While I was at the BTS concerts, my husband and son were exploring Baltimore and they told me they really enjoyed lunch at Nick's Fish House. I didn't get to have any seafood while we were in Baltimore so I said I wanted to go there before heading back home. They didn't argue. They loved the food there! Since we had to leave as soon as possible, we didn't order anything that was purely seafood. I ordered the cream of crab soup which they had raved about and the crab grilled cheese. The cream of crab was AMAZING! I could have eaten a whole pot of it! It was so good! I enjoyed the crab grilled cheese as well. There was a generous amount of crab in it so it definitely didn't feel skimpy. Although the food was great, the service was very slow. We waited quite a while just to place our order because our server was nowhere to be seen. We'd love to go back if we ever get the chance to visit Baltimore again but hopefully we'll get better service next time!
Nick's Seafood in Baltimore delivered a great waterfront dining experience. We started with the crab dip and the mussels and clams with chipotle lime sauce, and both appetizers were outstanding. The mussels were absolute perfection: tender, flavorful, and cooked just right. The chipotle lime sauce added a delicious kick that kept us coming back for more. For our entrées, we both ordered the fish and chips. The fish was crispy and tasty, though a touch more salt would have elevated the dish. Overall, it was still a satisfying and well-executed meal. On the cocktail side, the Amber Rush was the winner and one I would definitely recommend. I also tried the Maryland Mule, which was refreshing, but it wasn't quite for me. I tend to prefer liquor-forward cocktails, and this one leaned a little too light for my taste. Between the delicious seafood, standout appetizers, and beautiful Baltimore waterfront setting, Nick's Seafood is definitely worth a visit. I'll be thinking about those mussels for a while!
This place is so great! Definitely a must if you're visiting in the summer, they have a really nice outdoor patio. The patio does have live music and can get very loud if you are close to the stage. We got the blue crabs, and the nicks salty seasoning was so perfect with the sweet crab meat. Service was quick and easy.
Bravo Zulu!! Outstanding and noteworthy! Everything from the appetizers to the crabs came out piping hot! All made to order. Kick myself for not getting my waitress' name bc she was outstanding! Everything was perfect and she made us feel like family. I will be back and am now a regular! Love Nicks place!!
We ordered the seafood platter with a broiled crab cake, mahi mahi, shrimp, and scallops. Unfortunately, everything arrived slightly warm rather than hot, which took a little away from the experience. Thankfully, I asked for a side of lemon butter sauce, and that was a game changer. It added just the right touch and really brought everything together. Overall, everything was really good. Not the best seafood platter I've ever had, but definitely a solid meal. Our waitress was lovely and such a good sport. She patiently humored all of our questions about the area and took very good care of us throughout the meal. Her friendly service definitely added to the experience. We sat inside and had a decent view of the water and bridge. Although, the deck partially obstructed our view. If you don't mind the extra wait, I'd definitely opt to sit outside on the deck.
The big draw today was one of our favoritè performeŕs...Virgil Cane. He always brings his talent to all. He sings and is a 1 man band with many modalities of music. 4 guitars, 1 violin. & 1 keyboard. Some people, when they hear the words of "1 man band" they groan. Believe me the restaurant was packed and we had to wait for seats, finally a còuple got up aftér their meals at the bar.Aha, grabbed them. This is restaurant is right on the water and oh what a view. The decor, inside and outside was your typical beachy theme. Both of us ordered seafood thst was fried. Mine was the fish (cod) & chips and my husband got the shrimp & chips. Huge portions on a huge plate, all was delicious. It was a surprise to us that our orders took about 15 min from ordering to delivery. The staff was very pleasant and handled the crowd at the bar. The majority of the casual crowd was served by other wait staff. Very efficient. Ps: No discounts. We will return.
We've been coming to nicks for crabs for years. Unfortunately this time around we got there too late and they were out of crabs, so we opted for a variety of other dishes. We started with the cream of crab soup- always a banger- I do wish it had a little more crab meat in it though. We also had some salad. We shared a pound of shrimp, some oysters and some mussels. My main entree I got the rockfish- blackened. It came with a creamy lemon sauce that was really good. Honestly my favorite part of the meal. They have live music outside with the bar and big tvs if you are watching any sports. The wait is usually long on the weekends so plan to wait for atleast an hour. They now do valet parking which is annoying and the parking is not ideal. But overall still one of our top choices for seafood.
Nicks fish house is a must for crabs by the water, such a summer time experience. I see why this spot is all over my Instagram and TikTok. I stopped by on a beautiful Saturday afternoon and it was about a hour wait, so worth it. The crabs were fresh and perfectly seasoned, unfortunately they ran out of the large crabs so we settled for the medium size. We sat right by the water and there were a few live bands that played, there is a seating limit of 2 hours. The medium crabs were about $125 a dozen. I will definitely come back.
We came on a Tuesday night without reservations. There was a private party so seating was more limited. Only waited about 15 min. Unfortunately we couldn't sit outside but got to be next to a window overlooking the water. The young waiters and waitresses were attentive. The crab cake in my crab cake sandwich was good but everything else in that burger was as mediocre as it gets. Shrimp po boy was quite dry. I was glad I got to substitute my chips for a side salad though. Overall, good dining experience but I would try some other menu items next time.
We loved this place! We couldn't leave Baltimore not trying the blue crab. OMG, we got the 18 pieces for the 4 of us. We thought, too much? NOPE! It's was perfect to the last bite. Our server Brianna was fantastic and checked on us constantly. We had corn on the cob, Mac & cheese and mixed veggies for sides. I ordered the Basil lemonade which was very good! Worth the wait in line and we truly enjoyed our blue crab, perfectly seasoned in every way and then there was melted butter. Come hungry! Ambiance was loud but fun! Baltimore we will miss you!
Nick's has one of the best warm weather vibes in the city. A crush and crabs on their deck is a summer must. We went recently but had kids, so just did some apps and drinks on the deck. ***no HH outside*** just an fyi My fav drink is their Sagamore Crush! Unbeatable. We got the deck fries - they're great fries that come with 2 great dipping sauces. They're also the type of dry you wanna drench in malt vinegar and dip in ketchup. However, I really dont know that you can enough to justify a $10 price tag. Crab egg rolls - they were the table favorite. Crab Pretzel - nice and soft. good for sharing. the flavor was simple and to the point. not heavily seasoned. shrimp mac and cheese - cavatappi noodles yayyyy. I think they're the best for mac and cheese. cheese is super creamy with just a light bake on top. I think its PERFECT.
I have been eating blue crabs since I was two years old. One would call me an addict! Nick's Fish House has a new fan! This dining experience was a clear 10 out of 10! My Honey and I can't stop talking about the quality of the fresh seafood and the attentive server. We drove an hour just to have lunch there and trust me, we are already planning on returning really soon. The large MD Blue Crabs were succulent, heavy and meaty. Our freshly shucked Blue Point Oysters were sweet and briny, just how we like them. My Honey only wants onions with his steamed shrimp thanks to Nick's! If you wanna go to a chill spot where you could throw on your jean shorts and flip-flops and toss back a few coronas while enjoying some of the best Crabs in Maryland, check out Nick!
My little secret gem is blowing up! I love going for happy hour - the prices can't be beat. If you are looking for crabs, go early. It can easily be a 3 hour wait on the weekend. Deck seating and local beers - Nick's Fish House is definitely one to check out.

