It's such a cute spot. Nice bright photo wall. There is limited seating. Seats are very comfortable. The staff were nice, very helpful in helping make decisions. Ordered the HALF SMOKED SANDWICH consists of peppers, onion, coopers cheddar, egg, and a hash brown on a brioche bun. The bread is delicious, the half smoked was reminiscent of smoked sausage. I would have liked more peppers and onions. PRALINE PECAN SWEET ROLL is good Nice soft dough texture. The cinnamon spice is delicious very pronounced. I prefer a less sweet roll, the praline made it sweeter than I prefer. I did taste a little tanginess, maybe sour cream or cream cheese. The flavor reminds me of a honeybun. would definitely try the original flavor next time. Tried BANANA PUDDING DOUGHNUT. Doughnut was nice and moist. Filling is light banana flavor. Cookie crumb is my favorite. It tastes like a combo of vanilla wafers and the filling from oreos delish!

We're happy to have a great donut place super close to our new home. They specialize in quality instead of quantity. The staff is amazing. Very helpful and attentive. We went once prior to our recent visit and they were out of donuts but the coffee was perfect. Our second visit was a donut score. We got the tiramisu, caramel cheesecake, lemon meringue, and their version of Boston crème. Each one was great in its own way. My husband loved the lemon. It was a bit of a miss for me with the dark chocolate on the Boston Crème. It was also lacking a lot in the filling. We loved the displays in the shop and we will definitely be back to try the breakfast sandwiches. Overall, a welcoming and super tasty place to get well made donuts. Pricey (4 for approximately $15), but you'll always get better quality than with chain places.

I travel for food... and let me tell you, Blondie's Donuts on Mayo Road is the spot when that sweet craving hits! Whether you're planning a holiday party, birthday bash, or just need a pick-me-up, this place has you covered with creative sandwiches and the most heavenly donuts. I stopped in right before closing and grabbed one of their discounted to-go bags -- and wow, not a single disappointment in the bunch! Every donut was fresh, soft, and melt-in-your-mouth good. You can tell they're made with love (and probably a little bit of magic). They also cater, so if you've got an event coming up -- don't walk, run! Place that order and tell the chef I sent you. Between the plenty of parking, friendly service, delicious food, and fun atmosphere, Blondie's is an absolute win. Trust me, your sweet tooth will thank you!

This place has been on my radar for a while and I finally got a chance to stop by. I really had a taste for brisket so I ordered the smoked brisket lunch sandwich. However, they accidentally gave me the smoked brisket breakfast sandwich, and it was thee most beautiful mistake. While I waited for my sandwich, I tried some donuts. I had the strawberry & chocolate donut holes & a banana pudding donut. I wasn't a fan of the donut holes but absolutely loved the banana pudding donut. I was a little leery because I usually don't like filled donuts, but I guess if you fill it with banana pudding I do. I had to stop myself from eating the whole thing because I wanted to enjoy the rest after my sandwich. The breakfast sandwich had brisket, egg, hashbrown, and Sriracha mayo on an everything roll. My, my, my, this sandwich made me do my happy food dance. Where do I even begin? I've had a lot of brisket in my life, but never on a breakfast sandwich. I've had a lot of breakfast sandwiches in my life, but never one that included a hash brown. I feel deprived. The flavors, the textures, the roll, just everything was perfect. I can't wait to come back and try the brisket lunch sandwich and some of the cinnamon rolls I saw. They had a traditional, apple butter and a praline pecan cinnamon roll.

Stopped by because we were in the area and wanted some vegan donuts. Unfortunately they didn't have any this weekend. But what they did off us was a vegan breakfast bowl. The service was every good and he gave us option on how to order vegan options at a later date etc. he was very helpful, I think it was the owner. The place is spacious and very clean. I'll be visiting again, that's for sure.

The lemon was amazing!! My partner said the strawberry shortcake was fantastic. I was nervous but the banana pudding was surprisingly tasty. The funfetti was okay.

Donut tasted so great, so many sprinkles evenly sprinkled on the donut. Great customer service! Purchased at the farmer's market.

