I really dislike giving such a low review, but after half a dozen visits, the two stars is no fluke. We wanted to like this place, hence the repeat visits. First off, the pizza sauce is ridiculasly sweet. It doesn't even come close to a proper Italian sauce. So, remembering how sweet the sauce was, on our next visit I ordered the lasagna. The SAME sauce is used on the lasagna as on the pizza! Seriously? The stuff has two ingredients, tomato paste and sugar. Additionally, even though the cheese on top was melted, inside the lasagna was not hot. It wasn't cold, it was warmer then warm when it should have been hot. Dead giveaway that it was nuked. Next visit tried the ravioli. Again, the SAME sauce! One can only deduce that they are not capable of matching a sauce to a pasta and use the same sickly sweet sauce for EVERYTHING. The wife ordered a side of meat sauce and it came out in a little container. Warm not hot. Are you getting the picture here? On another visit tried the wings. Guess what? They didn't use the same sauce on the wings. Amazing. The wings here are just ok. Some were nice and plump right along side ones that were "model" wings. You know, skinny, with little meat on the bone. They do have a really nice white zinfandel there though. That brings us to the service. The times we visited we had between just the two of us and a party of 12. It didn't matter how many was in the party, service was flip a coin and hope for a winner. Expect high schoolers or maybe the occasional 18-22 year old. I didn't ask their age, just going on looks and attitude. Last night the wife had the ravioli and ordered meat sauce on the side, yes the same sauce that came out warm above. Not a deal breaker normally, the sauce can be heated up, but the waitress took so long checking back on us that the wife had already finished half her dish lest it get cold. The other waitresses there were having a flirt fest with two young men in the front booth. This is what you get in the way of service: Nice young people with great smiles. Don't expect anything beyond that and you be ok. I don't blame or fault the wait staff at Ledos. That falls squarely on the shoulders of the management. You have to train your people to properly manage a table, if the manager is incapable of this then we know HE wasn't trained and it all flows downhill. As far as the food goes, you shouldn't eat a pizza and then go into diabetic shock from the sugar content. For humanities sake, ease up on the sugar.. read more

I love Ledos pizza and this one does not let me down. Pizza is delicious. We eat here on weekends at the boat. Easy carry out at front entrance. I don't like the rear entrance but food is consistent and good. We did eat in last Saturday and the service was good and food came out fast. Place is dated but clean and service, food, location are good. I know they have specials for spaghetti but have yet to try it. I will soon. Until then stick with the pizza, it's not traditional pizza but it is good. read more

Seems to be run by primarily highschool students. Very personable and friendly. Very knowledgeable on menu and attentative to our needs. I got a buffalo calzone and my husband got a deluxe pizza. Thin crust, fresh, perfect amount of sauce, cheese and toppings for the pizza and large calzone with plenty of cheese, sauce, and toppings inside. Very well made. Higher end appearance for the price. Dining room extremely comfortable and nicely decorated. Wednesdays have calzones and strombolis for $5! A great deal and excellent food. Would highly recommend and definitely go back!! My family and I have been frequenting this Ledo's since 2004 and we love it. It's always clean, the food is consistently good and the servers are friendly and well trained. Although known primarily for their (great) pizza, the appetizers, sandwiches, pasta dishes and calzones/strombolis are wonderful too. The calzones are huge and I would recommend the buffalo chicken baked cheese fries as an appetizer. read more

Ledo's is our neighborhood pizza place. We usually just get the pizza but we've had good luck with other things on the menu, too.The food is good, the dining room is cozy and clean, the prices are very reasonable, the staff is friendly, and we leave satisfied. My husband, my 2 kids and I stopped at the Edgewater, MD location today and spent 40 minutes sitting at our table after ordering and only had iced tea brought out to us. We never got kids' menus and had to ask another waiter for our straws. People around us seemed to get service at the usual pace. After two ladies across from our table, who arrived about 15 minutes later than us, finished up their salad and a sub, our waiter brought their pizza out to them and then turned to us and said: "Your fries should be out shortly". I asked him where our 2 subs and a small pizza were. He laughed and said he would find out. A minute later he returned and, smiling, explained that "the funniest thing happened: at the time you have ordered we got 20 medium pizzas ordered by phone". He was unable to answer my question why people who arrived and ordered the same items 15 minutes after us have received theirs and were almost done eating. To my question when we should expect our food, he smiled and replied "I do not know, it is all half-way to the oven right now." Having spent 40 minutes waiting for our food with hungry kids of 4 and 6 years old, and no prognosis on food delivery whatsoever, I had no choice but to pay for the iced tea and leave. At no point the word "sorry" was uttered and no attempt to resolve the situation was made. I am fairly sure that salads and fries are not made in the oven, but that has never occurred to the waiter. One thing this situation was not to me was "funny" yet the waiter seemed to think it was just that, nothing to worry about. I love Ledo's but this one seems to have occasional quality issues. Two out of three times, I had stale garlic bread with my spaghetti and sausage. Did I mention "stingy"--sounds like corporate Ledo's says one patty of sausage is enough. So my spaghetti was not only missing sausage but also the sauce. I won't be eating here again. read more

For the third week in a row I have tried to order food from Ledo's - kids like it. For the third week in a row they have simply forgotten to make something - I wait while the other food gets cold. I guess I should not feel so bad - I am standing in line with 4 (four - this is not a typo) people with the same issue. Nothing worse than sitting waiting to go home - watching your food get cold. Came in Friday the 29th around 6 pm, to begin with the host seemed clueless. There was about 4 tables and he was staring at the board as if he had no idea where to put us so we asked to sit in the booth right in the front he said yeah I guess. It was about 5 minutes before a server even came over and said hi. Our server Zach wasn't very friendly and didn't seem to care much. He didn't get us any refills and we had to ask the host to grab him for us. We were also given the check while still eating and we had to call him over to get a box. We normally love coming in Friday nights all servers are always very nice and food is always great. As many times as we have come to Edgewater Ledo we have never had such bad overall service. We love coming to Ledo so we will be returning, but if we were to get him again I would request another server. read more

I have eater here a few times and have always been pleased with the food and service. The food is a decent amount. The spaghetti is more than plenty for one and the italian salad is amazing with the house dressing. Every server I have had has been friendly and helpful. I recognize the servers when I go in also. This is a good sign, indicating that the employees like the job and the environment. I will definitely continue to dine in this Ledo location. read more

My husband and I dined here for lunch today. While impressed with the pizza, the service was terribly lacking. No pre-bus was done, leaving our empty appetizer plates in front of us while we ate. We never got asked by our server (Tamara) how our meal was, so it's probably good that it was just fine otherwise we wouldn't have been able to do anything about it. Overall pretty terrible service. I've been to this Ledo's before and it's been fine. Don't think I'll be returning. read more
