    6 Pork Dumplings
    Jacintha T.

Pork dumplings (Pan Fried) Very large, fully stuffed dumplings; the size of the dumplings make them very filling. Definitely much larger than traditional dumplings. The pork reminds me of breakfast sausage. I would've love if they had more of a green onion or lemongrass or more of a pronounced Asian flavor palate. Pretty good, though. Crispy Honey Chicken Chicken is lightly breaded, very crisp. I appreciated that they tented the lid to keep the chicken crispy for carryout. The sauce was interesting with a strong sweetened mayonnaise taste. I was expecting more honey than mayonnaise flavor. This was just OK. Combo Lo Mein The lo mein noodles were perfectly cooked. Generous portion and good amount of meat. Steak w/ Black Pepper Sauce This was the star of the show. Hands-down, the best dish out of everything I ordered. The steak was very tender, the ratio of peppers and onions was just enough. I appreciated that the bell peppers were not overcooked nor mushy. The pepper sauce had a heavy pepper presence and yet wasn't overpowering, it was the perfect balance of pepper to make the sauce. Jessica has customer service down to an art. She makes a conscious effort, to ensure everyone feels like family and welcomes everyone in with joy radiating from her. I would definitely recommend this place. A lot of the locals eat there and the food is really good.

Service is good. Food is exceptional. I've dined here around 5x and have tried many things on the menu and I have enjoyed the experience each time. I tried their Sunday brunch Buffet for the first time two days ago, and I was frankly, floored. There were so many items on the Buffet, and it was being refilled constantly. They're literally was a man in and out of there checking each dish about every 3 minutes. And unlike other Asian buffets, this wasn't full of mundane food but rather some top-of-the-line stuff. The sushi was fresh and flavorful. Desserts were fabulous. I had 2 of many to choose from. the strawberry mousse and the crème brûlée. I left full and happy. I'll be back.

Went here to celebrate my birthday with my boyfriend. We covered the entire table with food. It was incredible. They offer sushi, and have a lovely-looking sushi bar, but those aren't wheelchair accessible, and I wasn't there for sushi anyhow. We were seated in the dining room, FOX on the television. Seemed to be a lot of regular diners, as staff had conversations with several of them, catching up. And after tasting the food, I can see why people would eat there all the time. We started with shrimp toast. It's so difficult to find decent shrimp toast. These were okay, but I wouldn't order them again. They were nicely fried, but the filling was more like a dense shrimp paste. I liked them more with the dipping sauce that came with my crispy eggplant - which was perfectly battered and fried. Both reheated well in our air fryer the next day. My boyfriend got the Spicy Szechuan Wonton. HE LOVED IT. The soft wrapped wonton was like what you would find in soup, not hard fried. The broth was just the right level of spicy. Got him sweating a little. Of those three, we'll definitely be ordering the wonton again. Since we were celebrating, we also had cocktails. The Summer Breeze is tastier than the Zombie, but smaller. The Spicy Crispy Beef is what brought us to the restaurant. Saw pictures of it on Yelp and was like, "I need that in my life" and damn IT'S AMAZING. I wouldn't necessarily call it spicy, but it is gloriously crispy, yet tender. Sweet sauce and a julienne of carrots, celery, and another veg to add to the texture sensation, and to counterbalance the sticky sauce. We also had Hunan Crispy Duck (Half of a specially marinated boneless duck; served with asparagus in the Chef's spicy brown sauce). My boyfriend and I couldn't decide with sauce was better. He adored the sauce that came with the duck, but my vote is for the sauce for the eggplant. Our meals came with rice, but we never touched it. We couldn't stop shoving everything else into our faces. I think the one miss, the one dish that just didn't stand up to the others was the Sweet Chili Grouper (Lightly breaded grouper in chef's special sweet chili sauce). It wasn't bad, but like the rice, we just couldn't be bothered with it. One of these days we'll learn to stop ordering fish at Chinese restaurants. We completed our meal with a dish of mango pudding (SOOOOO good) and another dish of chocolate-covered banana pudding (could have done without the Hershey's syrup), you know - just free cuz they're cool like that. WHAT A GREAT BIRTHDAY DINNER!!! Would recommend.

Chicken Wonton Soup, 6 Pork Dumplings

Service was very fast. I placed a pick-up order, and it was ready when I arrived. The inside was decorated nice, and seemed very busy. The food was good. The dumplings and wonton soup were very good. The roast pork with vegetables was just okay, too smoky for my taste, but it may just not be for me. Overall good experience.

