I'm so sad because I'm not sure what's happening. I was so excited that Broadway market was revamping a couple years ago. I know a lot of the renovations came right before Covid and unfortunately, some of the vendors did switch out. Most recently, however, to Taharka Brothers pulled out. That said: there are still solid vendors there. I love Thai Street and Mount Everest and Vickys and the new Polish restaurant that makes a really good stuffed cabbage. The plant store is probably my least favorite plant store in the city, but I hope they continue to invest into this marketplace because I love the convenience and some of the really great vendors. read more

I ate at a Thai food spot which was really yummy, but I was a little disappointed that there was nothing else really going on. The farmer from PA is great. With lots of choices. Eggs, meat and vegetables. This was in Jan. The rest was bake goods, mushrooms and there was a guy selling fish one week. Some of it was held inside because of the cold but it was so dark you could barely see anything. Turn the lights on!! read more

Such a cute space! The renovations have really allowed it to shine. Very clean and hip on the inside. there are food stalls inside, outdoor seating, and limited street parking (parallel parking is the main option, streets can be narrow-- it's fells point, so be mindful of that!) great place to walk to if you're in the area. Prices will range depending on where you choose to eat. Inside, they have Last Slyce, Thai Street, Everest Spice, Connie's chicken and waffles, and Taharka Brothers. Plenty of options to choose from! Located in popular Fells Point, Broadway Market is a little food hall on the site of a historic market. During an overnight trip at the nearby Canopy Harbor Point, my family of three walked here for dinner on a Saturday evening. There aren't lots of food stands inside, but enough to find something you like. They have chicken and waffles, Thai, ice cream, seafood, a bar, etc. We opted for Thai and the vendor was out of this world. Our green curry, papaya salad and pad thai were well flavored and tasty! There are public restrooms in the back and tables outside and throughout the inside of the space. Our four-year-old daughter especially loved the kid-sized yellow table. read more

They do have a nice size area for outdoor/patio seating but would imagine it gets crowded inside during peak periods. Street Parking (Pay to Park) is available. Sophia's shouldn't be missed for Polish/European fare. We've tried and enjoyed Connie's for Chicken and Waffles. Also available: Seafood (Sal's), Thai Street, Deli/Breakfast (Vikki's Fells Point), Ice Cream (Taharka Bros), Pizza (Last Slyce), and Bar (Fat Tiger). An understated interior with most of the spots receiving higher ratings and appearing to be area favorites. Definitely worth a stop! read more

Full disclosure: we did not eat here. But that was our mistake. We were in town for a few days and spent our time on the water. It wasn't until right before we left that we came across this, and we were SO sad. We promised ourselves we would come back to check it out. We did a quick walk through and it was very Denver-esk food hall. Which is one of our favorite things. A style of food for everyone who is with you, delicious looking drinks, desserts, beers. Smells fantastic throughout the whole hall. Our biggest regret of the trip is not doing a food tour of this place. Maybe the food isn't great and that's why it's not highly rated? I'm not sure. I dont love it. I have lived here long enough to remember the original Broadway market with the small business stalls and sawdust on the ground in front of the fish stalls. This "upgrade" feels real gentrified which fits into the overall feeling creeping into fells point. I'm unimpressed nothing was memorable but taharka bros ice cream because they are always stellar. I'm going to say I don't love it again because I dont have too many words to describe the feeling I had walking through the new market. Definitely going after a new demographic than before. This place is very cool. They have so many different stands with different foods. My personal favorite is the pierogies. They are very traditional and very good. The employees here are also very nice as well. When we went here, it was before COVID, and we sat inside, which was pleasant and cool from the hot summer weather. They have a very cool outdoor seating area for the summer. I will definitely return. read more

Stopping in for lunch before heading back up North, I can understand why this is a local hotspot. With a small Faneuil Hall marketplace feel you'll find the most important thing, FOOD! With a couple assortments of local businesses, the home feeling that I get from this place is nice as each spot has their own setup and entrees. The one that caught our eye was the seafood and with nearby picnic tables indoors we walked around while the food was being fried up. I liked the place as we were all able to grab small dishes for a nice collection for the feast that we ended up with at the end. I grabbed some perogies while my sister grabbed pints from the only bar in the Marketplace. The rest of the family enjoyed some seafood collection but like I said, we enjoyed it all sharing the small tapas. Located pretty close to other stores and the water, the Marketplace is just the first stop in our walk as we checked out other sites and stores nearby. Luckily it was pretty quiet during out visit but just like any food hall I can imagine that this place is jammed packed during the summer time. You can feel the development while other areas are in disarray, it takes a community to support its local businesses and local businesses to give back to the community. With a local farmers market in the back that was sadly closing up I can see this place being an attraction for tourists but it's a collectible effort by all. read more

