to complete. It was truly a lovely setting for the wedding. The wedding was held outside in an enclosed courtyard. After the ceremony, we all went back into the castle where several rooms were set for cocktails and hors d'oeuvres. They then took down all the chairs and reset the courtyard for a sit down dinner. Everything was just perfect. What a lovely way for the new bride and groom to start their new life journey together!

The downside of this is that the temperature control isn't always ideal. We got lucky with the weather during our event, but the days leading up to it were very cold inside and I can imagine temp issues if it were hot outside too. The place is huge but very compartmentalized so it was great for an event with ~70-80 people. Would not recommend as a place for kiddos as there are a lot of steep stairs and delicate features. The staff seemed nice but they are very strict about timing - if you paid for an hour, you must leave right at the end of that hour! Our friends who rented the space seemed happy with the service, though.
