Great brick oven style pizza. Parking can be a little tough at the West St location.

Outstanding Pizza. I lived in Italy for almost 5 years and this is the closest to taste the same as a real Italian dish.

She screamed at me "Can you step away from the counter. People have to pay for the pizzas." Interestingly, I was the only one in the shop. Sometime later I was doing laundry a few doors down when a gentleman walked in stating he was told to never return. Why? He asks for a sub with no mayonnaise. When walking in asking if she would scrape off the mayo, she did and tossed it back saying to never come back. One last personal situation, 2 years ago my cousin Nelson walked in after a phone standing further towards the back around the rest rooms. Mary Jo uttered, "You can't be back in that area" in a loud arrogant tone of voice at which time Nelson walked towards the front of the store saying nothing. While paying for his pizza Nelson ask what was the problem when she flat out retuned his money and kept the pizza. Even more interesting than all of this is the numerous amounts of people that have been ask to never return and have no idea how she stays in business. And the rules: no phone order before 3, can't stand beyond a certain point, one menu for the entire public, its nuts. No amount of abuse is worth walking out with a pizza from this pace, please believe. Thank you, Gregg Reckart.

When I walked in, the guy working was sitting at the front counter and looked genuinely disappointed that he had to get up. I figured maybe that was just a rough moment and it would pass once I greeted him and asked if their lasagna was made in house. Instead, I got a smirk, a fake smile, and a quick "yes." Encouraged by that glowing endorsement, I ordered the in-house made lasagna and a medium cheese pizza. Once I got home, I took two bites of the lasagna and couldn't tell if it was actually made in house with absolutely no seasoning whatsoever, or if it was pulled straight from a freezer and reheated. Either way, it was impressively bland. The pizza wasn't much better. It was light on sauce, light on flavor, and required me to add my own spices just to make it taste like something. For $29 for lasagna and a medium cheese pizza, I expected at least one of the two items to have some flavor. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. Needless to say, I won't be returning.

I don't care about them being busy I paid out $60.51, for an incomplete delivery order. Bad way of doing business. I did receive a refund on missing sub. It's supposed to be a wine bar, I guess, and the wine is their main focus, though they are also apparently well known for their pizzas. Despite it being busy, we were seated pretty quickly in the back area, and were served quickly. Our waitress was great, and offered a lot of good drink and food suggestions. I love the way the wine is broken down. They've got three categories, which are snarky grouping by price. I am drawing a blank on the names of the categories, and they're not on the website, so .... they were something like, "Wallet Friendly Wines," "I can splurge a little," and "Money is no object to wine!" Theirs were probably better and more creative -- dock me one star as a reviewer for not remembering. :) The wines were good. I tried two different ones, including an unusual "orange" wine, which is a white wine left to contact the skins. It was a little fruitier than I usually like in a white wine, but it was good still. The food for me was where it fell down. I ordered a charcuterie plate, which was honestly kind of skimpy for the price. I also got a burrata, which is served with "harissa roasted carrots." The harissa was incredibly spice forward, and... burrata is a delicious, but delicate cheese. The carrots and harissa basically contaminated it and overpowered it. They might as well have dipped it in coriander and cumin. That's fine if you want to eat coriander and cumin, but not if you want burrata. My pizza was the biggest let down. It's a "rustic" style pizza, but it frankly translates to "poorly made." It's a good size, roughly oval pizza, with very thin, crispy crust. Like a giant cracker. It's then cut into 16 pieces (give or take, don't quote me). Some of those pieces had /nothing/ on them. Like, just crust. No cheese. No sauce. No toppings. Others had just sauce. I'm not a big fan of pizza, but when I eat it, I expect every piece to have sauce, cheese, and toppings on it... if I wanted to eat just crust, I'd just ask for a pile of aperitif crackers. Great atmosphere, good drinks, fair price, but ... terrible food. If I lived nearby, I'd stop by for a drink now and again, but I wouldn't eat there.

They have a lovely outdoor patio space that was covered with space heaters for the winter, and I can only imagine how great it will be in the summer. The service was great throughout. I wanted to make sure I got a wine that paired well with our meal so the server recommended I order the wine after the food so she could give me a recommendation. We ordered a charcuterie board, glazed carrots with burrata, and the spotted pig pizza. The server recommended a Sangiovese to pair, and it was an excellent choice. It tasted really good with everything. The charcuterie board was good but honestly a little skimpy on the bread and apples so not every bite was evenly distributed. I enjoyed the burrata - it was a really interesting mix of Italian and Indian/Middle Eastern flavors that was unique and different. The pizza was also good but like the charcuterie board, the toppings were not evenly distributed so there were some bites with everything, and some bites that only had sauce or cheese. It is thin crust so if you do not like thin crust, you may not be a fan. I am a thin crust fan, so I enjoyed it overall!
