We love to support our local businesses and waited patiently for the reopening. The new remodel is beautiful and the food is good. Sadly the customer experience is lacking and I left feeling like my business didn't matter. I ordered a glass of wine and 1/4 through it saw a fly in my glass. I told our server; who apologized and retrieved me another glass of wine which was a pour that matched what I had left in the fly wine. After we finished we had a young man come by to clear and asked if he was the manager on duty to which he replied "sort of". I let him know about our experience and again received an apology. I guess I didn't think I should pay for the wine but I did and left a 20% tip. Times have sure changed from my days as a server where something like this would have gone to a manager immediately with a follow up to the customer. 1 read more

We just took a chance on his place. We almost didn't go in, but I'm glad we did. The food was great. The shrimp gondola was amazing. Our waitress, Kinsey, recommended it. First for us, you're getting 2 stars because we did actually get everything we ordered, for the most part. This is the first time I ordered a salad, and actually got a salad. It was the wrong size, and when you brought it back, it was the same side in a bigger bowl. Golly, thank you. The kids chicken tenders were good, the Wife got a (weak) salad, with crispy chicken. My biggest complaint is with the salads themselves. A chef salad is not lettuce. It is lettuce and stuff. The 1 salad tomato, 3 think slices of cucumber, and 2 peperoncinis do not make a salad, especially for $9. You need to up your game on the salads. And believe it or not, when people order Angel hair, they want Angel hair pasta. Not just whatever pasta you happen to have. Or spaghetti as the default and I hope the customer does not complain. I'm tired of going to restaurants, ordering what i want and paying, too much, for what i get. In the way staff needs to make a little effort, visiting each table, every time they come on the floor. This is our third time trying Anthony's since they reopened...food service is pretty horrible. Tonight-Mother's day, we did not have reservations, but we were willing to be very patient. We came in around 7:30 PM and ordered our food knowing it was gonna take about 50 minutes.. our appetizer came out 40 minutes later, followed by our food about 10 minutes after that. Only two of the orders were correct out of three. When we asked how long it would take for the third entrée on the double check by the waiter it was gonna take 25 more minutes. Um, no thank you! How can you mix up fettuccine Bolognese with fettuccine Mediterraneo? I used to really love this place. I understand they just reopened and trying to figure things out. We first went the week they opened. The manager? I think? Was arguing with the kitchen people. I watched a costumer walk out after getting their food. I ordered a steak medium rare and it was a hockey puck and it took 45 minutes to get. But we went back. Second time was just as awful. Third time shame on me- I ordered my old favorite the bistro salad. Medium rare. Same thing it was hard as a rock. My son got the Mac and cheese and it was like soup they poured over Kraft Mac and cheese. Like they made the Kraft and then poured a bunch of heavy cream on it. I was really rooting for this place to come back and really do well but whoever is in the kitchen needs to go. read more

I've been here several times now since my last review and now I'm a much bigger fan, specifically when you dine in (the food portions are larger and all the staff members are super nice and friendly). From the outside, it doesn't look like it'd be that nice inside, but they did a good job remodeling and it looks very clean every time we go there. I believe they took over the restaurant in 2019 (it used to be called Giuseppe's and it wasn't good). It's modern, nicely decorated, and let me mention clean again. Every time you walk in, the people behind the counter happily greet you, and then when you leave they also all thank you and wish you a nice day. I feel so welcomed every time we walk in, it just seems like such a happy place (or the staff is trained very well anyway). The gnocchi sorentina is still my favorite, but I've also tried their pizza and garlic knots and both are very good. I'm picky with pizza because I'm a huge crust fan and they have nice soft, not too huge, but also not thin crust. I will say, though, their toppings are chopped on the bigger side so it can be a little heavy on the pizza causing it to be a little floppy when you pick it up. I always see the same waiters when I go and I can't express enough how much I like them all! The first waiter to have ever made a mark on me was Moy. He was so attentive and we've been there enough times he recognizes us when we come now. That first time we had him I told him I'd write a great review about him and this is long overdue. If you're reading this, Moy, you're my favorite waiter and I want to be friends! Haha. The other super friendly, attentive waiter I really like is Eyelin. She recognizes us too when we come. There are more wait staff I really like, but those are the only names I remember right now who I see regularly. We did have a new girl named Madi today and she was extremely friendly and bubbly. I never once saw her without a smile on her face. The other thing my husband loves about this place is that they make Moscow mules in copper mugs and he said that's the only true way to make it. He's disappointed when we go to restaurants where they serve them in regular glasses. Not to mention they're also quite tasty here. It's always pretty crowded when we come for dinner, but we've only had to wait to be seated once (and we've been at least 10 times) and it was only like 5-10 minutes. The ONLY reason this place is getting two whole stars is because their white pizza is actually good and garlicky. Everything else in our $150 pickup order was pretty awful. The most insulting was the $6 kids "Italian" Mac and cheese. See the photo...a SCOOP of Kraft macaroni. Are you kidding me? Most restaurants will mention in the description that it's Kraft. When your menu says ITALIAN mac and is $6 you think Gorgonzola and bread crumbs maybe? Kraft Mac and cheese was not what I expected to see. How embarrassing to serve that. Other items purchased were Greek salads (nice) but the house dressing is NOT good. An eggplant dish was said to be "okay." The Hawaiian pizza was "okay." The person who ordered wings was happy. I have been doing my best at trying all of the local places that I have not tried yet. Anthony's was on my list so I placed an order over the phone the other night for pick up. I ordered the bruschetta as an appetizer. It was tasty but it was a mess by the time I drove it home a few minutes. By the look of it, it looks like I took it on a rough ride which I did not. I ordered the chicken arugula with whole wheat pasta. I really enjoyed my meal and would definitely get it again. There were a few other chicken pasta dishes that I want to try. The garlic knots were rather large and super delicious. The butter and garlic flavor was throughout and not just brushed on top. My husband ordered the shrimp and scallops asparagus pasta. It was definitely lacking seafood. It only had a couple shrimp and one and a half scallops. He said the flavor was good but was extremely disappointed in the portion compared to the price. Pick up was pretty easy for me because I ordered in advance. The girl working the register had no idea what was going on and was totally discombobulated. Too many people had their hands in what was going on and they confused the heck out of her. The worst part of it all...the parking! Well I should say the LACK of parking. I had to illegally park in the 711 parking lot. Not sure what I would have done if I was dining in. Once you pull all the way into the lot it hits a dead end. I was craving spaghetti and meatballs and a friend recommended this place. Talk about a great recommendation! We got two pizzas: cheese (for the kids) and The Godfather. I got the spaghetti and meatballs. We also got carrot cake, tiramisu and cannoli. The kids like the pizza so that's high praise right there. Picky little buggers. The guys enjoyed The Godfather a lot. I deliberately didn't eat all the spaghetti even though I could have. The meatballs were tender and flavorful. We will be back. read more

