The Queens of BK LOBSTER are setting an extremely high bar and this is coming from someone who just drove an hour to devour a few items from there eyecatcher of a menu. Everywhere I looked there was more I wanted to order. People I stood in front of the self-order station for 10 minutes, even though I thoroughly read the menu several times before my arrival, albeit, a few days ago. The owner was present and so helpful at assisting with my order, because honestly, I could have ordered double of what I did. Geri/Jerri(please correct me) is such a welcomed and beautiful presence from the tribute to her mom, to the aesthetic in her business to the primo staff and such a new, vibrant take on a Seafood menu. Let me tell you ALL, Sis has put big thoughts, community and love into cultivating this menu. Most "TO-GO" spots offer your standards: Whiting, Catfish, Tilapia, etc. Not here and I'm sold already. HADDOCK, SNAPPER and seasoning that calls out to the muti-dynamics that our people share. The fragrance of seafood filled the air and my decisiveness went out of the window! My order: Snapper Bites, Kids BK LOBSTER Roll ( comes with fries), Shrimp Taco's and Fried Rice. I am literally writing this review and hungrily awaiting my order....Now to busines: My food was properly packed and placed on the counter for my approval. Everything looked great. I couldn't wait to dive in! So I chose 1 of the 4 sturdy, metal stools and began to eat. Lobster roll 1st: AWESOME...I wouldn't change a thing. Generous portion of lobster, BK sauce was a compliment to the fried crustecean, eyes rolling as I chomp down on this seafood delight. I was completely immersed in the experience. My lobster was executed perfectly and I enjoyed every bit. Sidebar: I'm NOT big on bread, to me it's an edible plate/food holder(there are a few exceptions, but they exist). There seemed to be the perfect ratio of lobster to butter to bread. I'm so glad I was eating alone because I know I unhinged my jaw to get the "perfect bite" and I did. Delish... The SNAPPER bites were snapping. The red and green peppers gave it a different flavor. This is unique to me and I thoroughly enjoyed it. With a squeeze of lemon juice, enough said. A very solid recipe and execution. And there was more than enough to share with another, which I did begrudgingly... The Shrimp Taco's, 2 per order, were so good. Everything tasted SUPER FRESH, with the perfect amount of toppings. I wouldn't change a thing. Oh and BTW folks, this seafood is NOT heavily battered. The shrimp are grilled, flavorful, plump and srcump-dilly-umptious. Flag on the play! The FRIED RICE...My fault. Human error. Sorry folks I neglected to get shrimp or lobster in my rice. Ikr, it's breaking me up inside too. That just makes me want to come back again sooner. However, Chef Crystal is truly a gem! The love is reflected in the food. This is not your local carry-out's rice. It's also made with a mix of peppers and rice, fried perfectly without being greasy. For me, this was a truly amazing experience. I felt I was amongst family and we were all waiting for Big Momma so we could break bread. I appreciate the ladies of BK LOBSTER. You have a customer for life! Outstanding first time experience. See you soon!

Always a great experience here! Food is so delicious ‍. I went back home to visit my hometown in Baltimore and while there I visited BK Lobster. Shoutout to Geri the owner she is a real gem. I loved this experience because I was supporting a black owned female business. Okay NOW let's get into THE FOOD..... The Lobster Rolls are out of this world. The wings are always bomb too!! Just checked out some of the new menu items at and they did not disappoint! Everything stays hittin', but that NEW Surf n Turf Lobster Roll? Game. Changer. ‍ Do yourself a favor--run, don't walk ‍ and go get that bite! New Menu Items 1. Surf N' Turf ‍ 2. Salmon Cheeseteak 3. Alfredo Wings

Wednesday 3/26/25 I came across this spot through Yelp and was quite intrigued after seeing different items like the various lobster roll flavors and the lobster Mac n cheese. I made a call to get information regarding the menu because the bread pudding and lobster Mac n cheese weren't popping up on the website to order. The lady told me that the lobster Mac is only on certain days and that the bread pudding was out of stock, along with all other desserts. After gaining clarification from the call, I ordered on the website and the East New York lunch $20 and the 8 pc wings: honey lemon pepper ranch (with BK sauce on side) $13. The service over the phone and during pickup was good. - The East New York lunch was the classic warm butter lobster roll paired with chips. Those warm lobster rolls are always good. This one wasn't the best I've had, but it was good. My mom also got it and she enjoyed it. - The honey lemon pepper ranch wings were solid, but the "honey" and "ranch" features were non-existent, it's just lemon pepper wings. - The BK sauce is their house sauce and it was cool, reminded me of a creamy ranch sauce. The BK sauce wasn't needed for the lobster roll, but it helped elevate the wings experience. All in all, this spot was cool and I would be open to coming back to try more of their items (if available) like the lobster Mac, bread pudding, and various unique lobster roll flavors.

