Fish Tacos

Open Road Grill is amazing. My father went here to meet a friend and highly recommended it. I was out in the area and decided to try it out myself with a friend living out in Fals Church. I had very yummy fish tacos and a beer that was on sale for happy hour which I enjoyed as well. The ambiance is nice and service is fast, friendly, and efficient.

So good! The wings were phenomenal, would come back just for these! The ribs were amazing as well. Pretty casual place, good for groups. Good service as well :)

Wow. What a great experience. The server was super attentive and well versed on the menu. Place was spacious and had a nicely sized bar and booth options. The food, AMAZING. Ordered Brussels sprouts as a starter, delicious. The bleu cheese and bacon was the perfect addition. The wings, phenomenal! Some of the best wings I've had in quite some time. Ordered their spicy wings, which weren't that spicy but they were very tasty and had a good kick. Also ordered their lemon pepper nuggets, which were tasty as well. Can't wait to return and try more of the menu.

Ambiance: large open plan restaurant with a bar area towards the left side. That is also where they have Trivia on Tuesday evenings 7-9pm. Service: the manager came over make sure we were ok throughout the night. Our waitress was awesome. Very attentive and sweet. Food: we came for HAPPY HOUR and TRIVIA. It was National Oysters Day so a few of us ordered raw oysters and Fried oyster Po Boy. We all seemed to love the chicken bites. I had the Buffalo Garlic sauce which was spicy but super flavorful. Tuesday Trivia night was a full house so plan accordingly for parking. They do have an overflow lot for parking across from the Sunoco gas station on the corner before you get to the restaurant.

I didn't realize they were a conglomerate of other restaurants. Because I had ordered online, I didn't use the traditional entrance. This little strip of restaurants are all part of the same group. Open Road, Trio Grill, and Roadhouse. The parking lot was packed! They even had a tenant trying to help guide cars to available spots. There aren't a lot of spots to split between 3 restaurants, for 6PM on a Saturday, it was pretty crowed. Luckily if you are picking up there are roughly 2 reserved spots for pick up orders. I got the Open Road burger and it was quite delicious. They ask how you want your burger cooked and the way it came made it almost look like an onion volcano. Little peek into the burger. The taste was quite good, pretty standard and well cooked. It also came with a side of fries. One thing with the takeout though was that there weren't many ketchup packets included. I took a peek at their daily specials and happy hour menu and I understand why it can get crowded. I was definitely eyeing the $1 oyster Tuesdays or Fajitas Fridays.

$1 Oyster Night!

I've tried this place on a Tuesday night and it happened to be oyster night so we got a dozen oysters. Overall really solid for $1 oysters. Additionally, we got a philly cheesesteak and their original cheeseburger and it was all really good. I like how they have a million TVs so you can watch whatever sport you're interested in. I can imagine they have a lot of guests on the weekends during the prime time games. Overall, nice clean spot with a big menu offering!

Back again! Onion hamburger was off the charts! I, again, got the cheese steak. I WOULD GLADLY WALK ACROSS BROKEN GLASS, FOR MILES, ON MY LIPS TO GET THIS!!! Onion rings were perfect! Actually, starting with the salty ass popcorn.... Love this!! Will be back often! We are a good 30 minute drive to get here. See above comment!

My friends and I came for both HH and trivia! Open Road does trivia every Tuesday night so need to get there early for not only good seating but also for parking as the parking lot is small! Food and service were great! We sat on the outdoor patio! We ordered chili cheese fries and chicken bites. During trivia they also have $3 beers!

I love the open road location in Rosslyn! I came here for an event which had the patio/private space booked. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich which was decent and I felt it was fairly priced. Wow I love their fries!!! Kudos to the staff that night who was were all friendly and helpful throughout the night despite the crowds of the private event!

I've had take out from Open Road several times and they make some of the best burgers in the DMV area. This was our first time to the restaurant. It's a nice place next to their sister restaurant Trio Grill which is more upscale and have excellent food (review later). Both places have outdoor seating that is enclosed for comfort. We came to Open Road for brunch. Service was great and the food was great. We ordered the Huevos Rancheros, Breakfast Tacos and Blackened Chicken Caesar Salad. All dishes were great: the chicken on the salad was especially good. Don't know why this place wasn't in our regular rotations but have now added it. Worth a trip for the great service and food here (especially their burgers).

