It's a good late night spot. I had been going here on and off for about ten years and have seen many changes. The food is good, and they are open late. I believe they switch to a shorter Late Night food menu after 9pm (call them to confirm). It is a dive bar with a small area for two dart boards. Staff is friendly. They have Trivia on Monday and Thursday nights. Karaoke every Saturday night 9pm-1am. Open mic night is every first and third Tuesday of each month. Check out their food specials -- currently Tuesdays have half price burgers and Wednesdays have half price sandwiches There is a small outdoor patio area in front. There are gender neutral bathrooms. No stairs at the entrance. Some of their regular patrons can get pretty drunk. While I have enjoyed the karaoke, it can be annoying when the drunk patrons interrupt you a lot, get into your personal space or get too touchy, which is why I don't go here that often. Honestly want to give them higher as almost everyone there was amazing, food was also great there. Thinks it's a bad management decision to have the older guy with glasses at the bar. He's got an attitude not meant to be talking to people all day. Very short answers and has a bad attitude for simple requests. Decent spot on the strip, with daily specials. Second time in and service was as good as the first! They have homemade cakes for sale as well, with different varieties to suit those of us with a sweet tooth. This is definitely a laid back pub full of energy like the show cheers. It's a woman's owned bar that has full menu when it comes to food. They often offer specials and have so dope bartenders who are very attentive. I love their happy hour which is very affordable. Well they like Frenchies so that is a win right away it's a neighborhood pub - no muss, no fuss - they do trivia a few nights a week, live music typically on Fridays and their wings are really good. It would be five stars...the service is good, barkeeps are friendly, nice atmosphere, good food, live music. However, the cigarette smokers who sit at the front door and smoke non-stop ruin it for the patrons inside trying to listen to the music or eat a meal or enjoy a drink. It is obvious by their set up outside for the smokers (tables and chairs) that Mark's pub doesn't seem to care that a non-smoking restaurant smells like people are smoking inside. Too bad. read more

Absolutely incredible! I've been here for brunch (which is also good), but I think the real charm is coming here on a game night. It really seems like a place where "everybody knows your name." The staff really go out of their way to make you feel welcome. They are incredible proud of their food and it shows. No one here pretends to be something they are not. It's a sports bar with a lot of regulars. They have delicious comfort food. I loved the smoked pot roast sliders. Delicious pot roast and soft rolls. I loved the "au jus" sauce fir dipping. It gave a lot of extra flavor. The melted cheese was extra special. Lisa recommended the freshly made Mac and cheese and it lived up to the hype. I was also a big big fan of the shrimp and grits. Fresh, clean shrimp and a perfect tomato based sauce. My only gripe is that they ran out of the beef stroganoff. But that's not a real gripe. I will definitely be back! read more

I wish I could give 0 stars!!! I was in Mark's Pub today with some friends for Happy Hour. We visited this establishment a couple of weeks ago and had a wonderful time! This time we purchased appetizers and plenty drinks. I happened to come, have some corn chips with me and ate a couple when I guess the "owner" told me that I could not consume some of the chips because it was a "health code violation". At the same time, there was a woman at the bar with a DOG!!! A DOG!!!! That DID NOT have a "service dog" vest! So, how is my consuming a few chips a "health code violation" but her dog not?! Stopped in late the other night. Well late for Covid days. Got there about 9:30 and the restaurant had a good amount of customers with one bartender serving everyone. She was amazing. Wish I remembered her name. She was very helpful, let us know it was last call and limited menu and we ordered tater tots and mozzarella sticks. Tator Tots were amazing. Perfect seasoning and crispy. Some of the best tots I have had in a long time Mozzarella sticks where very good as well. I ordered a beer and my friend ordered a mixed drink and my friends drink was great. As the evening went on, more and more people kept coming in, of-course they were getting ready to close. I was happy to see this place doing good business. I've been here a few times and will keep coming back. It's a great neighborhood pub in the middle of chain eatery Tysons. Let's be clear that it's a pub. It's for having a drink and a good burger. I know that it is my fault for giving this place another shot. I live very close and I would love nothing more than to make Mark's Pub my go to local bar. I figured it has been 8 months and maybe it has gotten better. Oh how wrong I was. The lack of service in this joint is inexcusable. I went to watch game 2 of the World Series with my daughter and her boyfriend. As we walked to the bar I noticed someone sitting outside smoking. Not a big deal, that happens all the time since you can't smoke inside. As we walk in the smoker follows us and proceeds to walk behind the bar. Classy. There was no welcome from her, no mention of any specials. Just an overall 'you are bothering me' attitude. We ordered some drinks. At least one smoke break of hers later we were able to get her attention and get some menus. Food comes. She sets it down and just walks away. I needed a knife and ketchup. Luckily the man sitting next to me let me borrow his bottle of ketchup. I never got a chance to ask for a knife. Now I need another beer. Another smoke break and a prolonged sit down visit with another customer at a booth later and she reappears behind the bar. She takes my empty can and walks away, returning with a new beer that she never asked me if I wanted. I guess she reads minds now. For the record I was going to change to something else but I never got the chance. I am not asking for much. Be a little attentive. Paste a smile on your mug even if it is fake. Smoke less and do it out back. Treat new customers like regulars. You are in the hospitality business. I would tell you that the food is actually pretty good. But the food quality doesn't make up for the horrible customer service with a scowl. read more