We were visiting Baltimore and wanted lobster . We came across this spot and Krystal the owner was so nice and made you feel welcome. She can throw it down omg the New Yorker sandwich was ridicules good and lobster fries was . Only few seats open but totally worth it. Again she made it welcome the ambiance was so nice. Definitely give this spot a try

East New York Roll was delicious! I'm more of a simple sandwich person so the lobster and butter was enough for me. The roll was toasted with like a garlic butter and it was delicious! I also ordered the snapper bites with the jerk sauce. The jerk sauce was perfectly spicy and complemented them well. They have good lunch specials with certain lobster rolls. I ordered ahead shortly after they opened and the timing was great. I will definitely be back!

Had the crown heights lobster roll Big mistake! Don't fry lobster Don't eat fried lobster. It defeats the purpose. Might as well pay for fried chicken. Frying it covers up it's amazing taste! Not only all that, they put WAY TOO MUCH their BK sauce on the rolls

Entrance- you need strength to open that door!

The food was tasty - especially the wings & I'm not even a wings kind of girl. The service was amazing as I was able to talk directly to the chef and I'm looking forward to returning to try some other dishes. I wish the prices were more affordable, but everything is costly right now.

Little cozy shop. The service was very friendly and warm. Food was also awesome. Will come back XD

East New York Roll -- lobster chunks tossed in warm butter

I came here for Baltimore Restaurant Week earlier today and got the East New York lobster roll for lunch. It was amazing! I love lobster and I like my seafood on the saltier side, so this was perfect for me. The slight crisp of the bun really enhanced the texture of the lobster chunks, and the amount of butter on the bun was just right. I'll be back to try other items on the menu! The Lobster Mac & Cheese and the Lobster Grilled Cheese are next on my list.

This was the first time I got to try this restaurant. It was a very long wait but I believe they were understaffed as they only had two people working. However with the fried lobster rolls we ordered, they were absolutely AMAZING. The lobster was perfectly fried and seasoned, the bread was the perfect consistency, and the lemon was the cherry on top. Also I don't know what's in that BK sauce but it is TOP TIER.

Ms Carolyn

We stopped by BK Lobster for a trial of goodies.... I must say Ms Geri the owner was very pleasant and welcoming along with the young lady who suggested we try the snapper bites. The vibe was old nyc chilling on the block listening to dope music smelling the essence of good seasoned food . The lobster rolls were the bomb . Com nice crispy/fluffy buttery roll. The lobster claws were just enough! The sauce topped it off. We'd return for sure . Overall she dedicated it to her mom she lost in 2020 who and i quote "what god has for you is only for you" nothing will stop this business from being great . It's black owned, family/God motivated and it's good . Gone head give em a taste

Why is BK known for lobster? Why are they in Baltimore? I dunno but I'm here for it. This place is mostly carry out they do have a narrow bar and a couple stools but that's an about it for seating. That's not the important part you're here for the lobster and they have good options. What I tried: Fish sandwich Fried shrimp Lobster salad Lobster roll All good options the lobster roll was the least favorite but I think I was looking for a more buttery roll like I was in Maine and this is a BK roll so to each his own. Prices made sense for what you were buying and you got a good amount of lobster and shrimp for your troubles. This is a nice in and out spot when you have a lobster craving on this side of town

I saw BK Lobster on Instagram and knew I had to give them a shot. My son had a basketball game in Baltimore and I knew this would be my shot. I decided to call ahead to see if this was a sit down restaurant or more of a carry out. She informed me they had seating so we drove on over. The seating is small. Its a bar strip with 4 stools. This is definitely a carry out spot. The young lady at the register was very friendly and kindly took my order. I opted to go with the Trio and an order of Lobster Mac and Cheese. My Trio options were East New York tossed in warm butter. Delicious Delicious Delicius. Tons of Lobster on a nicely buttered roll. Crown Heights (Lobster with BK Sauce Drizzle. Lobster BLT (Lobster with Bacon Lettuce and Tomato. All 3 were top notch. Plenty of Lobster and at the price point I think it is really good. Everything was hot and fresh out the kitchen. (We were the only ones in there on a Saturday at 4:45 which surprised me) We also ordered some Lobster Mac& Cheese. This was good however I'm used to the lobster being baked in with the Mac & Cheese. Here it is not. Still good with good portions of lobster. The food was great. If I'm in the area again I'm definitely stopping by. I'll be calling ahead as it took about 20 minutes to get our food.

