I'm only giving this 3 stars because I've always been impressed with the quality of service the staff of young people provide. But this review is all about the quality of the pizza served at Ledo's. I have been eating Ledo's pizza for more than 50 years - no exaggeration! And one of the biggest draws for me has always been the sauce! This is the 4th time in a row I have purchased a medium Ledo's pizza in Edgewater and could barely taste the sauce ... and couldn't taste it all at all on most slices! WHAT THE HECK has happened to Ledo's great pizza with a taste that's kept so many customers returning for generations? Come on Guys ... Get it together! Once, a mistake ... Twice ... Hmmm ... Love Ledo's - at least 3 times this has happened to my order. I place the order on the app. I order a "large salad dressing" for $2.99. Every time I do this they give me an extra side of dressing. The small cup. That comes with the salad that clearly costs $0.99. They claim that this is the extra that I order. Yet, it's not what I paid for. Asia could see that it was just me with a little one and offered for me to wait in the car with him and she would bring the order out to me. Heart warming service from this staff. Decided to give Ledos a try tonight for our anniversary...with kids. Service was great, food was better than I've had here before. Ice cream shop on location to bribe your kids to eat dinner. Don't forget to watch the planes take off while you're there. Nice family spot. I think we'll be back! Very good food. Fast service and clean. Ledos pizza is unique. It's square, the tomato sauce is slightly sweet and well seasoned.

Ledo's is pretty good - won't blow you away but is a solid little local restaurant if you just want something affordable and tasty. We recently went there and got the fried ravioli, the mozz sticks, and a white pizza. The ravioli and mozz sticks tasted a bit like what you could buy in the grocery store, but with some extra spices on them that made them pretty tasty. The pizza was small and relatively light (and not what I would call a white pizza), but again it had a nice taste. They also serve beer and have a big seating area with servers that are friendly, so it's a good place to just grab an easy bite to eat with a beer. read more

We have been going To this location since they opened. Had not been there in a while and decided to stop by for early dinner.I had a meat lovers calzone. I bit down on 3 small bones which was in the sausage. I should have sent it back. I showed her the 3 bone chips. She said nothing and went to tell the cook.She told me that the cook said the only bones they had was in the chicken wings.That was it. Place hires hippies from the scooby-doo gang, they never get my order right. I asked for a cheesesteak with green peppers and grilled onion, no mayo. They asked "Do you want cheese on that?" and then belched into the phone. When the order arrives they sent me a loaf of bread soaked in pickle brine with a pH level so high it turned off my pacemaker. They put tomatoes and raw onions on the thing, who eats that? Forgot the green peppers too. I could have used the sheer acid dripping off of it to melt through a bank vault and I still wouldn't heist enough money to cover the meal cost. read more

I love Ledo's pizza and wings. I usually go to Crofton but they did not have indoor dining during Corona Virus so we came to this location. The food was great but the service was lacking. The waitress must have been inexperienced or not trained . She brought an appetizer and no plates. When we asked for plates, she brought 2, there were 3 of us. My daughter ordered a root beer first and she brought it 10 minutes later and brought mine and my grandsons within a minute. We also had to send a drink back because it had a big piece of paper in it. Regardless, the food was still good. The food gets 5 stars, the service gets 2. read more

