I'm from Baltimore but while passing through Annapolis, my boyfriend and I decided to stop by Sandy Pony Donuts as he declares himself to be a donut connoisseur. First of all, their location is HUGE- very spacious and open... But even more importantly, their donuts are even better!! Although they're on the smaller size, they are extremely tasty and freshly made (made to order!) After we tried 1, we decided to get all 24 flavors that are offered at this location. There was no shame in leaving this place with 2 dozen donuts. Their staff was extremely friendly and really helpful. The cashier was really knowledgeable about how the sandy pony came to be, and their product as well. I highly recommend Sandy Pony Donuts, and as a donut lover I will definitely be coming back to this location for more!! Ps: they have a kid section, which is awesome, and they also have T-shirts on the wall with the Maryland flag and their logo. It's awesome to see how prideful they are. read more

Sandy Pony Donuts - These were so delicious!!!!! 12/24 we got! - Donuts Near Me - Annapolis, Maryland

I'm so so glad Annapolis got another donut place! The donuts were really good, except for the fact that the two that I ordered were undercooked, which was disappointing. The staff was incredibly friendly, but the decor was not appealing at all. It was $1.75 for one tiny donut so it definitely wasn't cheap and the protein donuts are $40 for a dozen! If you like Fractured Prune then you'll like Sandy Pony. read more

What are donuts? These ARE donuts! Crispy on the outside and cake-tastic on the inside. Glazed with honey, rolled around in powdered sugar, and sprinkled with heavenly goodness. No ounce of self-restraint can keep me from eating 3 whole donuts all by myself (yes, I know). My belly pudge is so sad, yet oh so happy at the same time. Highly recommend, in order, the Sea Foam, Salted Caramel, and Banana Coconut. Oh my yums! Next time will be bubble tea time! read more

Who doesn't love fresh warm donuts? These are some of the best. Classic and cakey and they come up with some of the craziest flavors. Get a dozen and try all of them! read more

I will never have anything bad to say about warm donuts and bubble tea. Staff is always friendly and efficient. We love this place

This place is amazing! I have only been a customer for 2 days but I am already hooked. They have great customer service and will make suggestions. I had never tried bubble tea so they helped me understand exactly what it was and suggested mocha bubble tea since I enjoy iced coffee from Starbucks. Of course, I ended up loving it and I look forward to trying other flavors. If you try any donut here, give the Porky Pony a try. It is honey, cinnamon and bacon. My lord, unlike anything you'll try elsewhere. The salted caramel is also excellent. Donuts are made fresh here, so you get them warm and they melt in your mouth. A cold bubble tea is a great compliment to your warm donut. read more

Five Stars for Sandy Pony Donuts! As a donut lover, I have frequented all of its local competitors and Sandy Pony definitely stands above the rest. All donuts are made-to-order with multiple options to choose from. The made-to-order aspect is so important in this business as it ensures the donuts are hot and fresh. There is no other way to eat these donuts other than hot. I am a big supporter of small local businesses and believe that Sandy Pony Donuts will be with us for a long time given the quality of product, prime location and enthusiasm of both its owners to succeed. I certainly will invest heavily in this business to help it succeed. :) Highly recommend Sandy Pony Donuts and will be back very soon! read more

My favorite donut place in the area because these donuts are so unique and absolutely addicting! It's like eating a fresh funnel cake, but it's a donut covered in tasty toppings. Since they're so fresh, you have to wait a few minutes to get the donuts but they're suprisingly fast. They also are very reasonably priced as 4 donuts are around 6.50, so for two people with coffee you can get a delicious breakfast around $10 bucks. The staff inside is always really friendly too, and they have hot coffee until they close (unlike some places that run out in the afternoon). My only criticism is that while the flavors are really well picked (there are a lot of amazing combinations), they don't really stand out on the donut. I think this may be because the donut is overwhelming good, or because it's so fresh & hot, I'm not sure. As a result a lot of the flavors can taste relatively similar, but they're so amazing I really could care less - I could eat one after another forever! read more

SIMPLY AMAZING! First time here and I had such a hard time picking which doughnuts I wanted to try, but I don't think you can go wrong with anything here! The doughnuts are so warm and moist. I think my favorite was the porky doughnut though! read more

