But trust me, this is one of those places you'll be glad you found. I love Turkey, and the second I tried their food, it genuinely took me right back. We ordered the traditional Turkish breakfast, and it was one of those meals where the food just keeps coming in the best way possible. Everything felt fresh, flavorful, comforting, and so clearly made with care. We also tried the flatbread, a meat wrap, smoothies, their special soup which was so good I would absolutely go back just for that, warm catmir for dessert, and a bunch of appetizers. What a gem!!!! This restaurant is in my top 5 DMV restaurants and I have been to a lot of restaurants in the area including Michelin star ones. We came here for Mother's Day, they don't take reservations so we made sure to arrive right when they opened. We walked right in and within 30 min there was a line of about 30 people waiting to be seated. This place is HUGE and they still had a big line, but let me tell you it is worth it!!! Service was impecable, shout out to our server Ilke, she was so nice and attentive. She recommended getting my serpme, which was perfect to share for 2 adults and two kids. It comes with a variety of spreads, sweet and savory. All freshly made. The fig jam, butter and honey, feta spread and tomato one were amazing!! You get a side dish, we got the eggs with tomatoes and pepper and they were delicious! The zucchini fritter was also delicious. The spreads come with unlimited bread made in house. Very nice family restaurant. It's Turkish cuisine and taste very good. Recommend the humus with pastrami as a starter. It's a pretty good portion and can be shared amongst 3-4 folks. The only downside here is the name, which sounds like a totally different kind of business altogether. What this actually is--the best Turkish restaurant I know of on the East coast. The room is bright and modern, the vibe is authentic and upbeat. The servers and hosts actually care. And best of all, the food makes you think you are in Karakoy instead of Manassas. Came here for breakfast and ended up staying for more than 5 hours. and I honestly couldn't be more grateful for the amazing staff! After having breakfast with my wife and our baby, I discovered that I had a flat tire. The entire staff went above and beyond to take care of us. They offered me a tire inflator, made sure my wife and baby had a comfortable place to sit while I dealt with the tire, and kept checking on us every now and then to make sure we were okay. Their kindness, hospitality, and genuine concern really meant a lot to us. What could have been a very stressful situation turned into such a positive experience because of them. Decided to grab a chai and a quick bite to eat during my lunch break and food was ok for me. I did enjoy their chai quite a lot. Service is nice, they greet you when you enter and they took my order over the phone. I had their over easy eggs with sausage which tasted pretty good but was kind of salty. They gave me complimentary bread but it was really hard. The restaurant is huge with ample parking in a private lot. I wasn't expecting so much space. This is the best place to be able to nibble and try a variety of food in one sitting. The prices are very reasonable and the quality of the food is great. We tried two platters that had different dips, jams, honey, hummus etc. we also tried many of their cooked dishes, it came with complimentary tea and bread. My only complaint would be our server never returned after taking our order, never refilled water or checked how our food was. I ordered the Kavurmali Sebzeli Pide (flatbread) and every bite was delicious. My wife ordered the Tavuk Begendi, which she enjoyed very much. For drinks. I ordered an iced Chai Latte and my wife got the apple juice which looks fancy but $7.99 for Apple juice is a bit steep. Paying more for food and drinks can be expected when the quality and quantity of it is higher but you'd also expect a bit of better service. At the entrance it says wait to be seated but no one was actually waiting there to seat us and then ultimately they said we can sit wherever. Besides the initial sit down & asking what drinks, we weren't asked what we wanted again after that.. we had to get their attention or ask the food server if they can take our order for food. With that being said, the staff there were really nice and kind. It's just traditionally, dining out should be easier. I visited My Cravingz for breakfast and caffeine - for the first time this morning. I saw the bakery sign and thought I would check them out. I was going to order a cold brew - but cold brew is not on the menu - they do have iced coffee - which I am not a fan of. I went to the register and ordered Sucuklu Yumurta (4 scrambled eggs with Turkish Sausage) and coffee. It appears you could also be seated at a table and have a waiter take your order. I paid for my order up front (with Apple Pay). I went and sat at a table and waited for my order. The drip coffee came out first - I ordered it with creamer - they brought out a small creamer carafe with the coffee - and they warmed the half n' half - which I have never experienced. The coffee was good, strong coffee. Then my food was brought out - the Sucuklu Yumurta is served rustic style in the cast iron pan it is cooked in on a wooden paddle. Be careful! The pan is very hot! Served with a small basket of bread and some butter. I've never had Sucuklu Yumurta before. I added some black pepper and devoured it. Basic but tasty! Normally - I add hot sauce to eggs - but I decided to experience this as authentically as possible (not sure if black pepper counts!) and forewent the hot sauce - although I don't know if they even offer hot sauce. We shared the large breakfast platter that included sweet and savory dips, summit bagels and bread, two egg dishes (tomato and sausage were the two we picked) zucchini pancakes and hot tea. Everything we tried was so good and flavorful and fresh! I personally loved more of the sweet dips but also the green dip. The zucchini fritters were fabulous and I loved the Turkish sausage in the eggs and the tomato egg dish was a standout. We also all got Turkish coffee as well as a dessert ring that was filled with some delicious cream and had Nutella drizzled on top. Inside there is plenty of room and even a to-go case with goodies to go. It got pretty packed in a Saturday morning which is not a surprise because it's so good.