I want to update my review since they opened up a brick-and-mortar location! We came in on a Tuesday in May around 10:30 am. We were the only two in the store, which was great because that gave us time to look over all their options. The menu features cinnamon rolls, pastries (macaroon, danish), breakfast sandwiches, lunch sandwiches, sweet rolls, cakes (whole and by the slice), and of course, doughnuts! There's something for everyone, truly. On this day, we opted for the iced chocolate latte, smoked chicken breakfast bowl, a slice of chocolate Smith Island cake, a slice of the carrot cake, a Sassy Sally doughnut, and a chocolate darling doughnut. The iced chocolate latte was delicious. Smooth and chocolatey! The smoked chicken breakfast bowl was good. I would have liked more sauce throughout, since it was only drizzled on top. Some of the chicken pieces were a bit dry. The tots were very crispy. The doughnuts are always fresh and delicious. My family enjoyed both slices of cake. There are four 2-top tables to sit at inside (half booth seating, half chair), and 6 seats total in the window. They have a counter area to get your napkins, straws, utensils, jelly, ketchup, throw away trash, etc.

Red Velvet, Banana Pudding, Maple Bacon, and Lemon Meringue

My last review of Blondie's Doughnuts was in March of 2021, when we were still going through the COVID pandemic. At that time, Blondie's was mostly doing pop-ups, farmer's markets, a food truck, and home deliveries. In the past, I mostly got my Blondie's fix from home delivery. Fast forward to 2025. They now have a storefront in Edgewater. Recently, I found myself visiting the Annapolis area and I just HAD to grab some doughnuts to take back home to NJ with me. My friend met me there before we went out to brunch. Upon entering the store, I was greeted. I'm not sure if this was an owner or an employee, however, she was very nice and helpful. She offered suggestions and told us her favorite items. I decided to go with Showgirl (maple bacon), Lemon Meringue, Banana Pudding, and Red Velvet. I shared some of the doughnuts with my mom, but I will say that my two favorites were the Lemon Meringue and Banana Pudding. In the past, they did a doughnut that was filled with lemon curd minus the meringue and that was a favorite of mine then. Adding the meringue to it is just the icing on the cake! I love it both ways. In addition to doughnuts, they offer cinnamon rolls and breakfast sandwiches. I've had their cinnamon rolls in the past, but not during this visit. The breakfast sandwiches are a newer offering. I'm glad I got the chance to visit their storefront and hope to get back to the area again soon for more doughnuts, buns, and to try a sandwich. I'm glad to see the progression of this black-owned, local business.

Blondie's Doughnuts has been on my radar for a while. So, when I heard people talking about it more and more, I knew I had to make a quick pit-stop to check them out in Edgewater, MD. Blondie's is located in a strip mall, of sorts, no thrills on the outside, but extremely cute on the inside. I entered and was greeted by a friendly and helpful staff. I ordered a variety of doughnuts, a turkey sausage, egg and cheese, as well as a bacon egg and cheese sandwich. They also offer different specialty drinks, a variety of sweet rolls, and other treats. The breakfast sandwiches, BOMB! They came with a hash brown, avocado, and some type of mayo...ALL ON THE SANDWICH! 10 out of 10, easily! The doughnuts were pretty okay. They have an extensive list of flavors, such as, tiramisu, Oreo cheesecake, dark chocolate ganache, honey dip, strawberry shortcake, and plenty others. Yes, they were colossal and fresh, but I can't really say that I loved them. My family was in agreement. Perhaps, I need to try some of their other doughnut flavors. I'd come back for the breakfast sandwiches in a heartbeat and maybe try the cinnamon rolls (they look delicious) but I'd rethink my doughnut options, if I decided to purchase any in the future.

Incredibly friendly staff. Delicious food -- complex and rich tastes for sandwiches. Definitely will be back.

After seeing some posts in the DMV Does Facebook group, I recently checked out Blondie's Doughnuts which opened a physical location in Edgewater, I had the pleasure of meeting owners Michelle and Hasson Diggs during my visit. It's super cute inside and they also serve breakfast sandwiches. I ordered a caramel latte, fruit punches, and a dozen of a variety of donuts. The donuts were beautiful ams very filling. It's definitely worth a try and a visit.

    Grandma's Sweet Roll

Blondie's Doughnuts has the best cinnamon rolls! Cinnamon rolls are my favorite sweet treat, so I am always on a quest to find a delicious one. I've had many, and Blondie's is #1! They are always fresh and delicious with no soy and yucky additives! I get them delivered regularly and the staff is always pleasant and courteous. Top-notch service and food! Blondie's rocks!!

