I will be coming back!!! When you think about seafood prices, nothing beats the value this place has. I was able to quickly find street parking on a Friday afternoon. Sal is super nice and will strike up a conversation with you! This spot is located in a food hall where many people look to take their lunch. I got the crab cake sandwich meal which comes with fries and a drink -- SO DELICIOUS! I can't wait to try more of their other items
WOW! The best high quality seafood for a very reasonable price that I've encountered thus far. The half and half cream of crab and Maryland crab soup had so much crab in it and was so flavorful without being too heavy. The crab cake was only $12 for a lot of crab (not just cake). Also absolutely loved the Maryland fries (Old Bay, garlic flavor) dipped in their house sauce. Incredible freshness of seafood. Quick service. Located in a food hall with a good amount of indoor seating.
Very fresh and affordable seafood. Fast service. Located in the center of the market. Inside is nice and open and the food was delicious. They have everything from oysters to shrimp. Raw and cooked seafood available as well as sides and Agua frescas. I got the fish tacos for only $10. They were well seasoned and came with pico, salsa verde, and chopped lettuce. Definitely going back!

Seating: Indoor seating with room for about 20 people inside the market. Vibes: You're right in the heart of Old Town / Fells Point -- the touristy but charming part of Baltimore. I dig the vintage brick roads, the historic feel, and the mix of locals and visitors passing through. The space sits inside a lively market (1640 Aliceanna St) with that true Baltimore seafood vibe -- casual, approachable, and full of movement. It's not fine dining; it's flavor-first, no-nonsense, and welcoming. Great for a quick grab-and-go or to sit down for a casual meal. FOOD/DRINKS: Crab Soup (A-Ok) Simple but hearty. It reminded me of a tomato-based soup with crab mixed in -- nothing too fancy, but warm and satisfying. I appreciated the richness and good amount of crab meat. I'm more of a clam chowder fan, so next time I might go that route, but this was still solid. CUSTOMER SERVICE: Quick, friendly, and efficient. The staff clearly know what they're doing and keep things moving without losing that personal touch. TL; DR OVERALL: 4 Stars. Good prices, solid flavors, and a classic Baltimore seafood feel. I decided to try the catfish sandwich and fries. It was just ok for me. I asked for no tomato but received one. And maybe next time I would request fried onions and not raw. I did make them aware of the mistake... and the cashier was apologetic.
I found this food market online after another foodie raved about Sal & Sons' fish sandwiches--so of course, I had to try one for myself! When we arrived, the guy with the dimples greeted us with the warmest smile and so much patience as we tried to figure out what we wanted. He and his coworkers were super friendly, chatting with us while making sure every customer felt welcomed. I even noticed how kind they were to everyone else--yes, I was being a little nosey . Here's the funny part: we didn't realize we were talking to the owner at first! He was chatting nearby, so we asked him to clean off a table for us--then someone said, "That's Sal!" I laughed and said, "Sal, I've been calling your name for five minutes and you didn't come!" He smiled, sat down, and talked with us for a few minutes like we'd known him forever. He was serving food, cleaning tables, and interacting with everyone--just so humble and down-to-earth. I loved that energy. Now let's talk about the food... AMAZING. My fish sandwich was fried to perfection--so good I couldn't even finish it and had to take the rest home. My friend loved her rockfish, and my other friend went in on her red snapper (and still had plenty left for later). The market itself was spotless and didn't have that typical "fish market" smell, which was a big plus. I'll definitely be back!
The food at Sal and Sons is very good. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because our fries were cold. It's probably because one meal was simple (crab cake sandwich, fries), and the other may have taken longer to cook to order (shrimp and chicken jambalaya). Otherwise, we were absolutely satisfied with the food. The crab cake sandwich was on point. The creamy crab soup was flavorful, creamy, and worth every bite. The shrimp and chicken jambalaya was also executed well. Also, I highly recommend trying the fresh fruit drinks. We got watermelon and pineapple, and "refreshing" doesn't begin to describe how good they were. The service was straightforward and to the point, which works for me. The establishment is located inside of a market. We went on a Sunday, so this was one of the few eateries open. I'm imagining that it is probably more jumping on other days. If I'm in Baltimore again, I'll definitely consider visiting again and exploring more of the menu.
Sal's son prepared the grilled Asian-glazed salmon, and it was absolutely delicious! The salmon was tender, flavorful, and cooked perfectly, with a sweet and savory glaze that complemented it beautifully. A satisfying, well-prepared meal that I would gladly order again.
Tried out the catfish sandwich and the crab rolls. Both were fried and not too oily which I enjoyed. I really liked the aioli that came with the rolls to the point I poured It on my fish sandwich. The fresh onions can be a bit much so you may want them to add less. Catfish was crispy and juicy too.
Seriously, I don't understand why this place is averaging a 4 star rating. This place blew me away in the best way possible. The worker was very patient when taking our order even when we had a little conversation between ordering. The food came out within 10 minutes and I believe the manager came out to make sure we enjoyed our food. The crab dip + chips could've been warmer. But there's no doubt that the presentation and TASTE will knock your socks off. I would come back again and again! Not too salty. The chips were loaded. The fries might not look like much but the sweet potato fries were actually so good. Not a gross, soggy type. It was 8/10. The Mac n cheese + crab was out of this world! So much flavor with the cheese and crab combo. Noodles were cooked properly and soft. I'd say the ambiance is like any market. Not quiet but not too noisy. I overheard some lady say that there wasn't enough salt in her food which surprised me. But I genuinely thought the food was superb !!! Will definitely come back here to show my friends.

