    Strawberry and peach sangria

Wow, I don't even want to do the math. I've been coming here since I was 15 The quality of the food is still the same as I remember. It was even packed on a weekday for lunch. It does have tons of seating, but I do miss the days where they had cozy booths. Now it's just tables. This place has a private parking lot that it doesn't share with other businesses. Our server, Kevin was great. He Told us his recommendations and asked if we had any questions about the menu, what was popular and etc. Even asked if we wanted to put some drink orders in. I think the menu is great. They have a great selection, they have great cocktails and don't get me started on their salad and breadsticks (blows Olive Garden out of the water, obviously) And the prices were amazing Kevin was extremely attentive and we ordered immediately. He was also great at refilling our breadsticks, salad and water My dad ordered the fettuccine Alfredo 5/5 stars And I ordered the tortellini with vodka sauce 5/5 The portions are HUGE, which is always a plus for me. Also, the pasta came with tons of sauce which I love extra sauce. The breadsticks came in handy for that. All the pasta sauce here tastes so fresh and homemade Our food actually came out in less than 10 minutes. We weren't even finished with our first round of salad and breadsticks. Which, in my book, the faster the better. For our drinks, which came out VERY fast as well. My dad had the - peach sangria And I had the - strawberry sangria They also have a good happy hour. So we will have to come back for that. They even have a bar. When we walked past the bar area they had a couple games on the TV The ambiance was actually pretty cozy. I love the color scheme, I love seeing all the racks of wine and everything was extremely clean. I also like how even though the place is pretty big it gives off an intimate vibe. It's your typical cute Italian bistro. You can dress up or you can be casual Again, 5 stars for Kevin, he was amazing and everything came out extremely fast, he was knowledgeable and whenever we asked him for something he never once acted as if we were a bother. This is a staple for every time I visit my father and we will definitely be back and hopefully get Kevin again as our server. As for dessert, they did have a dessert case that we passed when we were leaving. We didn't bother looking at the dessert menu (Kevin did offer a dessert menu and asked if we wanted to put in a dessert order) but we already had plans later for dessert. But everything looked amazing. 5 Stars for service 5 stars for ambiance 5 stars for value 5 stars for portion 5 stars for taste

They charge a 3% surcharge to use a debit or credit card. So we unfortunately spend less because we don't always have enough cash on hand. As you enter and head towards the host stand to the left, you see this incredibly beautiful bar. The seating is very comfortable and not too close together. And you can catch a game here. But we came here for a good meal and we were not disappointed. This was my 3rd time here and it's always a joy. Our food was delivered promptly and our service was accurate and pleasant. The shared salad bowl is excellent. Give this place a try. You won't regret it.

I picked up my good friend from the airport on a monday, and we stopped at Olive Tree for drinks. Happy hour runs until 7pm which worked great since her flight was delayed and we arrived around 6:15 pm. We found seats at the bar right away which was nice. The bar is big and the place has a friendly family vibe. The whole restaurant has been remodeled and it looks great. The food was just as good as I remembered from before the pandemic. The service wasn't great but the food, drinks and company made up for it. If nearby definitely give it a try.

Breakfast really hit the spot this morning. The chicken was well seasoned, and the waffle were fluffy not doughy. The service was good. I have no complaints. The ambiance was very elegant, clean, with dim lighting.

10/10, over the top service. Our server Angel was the best. Our buddy Zack went to him and requested "uppies" he promptly picked him up and than proceeded to spoon feed him pasta. Would recommend.

This is my second visit! Absolutely amazing food. Sippy and Lisa made my visit extremely personal. They had great recommendations and the food was extraordinary! Not to mention the ice cold beer. Thank you for the great experience. I'll be back with my family next visit.

Such a cute spot for girls night out! The girls (3 of us) went out for a random Friday night dinner, and was seated quickly.. along with being served with good service and smiles across the table. The girls really enjoyed the mussels, by far they were the star of the show.

What a little gem! I arrived with a group as soon as they opened at 11am (Saturday). I opted for the brunch chicken and waffles while others in my group had waffles, tater tots, omelettes etc. I loved the chicken and waffles. The waffle was good and it didn't taste like the store bought frozen waffles alot of restaurants use. The chicken portion was huge and it also came with a side of bacon. I ate and half and took the rest to go. For $18, it was one of the best chicken and waffles entrees I have had. Note that they offer bottomless mimosas for $15 with any brunch dish. Food: 10/10 Service: 10/10 Parking: 10/10 dedicated parking lot *great for groups but they DONT split checks

Slow weekday afternoon. The ambience is good, might be cozier in the evening. The food was good, they serve breadsticks and salad complimentary which was nice. The server was polite too. Overall solid 4.5 stars.

It does have a bit of a sports bar vibe going - which is not reflected in the food pricing (which is fine). Our only complaint was they allowed unchaperoned children (4 or 5 around the ages of 8-12ish) to be at a table far removed from their adults (who we later found out were sitting in a completely different room without eyes or ears on their kids). The kids weren't *awful* but they were quite loud, and it would have been more enjoyable had they been reigned in a bit by responsible adults. Overall? The food was good (and worth the price for what we got), the service was excellent, and our only complaint was likely a one off. We enjoyed the food and the company and would for sure return.

