We ate there last night before seeing a show next door. My burger and fries were both severely underdone (i.e. almost raw), and I could not eat them. They did take the food off of the check and arranged for us to receive two free drinks at the show, which was a nice gesture. The concerning part was that they called out that I was not the only one having issues with severely underdone food that evening (yikes!). It seems to me like they have a cook/back half staff issue. If we come back for another show at the On Stage venue, we will not be returning here to eat before (or after). read more

The food was 'meh.' The burger was ridiculously tall and had to be cut into pieces in order to be eaten. The salmon sandwich was served on flat bread that became soggy too quickly (recommend asking for it on a bun). All in all, not bad for pricey pub food. The service was dismally slow. We sat for nearly 10 minutes waiting for a server, as did the couple after us who ended up asking staff if they were seated in a section with no server. The food arrived quickly, prompting the server to ask how the food was before we had a chance to taste it. He then disappeared for an extended period forcing me to ask the hostess to track him down - she didn't. Next time I saw the server I asked for the check. It arrived 15 minutes later with a generic apology. Did I mention they were only 2 other tables in use? The extra 15 minutes to pay and leave left me 5 minutes late on the parking meter, adding a $50 fine to the $55 lunch tab for two. If you're adamant about eating at the Ram's Tavern, set your expectations low and leave PLENTY of time, even if it's slow. read more

This is a great brewery, restaurant, bar, concert venue. The food is outstanding. The bar area is great and you can tell the locals hang out here. The restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating. The wait staff was great. You could tell they were busy, but they were just like your friends. The concert venue is wonderful, intimate. Every seet seemed great. Great tavern with concert venue attached. Service is amazing as is ambiance. They give discounts if you make reservation before a show and give free beer after. The happy hour is also great to combine with the discount with half off apps and five dollar beers and other drink deals. We had the Brie Fritters, Tuna Nachos, and Veggie Flatbread as our appetizers and a Cornycado Salad with Salmon and Duck Tacos as our entrees which we loved with all of their house beers, especially the seasonal sour. I attended a very nice team dinner at the Rams Head Tavern on a VERY hot day in Annapolis. Luckily, after is started pouring shortly after we left our hotel for a walk to the restaurant, a free shuttle service showed up out of nowhere and we all caught a ride the rest of the way. The interior of the Rams Head is comfortable pub vibe and probably just about what you would imagine after hearing the name. The food was overall solid to check plus, here were some highlights: The hot crab dip app A blueberry mocktail (don't remember the specific name) The seafood crepes I ordered for dinner The sheperds pie The french fries One other big score was a S'mores sundae shared by a bunch of us. We visited here since they were really dog friendly, according to Bring Fido. We were super disappointed they got rid of their doggy menu, but more so that three requests for water for our pups yielded nothing. I was so disappointed in my meal that I almost told the waiter. I've never done that before, ever. I ordered the crispy duck tacos. They weren't crispy, but the four pieces of duck (two per taco) were soaked in a sickly sweet teriyaki sauce to the point where you couldn't taste duck. The vegetables on the side were also a soggy, soaked mess that tasted only of the teriyaki and slopped on top of rice. Came to Rams Head Tavern for lunch and decided to try the Dynamite Burger with candied bacon and fried jalapenos. Honestly, I wasn't sure what to expect with the fried jalapenos, but I definitely didn't expect an entire fried jalapeno sitting on top of my burger. It wasn't very appetizing, especially since the jalapeno was cold, which was a bit of a letdown. That said, the burger itself was really tasty! It was my sister & I very first time to Rams head on stage & to the restaurant which was located next door. My sister & I purchased BBQ wings, brussels sprouts with gorgonzola cheese and bassamic vinegar, which was amazing, and blackened chicken tacos. The food was good, but the wings kinda lack of seasoning, but it was fried perfectly. The blackened chicken taco was really good. The chipotle sauce gave the taco a little heat. And the gorazola cheese on the brussels sprouts was amazing. I literally wanted to get a takeout order after the concert. The waiter was so welcoming & accommodating telling us about different Items on the menu. Everything just was a really great experience. I highly recommend. read more

Service was very slow then when meal arrived, two bites in I found I had a long black hair in my mouth. If that wasn't bad enough, the chicken was overcooked (the skin was so hard it was inedible) and my meal was supposed to come with Brussels sprouts, but no sign of them on the plate. The waitress did discount my meal and put in an order for a side of Brussel sprouts but sadly they didn't arrive until we were leaving the restaurant! I've had a couple of decent meals of fish and chips here in the past without issue, but this was very disappointing. I went on a weekday for happy hour and surprisingly there was a good number of patrons there. It looks like any regular dive bar and the bar area is pretty decent. The service was a bit slow (or maybe it was cause I sat in the corner near the bar) but the staff kind of forgotten about me a couple of times. Stopped in for dinner on a Tuesday night and it was close to empty. We got a cozy seat next to the fireplace for two and it was kind of romantic! Our server Kaitlyn was amazing and very attentive. The burger was juicy and large and the fries were addictive. The crab cake was paired with fried green tomatoes which lent a nice tangy flavor that paired will with the Cajun remoulade. I almost didn't order it bc of the bleu cheese and bourbon sauce (don't care for bleu cheese) but it did not taste of bleu cheese. Would have been better with queso, but they would not sub. Comes with 3 medium sized pretzel sticks. My son had a kid's pizza and fries. They gave him the fry crumbs from the bottom of the basket. As a fry-lover that, of course, made him sad. I had the Annapoli-taco. I'm still not sure what I think lol. It was good, but the crab dip on bottom was too rich for the taco, needed to be less. I ended up scraping most off of my second taco. My husband had the special Cheesesteak - I believe it was Chipotle Cheddar or something? He said it was good, but couldn't pick it up so ended up not eating the bread. The fries were skin on fries just FYI. But they were decent. Our waitress was kind and fairly attentive. She was just busy and a bit forgetful. Error on check had to be corrected when I noticed mistake. Waitress didn't take much initiative with drink refills, we had to ask for them. It was an $80 meal after tip which is a bit steep for what we got in my opinion. This pub just hit the spot for us. We had just arrived in Annapolis and the guy at the front desk recommend this restaurant. I had a great old fashioned made by Sam the bartender. We then had deviled eggs topped with lump crab meat, bacon and old bay seasoning. They were great. Then - since I was in the mood for more crab I had the single crab cake platter. With fries and cole slaw it is enough for a meal. As expected the crab cake was all crab and nicely seasoned. Would definitely go back. Prices were reasonable also. read more

We made a reservation to eat here before a show at Rams head live and we were seated immediately on a Saturday night. We sat indoors and the service was slow. The server apologized for it taking so long however everything took a long time. Ordering took a long time. Getting our drinks and food took a long time. From the time we ordered to getting our food it was easily nearly 45 minutes. Our food wasn't very warm and the fries were all soggy and cold. At 6 pm on a Saturday night the restaurant wasn't too loud which made it easy to converse with our group of 6. Our entries which were supposed to include avocado did not come with avocados and after multiple requests it never came. Our appetizer arrived with our dinner and we ordered it with our drinks.