As much as we enjoy LEDOs, this is the second time we've had a less than stellar pick up order. We ordered a gyro combo with fries and a drink and a salad. Ledo Pizza is the official pizza of the Maryland Terps! Any pizza endorsed by fighting turtles sounds like my kind of pizza (thank you Donatello, Leonardo, Raphael, Michaelangelo). My party-of-four ordered pasta, the large Ledo's Deluxe pizza, and a pitcher of Goose Island IPA. The pizza was rectangular and had a thin, cracker-like crust. Overall it was very satisfying. Pasta portions were large enough for two people of average appetites to split. The pitcher was a good bargain at $17, which comes to about $4.25 for 4 short pints. Our server was a young gal, but friendly and competent. If we had any issues, she was quick to offer a solution - bringing some extra pasta sauce for one of the pickier members of my party. Great value! Small pizza, calzone, sandwich, or pasta entree for under $10. Dine-in atmosphere of a much pricier restaurant. Good service by local high schoolers. Thin crust, square pizza with flavorful sauce and choice of many toppings. I enjoyed my own combination of meatball, spinach, and red onion. We also liked the buffalo chicken calzone with a crisp and fresh crust. Side salad was small and fresh. I look forward to trying the diverse menu. No hostess, seat yourself. Nice dining area, not like a cheap take-out only place. Take-out counter is in a separate area and entrance, which reduces dining noise. TV, large booths, smaller tables. Many local families. We moved here from California and everyone told us Wawa and Ledo is the shit. We are here to talk about Ledo though, so let's. I do not for the life of me understand the sweet sauce. Everything else about it is delicious. The crust, the cheese, the size of the pepperoni (smaller=quicker cook=crispy)... their pasta dishes are good too. I feel guilty for giving 4 stars, because there is not a bad thing to say about their food. I guess because someone just says "it's wonderful" we should all run down there and try it out and become a regular customer. Man - why even bother Yelping with reviews this esoteric??? Ok - here's an actual review of Ledo Edgewater and I'm going to review their new breakfast on weekends only right now. Edgewater is hurting for decent variety when it comes to breakfast. Your choices are fast food (Arby's, BK, McDs, Chick-Fil-A). Then there's Sue's Deli, Wharfside, and Friendly's. That's about it. On the weekends you have Yellowfin Champagne Brunch and now Ledo's on Rt. 2. I've been trying to get my schedule to be friendly to trying out Ledo's breakfast as the menu looked promising and today I FINALLY was able to get in there. I walked in around 9am and there were maybe 3 tables seated and only 1 server and a manager working the floor. It was also REALLY hot - the AC was either not working or hadn't been turned on yet that morning. The menu IS promising; they have nearly every breakfast meat you would want including scrapple. A large variety of omelet options and creamed chipped beef which they tout as 'signature'. Chipped beef isn't one of my favorite things for breakfast so I didn't go that route. Since I was reviewing the place I ordered my usual test breakfast; corned beef hash & eggs. Most egg breakfasts come with a meat and a 'side' (but oddly no toast/muffin/bread option). So after ordering coffee and water I asked for 3 eggs poached light with corned beef hash. I had to add another meat to this which is a little weird but I went with it and added scrapple. Other 'sides' include grits (and for 60c more cheddar grits) and hash browns as well as fruit. I opted for the cheddar grits as that is done poorly more often than properly. Unfortunately my server really wasn't paying attention or couldn't keep up with me - I had to repeat my entire order again... Things went downhill fast when it was clear I was overhearing a language barrier problem in the kitchen and apparently the kitchen staff didn't speak any English and the wait staff didn't speak Spanish (shocker). The problem was I ordered poached eggs light (which is the only way I like my eggs) and the kitchen staff had no clue what that was. I let it ride since this was a review for yelp. About 10 minutes later my young server comes out with a plate of corned beef hash, a slice of scrapple and a separate plate of scrambled eggs (there were scrambled eggs on my main plate too). He explained the kitchen was still working on my poached eggs. Ok - I'll keep riding this for the sake of the review. Problem was I don't even EAT scrambled eggs much less I didn't order them. Horrible waste of food and gesture... Another 10 minutes and I finally ask if there was a problem. Yes I'm told - the kitchen doesn't know how to do poached eggs (are you telling me I'm the FIRST person to order this here? REALLY?!??!) and the manager was working with them to get it done. I said over easy at this point would be fine as I was quickly becoming late for an appointment now... A couple minutes later the poached eggs appeared - one of which was hard as a rock - the other 2 were close to poached light. I took it since I was 1) hungry and 2) running late. So once I got the food I actually ordered it was 'ok' or even 'A-ok' in general although my eggs were not done per my request. Also note the 'side' of cheese grits is more like a 1/2 lb portion - more than any one person could ever eat. Another horrid waste of food - and something that might eat into the breakfast shift profit margins... I'll review Ledo for lunch / dinner separately but don't count on a 5-star one-liner like Donna D. gave you. It will be an actual review. Ledo isn't a bad local chain - it's better than most and better than big chains like Pizza the Hutt for sure... Breakfast will get a mulligan for me because the menu is still promising and we're so limited here in Edgewater. If they can't do poached eggs they should say so on the menu or hire freakin cooks that speak English and know what the heck Breakfast in America is as well. Management should have comp'd me for something as well this morning but I got nothing but a request to fill out a survey card which I didn't have time to do at that point. 