For sides I got the Brussel sprouts which have bacon, goat cheese and some type of nut in them. They were really good and flavorful. I also had the hush puppies which are served with the same butter that came with the biscuits. They were nice and crisp but not over cooked. I recommend both sides. My family seemed to enjoy their dishes as well. My friend had the burger with pork belly on it, my father had the Cajun seafood pasta & my mother had the blackberry thighs. Overall everything tasted great. We got dessert to go, I had bread pudding which I later ate- and it was phenomenal. The sauce they serve with it really brings it together nicely. Everything tasted fresh and well put together, and the menu has a really big selection, which is always a plus. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the place itself was very clean. Noise level was moderate, lighting was good with a mix of natural and fluorescent light. There is seating available, but from what I've seen, most people grab their food and go. My wife saw they had black bean soup and a pork special, so we decided to stay and were seated. Since our last visit about a year ago, they've made some changes. The seating has been updated, with a second bar added along with high-top tables and booths. The space looks very nice. Our server came over, took our drink order, and we asked for a bowl of the black bean soup. When he returned, my wife asked how the pork special was, and he said it was very good, so she ordered it. I ordered the cod fish and chips. When the food came out, everything looked good at first. Unfortunately, the fish and chips were very greasy -- it seemed like the fries were placed on the plate to soak up the grease from the fish. My wife's pork dish was worse. She was given two slices with connective tissue running through them that were so tough she couldn't even get a fork into them. The other piece was also extremely tough and difficult to cut, and the gravy had no flavor. When our server finally came back to check on us, my wife showed him the pork. His response was simply that he would let the manager know and take it off the bill. There was no offer to replace the dish or bring her something else to eat. After that, we never saw him again. My wife eventually asked another server for tea, which a different server brought. Later, another server came by to see if we were finished. I asked how much the eggnog was, and she quoted the price for a bottle, said I just want a glass, she said I'll get you a menu I explained to another waitress I just wanted a glass. Eventually, I got it -- though I asked for it without ice, and it still came with ice. At that point, I just drank it. The best thing was the bean soup. Overall, this was not a good meal and honestly the worst experience we've had in the 10+ years we've been coming here. Between the food quality and the lack of follow-up from our server, it was very disappointing. It will be quite a while before we return.

He was required to work the bar making drinks, attending to the patrons sitting at the bar plus some four tops in the general area of the bar. That's typically his normal section. This time he was waiting on booths, where we were sitting plus a group of 12 (12!) seated after us. Michael was swamped and there no way he could keep up. He had no support from other employees and it was obvious they did not have enough servers (they had a bunch of bus people, mostly standing around). The floor was chaos and not once did I see a manager come out to access and help. Our food came out piece meal with items missing. We knew we were not getting refills because at that point Michael's total concentration was getting food and drink orders from the 12 top and making drinks. Michael came by and was extremely apologetic and we assured him it was not his fault. We all used to work in the business and knew where the fault fell. Management! As we exited there were numerous open tables with at least 20 people waiting to be seated. We were glad to get out of the chaos. The prices were very high - entree's were $30 + and had the manager been more attuned to the needs of the guest and not just one couple with too many kids running around the restaurant like they owned it - we may have enjoyed the evening more. Review: We chose to go there on a Friday evening, knowing that in general they are not a very crowded venue and we wanted a quieter atmosphere than you get at most casual dining venues. On arrival we were asked if we would like to sit outside on the deck and we agreed. Though we had see the 5-6 kids ranging in age from 5 - 10 running and playing hide and seek outside the restaurant we never guessed they would continue their game on the deck with their parents watching them. After a few minutes of dealing with that noise we asked to be moved inside. Within 10 minutes of moving the kids were inside running around and then chose to sit in the booth behind us by themselves - getting up and down, arguing and generally playing with the utensils at the table. We noted this to the wait staff with no response beyond - I'm sorry. We put up with it more and finally as dinner was ending the manager arrived at the table and cheerfully asked how everything was. I told him of our disappointment with the disrespect of the children in the facility and he simply said- Sorry, we can't really do the parenting. No offer of any kind to make up for the discomfort of ourselves - with a bit of attitude. And you wonder why the place is empty on a Friday night. Way overpriced for the food, service and without any attempt to put the consumer first. Have used this place for special group events - but maybe not again.
