CHANTILLY, VA / BAKERY / 11-23-20 / BREAKFAST, DESSERTS, SNACKS +The pricing is excellent! Not as expensive as Paris Baguette and some of the other boutique boulangeries. +A wide variety of individually-wrapped breads, great for a quick grab 'n' go breakfast. +The taro bread is one of my favorite go-to's. +The cheesecake is great and not too sweet. -No loyalty rewards program.

Worth it? Yes Repeat? Yes Located inside the Lotte in Chantilly Metro Tech Drive. It's a convenient location to stop by and grab some fresh bread at a value price. It's a Korean bakery shop so don't expect them to cater to your culture's bread and there may be language barriers depending on the workers. (There is still signs in English that explains the bread, and what ingredients go into it so ++ for that.) Picked up some fresh milk bread and it's soooooo good. $5.99 and $7.99 for two different types ( flat top and non-flat) +Croquettes $2.50 is a great deal. Crisp and full of flavor. ~coffee and expresso is just basic. If you want some good coffee just go across the street to Cafein

We ordered custom cake here for my daughter's 16th birthday party and they did an amazing job. The velvet cake itself was great too.

They never fail to impress us with custom ordered cake. We gave them a picture and they replicated it exactly.

Terrific bake shop! Their buns are always fresh, fluffy and of a good variety. I think in the beginning I felt a little alienated, but after multiple visits, they began to recognize me and warmed up to me. Every time I visit my sister and parents in PA I bring each 10 to 12 buns of various variety. My sister loves the strawberry and mom loves the red bean, so they get their fix. Naturally, when my parents had their 69th anniversary, I ordered a cake there. My parents thought it was both beautiful, delicious and everyone raved about it! It was modestly sweet, so the flavor of the green tea was distinct and the butter milk paired very well with the umami of green tea. You do need to confirm your order with them on the cake, make sure they repeat your order back to you... Also, from multiple occasions, stay sharp on the monetary transactions. I don't believe errors are intentional, but the best way to head it off is to sound off things. I think their artwork is the best for Korean bakeries in the area.

Located inside Lotte Plaza. This bakery is super convenient, since it's so close to home. They have a decent variety of baked goods. Employees are quick and friendly. Sometimes they will throw in a free bakery item in your bag when you check out, which is very nice of them. Recently I picked up a cake for my Aunt's birthday. I love that they have a bunch of ready made cakes available in their display case. They offer different sized cakes, which is perfect if you just want a slice for yourself or a larger cake for the family. Like most Korean bakeries, the cakes are not overly sweet and the cream they use is very light. They don't use icing, its more like a whipped cream consistency. The cake itself is also very light, like a sponge cake. The fruits on top are fresh and juicy. It was all delicious and my Aunt loved it.

An authentic korean bakery in Northern VA area. Their breads and others desserts are so much better than any other local korean bakeries around the area. After trying their desserts and breads, you will become one of the regulars. Price is reasonable and all are fresh and in a good quality

Love all the pastries I got from them so far! I want to try everything! The best and friendliest bakery in Chantilly!

Butter vanilla on the left and blueberry on the right. Yum!
    T R.

So the vanilla butter slice was really dry and tasted almost stale. The blueberry was a lot better and the moisture of the bread was perfect. Other than that, I gave it 3/5 because of the service. The lady was just rude and even though we were the only customers there, she didn't give us proper attention. She also refused to give more than 1 spoon per cake slice which I thought was ridiculous but sorta amusing. Cakes are decent, service sucks!

The decor makes you think of what you'd find at an eccentric great aunt's home, but in a positive way. Each area has its own mini aesthetic that contributes to the entire place; in the back are color themed books that give it a more serious look, while upstairs is more whimsical in it's random assortment of chairs and couches. The food is in appealing display cases downstairs. The stand out pastries for me are the tiramisu filled cronuts. Drinks wise, they have the typical cafe fare but excitingly so they also have Colombe on draft which I will always be excited about. I recommend this place to grab a snack and socialize!

The music is always on point (and not too loud), so it's perfect if you want to study or get some work done. They also have outdoor seating, plus a not-so-secret second floor where you can usually find a cozy spot. I've ordered cakes from here multiple times, and they're incredibly smooth and not overly sweet, and honestly, it's hard to go back to typical American cakes after trying these. Everything just feels thoughtfully made. The service is just as impressive, everyone seems really knowledgeable about the menu and genuinely willing to help you decide on the perfect order (especially if you're indecisive like me). I wish I had taken more photos from all the times I've been, but that probably says enough. You really can't go wrong with anything on their menu.

A small word of caution - I was here on a Sunday, mid morning, and there were a LOT of young children scrambling around the restaurant while their parents enjoyed breakfast. They were not misbehaving, they just brought a healthy, high-spirited energy to the place.
