Ham and melon

Go for a wine bar and tapas experience Wowed by the service and wine recs Ambiance is intimate, for small groups in a small space Menu was great - awesome bread and meat selection

Octopus was slimy. All the food suckes

Worst meal I've had all year. All six dishes we ordered were horrible. Bland, super acidic, doused in lemon juice, and overall uninspired. Cocktails were weak too and unbalanced. 0/5. Great service though.

Really solid spot in the west village that gives off those west village vibes. The staff was so kind and had really lovely conversations with us, the seating intimate and adorable, and the wines and cocktails quite good. I liked how inventive and unique each dish was, and would go back just to see how that changes over time as you don't get that every day. Not any one dish completely blew me away which is why i'm keeping this to 4 stars, but it's a close call. Bread and butter very solid, expensive, but whatever, better than bad bread and butter. The scallop ceviche was truly excellent and served in a scallop which I loved, but was shown up by the hamachi crudo which just had so much flavor and drove a unique taste that you don't typically see in a crudo. We also did the wagyu tartare which had a wasabi hint and was realy good, but not quite as good as the hamachi crudo in my book. The delicata squash was a beautiful dish, if not maybe the most interesting in taste, but the labne accompanying it was definitely great. The graffiti eggplant however had the most interesting taste profile, a very spicy thai pepper, and was the closest dish to blowing me away with taste and flavor. The raddichio salad good and fresh, and the beet gnocchi also unique with dill on top. The Octopus with romesco also good, but again not blowing me away. Affogato was good, chocolate olive oil cake was not something i would order again, and the manager had a great conversation with us about restaurants, gave us a round of free cocktails, so very easy to like this place! We'll be back as it really is West Village cute!

Intimate vibe of a restaurant. They have seasonal items like the oysters pictured below. It was a little tightly packed and the portions were on the smaller side so you'd have to order about 5 items for 2 people. The beet gnocchi stood out to me due to the pistachios used and the sauce. However the steak tartare was slightly underwhelming along with the seasonal mushrooms. There weren't too many meat options on the menu as well

I had a chance to try the menu at West10West, in the West Village - that I just found out is owned by Ryan Reynolds. Everything was delicious, with highlights being the seared octopus, beet gnocchi and king trumpet mushrooms. The umami flavors are built up so well, with the elements of each dish complimenting each other nicely, which is intentionally done to develop your palate. The colors were beautiful too. My only note is that there are not many proteins on the menu making this a great place to take a vegetarian or vegan friend. I needed a burger a couple hours after. But this quaint little wine bar is a great place for intimate convo, and vibes.

Had a wonderful rainy dinner here with friends. The seating is very intimate, highly recommend having a reservation in advance. I'm allergic to gluten, dairy, and eggs and I was able to eat most of the items off of their rotating menu. The wine selection was also great! My favorite dishes were the trumpet mushrooms with shiso leaf, hamachi crudo in coconut milk and octopus and romesco. The wagyu was a little overpriced for the portion size and preparation in my opinion (we didn't get a picture of that dish). The service was outstanding! No notes on that front.

Some restaurants just get it. They understand how to make a night feel special without trying too hard. WEST10WEST is one of those places. The space is small, in the best way possible. It feels intimate without being cramped, cool without being pretentious. The menu is tight, seasonal, and full of dishes that make you pause after the first bite because they're that good. Every plate feels intentional, layered, and thoughtful. You can tell there's a chef in the kitchen who actually cares about balance, texture, and flavor. And don't even get me started on the wine list--whoever curated it has an incredible palate. If you love natural wines that actually pair well with food, this is your spot. Service is dialed in, the kind where you feel taken care of without it ever being over the top. There's no rush, no fuss, just a team that knows how to create an atmosphere where you want to linger. If you're looking for one of the best small restaurants in NYC, something beyond the obvious hype spots, this is it. WEST10WEST feels like a secret you want to keep, but won't, because places this good deserve to be known. Already thinking about what I'll order next time.

LOVED this bar. My friend and I went on a Friday night and got 2 seats at the bar. Small, but nice lighting and chill vibes. Our bar tender was so fun (I think his name was John?) and made us fun drinks just based on flavors/ingredients we like. I also really like espresso martinis and theirs was one of the best I've had.

