The customer service here was patient not rushing to choose something, very kind, accommodating . The food is waay better than the Flaming Cajun across the way. I say that because flaming Cajun chicken is dry and chewy most pieces . The samples I had were of the bourbon chicken, Cajun spicy chicken . It is hard to find good Chinese food in this area. This place is a hidden gem. Down to the picture menus on the board, you can tell this place is authentic. It was my first time, so I wasn't sure what to expect. But there was a consistent flow of customers in and out, and the doordash bell kept ringing, so I knew it had to be good. I ordered shrimp and broccoli, crab rangoons, and chicken noodle soup. All were delicious. It reminded me of being back in NYC where Chinese food is a staple. Do not expect much regarding the ambiance. It is takeout for a reason. My rating is based solely off the customer service i experienced and the dishes I tried. I live in Eastport and this is to for Chinese food. Vegetables are fresh sauces are delicious and proteins are good too. It's not bad, not bad at all. Ordered take out based on Yelp reviews and glad we gave China Wok a try. It's so hard to find decent Chinese food around Annapolis. Some dishes I would pass like the steamed dumplings, the wonton were just too thick and Bland. The winning dishes were beef Szechuan, mai fun noodles were light and flavorful, reminded me of pancit noodles. The egg rolls and fried rice were great. Beef Szechuan was half the container with fried rice filling the other half. Same with the lo Meir noodles. I prefer one entire container filled with the dish we ordered. Some of my food purchases are the Gen Tso (my favorite), chicken chow Mein, chicken Lo Mein, Shrimp meals (for my son & cousin), just to name a few. We have never had a bad meal nor missed items. Like an idiot, I went to this place again. I ordered 5 wings with fries. I told them to put Mumbo sauce on the fries and wings, they said that CAN'T do that. They have to put it on the side. I go to pick up the food and they give me. Small container of Mumbo sauce. I asked them how am I supposed to eat 5 wings and fries with 1 sauce. I asked the "Can I get more sauce?" They told me what I got was enough. I said, "Seriously? Ok, well can I by some containers of sauce." They told me what I received is enough, and that the container holds more than it looks. This is one of them small clear cups with lids you find next to ketchup dispensers in many places. I again was dumbfounded. So I said, " so you won't give me any more sauce and you won't sell me more either?" And after 5 minutes she broke down and sold me some. In hindsight I should have never bought them, they do. It taste like mumbo sauce. It tastes like folks who don't know what it supposed to taste like selling a product to an area that doesn't know what's it supposed to taste like. Long story short, they don't do this DMV delight any justice. If you want real carry out, get it from PG county/DC. Hate the fact that there is no good carry outs in Annapolis. This place is a joke. I like this place. Simple as that. The food is always good and fresh (before the plague, you could watch the cooks preparing your meal). I've lived in Annapolis for 17 years and have not found another Chinese restaurant that approaches China Wok in terms of quality or price. A favorite of mine is the wonton soup -- two big reasons. First, the wontons are big and cooked al dente. Never a soft, soggy wrapper. Second, they make it with real chicken stock. You can see little circles of chicken fat floating on top of the soup. You don't get that out of a bouillon cube. Everything else comes piping hot and in generous servings. And their wings are excellent too ... not exactly Chinese fare, but good, crispy and pretty darn big. Service is fast too, especially if you phone in your order. And it's just great to have China Wok open and serving quality take-out food during COVID time. read more

This use to be my go to spot for carryout Chinese food but the food quality and service has become so consistently bad that I felt compelled to warn others. It appears the restaurant is under new management and the service and quality of food are markedly worse. I would turn a blind eye if it had been one time but my last three orders have all been botched. In order of history, my first order they gave me a small instead of large wonton soup and I had to wait 50 minutes for my order to be completed. Granted it was a Sunday night but that just seems excessive for 3 entrees. My second order the chicken teriyaki skewers were so over cooked they were like jerky. My most recent order from 5/3/2021, they gave me one order of spring rolls instead of the two orders of egg rolls I requested, (they forgot the second order of egg rolls) and there were at most 8 small shrimp in the large shrimp fried rice and to make matters worse the rice was Sahara dry. The worst part, when I complained to the guy on the register about my priors orders I couldn't tell if he was completely indifferent or could not understand me because all he did was nod and ask me if I had previously complained before brushing me to take the next phone call. I like the Tso chicken, however, one time I had bones in the Tso , I started to order white meat since then and I have not had the same issue since , the white meat Tso always looks fresh, the normal one looks a bit too dark. I have ordered food from here before, its ok. Yesterday I had fried chicken wings and wonton soup. The chicken had a funny taste to it, I ate some of it but not all. Within 1 hour I was violently sick, throwing up. I went in today, told the lady at the counter, she did not believe me. All I wanted was a refund of $8 and an apology. She told me to bring in the food and she would show it to Sams Club where they purchase all tbe chicken. I told her maybe it was the soup. The last 4 times I have ordered I wasn't happy with their service. First order- They gave me fried rice with mixed meat. I ordered veggie because I don't eat me. Second order- there was a piece of chicken in my tofu. I don't eat meat. Third- I order over the phone and they didn't have my order correct when they got there. I even repeated myself 3 times. They put in a extra egg roll I didn't want. Fourth - (6/21/18) they gave me pork fried rice and I ordered vegetable fried rice.