Great place for steamed crabs!! The atmosphere is fun, especially when the Ravens are playing! Outdoor seating is a great atmosphere to share with friends/family. The crabs are hot and seasoned well. Only disappointment was the size. We wanted X-large crabs but they only had large and mediums. Unfortunately, the large crabs looked like medium sized crabs. Also, we tried the calamari and fish n chips however neither were seasoned. We also had some cocktails but they were watered down. So, if you decide to order a cocktail you may want to stick with something bottled. The only cocktail that was tasty was the Rum Punch. read more

Loved this restaurant! Came out here from the DMV and met one of my friends here based off a recommendation. Thankfully, I was in no shape or form disappointed! Nick's was easy to find and I was able to find a parking spot near the restaurant. I absolutely loved everything concerning the decor of the place. You have an option to have some views of the ocean or sit inside which seemed nice as well. We were greeted by our host and promptly sat. There was live band playing which everyone enjoyed and added to the happiness of it being a Friday. For food, I ordered the crab cake sandwich with the Chesapeake French fries. We also ordered the egg rolls for appetizers. Everything was delicious, seasoned perfectly and great sides. I will definitely be back and can't wait to have the Maryland crabs! read more

Not my vibe preference but probably great for those who like loud good fun and lots of good seafood options. Also there had been a big musical festival nearby earlier so traffic and parking was a beast. Came with my 30-ish y.o. daughter and her friends, who chose the place for dinner after a show we'd traveled to Baltimore to see. We didn't have a reservation but our group of 6 was seated right away on the patio. There was live music so it was loud, but at least the band was good. Our server was really busy, but he was hustling. The kitchen made a couple of mistakes on our order, but he made good on it. I had the crab cake but forgot to snap a pic. It was pretty good. Had the grapefruit crush to drink and it tasted exactly like it sounds: fun but a little Kool-Aidy. read more