Totally awesome, freshly made to order donuts with so many original toppings/flavors it's hard to choose! Will def head back next time I'm in the area around breakfast time!!! read more

We tried a half dozen donuts for Saturday breakfast, and ate in. The cashier was super friendly and patiently waited for us deciding which donuts we get - because they are way too many flavors(of course it's a big pro)! We ended up ordering 6 different flavors and all are good. If I have to decide my #1 favorite was sand dune (I think it was cinnamon and sugar). read more

Donuts are amazingly delicious. It was kinda on a pricey side for a donut but it is made to order. I wasn't a fan of cake donuts but these ones were just awesome. Donuts were soft and warm. The taro bubble tea came out good as well. We'll go back again when the craving kicks in. read more

So let me preface this review by saying... Donuts!! And I'll finish it by saying... Best ever! These donuts are soooo good! Hot, fresh, made to order and perfectly cooked with a delicate crumb. These donuts are definitely the best I've had in EVER. Yum! They're so moist, almost creamy in texture. Slightly crisp on the outside, made to order and you get to choose your flavor combinations. I ordered a half dozen and tried 6 different flavors (see picture below). My first impression upon checking out at the register was "wow, these are pricey" but once I got them and took that first bite I understood why. These are quality donuts! I still think they're a bit pricey but if I want an experience I'll return. I can certainly understand why they cost what they do and it's evident by the way this business in run that they care about their customers and the product. The customer service was great and I was greeted by both owners even though one was on his lunch break. I didn't figure out until I was waiting for my donuts to be made that they were the owners. There's a huge picture of them by the front door that I hadn't noticed on the way in. Long story long... Just go, you won't be disappointed. read more

The donut flavor was good but the texture was a bit too mushy. We tried the Mary Lemon and the glazed. The outside texture was nice, had a crispness to it but the inside was very soft. The staff was really nice and everything looked very clean. read more

These are delicious.. krispy on the outsides, soft insides. I dont know why i thought they would be dry but they are perfectly moist. Enjoyed the blueberry glaze and the strawberry with sprinkles. The flavors are there enough to be distinguishable from one to the next, but aren't necessarily explosive or knock-your-socks-off. They just add a hint of flavor to the magic which is the donut itself. Will definitely be back to try others. read more

Great donuts, fast service, friendly staff. It's a local establishment and your treats are personalized. Worth a stop for a quick sugar fix

SO STINKIN' YUMMY! My one guilty pleasure are these donuts! Always hot and fresh and just soooo tasty. Staff is great as well quick and simple. Glad to see this co.pany is expanding to other locations as well. 10/10 EVERYTIME! read more

These donuts are both tasty and visually appealing. They are made fresh on the spot when you order so they come to you still warm. It's so amazing. My only complaint is that since they are cake donuts they fill me up fast and I can't eat a lot at one time like I want to do. LOL. Definitely try them! On the first of every month you can get them for $1 a donut which is so awesome. I took them to work on the first and became a bit hit at work! read more

The donuts here are incredible! Far and beyond what I expected, Sandy Donuts hand dips/decorates each of its freshly made donuts with fun and funky flavors and colors. We got a variety of options and each kind was uniquely named, colorful, and original. Plus, service was quick to boot, which isn't always the case when each donut is being hand decorated. I also tried the boba tea, which was delicious. I wish that they had more varieties to choose from, but overall I was very happy with my experience here. read more

OMG. So in love! Great customer service, they were extremely helpful and patient with us trying to figure out what we wanted. We ordered a dozen because they all looked so good! Holy smokes we're these donuts delicious! Each donut is insanely fresh as they are made to order! There are tons of unique flavor combinations to choose from, which can feel a little overwhelming. What is the name Sandy Pony means? I have no idea but I know their donuts really are light, Krispy and delicious. Although they make different flavors, I don't think there are as interesting to my taste. I was curious though when I saw a lemonade. Another good thing is the green tea powder drink bubble tea. I dig it. read more

We stopped by because we were craving donuts and this place didn't disappoint. We chose half a dozen donuts we wanted and they made them fresh right there so they were hot and tasted amazing. Such Great donuts here. I really love the flavors. Everything is made with care and the people who work here are amazing! Thank you Sandy Pony! read more

The donuts are mouthwatering. I had the strawberry and it was so moist and just delicious. Omgggggg you have to go and try them.

