We stopped by Frisco Tap House for dinner and had a decent experience overall. The service was fine, nothing great, but not bad either. We were seated quickly, and our server checked in a few times throughout the meal. We ordered a few appetizers to start: the crab dip, fried pickles, and wings; and they were all great. Everything came out hot, flavorful, and well-seasoned. If you come here, the apps are definitely worth it. Plus they served their pickles as chips versus spears, which in my opinion are much better! For my entrée, I went with something simple: grilled chicken with asparagus. Usually, that's a boring choice, but it ended up being one of the better versions I've had. The chicken was cooked perfectly, not dry at all, and had good seasoning. The asparagus still had a little snap to it, which I appreciated. The atmosphere was probably my least favorite part. The dining area felt a bit like a banquet room; it was very open, large, and with fewer tables than you'd expect. It didn't feel as comfortable as you would expect, but it was clean and spacious, so no real complaints there. Representing 2024, F is for Frisco Tap House. Been here a few times for Tuesday night trivia & once a Saturday during the day for trivia semi-finals mostly in 2023. In May 2024, I brought my girlfriend to trivia. In July 2023, I had brought a prior g/f. I've gotten food here a few times, occasionally just a drink, sometimes I just drink water depending on what's going on. I've never been impressed with the food. I got a steak, quesadilla, etc., and nothing is great. One time I was considering getting a burger, and I found out that they had pork in their burgers, which is wrong; I don't eat pork. The only thing that was great was their pretzel, which I had a couple of bites of someone else's on that Saturday trivia semifinals, in which I had plans for my birthday late lunch birthday deal over in Annapolis. I needed to get there by lunch time as the price is a lot more expensive at dinner, which starts at 3 there. Drinks are good here at Frisco. Service can be pretty slow here sometimes although last time I was there 2 weeks ago, they were surprisingly fast. The 3-stars is mostly for the mediocre food. read more

This is my second experience here at this location but it's my first time sitting down and eating meal with my family. My first time my impression was of the staff and management, they were so friendly and so awesome and went above and beyond for my event. I wasnt sure if this impression would hold up this second time sitting down and eating, it so did! The staff, from hostess to serve staff, were awesome. Super friendly and prompt and really on top of their service. Super impressed. The location itself, has two sides. A bar side and a more quiter booth seating area. Both fun and family friendly. Plenty of parking and good location by waugh chapel. This location is clean and well decorated/set up. Really like the outdoor deco. Now the food is where is shined! I got the bison Chipotle burger with onion rings. We also got the meatloaf and feta whipped dip appetizer. The spicy sauce with the feta was unique and went surprisingly well with the feta. The initial order doesnt come with very many pita though, 2 or 3 more pieces would have been perfect. The meatloaf was pretty good too, above average-moist, hearty and the gravy was flavorful! The mashed potatoes went really well with the meal. But the burger, the burger, was frikkin amazing!! I inhaled it. The bison was perfectly cooked, flavors were soo good, and the portion size was great! I got onion rings wish I got the fries. I stole a lot of fries from other plates, they we're super addictive. It had literally been nearly 10 years since my last review... and last visit here! I guess I meant what I said then, that I wouldn't be in a hurry to be back. But, I'm glad I was convinced to visit again. Things have changed, much for the better! This place is still a tap house first, but their menu seems to have been upgraded a good bit. I had seen photos of a massive mozzarella stick, which I had to try. You actually get TWO per order, each one being around a foot in length! They aren't tiny by any means, as they're pretty wide as well as long! But, they actually taste pretty good, as well. We split three starters in the end (no handhelds or entrées), and we still barely got through half of what we ordered! I had most of the crock of chili. It was okay, a good bit sweeter than I like it, and with beans included. I really don't care either way if chili has beans in it or not, but I know some of you do... so be forewarned! LOL! The real winner, though, were the chicken fingers. They are made in-house, hand-breaded, and there are three to an order. These aren't your small little chicken tenders, though. These suckers are HUGE! They're very well seasoned, too, and perfectly made. I know there's a lot of options for chicken nowadays, but I mean this when I say, Frisco might have some of the best chicken in town! The service was okay. Our server was good, but she started off visiting our table frequently, then