This is more like 3.5 stars. I came here for the first time to try its karaoke. There seems many regulars for karaoke. Very friendly atmosphere among singers and KJ. The drinks are reasonably priced. I was not quite satisfied with my food order. I ordered fried pickle chips. It took one reminder to the server and total 25 mins to get my order. The chips were really good but it costs $7 for 5 pieces. Although they are thick slices, $1.40 a slice seems too expensive to me. I will definitely come back for more karaoke and good time but I would be hesitant to order any food. read more

I've lived in Pimmit Hills for 12 years. Been back and forth here many times throughout the years. My kind of bar especially when friends are in town on the weekend or I'm on my own for dinner. Stopped coming about 2 years ago because the service was slow and seemed to be catered to the locals. Came 3 weeks ago for a beer and some wings and was greeted by a friendly waitress, been back 4 times now since then and every time the service has been fantastic, and friendly, including tonight. If you're looking for a classic dive bar, get ready to dive deep. Mark's Pub (which has been run by a guy named Ray for over 20 years) is a placed I stumbled upon by accident during the Blizzard of 2002... or was it 2003? Anyway, it was the only place open and they had chili mac and cold beer. Not many people know about this cozy spot tucked behind the Whole Foods strip mall right off 66 and Route 7 near Tysons Corner. Sometimes I'd stop in there for lunch for their sinfully delectable Reuben sandwich. Karen, one of the bartenders, is the absolute best and is a Bartender's Bartender. She's always got a smile, knows what you're drinking and never lets you go empty. More than a few times I've overheard employees from other bars trying to woo her to their establishments. The bar is all dark wood, the regulars bleed burgundy and gold, and they have karaoke and open mic nights. It's definitely a cast of characters and great for striking up unique conversations. The only downside is that it can get suffocatingly smoky in there... but I guess that's the beauty of the true dive bar. read more

Visited this establishment for the first time and overall it was a fun time. However, an experience my group had with a server was pretty unfortunate. We were sat outside and at one point a friend ordered food from Mark's and I decided to get a taco from Taco Bamba. A friend had also ordered food to go from Mark's at the same time. We finished our food and continued enjoying time with our friends, and 20 minutes later a server approached us to start clearing the beer glasses and tray of fries they had ordered earlier. The server must have seen the two take out boxes, as they then proceeded to turn to me and my friends and say "you can't eat that f**king food here, get it out now". As you can imagine me and my friends were completely shocked by this so we quickly say ok, to which the server replied "yeah thanks, get it out". Now listen, I'll be the first to admit I really just wasn't thinking, and didn't think to consider that the general "no outside food inside this establishment" policy you can find at any bar applies to outdoor seating as well. That's totally my bad. But I'll now speak from my own serving and bartending experience, NEVER would I think to speak to a customer, or really anyone in general this way. After reading other reviews after this incident I see that outside food has been a somewhat reoccurring problem here, but I made an honest and fairly small mistake and a simple "hey this is against our policy, can you please put it away" would've gotten the message across just fine. read more

I asked for a menu and she continued talking to the other customer. I had to flag her down to order a drink and food, then flag her down to cash out. Dropped by Art's after a late workout. Not many people dining in, as we were, mostly drinks at the bar. Service was very friendly, but the kitchen was a bit slow. We ordered buffalo wings, which were really good - crispy but not overdone and the blue cheese dressing was very good- one of the better wings I've had in recent memory. Also ordered the Italian sausage sandwich, which was also good. Unfortunately our last dish - chicken Caesar salad was a bit disappointing - the salad was extremely over dressed. I can walk here from my apartment, it's cheap, and it has pitchers -- so it gets 4 stars. We came here sort of late on a Friday night so we could have a pitcher and play the naughty version of "What's the Difference." Shortly after we got there, a group of drunk "bros" came in. One of them kept lurking over us and he was annoying but manageable. He wanted us to let him play the game, and when we took too long finishing that round, he farted near us. That's always a quick way to get me the heck out of somewhere. I'm very sensitive to smell. So we moved from the game to one of the booths and watched the shenanigans from there. The bartenders were mildly annoyed by the drunk people, but played along. They did make it clear that once the clock strikes 2 am, you have to get the heck out. They will slap the beer out of your hand, you do not get to finish it. It's a pretty relaxed environment, and the price is certainly right. Don't travel miles to come here, but check it out if you're in the area. I don't really like fancy dance clubs, so this place is great for me. I'm also intrigued by the reviews talking about how the owner sits at the bar, gets drunk, and yells at people. I'd like to see that -- unless he's yelling at me. read more

Been there a few times. Decent food, great service and a chill atmosphere. You're not going to be blown away by anything in particular, but it's a pretty nice place to wait out rush hour. Lots of TV's make for good distraction and the bartenders are smart enough not to butt in with a lot of small talk. The only negative may be the live music.
