    Linguini Amore

First time. It was amazing. I had the Linguini Amore and she had the pappardelle and grilled Caesar salad. Everything was delicious. Zach was polite and attentive to our table. We will be back.

    Grilled Mediterranean octopus...chef's kiss!!!

Nice new edition to the neighborhood. I believe this place has been open for roughly three weeks. It's pretty quaint but the space has been very nicely maximized. There is a small bar area and TV. Not overly decorated, but that was fine. Our server was great. He was very attentive and very eager to make our experience as enjoyable as possible. We got the grilled Mediterranean octopus for our starter. It was served on top of arugula, shaved fennel, and a citrus dressing. Absolutely delicious. The octopus was extremely tender and the peppery bite of the arugula with the light vinaigrette were perfect compliments. Chef's kiss! For our mains I got the Pansotti Ravioli it was filled with crab meat, squid ink infused and came with a vodka cream sauce. Just ok. Pasta was a little more al dente around the edges than I would have expected. The center was soft, so I'm guessing the edges were much thicker. Although it was filled with crab the texture was there, but I didn't get the taste of crab. It wasn't a unpleasant, but just didn't have the flavor of seafood. The vodka sauce was very good. He got the pan seared pork chop with a balsamic reduction. It came with whipped potatoes and spinach. Totally overcooked and dry. However, the reduction was very nice. The ratio of the sides to the protein in my humble opinion weren't equal. Nice sized entree with a dollop of sides. All in all I think this restaurant has great potential. I'm excited to check them out in a few months and brag about their growth.

    Mushroom Risotto with scallops.

Very nice, new local restaurant. I stopped by on a whim and will be back. Wait staff was very attentive and my mushroom risotto with scallops was delicious. Lost a star due to staff discussing weekend plans in the kitchen that I could hear from my table. Music was a bit too loud for my liking but, that's my opinion. Don't let that keep you from giving this new restaurant a try.

Delicious and tender thick cut pork chop with Balsamic reduction.

Great Fresh Italian food, friendly service and indoor and outdoor dining in an all new restaurant. Very nice!!

She screamed at me "Can you step away from the counter. People have to pay for the pizzas." Interestingly, I was the only one in the shop. Sometime later I was doing laundry a few doors down when a gentleman walked in stating he was told to never return. Why? He asks for a sub with no mayonnaise. When walking in asking if she would scrape off the mayo, she did and tossed it back saying to never come back. One last personal situation, 2 years ago my cousin Nelson walked in after a phone standing further towards the back around the rest rooms. Mary Jo uttered, "You can't be back in that area" in a loud arrogant tone of voice at which time Nelson walked towards the front of the store saying nothing. While paying for his pizza Nelson ask what was the problem when she flat out retuned his money and kept the pizza. Even more interesting than all of this is the numerous amounts of people that have been ask to never return and have no idea how she stays in business. And the rules: no phone order before 3, can't stand beyond a certain point, one menu for the entire public, its nuts. No amount of abuse is worth walking out with a pizza from this pace, please believe. Thank you, Gregg Reckart.

This restaurant has changed owners and will soon change names. I have had better experiences here…read morein the past. I guess I caught them on an off night. Ambiance: Modern and sassy, but can be loud. I'd say it has a very energetic vibe. Not very intimate because of the, sometimes boisterous, patronage. There is a new dress code, but I didn't see it being enforced on a few. Not somewhere to have a quiet refined dinner, at least on a Saturday. However, there is outside seating, which actually is a little more relaxed, if the weather is cooperative. App steak rolls: These are always a hit when going here. Sadly I think these are going away because the new owners want a more authentic Italian restaurant. Steaks: We ordered 3 10 oz filets. 2 were cooked perfectly, the third was very rare in the center when all of them were supposed to be medium. Part of me thinks the back got the order wrong somehow, because the two others were perfect. Very strange. Truffle Fries: Very yummy, although to me, I felt it needed a tad bit more salt, but there is salt on the table as needed. I would definitely order these fries again.

We sat outside and loved the atmosphere. The fire torches gave it such a warm, romantic feel that we honestly forgot we were in the middle of Annapolis. Perfect for date night. I also appreciate that this is one of those rare places where you can dress up if you're feeling fancy, or go more casual and still fit right in. Service was attentive and welcoming without being overbearing--always a plus. If we're back in the area, we'll definitely be returning (and yes, for more pasta).

We consulted you, the Yelp Community, for recommendations. You did not disappoint! The restaurant is in a complex with a hotel and other shops in the heart of the town. We parked in a nearby garage (easy) and walked over. We didn't have a reservation, but, fortunately we were able to get a table for 2. Yay! The atmosphere is warm with a sophisticated feel. We were greeted promptly, got drinks and they took our order. First up was a simple, traditional tomato and onion salad, no lettuce, with an oil and herb dressing. This was the only soft note in the meal, mostly because this type of salad needs a tomato with lots of flavor, particularly an acid note to balance the oil. These tomatoes weren't up to that task. It was still very good, just on the bland side, and getting good flavorful tomatoes late in the season can be challenging. Entrees! I got the Pappardelle with Bolognese gravy. Anyone who has read my reviews for a time knows I have a problem with tomato gravy with beef being sold as "bolognese". Pure joy when nicely cooked Al dente noodles showed up smothered in a legit creamy bolognese. Y'all, it was really good. Lys had never experienced Smith Island Cake. Shocking, I know. So we of course got a slice to split after dinner, despite being pretty stuffed. The cake didn't disappoint. It was fudgy (almost like a thick ganache) and moist but not mushy or falling apart. Lys now understands why this is the unofficial dessert of Maryland. Sooooo good. Awesome place. Highly recommend.

I can't help but feel the food has fallen off some since then. The asparagus and bean sides did not wow, and the 2 seafood pastas (one was the special) we got were very bland. The noodles of the lamb ragu were delicious and definitely homemade. The risotto was my favorite dish. Big fan of the beef carpaccio as well. Nothing to complain about with the spinach radicchio ricotta balls. The florentine steak special really needs to be served with flakey salt like their sister restaurant in Italy does. Flawless wine list and cocktails. Still a lovely spot for special occasions!