My partner and I were so excited to try this place! We passed it once late at night while we were strolling and it was closed. It was still lit and we peeked through the window - it was so beautifully decorated and was giving *chic* and *romantic* vibes. Unfortunately it felt a lot less chic and romantic when it was filled with people. It's too tiny for anyone to dine comfortably or even hear each other speak. The restaurant is so small that when you're seated at the low tables and people are sitting at the bar your face is directly in line with bar-goers butts. I smelled a fart while dining. If you're above 5'8 you shouldn't step foot in here. You'll feel cramped and unhappy and the rest of us who are under 5'8 will feel attacked by your unhappy energy. Nothing on the menu was really jumping out at us so we went for a couple of appetizers/sides. They charged $9 for the bread appetizer - it was two slices of (grocery store?) bread with a pretentiously-plated butter. I'm serious - picture attached. The "Serrano ham" dish was just a plate of pretty regular prosciutto with the tiniest spoonful of fig jam in the middle for $13. I don't know why I foolishly thought it would at least be served with bread? I felt like a moron eating these appetizers: like the meme where the guy is progressively putting more and more clown makeup on. The espresso martini seemed to be a popular order, but before we entered the restaurant we watched two people dining outside sip it and make a yucky face, so we opted for other drinks. Mine was really good - it was some kind of ginger cocktail that was really excellently balanced - just enough spicy and sweet. My partner's Prosecco-based cocktail was served in a really big wine glass with a glass straw which was very fun conceptually but the experience of drinking it was noisy and cartoonish. All in all I think this place is SO quaint and sweet and the vibes are *immaculate* but they shouldn't offer bar seating when the bar is 1 foot away from the tables, and I think the menu could use a bit of a revamp. The prices are a little absurd for what you're getting, but that kind of seems to be standard now for the West Village since all the finance people have moved in and pushed out all the queer artists. But that's a rant for another app.

Ordered a Cadillac Margarita (Casamigos) for me + Vodka Martini (Grey Goose) for my partner + thick Fries + Slice of Chocolate Cake Drinks weren't anything special but the fries were hreat and cake hit the spot. Actually, I'm so glad we stumbled in because their cute and short food menu is PERFECTION for lovers of small bites -- crab dumplings, caviar deviled eggs, spicy tuna crispy rice, shrimp cocktail, oysters, sardines, etc... Things I dream of all in one sexy, cozy place that whisks you far away from the streets of Manhattan. Our chairs were comfy, and there were many seating areas that looked equally as inviting. The bar was gorgeous, lighting was super moody. The room was daaark and not very busy on a Friday around 8-8:30 P.M which we appreciated. I had a great experience at Chambers and can't wait to return to try more of their seasonal menu!…read moreThe restaurant has a lovely ambiance that feels upscale yet inviting and intimate. While I can't comment on the wine list personally, I know they are well-known for their extensive selection. After placing our order, we were delivered the sesame pizza bianca, which is a complimentary starter bread with dinner. The bread was a nice size and light and airy with a perfect crust and a delicious, crusty sesame seed bottom. The prawns were our starter and came three to a dish. They were sizable, though since they are served with the head and tail, there isn't a ton of meat on them. That said, they were flavorful and juicy with a nice sauce and just the right amount of spice that didn't overwhelm the fish. The snowdance chicken was the star of the show! It was incredibly juicy and tender with perfectly prepared skin, so I was happy to learn they keep this on the menu year-round. It was topped with some spinach that was solid, though nothing special. We also ordered a side of mushrooms which came with a creamy sauce and fish roe intended to be mixed at the table. The roe wasn't fishy at all but added a great element of umami to the flavorful, well-textured mushrooms. Overall, the service was very professional, though I thought the pacing could have been improved as the dishes came out a bit slowly. I would also recommend ordering at least two dishes per person, as the three plates we shared between two people felt like just a touch too little food. I'm already looking forward to going back--I'd try the winter chicories salad or the veal sweetbreads next time, but I'm open to exploring everything since the quality is so high. I noticed a side dish listed on their online menu that wasn't actually offered in person, so it might be worth double-checking if you have your heart set on a specific item.

I made reservations after seeing their special hot chocolate on social media and had a wonderful meal! Started off with the hiramasa which was fresh and went deliciously well with the citrus-y and sweet cara cara orange, as well as the aji peppers! The castelfranco chickory salad was fresh, crunchy, slightly creamy and slightly tangy - basically everything you need in an appetizing salad! Their house sesame bread was fluffy and chewy with a good amount of sesame flavor without having too many seeds. For mains, the farfelle was very interesting and tasty! The pasta was al dente and the sauce was addicting! At first I was wondering if it would resemble a nut butter, but it was creamy with very prominent walnut flavors and interesting texture (perhaps from the blended walnut skin component?). The addition of burrata and other cheeses was perfect for a cheese-lover like me. The pork chop was flavorful, well-seasoned, and juicy. The leek and cabbage mixture soaked up all the sauce and I wish there was more! Their special hot chocolate with an espresso martini marshmallow was fire!!!! Hot chocolate was decadent, not too thick, and not too sweet. The toasted marshmallow melted quickly but definitely had coffee and alcohol flavors. The amount per serving doesn't appear a lot but appropriate considering how rich it is. The mascarpone dessert had a great balance of fluffy cream, extremely crispy phyllo, and crunchy nuts with a touch of chocolate and vanilla! For drinks, I was really curious about the bi lemongrass but they ran out. Staff recommended the semiplume, which felt like a beer, tea, and sparkling wine all at once! Loved the floral aroma and bitter tea notes. My partner's cocktails were also well executed. Staff were nice and friendly. We got seats right by the kitchen so staff often checked in with us, including the chef!! Vibes were intimate with the dim lighting and minimalist decor. Definitely want to come back to check out their chicken and other dishes!!
