Vanilla Cupcake

My vanilla cupcake was really delicious and the lady there was really nice! (I was going to take a picture of the cupcake but I ate it once I got to my car.)

Vegan Vanilla

Absolutely delicious just had the strawberry cupcake and it was on point. The sugar amount was perfect for my mom who is diabetic. Sad we didn't get to try the sugar free cupcakes. But I'll make it out again. So happy to find a place that does vegan. Will definitely be ordering my son's bday cake for this upcoming month. Head over ASAP to get your sweet on!!!! The service was amazing, so kind and helpful. The ambiance is nice and welcoming.

Okay I was traveling for work and had to bribe my workmate to take me here- i think he secretly…read moreenjoyed it! Food: The ube sesame was fire! Loved that combination, and the ube taiyaki was another favorite- im a sucker for ube. It came out fresh and warm, which made it that much better like a warm hug. This was supposed to be a quick stop, but I liked it enough to come back the very next day to try more flavors! On my second visit, I tried the Thai tea filling and another one I believe was Oreo ice cream swirl. The ube is still the one I'd come back for, but it was fun trying something different. Service: The staff was super friendly and helpful. Since it was my first time, I appreciated them helping me figure out what to order. There were several things I wanted to try, so having them tell me their favorite was a no brainer it made the experience even better. Atmosphere: The space was clean and had plenty of seating. I appreciated being able to sit down and enjoy everything while the taiyaki was still warm. A nice spot to take a little dessert break and a nice vibe. This is definitely a place to take a date! Overall: Coming back two days in a row probably says enough about how much I enjoyed Rice Culture! Between the fresh, warm taiyaki, the ube sesame ice cream swirl, and the friendly staff, this was an easy place to love. Definitely recommend trying the ube sesame swirl if you're having trouble deciding!

The stuffed Oreo fish was a little dry and definitely wasn't my favorite, but it's still good for what it is. It's a bit pricey for a dessert, but I think it makes for such a fun outing. I also thought their cup desserts to-go were really cool and unique! The inside of the shop is super cute and aesthetic, too. I loved all the decor and the overall vibe. There isn't much employee interaction since you order through a kiosk, but honestly, that was totally fine and made the process quick and easy. Definitely worth checking out if you want a cute, unique dessert experience!

Def recommend mixing the whipped cream in to help sweeten up the flavor! The waffle that served in a cup with creme brulee was SO DELICIOUS! Highly recommend! It also had matcha pieces at the bottom of the waffle. It's large enough for 2-3 people! The pancake- I got their seasonal peach, it is large! Easily shareable between 2-3 people as well. I didn't like how eggy it was, it didn't taste like a dessert to me. But I loved how soft the peach was! The service was good, you can order via kiosk or in person.

Not sure what happened, but our pancakes tasted more like eggs than pancakes lol. Overall I'll go back and give it another shot, the pancakes were probably an off day. The onigiris were all pretty good. The matchas were great flavors but not quality grade. The ambiance is casual and there's tons of cute anime art on the wall.

It's looking a bit unkept, service was friendly by the lady in the bar but the waiter was ok. The water cups we were given had lipstick marks. The menus were old, bended and dirty. Inside, it's a different story: chic, cozy, and intimate, with an upscale feel that isn't stuffy. The kitchen is right there, so you watch the servers moving, the cooks cooking, and the whole restaurant running around you. It feels like you're in on it. We started with cocktails. An Old Fashioned made with a Blanton's Gold barrel pick, and the house special, a vodka martini with a Japanese twist. I'm not a martini person, but this one won me over. It was smooth and balanced, not too sweet or too tart. We liked both drinks so much that we ordered another round with dessert. We did the tasting menu with the reserve pairings, and every course was excellent. The yakitori yak was our favorite, with the venison a close second. Being able to talk with the chefs and staff while they worked, about the food and what goes into cooking it, made the night. They were truly kind and friendly, and we really appreciated feeling welcome. Don't skip the bread. They're generous with it, which you'll need, because you won't want to leave any of the sauces behind. It's made from the owner's father's sourdough starter, which is 51 years old. Elyse is craft and storytelling on a plate, and it feels like the chef's family is part of that story and he's inviting you into it. We'll absolutely be back.

Wife and I sat at the Chef's Counter for a truly wonderful meal last night. The menu is exceptional, five courses, several with two options, and the progression was just perfect. We really loved all of the dishes, but for sure the ravioli with wild asparagus and ramps is one I will remember for a long time. The octopus was also a memorable dish, and the poussin was complex, layer after layer of flavor and the salt level was so good...just perfect food, perfectly executed. Oh, and shout out to the owner's dad, who is in his 90s and makes the bread, a rich sourdough, served warm, that has a 50 year old starter at its essence. Yum. We did the wine pairings and I def recommend. Some really good wines, curated from small vineyards globally, matched perfectly and well presented. The sommelier nailed it. We also just loved the service. Nice touches pre arrival, they are expecting you when you arrive and there's a lovely personal touch and welcoming feel. The ambience is warm, and you can hear and talk and it does feel like you're at a dinner party with friends and family. Finally, shout out to the chefs and servers. Knowledgable, conversational, and charming. We really enjoyed the Chef's Counter and the entire experience. Kudos to Chef Jon Krinn and his family for creating this masterpiece of a restaurant. It is Michelin star worthy, and we cannot wait to go back.

The black sesame latte is pretty good-- it has a strong black sesame taste as well as the little black sesame bits. It's pretty simple as it's mainly milk and black sesame. I've been to this location when it first opened years ago and they've really upped their menu and decorations inside since. The ambiance inside is beautiful, ideal for anyone looking for a good Instagram picture. There's so many angles and details so that no matter where you're sitting, there's a good vibe. There's also gorgeous seating outside since it can get crowded. For food, you order from the front and they'll call you when the food is ready. We ordered the dubai gelato and pistachio lokmas. Both were presented tastefully to make sure our eyes and cameras wanted to eat before our stomachs. The dubai gelato was a quality dessert with a good ratio of milk: cream. The pistachio flavor was evident on top, but it was just a kinda tart vanilla ice cream with toppings. I did like it, however, and it paired well with the lokmas. The lokmas were fried to perfection, a nice amount of chewy, and covered with a good ratio of pistachio cream. They were a decent size and conducive to sharing. The prices of everything, overall, was pretty expensive, but the quality definitely made up for it. I'd recommend this cafe to someone looking for a unique sweet treat, catching up with a group of girl friends of 2-4 people, or for a first date!
