Went looking for a somewhere new for takeout. Local places were well over an hour but Severna Park is only 10 min away. We went for some classics. The combo platter of Kung pao chicken which came with friend rice and an egg roll. Szechuan chicken. Egg drop soup. Everything was ready when I arrived and decently priced. Loved my Kung pao chicken. Just the right amount of spice. Hubby said the soup was thick and tasty. Perfect on a cold night. Super tasty all around and very glad we found a new place. read more

Best crab rangoons and sesame chicken!!! I've come here a couple times and had a 10/10 experience every time. The family that owns this joint is delightful and their food is always good in portion, taste, and temperature. I haven't dined in but their carry out is great. There's so much actual meat in their sesame and general tsos chicken. I've eaten lots of versions of sesame/general tsos chicken and this has the best chicken to breading ratio. Quality stuff!! The crab rangoons have a lot of filling and they're quite tasty. I always get them because I'm addicted now. We was in the area shopping so we found this place on Yelp. I stopped here because it got great reviews. It's a Carry Out or Dine in located in Roberson Crossing Shopping Center. We decided to dine in. We got a variety of dishes, the Fried Dumplings were my favorite, everything was good and came out hot. The Staff was nice and service fast. I took away a star because the restaurant could use some updating. I will return if I'm in the area again. read more

This is by far the worst Chinese food I've had in a long time. Two of us were throwing up all night, and our dog as well who we also fed some too. The food was bland at the very least and the dumplings had so much dough around them they were inedible, sesame chicken was ok , house lo mein was greasy and fishy tasting , shrimp were bad, we didn't eat any more , chicken chow mein was bland as well , not sure which dishes got EVERYONE in my house sick , but it was for sure some of them. I was so excited to try this for the first time last night and I did, ordering six different things for carry-out. I was even more excited to watch them working hard on the woks in the back and was so hopeful that this area's dearth of good (not even great) Chinese food had been resolved. I'm just going to say it didn't work out, and I hope the very best for the restaurant. Tried the fried buns, mongolian beef, beef fried rice, wonton soup, spare ribs and orange chicken. I would not order any of them again. There is a huge opportunity for an SP/Annap/Edgewater Chinese restaurant to dominate, whether that's a current place that reinvents themselves or a new place. I'd be there once a week alone! Since we were 0-for-6 we will wait a month or two, hoping for the best but prepared for something else. Decided to try a different Chinese take out place a few days ago and settled on Ming's. The good: Food was ready on time and stayed hot all the way home. Portions were reasonable and well priced. The not so good: Hot and sour soup and egg drop soup were tasty, but consistency was "gloppy" as if too much thickener (corn starch, flour, who knows) was added. They were more like sauces than soups. Crispy beef was not crispy and the minimal amount of sauce was also similar consistency as the soup. Virtually no vegetables in the dish. Chow fun noodles with vegetables were mostly noodles and few vegetables and dry, no sauce at all. Crispy shrimp was not crispy, but had a good flavor. Bottom line: Not awful, but there are better places in the Pasadena and Severna Park area. No need to come here again. read more

The absolute best! When they left China garden in bay dale two things happened. First the China garden food quality when through the floor. Second - China garden keeps losing customers. Accidentally ran into owner and he told me he moved. Happiness has returned to Oz. Best general Tso's chicken is back! As to Alex W's review...you simply have NO TASTE. We were looking for a new place to try on date night and found this little jewel. The staff are amazing, and combined with great food this has made this our go to place for Chinese when in the area. Their fried or steamed dumplings are amazing. Not potstickers that some places try to pass as dumplings -yuck, but the real deal with a large piece of meat covered in a thick dumpling and steamed or fried to perfection. My mouth is watering just thinking of them. We haven't explored a lot of dishes on their menu- probably due to ones from first night being too good (beef fried rice and lo mein) that we keep ordering same each time we go, but I expect anything they make will be amazing. The place isn't fancy, but it is clean and nice. Definitely the place to go if you are craving Chinese! read more