Credit to Yelp for helping me realize this restaurant exists, because I've been to this shopping center so many times before but never paid much attention to East West until now. It was clearly a blind spot in my local restaurant lineup because we really liked it. We came for their Sunday brunch buffet. Given it was our first time, I'm not sure which of the items are there regularly and which are on rotation, but they had a good variety of American breakfast items, Chinese takeout classics such as Hunan beef and orange chicken among others, fried shrimp, 6 different types of maki sushi rolls, salad, chocolate covered strawberries, and plenty of other dessert choices. They offered us wonton soup when we sat down and coffee to go with our dessert as well (included in the price of the buffet). The seating area was full when we arrived at noon, so we sat at the high top table at the bar. This did not impact the level of service- all of the employees are very nice and checked in on us for water refills and to see how we were doing during our meal.

The fresh seafood is priced very reasonably and everything is super fresh, you can tell. They have a self serve station with condiments and all sorts of things you can add. I would recommend making your "sauce" before you get all your food for the smoothest eating process. They also offer a couple of alcoholic beverages and coke products. If you walked in blind, you honestly wouldn't even guess they specialize in seafood -- that's how clean and fresh the environment felt. Major points for that alone. Now let's get into the food. I started with the cream of crab soup. The portion was solid and there were huge chunks of crab throughout, which I definitely appreciated. However, the base itself just wasn't to my liking. The crab was there, but the flavor profile didn't quite hit for me. For my entrée, I ordered the oyster platter with two sides -- regular fries and coleslaw -- and added a shrimp basket because when you're at a seafood spot, you might as well go all in. The meal definitely satisfied my hunger, but if I'm being honest, it tasted more boxed and frozen than freshly battered. That homemade, crispy, just-dropped-in-the-fryer feel wasn't quite there. On the bright side, the fries were good -- hot, crisp, and dependable. The coleslaw was exactly how I like it: balanced, not too sweet, not too heavy on the mayo. Where they truly shine is customer service. The staff was accommodating, friendly, and very helpful throughout the visit. Service can make or break a dining experience, and they definitely delivered on that front. Overall, while this visit didn't completely wow me food-wise, the cleanliness and service alone are enough for me to give them another shot. I'll be back to try something different and will happily update my review. Stay tuned.

But honestly, we thought it became too expensive over the years (maybe I'm just getting old). With that said, I sat at the bar (service was excellent), and ordered the 16 ounce prime rib, $55, with a Caesar salad and sweet potato, and mozzarella cheese sticks to start (~$10). I ordered a tea to drink, but requested a beer (~$8)with the steak. Total bill was ~$80. The prime rib was ordered and delivered medium rare, and was by far one of the best steaks I've had in probably three years. It honestly could've been cut with just the fork, no knife required, and was well seasoned. The sweet potato mash was well seasoned, without being over seasoned. And the Caesar salad was super crisp, and I happen to like creamy Caesar dressing. The mozzarella cheese sticks look like they're hand dipped (not sure) and very good. And delivered with extra marinara per request. The bartender even remembered to pour the Sam's seasonal beer (winter something, it was not the typical winter lager which i like as well) when the steak was delivered. I did not have to ask. That was really nice. Also, I did not have to ask for a refill on the tea, it just magically appeared. Plus, the appetizer, the salad, and the steak, we're all delivered at the right timing intervals. I did not feel rushed, nor do I have to wait. So, was it expensive? Maybe a little bit. But the service made up for it, and that's all the difference.

We were seated immediately once we checked in. The brunch buffet was on its last leg ( we arrived at 12:30) so we opted to just order off the regular menu. The menu has a lot of great choices. We started with the rockfish tenders and the brodkin egg rolls, both were delicious. I was especially fond of the rockfish tenders, they were seasoned and fried perfectly. I ordered a side salad, it was huge. I ended up boxing because I would not have been able to try my main dish if I had eaten that salad. For our main entrees we went with the Shrimp Scampi and the Blackend Chicken Alfredo. The Alfredo was just the way I like it, creamy not oily (oily does not reheat well). My mother said the scampi could use some cheese. The portions sizes were on point and the prices are very reasonable. The only issue I had was with our service. There was a big confusion on who was supposed to be waiting on the table. Once that was settled it just took forever for the server to comeback. I had to get up a few times to get my own stuff; plates and silverware. It was busy so I'm going to give the service the benefit of the doubt.
