A chef friend referred us to Indigo Pineapple initially. We have had many fancy cakes, even from celebrity bakers. Each of those cakes looked beautiful but always fell short on taste so we thought either a cake can be beautiful or taste good. I have had many, many cakes in this lifetime and none have come anywhere close to what these cakes taste like. Flavor AND texture are absolutely the best. Visually amazing as well, the small details and working with you on a creative way to execute even a complicated theme or favorite item is like magic. I am critical/detail oriented and even I was impressed. I am not sure that any baker could match, even those that you see on TV. I would give Junnie of Indigo Pineapple 10 stars if I could. She made the most beautiful cake for my son's first birthday. Our theme was the Very Hungry Caterpillar and her cake was truly a work of art. The cake had the caterpillar with all the various foods he ate and finally the butterfly he transforms into. The color scheme of the various elements was amazing, almost like Eric Carle himself made the cake. I don't know how she did it, but she was truly able to capture the magic of the book and its illustrations. Oh, and the cake was DELICIOUS. Everyone at the party commented on how yummy the cake was. I heard over and over, "I usually don't like birthday cakes but this one was delicious". It was moist, not too sweet and very very fresh with some strawberries.
