Decided to grab a chai and a quick bite to eat during my lunch break and food was ok for me. I did enjoy their chai quite a lot. Service is nice, they greet you when you enter and they took my order over the phone. I had their over easy eggs with sausage which tasted pretty good but was kind of salty. They gave me complimentary bread but it was really hard. The restaurant is huge with ample parking in a private lot. I wasn't expecting so much space. There's also what appears to be a small stage for performers? Not a lot of people were dining in but it's a casual space to sit and eat. I would return again for their drinks!

This place is such a gem! We've been going to since they had a small space with few tables. This visit is no different: friendly chats with the owner, nice staff, and the best food! They really care about the consistency and quality of the food! I ordered our favorites: sucuklu yumurta, beef gozleme (delightfully thin and crispy layers of dough), spinach borek, simit (so fragrant of sesame, perfectly soft amd chewy and my most fav manti (the small dumplings are soft and chewy, swimming in a party of yogurt and spices) and of course their special blend of Turkish tea!

I loved this place the first time I went with my girlfriend a few years ago. Took me a while to get back over here, but it's still just as amazing. If you want an authentic Turkish experience with tea and a variety of dishes, this is the place to go!

My Cravingz is hands down one of the best food spots in Virginia. Every single time I come here, the food is fresh, flavorful, and made with care. You can tell they don't cut corners -- the quality shows in every bite. The menu has something for everyone, and everything I've tried has been consistently amazing. Portions are generous, flavors are on point, and the presentation is always clean and appetizing. This is the kind of place where you finish your meal already planning your next visit. On top of that, the staff is super welcoming and attentive, which makes the whole experience even better. Whether you're grabbing a quick bite or coming with friends or family, My Cravingz never disappoints. If you're in Virginia and looking for food that actually satisfies your cravings, this place is a must-try.

Absolutely love this place! 1. Food: amazing! Classic Turkish cuisine with lots of choices. Perfect brunch spot. 2. Drinks: lots of good choices - Tea - strong Turkish tea in a thermos, like 6 cups worth of tea! Amazing! - Fresh carrot juice: can you believe it? nothing added just fresh vitamin A goodness! - Apple smoothie: have you ever heard such a thing? it is the best liquid dessert, which is also healthy! 3. Ambience: comfortable, welcoming, very spacious, tall ceiling and great for big groups. Lots of Turkish people come here. 4. Service: excellent!

The food was so delicious we went two days in a row! This time we had breakfast and OMG, it did not disappoint!! Our cashiers name was Christian. He was polite, knowledgeable about the menu and he was very personable. I ordered a lemon tart and it was made with all the love in the bakers heart you hear me!! I also had a churro filled with cream (basically an eclair) and it pretty decent but nothing compared to that lemon tart! For breakfast I ordered a spinach bagel (I can't remember the actual name), it was a scrambled egg with spinach and cheese in between a bagel. Goodness gracious, it was so delicious! We also had some black tea which was also good. I'm 100% sure I will return! Chef's kiss!!

An absolute gem! We left the DC area nearly 10 years ago but dropped in here one morning after attending a family wedding. Wow! The food options are all my favorites from childhood and taste as fresh and flavorful as i remember-- just like growing up. The array of pastries range from European classics to Turkish treats, both sweet and savory. I could eat here everyday for months and not get bored! The service was not only friendly and welcoming, but extremely professional. The wide open area of the dining area was refreshing, light and airy.

The staff that make food and beverages deserve a 5-star because the food and drinks was very tasteful and well prepared so I'll start there. I ordered the Kavurmali Sebzeli Pide (flatbread) and every bite was delicious. My wife ordered the Tavuk Begendi, which she enjoyed very much. For drinks. I ordered an iced Chai Latte and my wife got the apple juice which looks fancy but $7.99 for Apple juice is a bit steep. Paying more for food and drinks can be expected when the quality and quantity of it is higher but you'd also expect a bit of better service. At the entrance it says wait to be seated but no one was actually waiting there to seat us and then ultimately they said we can sit wherever. Besides the initial sit down & asking what drinks, we weren't asked what we wanted again after that.. we had to get their attention or ask the food server if they can take our order for food. With that being said, the staff there were really nice and kind. It's just traditionally, dining out should be easier. Overall, their food is GREAT but make sure you order all that you want on that first sit down in case you have a similar experience as myself and some of the other reviews.

