Loved this pizza. It wasn't my NY pizza but It was pretty darn good and better than the other local pizzerias! We got plain and a pep. Both awesome. It's a drive from Annapolis, and they can only handle so many orders and your likely to have to wait for It, but go ahead. I dare you to try It. They were super friendly and there's two sauce. One is sweeter. I preferred the kore savory. But that's just me. Good size, well priced for quality. I'll be back. Oh and when you order you are given a time window, do not try to go in early!!!

Pretty good. Reminds me of great pizza when I was a kid. The only thing I didn't like was allowing people without masks in the store, which was weird because they take great precautions because you cannot go in the store and you must call in. Maybe is was just today. Overall, pretty good.

Pepperoni and eggplant in all its glory at Angelina's

My review of this wonderful family owned pizza shop is long overdue but so well deserved. But, I write it with a heavy heart as my family will be leaving the area and Angelina's will be far out of reach. Our history with Angelina's started one rainy night. We had just relocated from another state. We were in need of pizza and we wanted to avoid your usual chain pizza. Angelina's popped up on Yelp with a few polarizing reviews. Still, I sent the husband out into the rain. He came back with piping hot pizza and three years later we are still hooked. I am writing this review post three slices (always pepperoni with eggplant, sweet Amy's style) and half a chocolate chip cookie . I always get a quizzical look from folks when I recommend pizza with eggplant and pepperoni but trust that this combination is delicious. Angelina's pizzas are always perfectly made with the right combination of sauce, cheese, toppings and dough. The crust is always a perfectly golden with the perfect bite and chew. The Sweet Amy sauce seems to be hit or miss but we love it. The regular red sauce is also very good. For dessert, their chocolate chip cookies are orgasmic especially when fresh out of the over. Their cannolis are also a delight. To top things off, they are very friendly and thoughtful. When they found out that my husband was deploying, they had the crew leave notes of well wishes on a sheet of brown paper and attached it to the pizza box. We still have that pizza box sized note and it will be a treasured memory of our time in Maryland. Little touches like that mean so much. Their establishment is truly such a positive asset to the community. TDLR? Angelina's is a complete win! Recommend the pepperoni and eggplant, Sweet Amy's style, chocolate chip cookies and cannolis.

A rather good Italian Cold Cut Sandwich on a hard roll. I prefer an Italian Soft Roll but this is a good sandwich. Asked for an extra bit of oregano, no mayo, oil and vinegar instead. They have a dressing they use instead of oil and vinegar and it is pretty good. The owner threw in a mini apple pie tart which was pretty cool, and tasty. Definitely going to be going back.

We wanted to sample the flavors to see if it met my standards. Yes I am a home cook but skills are more than average. We ordered the Meatballs, Sausage, and Salmon Ravioli small plates. Without knowing the owner when I passed him he made sure to say hello. We sat at the bar were Lee was our server. Let me start with Lee then I will get onto the plates. Lee was one of the most attentive bartender/servers I have met. He ranked right up there with many I know and those that know me that's extensive. He made excellent suggestions, told us all the pasta was homemade. Described the dishes on the regular menu. Simply delightful to talk to. He started to bring out our dining selections. First up was the fried calamari. I forgot to take a picture but the crunchiness first hit your bite but then the tenderness of the calamari took over. The dipping sauce had a pleasant bite to it. Excellent pairing. Never got to the bed of greens. He then served the salmon ravioli. It may be football season but Chef Canales hit it outta da park ! The dough was light, the filling was divine, and the sauce was velvety to the palate. Next came the meatballs over garlic mashed potatoes embedded in a tomato basil sauce. Cut them in three to enjoy the subtlety of sliding your fork through all the flavors! There is a thing in the restaurant business called the Wow factor! Right there, right there, right there. Finally the two slices pork sausage came out over garlic mashed times three with streaming balsamic glaze! Again I sliced the sausage in half to drag the fork across those flavors mixing them together before putting them to the palate test. When I go Oh Yeah you know it's an experience. The pasta is fresh made every morning! We are definitely going back as the Fettucine Bolognese will be my next selection ! Che buono Chef!

Ambiance: Modern and sassy, but can be loud. I'd say it has a very energetic vibe. Not very intimate because of the, sometimes boisterous, patronage. There is a new dress code, but I didn't see it being enforced on a few. Not somewhere to have a quiet refined dinner, at least on a Saturday. However, there is outside seating, which actually is a little more relaxed, if the weather is cooperative. App steak rolls: These are always a hit when going here. Sadly I think these are going away because the new owners want a more authentic Italian restaurant. Steaks: We ordered 3 10 oz filets. 2 were cooked perfectly, the third was very rare in the center when all of them were supposed to be medium. Part of me thinks the back got the order wrong somehow, because the two others were perfect. Very strange. Truffle Fries: Very yummy, although to me, I felt it needed a tad bit more salt, but there is salt on the table as needed. I would definitely order these fries again.

We sat outside and loved the atmosphere. The fire torches gave it such a warm, romantic feel that we honestly forgot we were in the middle of Annapolis. Perfect for date night. I also appreciate that this is one of those rare places where you can dress up if you're feeling fancy, or go more casual and still fit right in. Service was attentive and welcoming without being overbearing--always a plus. If we're back in the area, we'll definitely be returning (and yes, for more pasta).

The bar was loud and lively around happy hour, while the patio was much quieter and gave us a more relaxed place to enjoy dinner. I wasn't very familiar with the Italian wines, so I asked our waiter for a recommendation. He brought me a sample before I ordered a full glass, which was a thoughtful touch. His recommendation was excellent. My partner ordered the Pineapple Tiki Old Fashioned and she loved it. The filet mignon sliders were delicious. My Black Linguine Arrabbiata had a little spicy kick and was very good, with calamari, clams, mussels, crab meat, and spicy marinara. The one disappointment was the tiramisu, which neither of us cared for. Our waiter was helpful and attentive throughout the meal without making us feel rushed. Between the food, thoughtful service, and comfortable outdoor seating, we had a very enjoyable evening. The lively interior is a good option if you want more energy, but the patio was perfect for a quieter meal in the beautiful weather. We'd happily return, but we'd probably choose a different dessert next time.

The feta chunks neither added nor detracted from the dish. A dollop of mascarpone or ricotta would have given it an even richer, meltier finish. Heck even a whipped feta would've added more depth. The blend of meats was outstanding with a pleasant kick of spice, while the mellow, flavorful marinara had a thinner consistency that made it perfect for crostini dipping. Lobster RavioliThe sauce was unquestionably the star of the show. The pasta tasted homemade with a wonderful texture. Unfortunately, the lobster seemed either overcooked or not at its freshest, as it had a noticeable fishy flavor and a chewy texture. The fresh lump crab, however, made for an excellent garnish and added a bright, sweet contrast. Smoked Pineapple Rum Old FashionedThe pineapple-infused rum came through nicely, giving the cocktail great flavor. The smoke, however, was much more subtle than I expected. I knew it had been smoked because the bartender presented it with a plastic smoking device over the glass. I was anticipating the more dramatic wood-smoke presentation under a glass dome that I'm accustomed to. It was also missing the classic Luxardo or maraschino cherry garnish, and without any garnish at all, it felt like it was missing that final finishing touch. OverallWhile it didn't quite reach Feed My Soul status, everything was genuinely good. An added bonus is that it's within walking distance of Maryland Hall, making it a perfect stop before or after a show. ServiceFriendly staff and impressively fast service. The food arrived much quicker than expected.