Ming's Cafe is a small, Chinese food place located in the Robinson Crossing Shopping Center (suite #D). It seems like Ming's stays busy, either because it's a true local favorite or it's the only one close by. Either way, the food is pretty good! My only critique is the price; they seem to be on the high end. But it's worth it when the food is good and the customer service is great! They'll often do their best to accommodate special requests if you're looking for something that it's on the menu. Call me basic but the General Tso's here is probably one of the best I've ever had - the perfect balance of spicy and sweet. read more

How this place has 4.5 stars, I have no clue why.... Nice driver and quick delivery and the food tasted okay. BUT... - The Hunan Chicken was SO greasy (see photo) and had what looked and tasted like canned mushrooms. The grease was so bad that I could feel it all over me after eating - The fried noodles (that come with soup) are the store-bought kind. - The tofu dish we got didn't have fried tofu, as they told us over the phone. It was the soft mushy tofu we don't like. We specifically asked, twice. I hate places that seem to tell you what you want to hear. Feeling super gross after this meal. This is my first time visiting this restaurant. The restaurant close at 10, they were kind enough to still take my order at 9:45 in the evening. LOL. When I normally arrive at other restaurants that serve Asian food/Chinese food, the food is already ready and all you have to do is pick it up. They told me that it would be an additional 2 minutes. I was impressed, to see that they actually made my food to order, therefore it was 100% FRESH! I ordered something basic last night. Which was simply the fried wing appetizer, as well as an order of pork fried rice. I would definitely try this place again. And yes, they deliver. read more

This is my favorite Asian restaurant // scratch that my favorite RESTAURANT in Severna park!! The general tso and sesame chicken is the most tender and fresh breaded white meat you will ever taste. Average strip mall Chinese carryout place. The best point here is they use large pieces of white meat chicken that are moist and have very little breading. Sauces are average, with decent flavor but very little difference between like items such as the General Tso and Sesame chicken dishes. Meat portions seem a little small, but that might be because they pack everything in the cardboard containers instead of plastic trays and include a lot less filler broccoli. The fried rice lacks in flavor. Soups are good. And they actually let you take your own condiments instead of filling every bag with stuff you don't need. So don't forget that on the way out! Service is good, and the facility might actually be cozy if you want to eat at one of the few tables inside. Overall a good comparison to other Chinese in the area, but not the best you can find. read more

The best crispy beef anywhere! Very reminiscent to a Chinese food restaurant here on the Broadneck peninsula, in Arnold that sold and relocated . Very nice owners, fast and fresh. You can stand at the counter and watch them prepare your meal. Or sit in their quaint and clean dining room. We do not get Chinese food anywhere else! Wondering if Ming's has new management. My last visit was very disappointing. I've been going here for years. This is the first time every item was not tasty. The shrimp & broccoli was over cooked, the spring rolls were soft with no crunch and the shrimp fried rice, no flavor. I tried calling to ask if there have been any recent changes. I hope it's temporary. I'll give them another chance because of previous experiences but this time, not my favorite. read more

This is a hard review because your experience depends on who is behind the counter. There is a woman (might be the mother) who is incredibly kind and will help you with anything, but there is a man, who is straight up rude and I have even witnessed him being mean to the lady when she tried to accomodate. Example-they have an extensive lunch menu where everything is around $5 and comes with both an egg roll and fried rice. I asked them to substitute tofu for the chicken in their General Tso's dish. The man says no, but that I can buy the tofu for $9.25 and no, it does not come with the rice or egg roll. I told him it makes no sense that he will charge me $4 more and give me less items. He argued and got rude with me. I did not buy it and I am not going back. Tofu is cheaper than chicken, period. In addition, Chinese restaurant just freeze it and take it out and fry it as needed, therefore it lasts a long time so it is not costly to keep around. The tofu is good, but because of the owner's rigid inflexibility, rude attitude and tofu price gouging, I will not be going back. read more