Update - I've had more good experiences than not. Today the side was missing from my order and I did not care for the chicken parmigiana. Sauce was bland and since the side was missing, $14 was a bit much for subpar chicken parm. Cream of crab soup was great. So good! First time having Anthony's and everything was great! We ordered through DoorDash; the food traveled well - cheesesteak was not soggy at all, wings were piping hot, and other meals still looked presentable upon arrival. Cream of Crab soup wasn't heavy with meat but it had a great flavor. Husband said chicken cheesesteak was good, kids meal was an awesome portion for a 10 year old, and the grilled chicken popeye was really good as a lighter option. The menu seems really dynamic and has something for everyone. Maybe we will go visit when the world is back to normal and check out the wine bar portion of the establishment. 5/5 read more

This place is the definition of a hidden gem! I found this place randomly through door dash, and have to say it is my new favorite restaurant for pizza, subs, and salads. You can tell the owners took the time to create the right dough, and find the right bread for subs. Its all fantastic and I highly recommend this place. It's really good comfort food. read more

The service was good and my drink was good. I was surprised at how large the menu was and how many "Asian" and American dishes were on the menu. I ordered the penne vodka with chicken. They might have just been having an off night but it wasn't edible. The pasta was overcooked, the vegetables were all mushy and the thick vodka sauce just made the whole dish even mushier. The food wasnt hot enough when it came to the table. My boyfriend ordered a steak with asparagus and baked potato. We have never eaten in this restaurant but we get carry out often. I love that they have a carry out special on Monday for cheese pizzas. It makes my Monday a little less awful. Hubby and I often split a cheesesteak meal. It comes with a salad or fries and the portion seriously feeds two adults. We were super hesitant about ordering from here, but the reviews have been pretty decent since getting new owners. I am a pizza SNOB...lemme tell you, this pizza was pretty legit. Our food took almost 2 hours for 4 ppl because apparently the waitress "forgot" to send the order through. Not once visited by a manager. We live close by and this was our first and last time here. This place is getting worse and worse every time I go there. 4 times this month I have called an order in for carry out and all four times it's been wrong when I get there. So I have to wait for them to remake it. I've tried several times to eat in as well. Wait staff isn't great, they hardly ever come to check on you and take forever to just to come take your order. While waiting for them to remake the order, the front cashiers are cussing and laughing at the customers. I am very disappointed in this place. I placed an order online twice through (Grubhub) and the orders never seem to go through but they always end up charging my credit card. When I go to the restaurant, they tell me they never received the online orders and that I should wait so they can prepare my food. There's a reason why I place an order 30 minutes in advance because I don't have the luxury to wait another 30 minutes once I get there to have my order ready since I have a limited lunch break from work. My significant other & myself decided to give this place a try because it was fairly close to our house . We try to try new places at least 2-3 times a week. The food came and we were underwhelmed . We order a Philly cheesesteak, two pastas one regular with broccoli the other with chicken and crab dip. First thing is NONE of the food had ANY seasoning at all. It tasted very bland & watered down. The pasta was okay we had to season it ourselves. The chicken seemed like rotisserie chicken and it didn't seem like it was cooked with the noodles or sauce just places on top. Crab dip was good wish it has more crab meat in it I like lumps of crab in my dip personally. Also wish chips were a option instead of the bread. The cheesesteak was pretty good after you season to your liking. Over all it wasn't too good but not terrible. I suggest seasoning the food a little or providing some salt & pepper packets in the bag. If we could give half rating I would give them a 2.5 but they delivered fast & on time so i will give 3 stars. read more

I usually would rate this place a 3 star from all the carry out orders I've picked up from this place. I've had some good Italian pasta dinners from here but this past weekend for lunch/brunch was horrible. Sat inside for the third time overall with my family. We mostly ordered brunch items off their brunch menu. I ordered cream chip beef with pancakes and my kids both got kids egg meals. My cream chip beef was not like the traditional style you'd get from any diner or restaurant I've ever had. Had hardly any chipped beef in it at all, mostly just cream sauce. The menu said on white toast and mine came over hard dry biscuits. My pancakes were horribly dry and grainy like corn muffin mix. Even with syrup, the pancakes were still bad. My kids meals came with pancakes and theirs was all the same dry grainy type. Their eggs were greasy and you could taste the frying pan they were cooked in. Along with this, the waitress was barely seen when needed. Seemed like there was 1 waitress for the whole dining room. When we couldn't find her one time, she was sitting over in the corner eating some food while 6+ tables needed attention. The food took forever to come out for some simple breakfast brunch items and 2 other tables were already complaining about their wait as well.
