I stopped in here thinking maybe I would eat in. Ordered soup and 2 egg rolls at the counter sat down at a very dirty table to wait. She bagged everything up so I guess they are only take out. Only $8, so that was nice. Brought it home, soup is big, at least 2 servings, pretty good, basic, no chives or pepper. Egg rolls we're vegetarian like I asked but very skimpy; just cabbage and very little of it. May go back to try a dish but probably won't get egg rolls there again. "Best" local Chinese food in the surrounding areas. I base about 50% of the review on fried rice, which theirs was superb. Proteins (general too, orange chx, sweet n sour chx, crispy beef) have always been good, and overall service time for takeout has always been less than it takes to drive there (15/20 min). Ordered takeout for early lunch on a Saturday after noticing this spot one night dining next door. Will not be returning. Even compared with the subpar Chinese food options around here this was bad. Orange Chicken had a sauce sweeter than pure honey with no hint of orange. Or red pepper. Or ginger. Or garlic. Think lots of crunchy breading covered in thick pancake syrup. Dumplings were doughy and unpleasantly burnt on the bottom. Sauce tasted only of soy. Egg roll had the same filling and equal problems with a thick chewy wrapper. Fried rice was oddly, uniformly brown and greasy with little of interest added. Chose Hong Kong over Ming's Cafe because they have cold sesame noodles on the menu. Sadly these had lots of noodles but not even enough sauce to coat half of them. And they would be so much better with more slivered fresh vegetables and sesame seeds. Pluses include nice folks, convenient location, good prices, no styrofoam, and plenty of fresh crisp broccoli. Nevertheless I can't recommend it to anyone who likes the pungent flavors of Chinese cuisine. read more

Orange chicken was over sweet, like tons of sugar. Fried rice had grease and who knows what else in it. Very disappointed. Tried to call and complain. No speak English. Counter woman was friendly enough and atmosphere is typical Chinese takeout. No where on sign, menu, or window does it say that you have to spend at least $10 if you are using a debit card or credit card. I just wanted a large fried rice, figured no one could butcher this dish. This rice doesn't even come close to the others I have had in any state or country that I ordered this dish. Rice was greasy, mushy, very little pork, even less bean sprouts and onion. Lots of soy sauce. I won't be back. Had to buy something to make the $10 to use my debit card and then they ask for tip....uh....no. I can't speak for the other dishes but I don't think I want to risk it given this basic Chinese staple was so bad. It's nothing fancy, just a little walk-up place in a strip mall. So don't expect the fine decor and well-dressed staff that you'd find in nice Asian restaurants. But the food is really pretty good, and the staff are always friendly. Prices are reasonable, $8 for orange chicken, and portions are a good size. Before I started going to Hong Kong I went to another Chinese restaurant, which I had been going to for years. I was hesitant to try this new place because I like to stick to what I know. A friend suggested that I try going to Hong Kong and getting their General Tso Chicken. It was the best I have ever had. The woman who works at the counter is super nice and helpful and remembers the people who come into her restaurant. Just beware the General Tso uses a lot of sugar so diabetics should be aware. Their is an option to get less sugar than they put in, just let her know over the phone or when you walk in to order. I would definitely recommend going here if you are looking for a reasonably priced lunch or dinner, or are new to the area and looking for a Chinese restaurant to go to. read more

Terrible food, some of the dishes were not even edible. I don't review much but if I save someone from a terrible experience, I hope I can. Ordered three dishes, one was totally inedible and had to be brought back, one was OK, and the other was barely edible. I asked for all white meat chicken on all three, only one had white meat. The Kung pao chicken was the worst of all three. It was basically nothing but onion, celery and carrots in a bland, flavorless sauce.
