Great mom and pop owned pizza spot where the service is friendly and pizza is fresh. We came in on a Saturday evening because we wanted to take a little drive and try out a new spot and this place did not disappoint. Service at the counter was excellent. The young lady made sure to answer any questions we had and was very polite. We also ate in so our food was brought right to our table as it was ready. Food came out hot and fresh. We ordered two pizzas and both came out piping hot, cheese melting. They were delicious. Crust was perfectly baked. I would have like a little more sauce on my bacon ranch pizza but that's just preference and can't hold that against them. The restaurant was very clean as well. I stopped in the other night to pick up food to go after calling in my order. I ordered the chicken parmesan which came with a side salad. My husband ordered a pepperoni pizza. To share we got onion rings and wings. The wings were good and the onion rings were awesome. We are a big fan of onion rings and this was one place that has the good ones! The chicken parm came with the sauce on the side. I have never seen that before but it worked and was no big deal. My husband really enjoyed his pizza. We have ordered from Gourmet before but need to more often since it is delicious and super close to home. The gentleman who helped me upon arrival was very friendly and welcoming. First off, I love that this is a small, family owned business! We're always greeted with a smile and feel like we're genuinely being taken care of. We've had the pleasure of trying both their Taco pizza and Chili dog pizza (the taco has been our go to). Both are absolutely delicious! I would get the chili dog without mustard next time only because I found it a little overpowering, but that's a personal preference. I'm not kidding when I say my husband and I want to sample all of their pizza creations! We've also gotten the chicken cheesesteaks, mozzarella sticks and mac n cheese bites. We weren't blown away by the cheesesteaks, but they were still pretty good. For the price we were expecting a little more. They were still tasty enough that we'd still like to give their other cheesesteaks a try. I highly recommend the mac n cheese bites - I'm so glad I ended up trying them out! Gourmet Pizza & Subs is one of THE BEST local pizza places. The staff is wonderful and super friendly! And don't even get me started about the pizza. I am a very picky person when it comes to cheese and let me say, the cheese used here goes amazingly with the delicious sauce and crisp crust. Gourmet Pizza also has other items such as subs, salads, and more! I've never been good with having a favorite of anything. This usually makes me have multiple #1's in my lists of top things. Gourmet Pizza is one of those #1's on my pizza list. Having pizza is good but it's better with friends and family. I've only had Gourmet Pizza twice; once in the establishment and today at home. I'm going to try my hardest to get something new each time, but hard not to come back to the cheesesteak, buffalo chicken pizza (which is not listed on menu) or the famous taco pizza. The steak on the cheesesteak is high quality meat. They aren't super packed like I like, but its enough and the quality oversees that. The buffalo chicken pizza is probably the best I've had don't forget side of ranch!!! Lastley,The taco pizza is something, once you have it, you'll crave it! My gf introduced me to Gourmet Pizza and boy, am I glad she did! The owners are AMAZING, as is the whole staff. Family is very important here-they're closed every Sunday and Monday and they take off two weeks in the summer for vacation (yes, they close down for two weeks! You know you''re doing something right if your able to do that!) Their menu is HUGE. Seriously, anything and everything from really good pizza and strombolis, to any kind of sandwich and sub, to quesadillas, appetizers and other crazy things. Everything is really good- basically a step above what you'd expect from a carryout. You can eat in or take-out and we've done both. My gf has a plastic customer appreciation card that they scan and every once in a while, it gives her a discount. First time ordering from Gourmet Pizza and I was quite impressed in the quality of the pie in addition to the customer service which is phenomenal. I tried to go here when I first moved down to the Beach 4 years ago and felt it was a bit chaotic and unorganized. I hadn't called ahead and there was a line yet people who had called ahead walked right up to the front cutting in front of everyone and I didn't really care for that seeing there was no signage or anything. But it was just me and the little guy looking for some good carry out pizza and wanted to try something new. I wanted to give this place another chance and glad I did. I'm guessing it was the owners who were at the counter, no line this time, though several families were inside eating. They were very friendly and talked highly of my little guy and interacted with him which I really liked even though he's 2, it's easy to miss the little ones and the woman behind the counter even asked me if he could have a lollipop which I said of course and we saved for after dinner. Restaurant is very clean and boasts itself as the home of the "Taco Pizza" with numerous choices of gourmet style pizzas. They also pride their hand made dough which was chewy and cooked perfectly and reminded me of childhood as did the interior of the restaurant. It was all very nostalgic and gives a feeling from the food to the atmosphere that takes me back to the late 80s early 90s when I was a kid- in a good way not in an old outdated way. Half cheese, half bacon and were talking real bacon! Thick, crispy, crunchy, salty REAL bacon- not that crumbled, questionable stuff, the real thing. Cheese was ooey-gooey, and didn't slide off on the ride home. Sauce was more on the tangy, slightly acidic end with small pieces of tomato which I truly enjoyed... Didn't taste like canned sauce. Even passed the cold pizza - day after test- this morning which some places can't do either. They're dine in or carry out only, no delivery, closed Sunday and Monday, and the pie was almost $17 dollars which I thought was a little on the high end. But given its family owned and only open 5 days a week I can understand the cost but it may be a once and awhile kind of place but I'd love to go back and try that Taco Pizza.