Breakfast tacos

We were in brunch mode and headed toward a nearby diner (yes, the one that rhymes with sliver whiner) but it then dawned on me that we should try something new - and I'm so glad we did. Friendly people in a casual yet tasteful place - and I really enjoyed my breakfast tacos! My pals loved the burgers and full breakfast. I'll definitely be back!

Very affordable and very high quality food. They give unlimited free popcorn as an appetizer, the fish tacos are amazing.

When is their $1 oyster day?

Our $1 Oyster Day is every Tuesday!

Hi! Are (very well behaved) dogs allowed in the patio area?

We've been here twice and I've never seen dogs there. I'm not sure of their policy but, in my opinion, the setup isn't conducive to pets. While they do have seating outdoors, it's a covered area which makes it a little more intimate feeling. Not… Read more

(I didn't remind him that my experience last time was subpar.) All that to say, we went in with open hearts and minds - and hungry bellies. Took a while to get our drinks, but the coffee was good once it arrived. Did have to ask for cream, which again l, took a little while to receive. Our orders were taken and after a while our food arrived. I found it pretty funny that my Make Your Mark breakfast, in which you get to choose the style of egg and the meat, contained the wrong meat. Clearly you don't really have any say in the matter. The sausage patties that I had ordered were not there. Instead, I noticed after the servers had delivered the food, there was bacon on my plate and no sausages. Not a big deal, but we did have breakfast for dinner one night last week, including bacon, so I had really wanted those sausage patties! However, it really wasn't worth flagging down our server who seemed non-existent once the food was delivered and I tucked in. Everything was fine, though I find it really odd that they don't season their eggs or hash browns at all. Unlike during COVID, thankfully, they do have salt and pepper on the table now. My husband began eating his sausage gravy biscuits and made a disgusted face. His gravy was barely warm. Isn't that odd? Wouldn't you think it came from a bubbling vat of hot gravy, poured over oven hot biscuits? He's rarely one to notice anything worth complaining about, but this put him over. He flagged down our waitress when he saw her next and asked if she could heat it up. She said she would just ask for a new plate to be made. Fine, though we knew that would take a while. He finally received it after our son and I were both finished our meals. No problem, I drank my coffee and we chatted while he ate. The only problem, was that it seemed to be the same temperature as the previous plate. Clearly, they are keeping the gravy barely warm. (Health safety?!) To top it all off, when we finally got the bill, which took asking for, they had put two meals of the sausage gravy biscuits. Now my husband had to complain again to get one of them removed. So, you leave feeling like you are the bad guy or the grumpy patron and it sours the whole experience. I am certain we will not return. Oh well, hopefully you have a better experience - twice is enough for us, though.

I'm a newer vegetarian, and I've tried falafel from quite a few places at this point and if I'm being honest, I had started to get a little turned off by it. But this place completely changed that for me. Their falafel wrap? Absolutely incredible. You can truly taste the difference. They make their falafel fresh daily, and it shows. It was perfectly seasoned, savory, and MOUTH-WATERING. Not dry, not overly heavy, just pure perfection. I'm still thinking about it, and I would go back just for that wrap alone. We also tried a few appetizers, and everything hit. The fries were perfectly crisp (not soggy at all), the Brussels sprouts were packed with flavor, and the hummus was smooth and fresh, exactly what you want. The crudités were also a great touch and paired really well with everything else and whatever homemade sauce they're using? That took everything to another level. My friend ordered a salad, and even that stood out. The beets were incredibly fresh, and you could tell that quality is a priority across the entire menu. Beyond the food, the experience itself was just as good. The ambiance is beautiful, very calming and welcoming, the kind of place you actually want to sit and enjoy your meal. The service was also top-tier. The servers were patient, attentive, and really detail-oriented. My friend has a gluten allergy, and they took extra care to make sure everything was handled properly, which we really appreciated. What really sets Naja apart is how fresh everything tastes. Nothing felt pre-made or rushed. It all felt intentional and well-prepared. If you're vegetarian, or even just looking for a solid Mediterranean spot with fresh, flavorful food and great service, this is 10/10 worth checking out. I'll definitely be back.

The price for what they offer is a bit steep, without anything very memorable to offer. With so much competition in this space, the main draw is the location, the time it's open, the tieback to Mosaic for nearby things to do. The drinks weren't bad on sampling the bar menu; and overall a good rotation option for anyone needing something new.
