Ordered the fish and chips. In an area of fresh fish, this dish was underwhelming. The 'chips' were wedge potatoes which were each a quarter of a russet potato so felt more like eating a baked potato than fries.

    Great pint!

Order was a baked brie, French onion soup and beef stew. Also a black and tan. The beer was perfectly poured and as expected. The baked brie was about 1/4 wheel served with bread, honey and apples. It was warmed and tasted pretty good. French onion soup was very generic buy not bad. You're probably wondering why this got a 2 star.... the beef stew was extremely lacking. Literally, 5 small pieces of beef, 5 tiny potatoes, 1 tiny carrot and 1 tiny piece of celery in a thin gravy. It was supposed to be (and was priced as) a meal, but it scored about 10% as a soup. I wouldn't have served this to my mother-in-law.

It was ight good ambiance and pretty lowkey but the food was pretty meh. Nothing really special to write home about and I couldn't tell why the Irish Burger was Irish

ABOUT THE AMBIANCE…read more Love the consistent, lively vibe at this Eastport restaurant/bar - seven days a week, it is sure to be clamoring with locals who pull-up by kayak and dingy (a 100-yd walk for the neighborhood dock) or walk in from homes nearby. Davis' is both people and dog friendly, allowing both species to chat it up, socialize and refuel. The outside sports a dozen a so picnic-style tables and a few high tops that bleed into the street. Shade is omnipresent once seated and servers kindly offer up water for your four-legged friends. There's a cozy park with seating just across the street from the hostess stand for those eagerly awaiting a table, right by the community dock. The inside of Davis' Pub is distinctly "bar" - replete with TVs and high tops - though there's a surprisingly large area for table service beyond the often-crowded bar. Don't expect anything slick or shiny here -- a fresh coat of paint may be tough to find. This is an authentic, worn Eastport treasure -- some use it as their comfortable watering hole, others for a cozy meal and a large swath to gather with friends.

Let's start with the wings--crispy, saucy, and downright addictive. These aren't just good bar wings; these are "don't-talk-to-me-until-I'm-done" level wings. The fries? Perfectly seasoned, always hot, and basically a masterclass in bar-side potato engineering. And then there are the nachos... potentially the best in Annapolis. Piled high, layered right, and built to be shared--though you probably won't want to. If there's a nacho hall of fame, these belong in it. The beer selection is next-level. Whether you're chasing something crafty, hoppy, or just a solid classic, the lineup here is as strong as it is satisfying. The service? Top notch. The team is genuinely kind, on point, and makes you feel like a regular whether it's your first visit or your fiftieth. The atmosphere is exactly what you'd hope for--comfortable, laid back, and filled with nods to police and firefighters that remind you this place is built on respect and community. Heroes Pub doesn't just serve great food and drinks--it delivers a place worth coming back to, again and again.

First, I will say that the staff was SUPER welcoming and friendly because I saw nothing but smiles. The staff even offered to open, not one but two, umbrellas for my dog and me (even though the dog didn't "use" the umbrella). I never really had to wait for wait for anything because the staff made sure to check on me...maybe it was because of my handsome doggie. ;) The restaurant has a HUGE menu (I stopped counting after menu item #20), which can be a good or bad thing depending on whom you ask. Some may say a huge menu is great because customers will have a variety of various items. Other may say a huge menu is concerning because the restaurant may not excel at preparing any dish. In addition to the huge food menu, the restaurant has a HUGE cocktail menu filled with multiple varieties of Crushes (BTW, the Orange Crush is Maryland's official cocktail). From my POV, there is NOTHING wrong with a restaurant having an extensive cocktail menu. ;) For my dining pleasure, I went with a bowl of She Crab soup and an oyster po'boy. I thought both dishes were fine for an easy breezy lunch. I was a bit surprised that the She Crab soup was not cream-based, but that's my fault for not reading the menu's description of this dish. From my limited knowledge of the area, Middleton Tavern is a bit of a tourist spot, so I thought the prices were fine in that context. However, nothing seemed super overprice considering the portion sizes.

I am glad we did. First off, looks can be deceiving. Part of the reason I've never come here before is because from outside, it looks like a dodgy sports bar. And while the inside is most definitely for sports fans, with plenty of memorabilia and TVs, imagine my shock when I got a taste of the service, the food, and the overall vibe of the establishment. Our server was a very nice young woman who did a great job of checking on us without coming off as overeager. My brother and I aren't big drinkers, but that didn't dissuade her from not giving us as much attention as other patrons with bigger tabs. I ordered the french dip and my brother got boneless wings tossed in the honey old bay sauce. This is definitely elevated bar food (with great portion sizes to boot): my sandwich had freshly baked bread and came with fresh cut fries and a savory au jus. My brother commented and said his wings tasted like they were battered and fried to order. The prices are moderate -- given the level of service, the taste of the food, and the portions, we definitely felt like we got our money's worth. I'm happy to add this to place to my rotation -- just proof once again that sometimes the best places are the most unassuming!
