Ordered a cheese pizza which was perfect. Also a meatball sub with fires. Not even close. I'd give the sandwich a 3 and the fries a -1. What happened to freshly made meatballs. These looked exactly like frozen meatballs from a bag. Premade. As for the fries...I don't expect takeout to be hot. Warm would be nice. Our favorite weekend pizza spot! We have dined in and done takeout here many times. By far, the Parma pizza is our favorite but we've also had salads, mozzarella sticks, and regular cheese pizzas for the kids. We love the wings too! The inside seating is perfect for families and is low key enough to come in sweats or after a kid's sports game. We have always had pretty quick service when dining in. I highly recommend! read more

We've been going to this place since it first opened and I always get the same sub. Tonight I was very disappointed in the quality. Their meatballs used to be bigger and seemed homemade, but now they are smaller and taste less like beef and more like frozen pork meatballs and they come with less fries. The quality is definitely going downhill. Next time we'll get Chinese. read more

Now in the past it was ok since I was so use to great pizza in NJ and NY especially Pizza from Bruno's in Clifton, noted in the top 75 nationally. Ordered a round pie and Sicilian. We stopped by for lunch this week as we were in the area and we weren't disappointed. I got the prosciutto and mozzarella sub and my husband got the chicken parm sub. Both came with a filling portion and house made fries. We ordered to go at noon and it was ready in 15 minutes, which was great considering everything was super fresh. My sandwich was fantastic. The mozzarella was fresh and soft and the salt content was perfectly balanced. My husband loved his sandwich as well. Will be ordering it again! read more

Bottom Line: A family friendly, very casual Italian restaurant that offers both New York style and Detroit style pizza. Typically when it comes to pizza my husband and I opt for a thin crust, New York style pizza. But on a cold Saturday night we were craving something hotter and heartier so we did a little research on where we could get a thick, deep, pan style pizza and we found that Spizzico offers a Detroit style pizza. Spizzico describes their Detroit style pizza as "pan-baked thick, chewy crust & crispy cheese edges." Spizzico does not take orders for these heavyweight pizzas on Mondays or Fridays after 4pm and the restaurant is closed on Tuesdays so that will save my waistline a bit. Also, if ordering a Detroit style pizza be prepared to wait a little longer because with it being so thick it takes a while to bake. We were quoted 35 minutes for our pizza on a Saturday evening but when we arrived at the restraint we had to wait about 10 more minutes and then our pizza was only luke-warm so that had me wondering if it was ready when we arrived but it got set to the side. Anyway, it was good on Saturday night an debated even better when reheated on Sunday so we'll be back for more. Spizzico Italian Kitchen is located in the Bay Day Shopping Center. The restaurant is very casual and seems to be popular among families. Overall, its a nice little local spot. read more

I need to know how long the yeast has developed/ proofed, the quality of the water, the freshness of the cheese if you have Buffalo mozzarella or not and the crunch to Bubble/cheese/ ratio to crust. That said... Spizzico will be my to go pizza spot from now on. I'm sold off the one slice; went back in to order a large pie, just off one bite off my friends veggie slice!!' Understand this: best snap decision made. Ive had pizza in Naples and infamous debated joints in NYC! So I'm particular. They have a wide selection of menu options for dine-in or take/out, including all the usual fare, ziti, eggplant Parm, seafood pasta, mussels- and then some unexpected classics! You can also get subs, wings, fries and deserts. This took me back to my home pizzeria in the Bronx! I'll be back for sure & look fwd to trying other things on the menu. The food is good and even on busy Fridays in lent, it's fairly quick. As someone who like crisp crusts I'd say that the pizza could afford to be cooked a little longer. It always seems a little better the next day after a few minutes in the toaster. I haven't eaten in the dining area but they have a fair amount of seating if you choose to dine-in. read more

I wasn't expecting a whole lot, as Arnold is not exactly a destination for most people, and the location is a bit out of the way. I was just going for convenience. I was pleasantly surprised at the variety when I looked at the menu...I couldn't decide so my party ended up ordering the ravioli Gorgonzola, gnocchi Gorgonzola, chicken Marsala, and the penne sausage and rabe. When the food came out we were just wowed. Everything was delicious...as good, if not better than, Italian restaurants where I live (which are easily twice the price). This was the WORST pizza I've ever had. That's saying a lot because pizza is a mainstay of my diet. School cafeterias, truck stops, cheap frozen pizza--never one as bad as this. It was basically tomato juice on crust with a few dollops of mozzarella. It was soupy with sweet sauce that slid off the dough when I picked up a slice. I wish I was exaggerating. To add insult to injury, I had to pay for the pizza--tip included--before it was brought to my table. The waiter was nice enough, but the owner/manager who took the order (and my money) was rude, with the charm of a housefly. DO NOT EAT AT THIS PLACE. The pizza is good! The pasta dishes are good too. When they first opened, the amount of food in the dishes were pitiful and expensive but they quickly learned to provide more food and lowered the prices. It's a great place to eat with families, but due to COVID it is take out only for now. The one complaint I have is that instead of taking your name for the phone orders and assign you a number. If you forget this number, they will have trouble figuring out what your order is and then give you stink eye. Seriously?! We are busy and frankly I do t take the time to notate this random number they give you. They should just take your name like every other restaurant does. At the very least, they shouldn't give patrons an attitude because they want to use a random number for your order. read more

Tried this spot out because I love that it's local and want to support local businesses. I just thought it was undercooked, not enough cheese and honestly lacked flavor.