They also offer different types of Fish *All cooked to order , Huge Shrimp , Crab Cakes and sides . Make sure to pick up one of their Homemade Drinks too .
Great find as i was strolling through the Canton area. Its located within this the food hall/market. What I enjoyed most about this establishment was the ability to select the fish i wanted and the style in which it was prepared. You also have the option to buy it uncooked. The staff is really nice, quick and knowledgeable. As it is a hall, you have different seating options and ample amount of space to enjoy your meal .
I stopped by here a couple of Saturdays ago with my wife and twins for lunch. Since my wife likes seafood, we looked for a seafood restaurant in Fell's Point on Yelp and happened to find Sal and Sons. This restaurant is located in the Broadway Market, a type of food hall. As such, Sal & Sons is set up more like a food stall with some high-top seating, while there are plenty of standard tables throughout the market. For lunch that day, I decided to go with a fried oyster sandwich, while my wife chose the crab mac and cheese. We also decided to share the Maryland fries and ordered a cheese quesadilla for our kids. I tried the fried oyster sandwich first and thought it was fantastic. The brioche bun was toasted, buttery, and soft, while the fried oysters were super crispy and flavorful. The lettuce and onions added a nice freshness to what was otherwise a rich sandwich. Next, I tried the Maryland fries. The fries themselves were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The flavor was good overall, with a strong garlic presence. What I didn't taste, however, was any Old Bay, which is odd considering that's what I assumed made them "Maryland fries." Honestly, I think they forgot it. My wife enjoyed her crab mac and cheese and was impressed with the amount of crab in it. Last but certainly not least, the quesadilla was nicely cooked and both of our kids enjoyed it. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. Everything we had here was fantastic and I would love to try more of their menu.
Wow what a steal!!! The owner is super nice and the food tastes fresh. Seriously, come here for a quick and easy lunch. You won't find another crab cake sandwich for the same price that tastes good. I do wish it was seasoned slightly more but I'm aware of how much salt I prefer on my food over others So yummy and a good quick lunch! read more

A short walk from the Saturday Farmers Market is Sal & Sons Seafood in the Broadway Market. It isn't a big building so you can't miss it. Order at the register, and wait for your check # to be called. We shared the Maryland crab cake sandwich platter $18.95 and fried oyster sandwich $12.95 off the regular menu, on brioche with lettuce onion and tomato. For the side of the platter we got vegetables, for the drink we had our pick of the bottled drinks in the fridge. The vegetable portion was impressive - plenty to share for two! The sandwiches were satisfactory. The portions good for the price. read more

So I am doing work right across the street and decided to have a quick lunch break today! I'd been pressed to see what types of food were inside this food hub! Walked to the rear and locked in on this spot! I ordered Salmon tacos since i wasnt trying to stay long or eat too much..I still had work to do! But I did add beans and rice to my order and it was pretty good!! The food came out really fast too! The place was clean, the servers were nice and attentive which is always a plus! I'd definitely return if I'm in the area again! I always amazing intrigued by foods that don't have a whole lot going on with the aesthetics or plating but taste phenomenal!!! Try it! read more
Went there after Fells Point Fest. They were out of snapper as a few people ahead of me asked for it and I overheard and it sounds like you need to call ahead for it? Anyways I got the jambalaya. It was really tasty and portion was good but if its supposed to be shrimp and chicken jambalaya, I expect more than 3 pieces of shrimp. Docking a star for that. I also shared some clams with my boyfriend and it was fresh; the horseradish they use really has a good kick to it. While its tucked away inside the market its a place to check out even though the Choptank is directly across from it. read more
I ordered a crab cake sandwich and it came with fries. I asked for it on a brioche roll and it was delicious! Sandwich could use some condiment in my personal opinion. Service was prompt and they even brought it to our table since we sat closer. It's inside Broadway Market so depending on the time you go, it may or may not be loud. read more