less so after we got our food. We were kind of in a hurry by the end of the meal, so it was a tad frustrating trying to find her. But, it's not a huge complaint. Just... it was lunch time, and the place wasn't that busy, so it was a bit surprising, is all. I like what they've done to the interior as well. The previous décor was rather drab and bland. Now, it has a more modern chic appearance, at least in the main bar/dining room. The front dining area still looks like it could use some decoration, though. (Fortunately, we weren't sat there). Overall: I'm glad I came back. It's definitely morphed over the years and seems to have gotten better. This is a great place to eat, drink, and watch sports! The food is always good and they always have a great specials menu. I do think the service here is typically pretty good; however, sometimes servers get busy with others and you don't see them much. The restaurant is quite big and packed full of tables and tvs. With that being said, when it's busy, it is loud! I would recommend visiting! read more

I went to Frisco's on a Sunday for brunch and to catch the 1PM NFL games. They have enough TV's on the walls and they were showing 4 different games. The place was filled with fans cheering on their respective teams. The service was excellent considering how many people were there. Our food was absolutely fantastic. Our order consisted of cinnamon roll pancakes, bacon, chicken tenders, steak and eggs, potatoes, and mimosas. The mimosas were $5 and they were good. The star of the show were the cinnamon roll pancakes. They were delicious. The bacon was crispy and the steak was seasoned really well. Went skating down there street and for lunch we were craving a good burger. Frisco's Tap House came up as a suggestion on yelp. We walked in and were quickly seated. Our waitress was very nice and made a great suggestion with the wings. The old bay wings specifically were DELICIOUS! I'd go back just for these bad boys. For an entree I ordered the Frisco's burger. The burger wasn't the best. A little watered down burger meat to me. I wish it were cooked a little better with more seasoning. The French fries were great! Overall, good experience. Hubby got the bison burger which was huge and came with fries I would describe as decent. To try out their brick oven pizza, we ordered a small cheese. I remember thinking it was odd 6 months ago that there was a lack of customers, but since then, I've seen why. Prior to COVID this place was jumping. I would come here regularly with my family and with large groups. The food, The drinks and the service were always on point. The staff overtime become full of familiar faces and since we came here often, a few even recognized us. There seemed to always be exciting new changes and additions to the menu and this had become my families go-to for those last minute "we don't want to cook" nights that pop up occasionally. Since everything re-opened though, those regular faces have since gone. The service isn't what it once was, and the food has been on a decline. Our last 3 visits to Frisco's were a combination of bad customer service, Wrong orders, and feeling rushed through our meals. The servers kept disappearing, and the food kept coming out late and completely wrong. We ended up with all of our food appetizers and entrees reaching us at the same time and it just really threw off the chill evening we were planning to have. These things happened on 2 of our last 3 visits. We took a break for a while from Frisco's because my wife kept enduring the brunt of the mess up's and got tired of always having to be the one repairing mistakes. We recently tapped back in for my son's birthday dinner, and it was clear to see that things had only gotten worse. Business has not picked up, service is bare bones and now the food has really taken a turn for the worst. Our server took my sons order and brought him the wrong thing twice. When he finally got the right order it looked as if it was thrown together in the dark. The burger was dry and disappointing. This is the same sandwich he orders literally every visit so it was easy to see that it wasn't right. We paid 12 bucks for 3 small chicken tenders and a toddler handful of fries. Frisco's tenders used to be some of our favorites and has always been a regular when we order apps, but this was just a sad plate of disappointment. It feels like these guys have either given up, or can't get it together. Either way it's no longer worth the trip. I had high hope that they would return to the pre-pandemic days of glory, but even my youngest knew before we got to the car that this was our last time at Frisco's. Her and my son couldn't believe how bad it had gotten. My wife and I just shook our heads because this is the second "Go-To" restaurant that's tanked since COVID. I'm still rooting for these guys to get it back together, but I don't see myself coming back any time soon. read more