15% tip and I was outta there... Updated review! Jeff, the Owner/Manager? reached out to me and asked if I would like to return. He was very generous and provided my husband and I with a free dinner and some other coupons. Very nice. We ate here last night and had a MUCH, MUCH better experience. Our waiter, Zach, was very nice and attentive. All the other employees were great and I didn't see anyone distracted from their duties. Tables were bused quickly and everyone in the restaurant was taken care of. I had a cheese pizza which tasted like the Ledo's pizza I know and love! Very warm and full of flavor. My husband had some cheese fries with bacon which he loved- I sampled as well and they were great. During our wait, someone brought around a sample of a new pizza. I believe it had bacon and roasted tomatoes on it. It was delicious and I can't wait to see it on the menu. All in all, it was a great night. I think things here have improved tremendously! We were running out of take-out options in Edgewater so we decided to try Maryland's "beloved" pizza place, Ledo's. Instead of the usual pie, we were looking to try their calzone or stromboli. Well when I asked if I could "customize" my boli, the order taker said no. Ok, that means they were pre-made. Bummer. So I ordered the veggie calzone with sausage, and my husband ordered a ham, sausage and mushroom one. The guy taking the order was super friendly, we paid and then went to run an errand. When I picked up the boxes to go, I was quite amazed at the heft of them. I wondered what the heck did they put in those things? When we got home, I opened my box and said holy s**t, it's a frickin square pizza folded in half. Now some young lad with the munchies might think he struck gold, but I was not impressed. I took a bite, and immediately decided that I was making myself dinner that night. It was a mess, the dough was bland, the sauce sugary sweet, and the veggies way too crunchy and unappealing. Canned mushrooms too? Say no more. My experience with true calzones has been completely different. I didn't realize until it was too late that Ledo calls them an inside out pizza. Let's just call a spade a spade shall we? It's your square pizza folded. That's it. The Italian Market makes a decent one, crescent shaped, with ricotta and ham. Sauce on the side, not INSIDE and on the side. Anyway, my husband decided to go ahead with his, although he changed out the side of Ledo sauce with some San Marzano pizza sauce I had in the fridge. In the end, he said it was ok but he would never order it again. I just smiled as I slurped my pancetta/parmesan cream sauced pasta. A friend of mine highly recommended Ledo's Pizza so I decided to give them a shot. This was my first time trying them out. Came into the business and it looked like it was ran by a group of teens. No eye contact, no welcome for about 5 minutes. Food is pretty good, but staffing or what not can be worked on a little bit more. Pricing on some items are reasonable but still feel that it's a bit high. Ordered a couple pizzas, calzone, Stromboli and bill came out to be $70 or so. I was shocked that it cost that much. The consistency of the pizza wasn't so great. One pizza would be good, the other one was a bit dry with not enough sauce. Would come here again but not as often as I would thought. read more

Ordered to pick up two pizzas. The pizzas were very greasy, and one of them leaked trough the box, staining the car seat. Called the place, and the assistant manager who call himself as "Junior" said the problem was not the restaurant, but have to call the corporate company to make a formal complain about the boxes - Junior said that in very sarcastic way... ridiculous. I believe Junior thinks he is very smart, and treats paying customers with demeanor of a person who does not really care. I will talk to Carmen, the assistant manager, and see what can be done... because Junior does not solve anything, but only gives greasy pizzas. read more

I called in my order for a veggie pizza, light onions and a ckn salad. When my husband came home, he had a pepperoni and pepper pizza (which I cannot eat) and two regular salads. The name on the order? Cunningham. When they asked for the name on the order, he said our last name...which is NOT Cunningham (which wasn't even spelled correctly) Then when I phoned to complain, the girl actually tried to make it out to be our fault!! She quickly said we show you the pizza before ringing it up. My husband had no idea what I ordered and didn't even recall them showing him, although they might have. When I asked her what happened..she claimed they didn't even have anything under our last name So why did they pull Cunningham's??
