First off, we are always looking for Chinese restaurants that are a dine in sort of place. Egg rolls are always so much better when they are right out of the fryer, don't you think? I had a hankering for some Chinese on Saturday and we were out doing some errands. I checked my phone and this place came up, so we decided to give it a try. I was initially concerned that it was one of those carry outs with just table and chairs inside, so I was very shocked when I found out it was an actual restaurant! Booths, menus, tea, the whole nine yards! Our server was busy working on an order, so she told us to just sit where we wanted. Once she finished bagging, she was over with menus and asking us what we wanted to drink. We looked at the menu and to our surprise, they offered a lunch special. Many places we go only offer it during the week, so this was nice! It was $9 and a little change....most of the places we go are pretty much between $7.50 and $9 for a three item lunch, so we found this just fine. Hubby ordered Shrimp Egg Fu Yung, egg roll and fried rice. I ordered Szechuan Beef with the same accompaniments. Meal came fairly quickly. My husband was delicious because I tasted it. Nice big shrimps, full of veggies, cooked with the gravy on the side. Found this a nice touch since most places we go, typically it's practically swimming in gravy. Two very nice size Fu Yungs. My beef was cooked nicely, had just the right amount of spice. The egg rolls were crispy and tasty and the rice was not anemic.....it looked like fried rice should. We had plenty of food. We both took some home and I had the rest of mine for lunch today. I'm not sure where people are eating these days when they are complaining about prices. I thought the prices were fair. Everything has went up from food, wages to rental prices. Lee's will go on my list of Chinese places I like and if we are in the area, we will enjoy a dine in experience once again. Food was BLAND. I had the egg drop soup which weirdly had corn, and still was flavorless, and cold. I also had chicken chow mein--BLAND. Pepper steak did have some flavor but was not impressive. Maybe they used some dollar store "chop suey sauce" not sure. Really disappointed in this meal. I'm trying to improve it with some condiments we have at home. I ordered take out while I was working in the area. I ordered a pint of vegetable lo mein and a small wgg drop soup. Upon arrival I requested a plate as I would be eating in my car. They were super accommodating and actually had paper plates handy under the counter. I loved the lomein and ate it all! When it came time to eat the soup I realized I was never provided a spoon. The staff is nice, but the food is not good at all. I ordered a chicken and steak hibachi dinner. When I opened the container, what I saw was steak cubes and small pieces of breaded chicken. Yes, I ordered a chicken and steak hibachi dinner and what I got was cubes of hard steak and chicken nuggets. I also ordered the wonton soup. The soup tastes like it had metal in it. When I bit into the wonton the mushy inside was unlike anything I've ever tasted. This was my first time ordering food from Lee Szechuan and I will not return. My friend told me she the best sushi place of her life in Millersville, MD. I live in Arlington, VA and thought "yeah right"... But she's my buddy, so I drove an hour to meet her out there. Well let me tell you... she was right. The ambiance was charming, and so was the staff. Our waitress was gracious, funny, and attentive. And I can't rave enough about the sushi.. it was a favor and texture explosion in every bite!! Lee's was found one weekend while we were browsing Door Dash for Chinese food. We learned quickly that they had a vast selection of foods while browsing their menu. We settled on Shrimp Egg Foo Young, Shrimp Fried Rice, Singapore rice noodles, and 2 sushi rolls, The Volcano & The Spider. As you can see from the pix, everything arrived at our door packaged and displayed neatly. They remembered condiments and chopsticks and it was delivered in less than 45 mins. To add to that, the food was hot and yummy. Even the leftovers the next day were impressively satisfying. P.S. We ordered during the pandemic & it was a contactless delivery via Door Dash, who showed the delivery driver as the restaurant. I recommend them for your next Chinese food craving. read more

My Ex-Wife's nephew taught me a new word last year before our severance. This word was "bussin". I was unfamiliar with this term as it seems to be a part of the new generations street-vernacular. From my understanding it is used to describe something exquisite, fine, and worthy of the highest praise. Lee's Szechaun is Bussin . I do not write these reviews with a mere singular experience, I would not dish out 5 Stars so easily. Lee's Szechuan on the other-hand, would easily dish out 5 star meals regardless of what item off of their menu you pick. As Humans, we all share in one thing. A Life made up of experiences Good and Bad. Recently, I have been seemingly cursed with experiences best described as bad. A chipped tooth, The shower head in my Guest Bathroom has broken, Seeing someone once close to me change their relationship status on FaceBook, and most recently missing trash day. After a long day of traveling home, we were wiped and looking to order in. Our normal Chinese place no longer delivered, so we went in search of a new place. My wife read lots of positive reviews for lee's and decided to give them a try. The quality of the food was ok. Not bad, but not great either. Everything was presented nice and neat. My major complaints are with the amount of food and price. We received about half what we would at any other place. Worse yet, the price was 2 to 3 times higher than other places. If the quality was there MAYBE it would have been worth the extra cost and small portions, but with what we were given, it fell way short. This will be our first and last attempt eating here sadly. read more