I never went to this market prior to this renovation, so I can't comment on that. What I will note is the newly updated space is super cute, a nice mishmash of modern amenities and rustic charm. It's a bit smaller than the other marketplaces around, but it had/has a more restricted footprint, unlike Mt. Vernon and R. House. The food offerings looked great, unfortunately I'd already eaten, so I did not try any. I settled in comfortably at the bar, which is in the center of the marketplace, and had a few drinks. This is a great spot to drop by with friends, family, a date, etc. There are even tiny tables and chairs for little kids. Lots of seating at bars, small tables, large group tables, etc all over. The building is brand new with a very clean, beautiful interior and air conditioning. The market includes a Thai place, Korean place, ice cream, seafood (where you can buy both prepared food and just the raw seafood), bar, etc and I think an outdoor Tiki bar is still being built out in the front. There's also a very aesthetic flower vendor at the front. Great location in Fell's Point surrounded by even more food spots, very close to the water (I think 1-2 blocks in). There are individual bathrooms and sinks easily accessible outside the bathrooms. Parking is paid street parking. If you park in Harbor East, first hour is free then it's $2/hour. On weekends the St Caroline garage is $5 all day. Also, I don't know why yelp says it's closed on Sundays because I went on a Sunday and everything was open. read more

Baltimore Public Markets has the worst Management I've ever worked under, managers are so contradicting and unfair and not to mention, the management shows favoritism and pick and choose who they want to say stuff to. it was also told that the Supervisor did not care about us because he makes us cross the street and off the premises to get supplies instead of pulling his car closer to the building so we wouldn't have to cross the street. Our Supervisor talks to us rudely and disrespectful. Our supervisor name is David Tyson and he should be fired immediately for his behavior. read more

What a cool place to get a bite to eat if you really aren't sure what you want. While in town the wife and I walked here from our room for lunch. I decided on a burger while she went with Indian food. It was nice we could both have what we wanted in one spot. After a quick look around they have about 9 different little places set up kind of mall food court style. There is a small bar in here if you want a drink. Everyone we talk to was really nice! The burger I had was one of the best I have had in quite sometime. So if you have a few people in your group and you cant agree on one type of food this is the place for you! It's a food hall, which has been renovated to a fancy modern space, but which maintains a strong Baltimorean seafood emphasis, which means it isn't that great for a vegetarian like me. I did find it a nice space to eat in, and I did try some ice cream, and there was as much of a variety of multinational vendors as you could fit into such a space, so I could see trying something, but compared to other food halls, the selection doesn't impress me (nor could I see where to get water). read more

Very cute and chill. I went on a Saturday afternoon at 1. I got Connie's Chicken and Waffles and my friend got pierogies from Sophia's Deli. Really good food and it was easy to find somewhere to sit. The only thing I didn't like was that the restrooms seemed a little dirty. My stall was messy with tp on the ground. I would definitely recommend this place tho if you have a group of ppl with different palates and need something quick, decently priced, and interesting. read more

This review is for the newly remodeled Broadway Marketplace near Fells Point, Baltimore, MD which has re-opened since last year. It had been closed for some time over previous years. Current state is modern, clean, and appears somewhat upscale for the tourist area. Here on a (colder windy) Sunday, noticed they are officially "open" at 11:00am, however,10:00am can find one breakfast place doing business with patrons seated near main entrance. Lots of choices in unique cultural cuisines: Polish, Indian street food, Thai street food, Korean street food (seeing a theme...yet?) and seafood choices. All are interesting and somewhat reasonably priced for Baltimore. There is an outdoor bar seating area also, which, was closed during our visit. The small "closet" restrooms are the very latest in societal uni-multi-sex access with a common hand-wash and drying area...strange...given people are sitting on either side at dining tables watching restroom-goers blow dry hands and gab loudly! Time to re-visit privacy (and dining ambience) themes. Overall, Yay! I'm a fan and worth a walk through if your touring the area. read more

