We are especially fond of their aptly named signature "Heaven" cake (white chocolate raspberry), their Strawberry Fields cake, and their chocolate cupcakes with peanut butter frosting... My husband knows how much I love Boston Cream Pie (it's a cake). He saw it on the menu, ordered, picked it up and brought it out for dinner on my 60th birthday. What an utter disappointment: dry, flavorless yellow cake with something wet, thin and unidentifiable filling. The chocolate ganache is what earned the star, but it was too much--the entire cake was frosted with that and regular frosting was added around the bottom. I went to pick up a birthday cake, as I have done for many years, at Victoria's Cakery. The man at the bakery told me the order was a rush order for last week and they had called multiple times for us to pick it up. No order for today, 5/8. Funny, no missed calls from Victoria's Cakery on the phone and the birthday is 5/10 (not last week). The rude man then handed me the order form for my review, walked to the other counter and began talking to other customers while rudely talking to me from across the room. I asked him why he was being rude to which he indicated he was not. He then walked over to me, yanked the order out of my hand and said "that's fine, no cake"! wow so disappointed. ive been getting the heaven cake here, off and on, since 2001. yes, for 100 years. my hub wanted the caramel cake for birthday, so i did an order on the phone. this was my first non-heaven cake. what a disappointment!!!! i was short on time bec i have a new baybay, so my dad helped me with pick up. i called the store to ask if it was ready and to tell them my dad would do pick up. the person on the phone was rude and short with me. my dad put the cake in the fridge and i didnt give it any thought. hub came home and i took out the cake for candles. it looks like a baby decorated it. i cannot believe this is a "professional bakery"!!! look at the pictures! the cake also didnt taste good. i didnt really get a caramel taste. it just tasted like a bag of sugar. if i had a time machine, i wouldve just gotten a grocery store cake. it wouldve been a hundred times better. read more

I have been picking up cakes from Victoria's for years. While visiting the Fairfax Chocolate Festival one year, I had a piece of their white chocolate raspberry cake and it stole my heart. This is the best cake on the planet. While grocery store cakes are light and airy, Victoria's cake is moist and dense like an old-fashioned cake. I love the way they decorate. The frosting is thick and rich. The chocolate cupcakes are amazing with their devil's food flavor and they are packaged in a box with cupcake holes so they don't touch. This is one of the area's best places to go for special occasion cakes. Be sure to call at least three days in advance for a weekend pickup (they are not open on Sundays). I wish they had drive up/curbside pickup because parking is really hard. read more

The staff was super friendly and helped me with cake style and size, also gave me great advice on lettering color. In and out in 5 mins. On pick up day the cake was ready to go - no delays. The cake was shown to me, and then boxed up. Again, the staff was very friendly and I was on my way in less than 5 mins. The cake itself was DELICIOUS! Purchased two gorgeous cakes & wow were they a hit. I purchased a lemon cake (12") and a chocolate cake (6") for the company's monthly "cake day". Both were ornamented with a ribbon wrapped around the cake & a bow to top it off. Everybody loved the lemon cake, it was delicate yet dense with the perfect hint of lemon throughout each bite. Very quaint bakery/cake house with a variety of cakes to offer. You can either order a whole cake, a cake slice or some cupcakes which is great depending on how big of a sweet tooth you may have. I had the "heaven" cake which consisted of raspberry and white chocolate. The cake itself had just the right amount of sweetness, and call me crazy but I think I could actually taste the love and care that went into the cake (how sappy does that sound, right?). Sweet, delectable, not too fluffy but also not too firm. Really satisfied my sweet tooth. I've had the carrot cake before too, and that's also just as good. We were at the courtyard Thai next door and saw this place and decided to pick up some cupcakes to take with us. We got the Oreo cupcakes which also had a Oreo inside the batter. The taste was good but not great. The price $3.25 for the cupcakes but they were on the smaller side and I would not consider them worth the price charged. They did have several cakes in the display case that looked good. We may order a cake In the future from here and decide if we need to revisit my review. read more

When Victoria's Cakery opened up and rave reviews were written, I trucked out from Falls Church to satisfy me sweet tooth. With Northern VA traffic the way it is...I never went back...and the bakeries in FC were horrible too...it was just the distance.... Now, my amazing fiancé lives 5 minutes from Victoria's and my sweet tooth is ecstatic! They prepared this beautiful chocolate, buttercream, white chocolate birthday cake for his birthday. We got there five minutes before they closed and they only had a couple of cupcakes left.