Delicious! Good vegan Chinese takeout is hard to find in this area & this sesame tofu might be my favorite. It's crispy & not horribly sweet. I knew Yelp would have the answer for me. It seems this place is under new management. Which was obvious to me I stopped by on a whim after visiting the UPS Store on my lunch break today. I ordered the roast pork. Which was padded with strings of veggies. I've never had roast pork prepared that way but if it.tasted good I could look past it. Unfortunately, it was tough and fatty. I've been here twice now: once dining in, once for takeout. Overall a pretty average place. Pros: Food is prepared FAST, there are some incredibly CHEAP dishes, especially the lunch specials. When I got two rolls of sushi, a salad, and a bowl of soup for about $8, that was a steal. It is a very beautiful space; very pleasant to dine in. Cons: I've had better Chinese takeout. The spring rolls were extremely greasy. I mean, greasy is to be expected for Chinese takeout in America, but this was a bit much. Even beyond that, it's not bad; it's just not super great either, ya know? The spicy tuna was also a little odd in that it was just a tuna roll with a big slather of spicy sauce on top. Overall, if you want cheap, filling, and service with a smile, this is a good place to go. If you're looking to be super impressed, then you might want to look elsewhere. read more

For 12 dollars one entree, with soup, and egg roll. The soup and egg roll were okay. But !!! The Entree Shrimp egg foo young, tasted extremely extremely extremely salty with a burnt taste also. I drove back to the restaurant, letting the lady know, the shrimp egg foo young tasted extremely salty, and burnt. She told me this is the way we make our shrimp egg foo young here. Lucky Saturday night find. We were welcomed in and sat at a nice booth quickly. We seemed to be the only patrons dining in on this cold wintry night. We got a pot of green tea, spring rolls, egg drop soup and various entrees. The food was really fresh and tasty. Crunchy veggies and good quality proteins. Overall excellent value especially with such hearty portions. Really good selection of items to select from on the menu. There are even a number of desserts and mixed drinks available. The only reason I didn't give Lee's 5 stars was because our server could have been a little more attentive. If only she had addressed the spilled tea, and made the effort to check in to see if we needed anything else. But overall very good. read more

Our reservation was at 7:00, we did not even get our drinks until 7:20, and we had to specifically ask a waiter to bring us drinks, no one actually came to take our order. Despite placing our meal order a little after 7:20, when we got our drinks, it was not until 8:00 that 1 of the entrees was brought out, it was not until 8:15 that the other entrees were brought out. I love being surprised by restaurants. From the outside, I was not expecting much- it looks like any other Chinese take-out place. But when you walk in the door, you can't help but say "Oh, wow!" It's nicely decorated inside, with plenty of sit-down tables, lighted fountains, and Asian-inspired décor. We were seated and served quickly, and our water glasses were never empty. We ordered the tofu vegetable soup to start, and the server poured our first bowls for us, in a homestyle fashion. It reminded me of the soup my Grandmother-in-law makes in her Chinese-American home. It had all kinds of vegetables and plenty of tofu slices. There was enough for my husband and I to have two bowls each. The entrees were big as well, and should probably also be shared homestyle. My husband had some sort of Szechuan beef plate with green peppers, and I had the "healthy" steamed shrimp and vegetables with Szechuan sauce. My entrée was served fresh in a bamboo steamer basket for presentation. We both left with about 2 more servings worth of leftovers! At first, I thought the price on their menu was a little expensive; but considering the amount of food we got, I think it was worth it. And the server brought us each a littler scoop of ice cream when we were finished! The only reason I took off a star was because one of the shrimp was not properly cleaned. I found a bit of guts in the basket, which threw off my appetite a little. But it was only the one instance. Everything else was great. I love lees!!! I have eaten here once a week since I found out about this place. They have a great sushi bar and friendly staff! They have been closed for the last few months but they have remodeled and gotten a new kitchen setup. I am so happy they are back up and running! They have a great menu with a ton of options, also you must check up their specials menu they have great items that aren't found in the standard menu, like crab meat fried rice, oh my my my is that good rice... I don't know why this place has such great reviews, it's a pretty mediocre place. I have ordered here a few times because it's so close to my house and they do have great lunch specials that extend into the weekend, but the food isn't all that amazing. Being a vegetarian, my favorite dish is spicy eggplant, but they don't have it here (which I thought was a common veggie Chinese dish, but I guess not). I do like their szechuan string beans, but that's not a very balanced meal. They also have szechuan tofu (bean curd), but that's also not a balanced meal and I don't wanna pay for two meals just to make my meal complete. They have a couple items that include a mixture of vegetables with tofu, but I tried one of them once and it was probably the worst thing I could've ordered on their menu. It was so bland and I've never ordered it again. Their eggrolls are also pretty bland and just full of cabbage and no flavor. They are very big, but don't let that fool you. That saying, "less is more," definitely should be applied here. They also typically contain shrimp, so you gotta specify if you want a veggie egg roll. Even then, I ordered veggie once and still got the shrimp one. I'm still pretty pissed about that because I had a few bites before I realized that the fishy taste was shrimp. They fill it with so much cabbage you can hardly see it, but I was finally able to spot it and felt disgusting afterwards. I'm sure a lot of you are thinking, "well I can't base my opinion on this place over a vegetarian's review," so to ease your mind, my boyfriend is a huge meat eater and also agrees that this place is mediocre, at best. I've even suggested we eat here a few times since and he absolutely does not want to. If I were to eat here again, the only things I'd look forward to is the hot and sour soup (best thing on their menu hands down) and the string beans. Otherwise, everything else sucks. read more