I've had to walk to the bar to get our drinks we ordered from the waitress on two different trips. Hubby & I ordered & split a crab pretzel & cheeseburger -the food was meh- the pretzel was large, with ample crab dip, but was overly buttery-greasy- definitely hit the stomach hard-and the burger had a large thick juicy patty, with average fries. Our friends ordered the wings- and while the plate was smaller (8 wings for $14), they were a better quality taste- juicy, well-seasoned, ample sauce- decent decision As expected, less happy hour & more stressful minute of ordering: the beer menu was hard to read- posted on TV screens because the constant changing taps- the option was continue to walk to the screen or try to use the Untapped app, but that was very outdated as we tried to order numerous beers that were tapped. I ended up going to the bar to try a few samples, asking sizes & prices- to which even the bartenders were unhelpful, saying they wouldn't know until I ordered it & the rang it up...ugh...just not very user friendly -especially when going out for happy hour. The corn beef hash, grits, and steak were excellent. The pancake had a bit of a banana taste but our server assured there were no bananas in the recipe. - I also would have liked it to be a little less "soft"..it fell apart easily. The wings and nachos were delicious as well. The grilled bbq wings were tender, flavorful, and didn't really need the blue cheese that came along with it. I was craving a burger really bad yesterday! I decided to check out Frisco Tap based off the other reviews. The restaurant is pretty big. I guess I came on the right night, there was a high school reunion going on. It was a nice crowd. I decided to sit at the bar. Christian took care of me while I dined at the bar. He was very personable & made great convo. I ordered the Nitro Blackberry Manhattan on tap ( really strong). To make my drink more enjoyable I asked for a cup of ice with some sour mix. That helped balance it and made it perfect! For dinner I ordered the Bacon Jammy Burger. It was cooked to perfection. I ordered it med well and I loved the fries. Christian suggested I get them extra crispy & he didn't lie they were perfect! Frisco has over 100 beers on tap. I even tried a few, they were delicious. I've never been in one but I'd venture this is what an Applebees (conveniently next door) is like. Service- Well, they got my wife's order totally wrong so rather than take mine back and make a new one so that we'd eat at the same time they left me with mine while they made what my wife actually ordered so we ate at different times. The icing on the cake is that they then tried (knowingly ?unknowingly ? Don't know, don't care) to charge me for the wrong item in addition to what we ordered. Food - Barely OK. As an actual Italian I wanted (out of a morbid sense of rubbernecking a car accident) to try their "parmesan risotto" side dish as it takes about 45 minutes to make fresh risotto properly, and true enough it was exactly as I thought. A pot of what at one time may have been risotto left to simmer for hours on end until all texture was gone. Ended up being more of a bland polenta type of consistency than anything else. My family and I eat here quite often. Everyone we've recommended this restaurant to always has great things to say about it. It's an average restaurant in terms of vibe, plenty of seating, a full-sized bar and quite a few TVs to watch sporting games. The environment is pretty relaxed. The staff is very attentive and super friendly. They have a brunch menu Friday through Sunday. The pancakes are pretty good. Make sure you ask for the cinnamon butter! The brunch skillets are pretty good. The Bayou skillet is one of my favorites. The Frisco wings (house rub) are the BEST! One of my personal favorites is the bayou burrito. If you like Bang Bang Shrimp, the Frisco Shrimp a good idea. The cocktails are just okay. However, my personal favorite is the Progressive old fashioned. It's an old fashioned with 3 flavored ice cubes. Let it chill for 5 mins and enjoy. Check it out any day of the week. You'll be pretty impressed. read more

If Mediocre started with an "F" it would spell Frisco...Fediocre. I am trying my best to figure out who and how this place is rated so high. At first glance of the menu the choices look decent. However the food taste like it all came out of the refrigerated section of your local grocery store. Stay away from the Burrito, the wings, the nachos, and the so called churros. They all were one star dishes. The service was decent but after that it was all down hill. Even the look and fell of the place is mediocre, I've never been to a tap house where the tvs are limited on game night. DO NOT go here to watch a game, or eat the food. Stick to the beer. Came here tonight with a friend. We had lakes as an app, I got the salmon Piccata, and my friend got the French dip. My meal was good. My friends sandwich had a weird taste and odor. Our waiter took care of her issue, got the manager to remove it from her bill. We also ordered the bread pudding and it was really nice. The restaurant was a bit loud, but it wasn't full so it could have been worse. Good experience, I'd definitely go back again. read more