Fast, efficient service and great seafood! We did takeout, and the fish was still crispy and the fries hot when we got home. The food was light, tasty, and not greasy at all. Broadway Market is a nice spot with plenty of seating, and the menu has lots of options. Can't wait to go back and try more! read more
Located inside Broadway Market. This is a good and convenient seafood place to grab lunch. I've been here a few times and each time, I've tried something different. The food quality varies depending what you get. Their crabcake is decent for the price and their fried dishes can get a bit too fried in my opinion. I recently came here for the steamed shrimp and fried seafood platter. The platter was large but most everything looked and tasted overly fried. The steamed shrimp was quite good and there were plenty of large pieces. The workers here are friendly and great. Prices overall are pretty good. This is a really good spot for lunches! read more

Food was absolutely delicious! The seafood was very fresh. We got: - soft shell crab sandwich (daily special): crab was made perfectly! FYI: It came on toasts. - rockfish fillet: accompanied by a lot of vegetables. The Cajun spice was great. - lemonade: a bit too sweet but is very refreshing. Overall, this place deserves its high reviews. The service is efficient. The store is is a food stall that is located inside an indoor food market, so it's a casual place. read more
If you ever find yourself in Baltimore by Fells Point, you have to visit Sals & Sons--it's a must! I had the crab mac & cheese, and it was so bomb! Hands down, one of the best crab mac & cheese dishes I've ever had. It was creamy, flavorful, and packed with fresh, perfectly cooked crab meat that took it to the next level. Driving down from NYC we were looking for a place to get some seafood and Sal and Sons was the first choice. The food is amazing and great value. Highly recommend their catfish sandwich, crab cakes, jambalaya and Sopa de Mariscos! Alejandro and the rest of the team offered great service and such a friendly attitude. We liked it so much we came back the following day! Definitely stopping by next time we are in Maryland! read more

I would go to Baltimore just for this crab cake! I also tried the crab egg rolls, equally amazing! Neither needed sauce, both were perfect on their own. There was a little wait but so worth it, highly recommend! read more

Good food and service. Try the steamed shrimp with their shrimp sauce, it's so good. The Maryland cheap soup and an exceptional amount of crab sitting on the bottom of the soup. The watermelon drink was very refreshing and not overly sweet. read more

Excellent casual seafood spot by Fells Point. It's nice to have a place like this to order fresh seafood over spending a fortune at a high-end restaurant. Many locals were here ordering takeout combos of fish, fries, and a drink. I skipped the fries and focused on eating seafood that is hard to get in my hometown without going to a fancy restaurant. I ordered one fried crabcake, raw oysters, and a refreshing aqua de pina drink. Everything is reasonably priced, local, and fresh. A half dozen oysters cost $12. They are large and fresh, served with cocktail sauce. The crabcake was delicious. Very meaty and nicely crisp on the outside. Fells Point is a touristy spot, but Sal and Sons doesn't feel like another overpriced tourist trap. The food and service and top-notch and is popular with the locals. Worth stopping by for a delicious, reasonably-priced meal. read more

Located in the Broadway Market in Fells Point, Sal and Sons is a winner. Order at the cashier and sit at the counter. Watch your order being prepared fresh in front of you. We saw our crab dip prepared stove top, our crab cake being broiled, and heard the sizzle of our fries. We even saw the Maryland Crab Soup being prepared and I asked for a taste. Very tomatoey but good. Everything was delicious. I particularly enjoyed the crab cake and the Maryland Fries (with garlic & old bay!) We were the only ones there at about 3pm so the service was super fast. Not sure how it would be at busier times. Definitely a place to keep on our radar. read more
Sal did not disappoint ! First time here and definitely will be back . Never had a soft shell crab sandwich until now and I'm in love . The only thing the sandwich was missing was bacon. But nonetheless it was amazing . My crabcake sandwich and crab cake egg roll did not disappoint . The staff was very polite and the establishment itself was well kept and very clean . Sal and Sons were a delight to dine in. Located in a food Market, Sal and sons offer casual yet solid seafood options. We opted for the fried crab cake with cajun fries and the grilled shrimp and scallops with veggies. The jumbo crab cakes were loaded with chunky crab meat. The texture and flavors were good especially paired with the Tatar sauce. The fries was underwhelming, though. The grilled shrimp and scallops were *bouncy* and incredibly fresh. Service was fast and people were cordial. We also tried their fresh oysters with their homemade horseradish. Their horseradish were super strong and punchy, but that's what you need to give the oysters a little kick, right? The oysters were fresh, bouncy and delicious, although one of them were pretty sandy. read more