We used to be regular customers here but never again after today. One of the security guards physically laid hands on someone who was previously sitting peacefully alone at a table eating by themselves. The reason? The security guard was heckling them because he didn't believe the food they bought was from the square. My girlfriend and I didn't know why he was making such a big fuss over something he couldn't prove. The outside tables were basically empty and there was enough seating for everyone even on a Saturday. This person was the only visibly queer person in the square so we think it was potentially hate motivated. There was no reason to threaten the police on someone for sitting alone quietly eating. When the person attempted to leave the guard stopped them off property and grabbed their arm. If this is how Broadway Market finds it acceptable for their security guards to treat Baltimore locals just enjoying their day then they lost more than three customers this day. We will not be coming back to Broadway Market for any future lunches and will be recommending our friends to eat and meet elsewhere. We recommend anyone else avoid Broadway Market, and especially this security guard who apparently finds it acceptable to physically assault strangers off property for peacefully eating and minding their own business. read more

Many different food stalls that offer a wide range of options: korean, thai, indian, etc. It's conveniently located near the waters so if you work nearby you can just walk. Really spacious seatings and bright lightings. Good if you're looking for a quick bite or lunch with friends. It is a little on the pricier side but the food quality is decent. OH MY but this place is cool, and will potentially be even cooler very soon (more on that in a sec). We literally stumbled on Broadway Market while blindly following the Yelp app to breakfast in Baltimore. What a fortunate and truly pleasant surprise. This modest and historic brick market has been in this location since the 1860s -- operating as a market since the 1790s -- and houses precious few vendors. But those that are here are top-notch, and a few, apparently, have been at Broadway for generations. Sal's Fish Market showcases some of the freshest, most beautiful seafood I've seen, embedded in glistening mounds of ice. You can watch fishmongers scaling, filleting, or shucking. Prices seem reasonable. [ {{sliding out soapboax}} It's too bad some of the seafood being sold, like monkfish, is overfished or declining and should be avoided. {{sliding soapbox back from whence it came}} ] Sophia's Place is a Polish grocer selling European candies; meats, sausage, and cheeses (hand me half a pound of that "Edamski," please!); fresh baked pastries and cakes; and hand-crafted pierogie from standard potato-filled to sauerkraut mushroom or blueberry. There were patrons conversing in Polish with the women behind the counter as they wrapped up deli purchases, so you know this spot is the real deal. Vikki's Deli and Broadway Café and Grill serve breakfast and lunch. I didn't see any real produce to speak of... However, on our visit I spotted a notice in the center of the market that construction will soon begin to revamp and remodel the space. More vendors are expected to set up shop, and once the face-lift occurs this Fells Point gem will surely shine even brighter. read more

Eh, looks and feels exactly like all the gentrified markets up and down the eastern seaboard. Options are not a knock out, a bit pricey and pretentious. If one was to do this outside the city, they would come with pitchforks and burn it down over the egregious amounts of cultural appropriation taking place. read more

I'm so glad they reopened Broadway market! There's finally more food options. The newly renovated market is a sight for eyes. It's for everyone. There was families there, kids, and coworkers enjoying the patio are when I visited. The market was clean and it assured me that this was a place I can eat at. The address is incorrect, I called and they never answered, and to top it off when I finally got there 25 mins before they were supposed to close the guy tells me they are closed. Small, but good selection of diner-style food/cheesesteaks at Vicki's, Sophia's Polish deli, and a smattering of Korean dishes from Joann's. All decent and inexpensive; it's a hard place to be, in the middle of a restaurant hub of the city, but hopefully can thrive. read more

This is a great place to go. Lots of different places to eat. The tiki bar is really cool and serves great drinks.

The atmosphere is very nice. We came around 8:00. Went to the bar and ordered a cocktail for myself and a beer for my husband. The bartenders were very sloppy with their service, spilling the drink and not cleaning or wiping it up. We finished our drinks and were waiting to order another drink. We waited over 15 minutes until the bartender acknowledged us. They were not paying attention to all the customers at the bar. We finally just got our check. I was highly disappointed on the service!! Not sure if I will be back. read more
