    Strawberry lemonade
    Jake S.

Just stopped in for the food hall and had to get some Korean drinks. We weren't expecting the sweetness to be as strong as it was for the strawberry lemonade. The cool thing was you could adjust the amount of sweetness on a scale as your ordered. 70% is still very sweet lol it was definitely more viscous too if that's what you like! Jake, kev, amy

I had no idea this gem was in the cut. I recommend you giving them a visit and ordering the Dirty Brown Sugar Latte! It was soooooo good. I might get another today lol.

I still would come here and buy. They should try to improve on the cup making it leakproof. Otherwise, 10/10.

Still best in the area! Food like motchi is good and soft. Service is quick! Ambiance is relaxing inside the court

    Strawberry Matcha Milk Tea -- 10/10 !
    Delana A.

I come here for a little pick me up very often, since I live nearby. The staff is always friendly & willing to suggest beverages & answer any questions I have. They are also really fast with making your order. The strawberry matcha milk tea with oat milk is by far the best drink I've ordered from here! You really can't go wrong with anything you order, though. They have a cool rewards program that gets you a free small drink (no topping) after you buy 10 drinks, and with every receipt, you can complete a survey for a free topping. Sometimes the staff is not aware of how the free topping promo works, or in-app purchase, but eventually they figure it out. Overall, love coming here! I'm glad to see Gong Cha in the DMV!

Felix's Pick Brown Sugar with Boba Pearls

I wasn't expecting to see Felix there! I just wanted some boba! So as I was about to order my regular brown sugar milk tea, I saw Felix standing right next to the kiosk and decided to order Felix's Pick instead... as much as I loved Felix, sadly his pick didn't match the same amount of love I had for him it was kinda bland, tasted more like water. I don't know if it was the cold or not but the ice just made the drink too cold to taste anything. I'm sorry Felix! Still love you though! This is just not my taste!

Mango smoothie with peach jelly and bubbles

Located in spite of the spot which is a community pool in the sub of Maryland I decided to try one of my favorite dessert drinks which is of course bubble tea. When I came up to the counter service is a little bit slow but they have an overwhelming number of choices and combinations and different editions which I haven't seen before I opted to go for the mango smoothie with bubbles and peach jelly and I thought it was just delicious. I definitely will be back. If you're in this spot you should definitely hit this up!

The customer service here was incredible. The staff is very friendly and offer recommendations. I decided to try the lemon wintermelon tea with basil leaves. It took less than 5 mins for my tea to be ready and it tastes so delicious. You pick your flavor, toppings, sugar level, and ice quantities. I will be returning again to try another flavor!

Gong Cha stand, located in THE spot

Left Jersey and thought I'd never see Gong Cha again. I was THRILLED to find one today and even more thrilled by my experience. I had a Green Milk Tea, which is pretty standard. We also ordered a mango smoothie and Ai-Yu tea with strawberry pearls. They were bussing. We ordered through the Gong Cha DMV app (yes, the DMV gets its own Gong Cha app) for about $19 bucks and they had them ready for us when we got there. When I arrived, my large was a medium but when I brought it to their attention, they quickly fixed it and were super apologetic. My drink was good. They use good tea so it was pretty aromatic and flavorful. The Gong Cha stand/area was clean and everyone working was so nice. I highly recommend downloading the app to earn points. Ohhh, and fight me if you want, but this place is better than Kung Fu Tea.

    Sparkling peach tea

I went to a busy food hall for lunch that has this bubble tea spot and I'm so glad I did. You order at a kiosk and someone from the staff calls your number when your order is ready. Entire food hall is pretty noisy so you are able to get a text if you don't hear your number called. The place was pretty busy when I got there but the friendly staff was getting orders out fairly quickly. I ordered a sparkling peach tea with mango popping pearls for carry out and it was amazing. I highly recommend coming here for a nice cool drink! I know I'll definitely be back again.

Crème brûlée strawberry latte and mango smoothie.

I'm a sucker for bubble tea and this place didn't disappoint. I got the crème brûlée strawberry latte. Soooooo good!!! Creamy and not overly sweet. They have a very large menu and I have my eye on a few other things.

We love boba! And this is our favorite boba spot. The staff is super friendly. My daughters fav is the brown sugar. They have a variety of different flavors of boba, smoothies tea and juice.