What a beautiful Sunday treat this was. The ambiance was perfect, anything near a body of beautiful water is perfect for a calm dining experience. Service was pretty quick and our waiter, Chris, provided us with the best recommendations. Drinks: I ordered the Amber crush with club soda- Refreshing and not too sweet The rest of my party ordered the sangria, orange crush, and sagamore crush. Everyone throughly enjoyed their drink. In fact, some of us enjoyed a second round because they were just that good. Appetizers: we started the dining experience with fried calamari and Nick's egg rolls. Fried calamari: fresh, perfect batter, consistency in the crunch, and a satisfying texture. It was well prepared and delicious. Nick's egg rolls: sinfully good!!!!! And it was stuffed with crab and shrimp. This was another fresh seafood dish with amazing seasoning added throughout. The dough had the perfect crunch-definitely worth the order! Entrees: I ordered the seafood platter- I opted for the broiled option and added crab stuffing to the mahi mahi. My sides were sautéed spinach and red bliss mashed potatoes. Here is a breakdown of each item on the dish: The mahi mahi- SO GOOD! Broiled to perfection and the added crab stuffing complemented it well The crab cake- AMAZING! Once you bite into this, your mouth is greeted by sweet meaty crab chunks, all seasoned to the core with a lingering perfect taste. Shrimp and scallops- SO DELICIOUS! Trust me, they provided quite generous with serving sizes so I actually ate these the next day. Loved it! Sautéed spinach- DELICIOUS! You could taste the fresh garlic which elevated the taste. Perfect sautéed side. Red bliss mashed potatoes- SMOOTH! No seriously, this was so smooth and buttery. This entire dish won my vote! The rest of my party thoroughly enjoyed their meals: Fish & Chips- Fresh and delicious Shucked n fried oysters- Excellent and fresh We ended this phenomenal dining experience with dessert. Brownie sundae- sinfully good! Bread pudding- one of the best I've had in some time. I love how the restaurant is right on the water with amazing view. Food is generally pretty good. I think the crab soup is little salty but it is tasty. Our server made us feel comfortable and she was very attentive. The place can get really loud if you pick a wrong day though. So if you are looking for relaxing by the water kind of evening, this place is not it. read more

We came here for dinner after a Ravens game. This place was packed we were still able to get a table without any issues. The service was great, although we had to wait a while for the crabs to come out. My wife ordered their Fried Green Tomatoes. These were really good. They were topped with lump crab & lemon butter. Luckily my wife isn't into crab that much so the bites that I had were big bites with a lot of crab. My son ordered their Shrimp Po Boy served in a fresh warm baguette. I stuck with a half dozen of their large crabs. They had ran out XL and Medium. They definitely took forever to come out but worth the wait. The crabs had plenty of meat and the seasoning was spot on. I can definitely see myself returning on our next Baltimore trip. read more
Wow! Some of the best seafood I've had my entire life, I could eat here every day of the week! I started with seafood gumbo which was delicious and a very generous serving size. I then ordered a half dozen of large crabs and a corn, this is where I really went crazy. The crabs were huge and full of flavor, my server Kala made sure I had everything needed to easily get the meat out of the crabs and I had plenty of space to toss the hollow shells. The crabs were perfectly cooked and seasoned, I wish I had a bigger stomach to eat more than a half dozen - they were that good! We came around 7PM in the middle of the week and and our wait was only around 10 minutes even with the place being packed. I really like the location and there's some art out back in the parking that was nice to look at while waiting for the text that the table was ready. read more

Came for lunch on a Friday with some family. We sat outside and despite waiting for a table (they were busy), the service was super fast. My food was freshly cooked and the server was great about bringing water refills. It was over 100 degrees that day! I love the view by the water while eating read more

Sounding like other reviews...the vibe was really cool, no doubt. Very comfortable as you are covered from the sun and had a nice breeze off of the water. The food highlight was definitely the broiled crab cake. There was barely any old bay on the Chesapeake fries, but they had some crab seasoning on the table that worked out well. Service was pretty good, they are having a good time behind the bar too. Orange crush is usually my go to in places like these, but they need to be shaken. read more
I was back home in Baltimore for the weekend and wanted to make it a point to sit down somewhere and really enjoy some crabs. Being from Baltimore, I love crabs and crab cakes, and while Florida is great, it just does not compare when it comes to Maryland crabs. I had actually never gone out to a restaurant to eat full crabs before. I always ate the m at home so this weekend I wanted to find a spot where I could have that experience in person. Nick's Fish House definitely lived up to my expectations. The place was awesome and the service was awesome too. I got a dozen large crabs and they were nice and meaty. Be prepared to pay, but honestly I expected that. From what I could tell, it seems like they get their shipment in the morning and it's kind of first come, first serve. If you really want crabs come at lunch. They ran out by time we left around 2pm. After the crabs, I got a single crab cake and it was amazing. My daughter got the fried shrimp and enjoyed that too. There's just something about sitting in Baltimore with an ice cold beer and eating crabs. This is a great spot, and I could easily see it being an awesome place to watch a Ravens or O's game too. read more