Best donuts in town!! So many custom flavors, fresh, warm and delicious! Much better than the Krispy Kreme chain totally different almost cake like but a donut. I went here for the first time this week waiting for the mall to open. I wanted a good donut so I pulled up yelp and punched in "donuts" and Sandy Pony came up. So I drove to check it out. They had a long list of flavors banana coconut, plain, cookies and cream, Carmel pretzel, banana strawberry the list goes on. The donut of the week was a margarita donut. I ordered two donuts and an iced green tea. I ordered the banana coconut and margarita donut. The margarita donut was amazing! I was a little skeptical but it was really good. The banana coconut had fresh shredded coconut with a banana glaze. Interesting combination and actually really good. I will always grab donuts from here if I'm in the area. read more

Small business, great people, good hot fresh donuts. A couple of clarifications - they only make and sell a cake donut and the donut itself is only one kind. Everything else is a glaze or topping. So the donuts are always freshly made and hot. They have a wide variety of toppings, and the donuts are good. I'd go here again, just be aware of the limited choices - no raised donuts, and no specialty, like apple fritters, or cream filled etc. read more

Super yummy made to order donuts. When they said they'd make them fresh, I expected it to take a while, but they were quick and hot and delish! read more

oh my, my, my...I cry for the state of our national tastebuds and what people are not only becoming accustomed to, but actually rave about... I cannot in good conscience give these so called donuts anything but one star and would give zero if allowed. These are the Wonderbread of donuts. IMHO, if you are going to limit your business to one item, it better be the best d*** version possible. Now I know this is Annapolis and I am not expecting the passion, creativity and perfectionistic quality of Doughnut Planet in New York, but I am not going to lower my standards to these soft, squishy, mealy, junk food versions that keep on giving with their artificial aftertaste. To those who think these are actually great donuts, I am sorry for you... read more

Love their delicious donuts. I ordered a dozen donuts in 7 different flavors. They were all amazing and came hot and freshly baked! They have so many different flavors it was hard to decide! But they all ended up being so good. I would highly recommend this place if you want good, fresh warm donuts. I could eat these any time of day not just for breakfast. read more

The shop is small but quaint, and the guys behind the counter were really nice and friendly. Donuts came out quickly and were made to order, I just didn't find them all the flavorful. Perhaps if I had waited for them to cool down all the way, it would have been better, but there's nothing better than eating a warm donut if they're made fresh to order. read more

Enthusiastic and friendly staff, the bubble tea was terrible. We got a black tea and a taro root, taro was flavorless and poorly blended, the black tea was iced tea with no sweetener added to a paltry amount of bubbles. Very disappointing. We have had the pony pile in the past and it was tasty. Hoping the tea was just a fluke, and that a future visit will be more pleasant on that front. Donuts are simple cake dipped in whichever flavors you pick, served hot. Some combos work better than others. I'm pretty partial to the simpler flavors, and those didn't disappoint. The mint chocolate was less than stellar, oreo quite tasty. read more

The donuts are small looking and overpriced. DO NOT get the bubble tea- I REPEAT do NOT get the bubble tea, you get a very small cup for a whopping $4.50. The bubbles are hard and crunchy and old tasting. they're supposed to be sweet and chewy. they could learn from kung fu tea or moge tee down the street at the mall. read more

These donuts are good, but not earth shattering. On that note, I don't understand the desire to tear down Fractured Prune as they are equally good, if not slightly better, for offering more variety. Some of my qualms with Sandy Pony Donuts are their small size for the price (about 1.85 each), the lack of difference between their donut flavors (most donuts have a foundation of cinnamon sugar with one variation), and the weak flavoring of the donuts that actually are exciting (I didn't get any banana from the dirty banana). With that aside, the donuts are cooked well with a crisp exterior and a soft fluffy middle that will satisfy anyone craving sugary fried dough. They are best eaten fresh and warm for they lose some of their comforting magic when left out at room temp. Even if your not typically a fan of cake donuts (like me) I'd give these a try. They're overall less dense and with the glaze melting into a warm flash-fried ring it becomes a different experience. *As a sidenote, I was really disappointed by their t-shirts which for some reason say more about the Maryland flag than anything about their brand. I'd actually buy one if they featured that cute pony logo instead. read more