Always the right time for a customized Gong Cha milk tea!
    Tonia K.

Gong Cha at The Spot is definitely on point! While most people come for the Boba (bubble) and mill teas, don't sleep on the non-milk teas. Passionfruit green tea, strawberry green tea, the flavors are endless. There are also smoothies and other creative mix beverages available. Worried about sweetness levels? You can adjust it to your liking. Most drinks come cold (you can adjust your ice) but some can be made as a hot drink. There's so much variety! Service is professional, efficient, and super quick. Whether you're a tea enthusiast or looking to try a refreshing new flavor, Gong Cha should be on your list! Wonderful addition to the area.

    Thai tea, and Mango smoothie
    Latonya H.

Came here on 10/23 just to try there drink and to our surprise the drink were amazing. Your order from the board and they call you when your drinks are done. To my surprise the Thai tea really taste like actually Thai tea. The smoothie was smooth and delicious always will definitely come back to try more drinks.

The store is near one of the entrance doors. An order kiosk is located on the right next to the window. You can't see it in this picture.

First Fridays are clearly a big deal there because the place was packed, the Gogo band was good, and the atmosphere was fun. I ended up sitting at the bar instead of getting a table and ordered a drink for myself, a drink for my cousin, and some shrimp. The food and drinks were actually good, so I can definitely see why people like coming here. What frustrated me was the pricing and gratuity situation. After looking at the menu, I saw it mentioned a 20% gratuity for parties of four or more, so I didn't think that applied to me since I was sitting at the bar with no table. I even asked the waitress if I could order food at the bar and she said yes, but nobody explained there would still be an automatic gratuity added. The drinks were $12 each and the bang bang shrimp were $13, so I was confused when my total came out to almost $50 and not realizing I added additional to the tip. I had to ask for the receipt multiple times before I finally saw the gratuity charge unbeknownst to me. I think the restaurant/menu needs to be a lot more upfront and clear about when gratuity is automatically added... and that's whether it's for First Fridays, live bands, bar service, or anything else. Being surprised by service fees, automatic gratuity or any hidden fee not clearly mentioned, for me, can leave a bad impression even when the food and atmosphere are good. As a small business, there are already stereotypes and complaints people make about hidden fees and pricing, and situations like this unfortunately don't help that narrative. With that said, I still plan to come back because I genuinely enjoyed the music, food, and overall vibe. I just wish the pricing and gratuity policies were communicated more clearly from the beginning... especially in this economy!

Two of the kids had fried chicken and fries, they said it was tasty. I tasted a fry and it was crispy and freshly dropped. I had the fried fish and grits. The fish was crispy and juicy, just a tad over salted. The grits were creamy and balanced. Also my lavender lemonade was tasty too! One of the older kids snagged the chicken Cajun pasta. She didn't like the chicken but really enjoyed pasta. I gave the pasta a bite and wasn't a fan of the flavor profile so left her meal alone lol. We then ended the meal with the butter cake. So I took it upon myself to stop by & get some cookies for myself and my parents before I departed for IL a few weeks ago. The ever so popular cookie flavor there is the prized Snickerdoodle cookies. So, of course, I took it upon myself to order a few. I ordered about 8 cookies for $5 or $10 (apparently, they do not allow ordering by the half dozen nor dozen, but by the eights. Such as 8, 16, etc ). I was a bit judgy & hesitant because the cookies were almost razor thin, and I was used to thicker, regular sized cookies. But as soon as I took a bite, I was shook haha they were so moist, soft, and delightful. Crunchy exterior but the right amount of crunch that it doesn't take away from the softness/moisture. The right amount of sugar and cinnamon. I think what makes this different from other Snickerdoodle cookies is perhaps the thinness and (I THINK, I could be wrong) the possible shortening base. They were so good, I decided not to be selfish and go back in to order my parents some to try I will say since it's been a while since I've been to Iverson Cookies, I got a bit lost because I could not find an entrance point (I'll be honest: I forgot haha ). On Yelp and the physical establishment, it's listed as "The Great Cookie." On Google Maps, it's listed as Iverson Cookies. There's plenty of parking. The best way to get there is to drive or Uber. I am unsure if one can Metro there.