Awesome atmosphere, polite / experienced staff and the food was phenomenal. Took dessert / baklava home with us!

I visited My Cravingz for breakfast and caffeine - for the first time this morning. I saw the bakery sign and thought I would check them out. I was going to order a cold brew - but cold brew is not on the menu - they do have iced coffee - which I am not a fan of. I went to the register and ordered Sucuklu Yumurta (4 scrambled eggs with Turkish Sausage) and coffee. It appears you could also be seated at a table and have a waiter take your order. I paid for my order up front (with Apple Pay). I went and sat at a table and waited for my order. The drip coffee came out first - I ordered it with creamer - they brought out a small creamer carafe with the coffee - and they warmed the half n' half - which I have never experienced. The coffee was good, strong coffee. Then my food was brought out - the Sucuklu Yumurta is served rustic style in the cast iron pan it is cooked in on a wooden paddle. Be careful! The pan is very hot! Served with a small basket of bread and some butter. I've never had Sucuklu Yumurta before. I added some black pepper and devoured it. Basic but tasty! Normally - I add hot sauce to eggs - but I decided to experience this as authentically as possible (not sure if black pepper counts!) and forewent the hot sauce - although I don't know if they even offer hot sauce. In any case - the Sucuklu Yumurta was yummy! There is a ton of seating inside. And they offer free WiFi. Service was good! Nice people! #MyCravingz

Loved this place. Pide are great. Manti are first rate. Pastries like Acma and Pogaca all terrific. Can't wait to come back and try more.

Incredibly, all 3 of the 2022 runner-up were in Virginia as I live in Anne Arundel County, MD, but that's just how it worked out with Jirani Coffee House being the furthest from my home at a staggering 53 miles away. It was one of those strange Saturdays where I ended up further and further from my home throughout the day. There was something expensive I was shopping for (bed) where I wanted to test in person as opposed to buying online without knowing. It was in a bedding store in the Tysons area, which I ended up buying from them in the end. Then, there was an astronomy Meetup out at the Air & Space Museum out in Chantilly, so I was like I'm already out in Tysons, and in the 11 years living in the DMV, I need to visit this location of Air & Space. The astronomy Meetup was canceled due to overcast weather, which I didn't realize until after I got there, but I enjoyed the museum until closing time. I weighed options and saw a coffee & comedy Meetup even further from my home in Manassas, which I decided to do since the astronomy event was canceled, and I had already driven all that way. Experience at Jirani: This was a cute coffee house in historic downtown Manassas. The iced chai was excellent, and the staff was friendly. Then, the comedy at nearby ART Factory was great too as was the museum which had some free wine & hors d'oeuvres. If I'm ever in Manassas, I'd definitely try to get back to Jirani!

The default vanilla latte isn't overly sweet, which is good. The regular latte is pretty well pulled. Not over extracted, but a little too much milk for my preference. My raspberry crumble was also good, but could have used more raspberry. I prefer to taste the raspberry as the predominant flavor and in this bar it was a bit masked by the crumble. Still enjoyable though. It's a bit tight inside and typical of an independent coffee shop. Wooden floors and something to look at wherever you turn. An assortment of flavors, from red velvet and sourdough, to cream filled. It was this latter where Texas stands out: they can fill it with a variety of fillings using a machine on every stoners wish list: it injects the donut with flavors. I got two chocolate glazed filled with Bavarian, and whitw creme, and a long john of Bavarian. The cream fillings were great, no trouble there. The donuts were.. different. Donuts have that progression, from air filled Krispy Kreme, to dense cake donuts, and used hockey pucks left over from 1987 Duncan Donuts. I like the airy kind, not so much as Krispy because that's too thin, but something with heft, but air pockets. Texas rides the line between pockets of air and density, and what it tasted like is that they had been airy at one point, but those pockets collapsed on themselves creating a hybrid airy/dense donut. Tasty, but not top of my list. That spot still belongs to Duck Donuts. It's possible the Texas donuts I had were sitting out a bit, or the creme filling caused a collapse of the internal donut structure. I'm not sure but I will go back to try the denser varieties to be sure. Very nice employees, calm and clean interior.