We ordered the small raw seafood tower, the steamed seafood platter, and the lobster pasta from the large plates section. We are a family of four with a pretty big appetite, and it ended up being the perfect amount of food for us. Everything was delicious and incredibly fresh. The raw tower came with cocktail sauce, mignonette, horseradish, and lemon slices, and the steamed platter was served with melted butter and nicely seasoned spices. There was also hot sauce and Old Bay seasoning on the table so you could customize everything to your taste. Once the seafood arrived we got fully busy with our hands and all the tools provided, which honestly made the whole experience even more fun. I genuinely cannot pick a favorite because we enjoyed every single thing we ordered. I also tried the Orange Crush, which I learned is a Maryland vodka drink made with freshly crushed fruit juice. That drink was dangerous because it tasted just like orange juice, but the vodka definitely sneaks up on you. Since we were celebrating, dessert was on the house, which was such a thoughtful touch. We shared the cast iron baked cookie with salted caramel ice cream and it was the perfect ending to the meal. The cookie was crispy around the edges, soft and moist in the middle, and the slight saltiness from the ice cream paired so well with it. Our server, Lylah, was wonderful and made sure we always had everything we needed throughout the meal. This ended up being such a memorable dinner for our family. Highly recommend The Choptank for seafood, celebrations, and a fun dining experience in Baltimore.

The waitress made a bunch of mistakes that she never apologized for like not bringing a bottle of wine we ordered until an hour after we sat down, accidentally ordering an additional seafood platter and not removing it from the check, not including fries with a dish that came with them, then charging us extra for them when we asked her to please bring them. In total lunch took over 3 hours when it should have been half that at most. Good help is hard to find these days it seems.

So it cost me $10-15 to for a plastic takeout container. Had I not looked at the customer copy of the bill I would have not only not known but I would have tipped based on the total which already included the additional gratuity charge (which was not disclosed on the merchant copy). This is so unnecessary and ruined what would have been a good experience. They said it was a "sharing charge" which I have experienced and applies when u have another diner with you and u decide to split an entree. Had they disclosed I would at least had the option to finish the meal. The saying "stepping over dollars to pick up pennies " seems to apply as this left such a bad taste I doubt I will return despite the fact the crab cake was delicious and the loaded baked potato was average (hardly loaded) Beware of the hidden gratuity for take home leftovers!!! Update to above: I did follow up with Angie this morning and she was very kind and offered to credit back my card for the extra gratuity. She also explained that I was misled about the "sharing charge" but they do automatically add 15% gratuity regardless of party size or quality of service. So I would give 4 stars for the food quality and 1 star for the way in which they present and charge gratuity. Tipping should remain at the discretion of the diner based on service and food quality otherwise just get rid of tipping and raise your prices

They did just that. I chose to sit on the 2nd level because it was a little warmer up there and I was able to have time to myself to catch up on my Yelp. I was given menus immediately although I already knew what I wanted. I ordered immediately and was informed that I made great selections and great selections indeed. I ordered their Firecracker Shrimp appetizer and B.A.L.T. Sandwich as my entree. The appetizer was plated lovely! It was so tasty and good. The B.A.L.T. is where we ran into some problems, but before I get to that let me finish out the greatness. The French Fries that I received with my sandwich was so good that I stop eating my Shrimp Appetizer because I had to eat each and every one of those curly seasoned fries. They were so so so good! They gave me the entire head of lettuce and I opted not to get the avocado and mayo but 1 miserable piece of bacon on each half... heartbreaking. For that reason this place gets a 4. Only reason I didn't give them a 3 is because the young lady that assisted (Kelsey) was fantastic! She was so sweet and kind. She came at the right time all the time and each time she needs to see me she had to run upstairs to check on little old me and appeared to have no problem with it.
