    Happy Hour
    Natalie H.

This is a great bar in Mosaic with a fun happy hour. They have an extensive selection of whiskey and other liquor and the staff is very helpful in choosing what to order. It has that dark wood vibe while still feeling open because of the windows and the layout. I first tried the whiskey sour, which was light and refreshing, though I can't say I tasted any of the typical sour citrus flavor that I'd expect. I then ordered an old fashioned, which was very good and extremely whiskey forward. The happy hour was a good deal, and I'll definitely be going back if I'm in the area again!

Nice place to sit and have a couple drinks. As someone who doesn't always love whiskey, the whiskey sour was delicious. Great selection of bourbons and whiskey for what I think I a fair price.

Macmillan whiskey room: zero-proof cocktail and old fashioned

    1. Reservation: not necessary, you can walk-in 2. Food: not impressed 3. Drinks: were okay. - Triple threat old-fashioned, has no cherry, strong but lacks anything special - Manhattan: was okay too. 4. Ambience: very dark, intimate, amazing selection of whiskeys and other drinks used as a display. Zero-alcohol cocktails: are a great idea, so that people who don't drink or can't drink will not feel out of place sipping on lemonade, as their zero-proof cocktails look like the actual cocktails from the outside. I applaud this!

It's been several years since I came to this place. I was nearby and decided to walk in during happy hour. I was immediately greeted and sat at the bar. I was given a menu. The bartender was helpful in answering my drink questions. I got the Maple Rose which is a bourbon sweet and honey drink that was easy to drink. I wouldn't say it's complex but for someone who appreciates the sweeter drinks. The place is dark and cozy vibes. They had music playing but not too loud that you cannot think. I will definitely be back to try out some of their food and other cocktails.

First time here and I was impressed. Fantastic selections of bourbon, whiskey, scotch and even wines. The bartender made great drinks and the service was attentive. The trio dip was the perfect drinking snack too. Would definitely come back and try more of their drinks.

Came here for a date night. Always walked by the whiskey bar and finally had a chance to come in for happy hour and dinner. They have a big menu for $2 off drinks and appetizers during happy hour. The place is small but we were seated quickly at the last open table in the whiskey room. Loved the vibe, it felt like an English pub, noisy and cozy. We ordered the steak salad, fish n chips, bruschetta, and the bourbon glazed apple for dessert. The food was surprisingly good. I never thought the food would be as good as the drinks. They have a huge selection of drinks by the wall and I literally see the bartenders climbing a ladder to get the drink. Service was fast and friendly. They also have outdoor seating. Will definitely come again!

Really good selection of whiskey I ended up getting a single serving of Blanton. Which was pretty good! The rest of my party got rye which is a limited selection and unfortunately one of my other friends did not like the cinnamon whiskey they provided, malarkey, as opposed to fireball. Prices are also on the high side. Ambiance is pretty good parking is on the street if you come to the Mosaic district on a Saturday night be warned it is extremely busy and it's picked up in popularity over the years apparently. Overall if I was in the area I would definitely come back.

I was spending a Sunday with friends in the Mosaic district and we were looking for a place that was still doing happy hour. MacMillan actually runs their happy hour until 7pm which was awesome!! They had some apps and specific cocktail specials which was great. We were seated pretty much immediately and I loved the inside space. I felt immediately transported to a tavern or old library. I absolutely loved the decor. The menu was on an iPad which was interesting, but pretty easy to navigate and our server had some great recommendations. I did a bourbon smash which was pretty strong, but delicious. We also got a few apps to share, including the buffalo chicken sliders and chicken quesadilla. The apps were super delicious and perfect portions for happy hour. I loved the crema that the quesadilla came with! Overall, really delicious and quiet spot for drinks. Definitely check it out if you're in the Mosaic district.

Stopped by one evening after dinner for a night cap. We tried the Whiskey 101 Flight. You can read about each type of whiskey so it makes you pay attention to the subtle flavors and undertones. Great way to try them out if you're not certain what to get. The atmosphere is amazing. I felt like I was in a secret world or something, like Harry Potter with all of these mystical bottles of magical elixars up on the whiskey wall! Nice vibes and atmospehere. The waitress was sort of abrupt and would just announce things to us super loud out of nowhere, like no chill nor engaging. I would certainly go back however, and try food items from the menu. Very impressed.

This whiskey bar has a huge selection of whiskies along with a large selection of great food. My favorite thing was the Bourbon Cinnamon Baled Apples-perfectly ratio of bourbon taste with the sweetness from the vanilla ice cream. A perfect spot for a date night with great service! Made a stop here during the Blooms Festival that was happening at the same time. My friends and I saw a sign that promoted their Kikori Sakura Whiskey Drink. We wanted to sit down for a bit after walking around and checking out the various booths. Walking in, I felt like I was transported to a library, or a really neat looking tavern type of aesthetic! We got sat promptly, admiring how pretty this venue is. Already deciding on what we wanted, my friends ordered their drinks while I got my whisky. My drink came out in such an interesting look. It's all pink with actual sakura petals on top which made it all prettier to take photos with. After my phone ate, I took a sip and immediately realized that it wasn't bitter. It was really strange. Drinking whiskey always felt like there was a strong aftertaste to it but this was smooth. The top was foamy as well and it masked off most of the drink until I made my way to the bottom of the drink. And that's when I went, " Ohhhh, there's the whiskey. " We were there for a bit to talk and discuss what everyone else's alcohol was like. I really had a fun time. Although I'm not much of a whiskey person, I'd love to try out their floats!

Way too small. It's so small that you actually need to go outside to change your mind
    Elizabeth A.

The food was very good. The inside of the restaurant is way too small and I'm sorry, those of us with asthma are not sitting outside in the heat to eat dinner. It is seriously the tiniest restaurant you have ever seen. It just doesn't make sense to be that small in the mosaic district. And it wasn't noticed until we got home, but our first round of drinks were one price and the second round of the exact same drinks was higher. That's cheap.

    Sonya M.

A nice variety if you're a whiskey drinker though there could be other places with slightly better options. The food was great! Would definitely recommend the salmon or the brisket. The place looks small from the outside but inside it's not quite as small, but probably not the best size for a large party. The service was good as well.

We made reservations since we were a group of 6 including 2 infants, and these were warranted as the restaurant progressively filled up as we got closer to peak brunch hours. We were offered a large booth, which was appreciated as we needed space for the babies. The food here tasted quite good. My wife ordered the Pork Belly Benedict, which offered tender-crisp, thick slices of braised pork belly atop soft, buttery focaccia and coated with well poached eggs and creamy hollandaise. We both highly enjoyed my Broadlands Breakfast Sandwich, a clever take on a standard bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich swapping crispy, perfectly sweet French toast for standard bread. The breakfast potatoes served alongside were crispy on the outside with fluffy interiors and good seasoning. Our friends enjoyed their sandwiches as well. As the name alludes, the drink program is strong and offers something for everyone. In addition to wine and whisky, a solid selection of both cocktails and draft beers are available. Prices for both food and drinks were quite reasonable given the quality of what we received. I do dock a star for just so-so service. Our waitress was a bit MIA during the first part of our meal when we were trying to order, and then kept checking in on us every 5 minutes once our food arrived. We also had to remind her a few times to get a high chair for our little one. Fortunately, the food and drinks all arrived accurately and within a timely manner once ordered. Service woes aside, the creative fare satisfied our taste buds and we look forward to returning soon for to sample more of the brunch menu and libations.