We are able to sit where we wanted so we chose the booth! It was comfy and right near the TV. The inside gives quaint and cozy vibes! Our server, Andrew, was attentive and memorized our orders. We started off with bread with an olive oil and balsamic vinaigrette sauce. We looked at it and dived right in. It was delicious! I could have stayed just for that! We moved into apps. Bestie got the oysters that they had a special on and I got the calamari. The oysters were great and you can dip the bread in this sauce as well! The calamari was good, just a little pushing towards crispy for me. Both dipping sauces were good too! Bestie enjoyed their mocktail that was a blueberry mojito. Didn't taste the mint was perfect because we don't like the mint in our drinks. I had a regular lemonade that had me consistently asking for refills! Perfect! Now let's move into our entrees! My best friend had the Risotto Mignon and I had the parpadelle Mediterraneo. Bestie's dinner was ok. The steak could use some seasoning and risotto was ok. I enjoyed my parpadelle dish! Pasta was cooked to perfection. I couldn't finish it all but it was delish. Next time, I would get extra shrimp added to my dish! For dessert, we tried the crème brûlée and I got the carrot cake to go. We also got the chocolate raspberry cheesecake. The crème brûlée was too runny under the sugar. The cheesecake was ok. I did like the carrot cake! That was good! We enjoyed ourselves! Try them out for yourself!

So: I passionately enjoyed my dinner at Mamma Roma. The reason that this is unusual is because I'm…read morenot big on going out for Italian food much at restaurants - other than on holidays - since I eat so much Italian food at home. I can make an exception for more casual Italian meals at only a handful of Italian restaurants, and Mamma Roma's is now one. Growing up partially Italian, and a mix of other ethnicities, my family cooks Italian better, of course, than at any restaurant. No one made better Italian dinners than my Na-na (grandmother). But Momma Roma's hummus cream rigatoni could definitely keep me coming back for more. No one made better meatballs than my Mom but the meatballs at Mamma Roma's are flavorful enough. No one made better sauce than my Aunt #1 but the sauce on Momma Roma's ravioli was good and so fresh. And no one made better cookies than my Aunt #2, but Momma Roma's cannolis and rum cookies are tasty. There are a lot of Italian restaurants in the area and I've read that Mamma Roma's is one of, if not, the best. I can only say that while my first visit here a decade ago was fine, this visit goes into my memory as "need to get back there, eventually, if not sooner," after delighting in their new menu item: a creamy hummus rigatoni with sausage. I love hummus, though wasn't really sure if the texture of hummus sauce would be too gritty. It was not. It had a lovely, substantial flavor and silky texture that was balanced well by the impeccably-cooked al dente rigatoni. Add to that the garlic, cream, sausage and herbs in this dish and you've got a winner. I highly recommend this rigatoni, of the 3 rigatoni entrees on Mamma Roma's menu. I haven't even tried the other rigatoni dishes, but still ... don't miss this creamy, garlicky hummus dinner. And the portions of rigatoni in this dish were very generous. The presentation of the lasagna was impressive, in layering and shape. I only had a bite. It had a nice flavor, but I would have needed more bites to give a better description. And since it wasn't my order, I could not indulge. The portion was generous. Also, I would never order lasagna from any restaurant given the reasons cited earlier, but this one was good. I hope someone is laughing because anyone who has grown up in a subcultural group in the US usually sounds exactly like me about the home-cooking they grew up on. Another of Mamma Roma's menu items I'd like to try is their corn and arugula white pizza. I've only found one lovely corn pizza ever at Zelo's in an LA suburb, so now that I have seen this on their menu my curiosity is piqued. Love love love the variety of the dessert menu options. It's not just the desserts in the case on display that you can order. While there are gorgeous cookies on display, the dessert menu has a long, lovely list of all kinds of variations of cheesecakes and cakes. I would like to try the lemon cake on a return visit. And more of the cookie flavors! When I asked the barista what the top desserts were, he was quick to name the cannoli as a first. You'd probably be surprised to find out that this is a counter service approach: you order and pay up at the front and the waiter brings you your food and whatever else you need. You get your own fountain drinks or tea with ice. You can tip in advance, in good faith, when you order in the beginning or you can leave cash on the table at the end of the meal, having already paid your bill in the beginning. There is also the charming dessert counter/bar and espresso area that I mentioned earlier. So, when you are finished with your lunch or dinner, you can go to the barista's counter and order dessert and cappuccino. I love that if you order cake or a cannoli, a cappuccino is only $2. This is an awesome value especially for the evening crowd. For old school Anne Arundel county and Annapolis locals, Mamma Roma's is better than the original Squisito's pizza -- and higher in quality -- but it is a bit reminiscent of that restaurant in terms of popularity and a family feel. Plus, I have never tried the pizza here, but I'm guessing it's good given the quality of the ingredients and preparations we experienced with the pasta dishes. One thing that also really stands out about Mamma Roma's is that they are the only Italian restaurant that is nestled back in the suburban Piney Orchard division of Gambrills. In other words, it's more neighborly there vs. other restaurants along the majorly-trafficked Route 3 corridor. The restaurants along Route 3 have many more transients coming in, given the ease of access, so they are naturally less neighborly. Finally, when we brought our leftovers from dinner home I set them on the kitchen table and left them for a bit. When I came back into our kitchen, it was filled with such delicious aromas! Friends, this is just how fresh the food at Mamma Roma's is. For a casual, counter service suburban, it is quite bellissima!