Nick's is an establishment that is known for their fresh abundance of delicious seafood and picturesque sunset views cascading alongside a never ending waterfront of deep blue sea! Our host was very attentive with round the clock service for my family of ten. Food was piping hot n delicious with generous portions. Their alcoholic beverages are not for the faint at heart. With ample seating and free parking, it's convenient and welcoming. The extensive menu offers delicious options; on my recent visit, we enjoyed refreshing drinks like red sangria and orange crushes. For appetizers, Nick's egg rolls and fresh steamed mussels were highlights, followed by generous portions of fish and chips, fried oysters, crab cakes, calamari, and various seafood platters. We came here on a Sunday around 6 p.m., and it was packed with the summer crowd. Despite how busy it was, the atmosphere was lively and fun. There was a live band playing, and it's right next to the pier, which made it a great place to walk around before or after dinner. The steamed crabs were absolutely delicious. We ordered 12 large crabs for $140, which seemed expensive, although I later heard that's about the going rate this time of year. I actually drove down from New Jersey specifically to enjoy Maryland crabs, and they did not disappoint. I also tried the Orange Crush and the Grapefruit Crush. The Grapefruit Crush was my favorite..refreshing and delicious. Overall, we had a great experience. Just be prepared for the seasonal crab prices, especially during the busy summer months. read more
We ended up here on a Saturday around 12:30-1 pm after our brunch reservations elsewhere weren't honored, and honestly, this worked out way better. There were four of us, and when we arrived there was a line to get in. We were quoted about a 45-minute wait, but since we noticed open seating at the raw bar, we grabbed spots there instead. We probably would've stayed there the whole time if we hadn't eventually been moved to a table by the window overlooking the docks, which was worth it. All in, we waited closer to 20 minutes, and considering how busy they were, that felt reasonable. For food, I ordered the Seafood Platter ($42) with the fried crab cake, scallops, mahi-mahi, shrimp, Chesapeake fries, and mac & cheese. Everything on the plate was done right. The fried crab cake had a lot of lump meat and great flavor. The scallops were juicy and a good size. The fish and shrimp were crispy on the outside and still juicy inside. I also got the buffalo fried chicken wings, which were solid. My wife and friends ordered a dozen large crabs, and those were the real standout. They were seasoned extremely well -- so much so that we were joking with the staff about whether the crabs had been injected with seasoning because the flavor was all the way through the meat. Everyone at the table was raving about them. I had a Maryland Mule with Sagamore rye. It was fine -- nothing bad, just your average bar mule. I tend to find bar drinks a little sweet and light on the alcohol, and this one was pretty much par for the course. The restaurant itself has a lot of indoor and outdoor seating and is split into different areas, which can be a little confusing if it's your first time there. Once you're seated though, everything flows fine. There's plenty of natural light, the place was clean, and for a busy crab house, it was in good shape. Noise level was moderate, even with a lot of big parties. The staff was friendly. Our server was really good overall -- he disappeared briefly at one point, but he came back and made up for it by the end, so no real complaints there. Price-wise, I felt it was worth it, especially for the seafood and the crabs. I'd order the same meal again without hesitation. Would I come back? The shrimp were okay. Would have skipped in hindsight since we ordered so much other food. My friend wanted the seafood tower so we got that. I though it was fine - a good way to try a bunch of items. Price wise, it was a great deal compared to spots in the SF Bay Area. I thoroughly enjoyed the crab. Glad we could order half a dozen instead of needing to get a full dozen. Would have been too much for 3 people. Service here was excellent. I guess there was a mix up when we sat at a table in the bar area. The hostess pointed us that way and said it was self seating. Our waitress let us stay and was super sweet. Love the location and the vibe along the waterfront here in Maryland. Perfect place for soup and salad on a hot day. They didn't get a shipment of blue crab in today so that was a bummer and I hear there's a shortage currently, but the crab chowder was amazingly creamy and delicious and I found it to be perfectly seasoned. Wow so glad I paired it with the poached pear salad and added a crab cake. This salad was so refreshing and it had dressing in every bite. By far the best meal I have had in a while. The shaded patios fans were on so the 91 degree temperature was tolerable, the service was slow, server seemed uninterested in work and it seemed like a new back of house staff was in training for the summer season. Would love to come back for the blue crab and all the other deliciousness. Highly recommend the food. read more

Half dozen is the minimum. At least that's what I was told.
Do they serve steaks?
No they don’t serve steaks. If you crave beef, I recommend the 1/2lb Angus Cheeseburger.
